"White noise" and Costa Ris HDB flats... In my opinion, I find the way the Blocks of flats that were "laid" out in this development may contribute to having more stacks/flats in this unit - experiencing louder than usual "white noise" from the daily MRT trains passing through. Maybe, the architect believes in the concept of "shared-responsibility for the noise".It is a pity that there is only ONE MSCP car park i.e. Block 526 to shield the estate from MRT train noise.Too bad and what a pity, this is the only car park. But not enough to shield the entire estate from the mrt train noise. In many other developments; especially the new condo developments near to Lakeside MRT such as the Caspian and Lakeholmz condo; the blocks are lined-up such that only the NW facing flats "enjoy" the loudest noise i.e. closest and parallel to the MRT track. Even the newer Lakefront residences also share this same concept. One notable difference between Caspian, Lakeholmz and Lakefront residences are that these are "private" condos. And perhaps: "YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET". While maybe, HDB Costa Ris is pehaps a public housing? And this is why? the mrt train noise should be shared "equally" amongst as many stacks/flats as possible? Hmmm... What can I do if I stay there? Really no choice! Have to get used to it. At least the good news or consolation is that it should stop after 12pm on normal days other than weekends or a holiday.

Nowadays, it is so easy to tell if a geomancer "moonlights" selling lucrative (but useless) commercial products in the name of Feng Shui... Just visit their website to see if they sell any products or not... When the selling stops; the buying CAN!

The 1, 2, 3 of the Art of Feng Shui:- 1. Interpret the concept. 2. Visual and try to realistically apply it. 3. Implement it! (To the best of one's ability)

These are some considerations: 1. In your first posting, I understand that you are already aware that the altar "MUST" have both "reds" in the Feng Shui ruler. If so, then this is good. 2. Please see attached:- 2.1. All the FOUR ranges in RED; must have both in RED. 2.1.1. Including the ancestor tablet table top which is slightly lower : this should also fall under both = in red. 2.2. The rest of the other two ranges in Yellow is considered NICE to be in both RED. but if really can't then not as important as Para 1.

In the past, the generation of HDB flat especially those built around the 1960s to before 1980's; all such flats have a main entrance door where: 2.1. The main door has auspicious measurements that falls in the red. Since this is the main door; and for Yang Feng Shui; there is a range of measures on the Top between 80.5 cm to 91 cm that is considered auspicious. 2.2. All these HDB flat's main entrance door takes advantage of the above; by having both the main door within the auspicious dimension and also it was remarkable that both sides of the main door's frame or in your case the "pillars" also within this auspicious dimensions. 3. Thus, if one can "have the pie and eat it all" as mentioned in the above is good or great! 4. If you can find a range of measurement that the interior space is auspicious; plus the frame outer measurement is also in the red for both the top and bottom measurements - since this is an altar would be wonderful. 5. Please note that the above (para 4) is NICE-to and not a MUST-do. But at least the internal space or table top should be in red for both top/bottom measurements. 6. For example, many ready made altar tables comes with a from floor to table top of around 49 3/4 inches or around 126 cm (plus or minus). And even if one were to add a piece of glass to protect the top; the glass can be of a reasonable thickness. So long as it is no thicker than 128cm. Which is pretty reasonable tolerance or variance. Of course, if one intend to recycle a bullet proof glass from a bank's teller glass panel then it may be too thick. Otherwise, most glass is not that thick and even with the glass falls within the tolerance. 7. The idea of having a wide range e.g. if the table top is suppose to be up to 126cm. Even if a mistake has been made by say the contractor; the table can go as low as > 124cm. (see attachment). Thus, such contingencies are built in - if or should any mistake (if any) has been made).

As I mentioned, in the earlier threads: 1. What is more important is to see whether those who have interests in coin placements understand the concept or concepts behind it (them). 2. The other concept of placing the Five Treasures were also incorporated in the attachment. 5. The other concept of "3 coins". Why 3 coins? In the Five Elements concept: 3 represents wood and the coins represents metal. 5.1 What this means is that "metal destroys wood" to create wealth. 5.2 Thus, just in front of the stove; whenever one "steps on the tiles area" to cook; this implies stepping on wealth. 5.3 Similarly, when one steps into the home and steps on a 3 coins this is also "weatlh". 6. In fact, one could even place the Five Treasures each into each of say the individual bedrooms - if one wants to. Again, there is no hard or fast rule. 7. In many instances; in the past and even today, some people; simply randomly scatter coins onto their uncompleted floors. As opposed to the orderly method as shown in the attachment. Don't ask me whether this is better or not so good etc... Your call. And there is no right or wrong, here! Because, the idea has been achieved! That of "placing" coins or wealth into one's home.

Chinese New Year (CNY) andAuspicious Day to Start Work: 2nd, 6th or 8th day When do we open for business during CNY? In this sms, a client asks " In the first 15 days of Chinese New Year... can you choose a good date for me & partner. Unless one is getting married etc... then may consider choosing an auspicious date. But generally for Chinese New Year and which day to first open for business; should apply it in a global context. Thus, if one reads the past threads; one should try to open for business on "even days". And avoid "odd " days....

Further to what I had mentioned: 1. Someone has to take a look at the layout plan and try to "incorporate" the theme of an idea e.g. the idea or belief of placing "Five treasures" embedded in the foundation of a new home. 2. And the above is based on an "Art" then a science. 3. Even when Gordon Ramsay came Asian in his cooking / learning tour; and I believe, it was in Malaysia; 3.1. He was introduced to one of the local homemaker. And he was surprised to learn that a recipe or rather most of the recipes are based on a term he learned "Aga Aga". 3.2. "Aga aga" in Malay means "roughly". 3.3. Thus, for example when making a curry dish, the cook would roughly add various spices and she does not have fixed grams or measure it in a cup etc.. she simply "Aga aga" and adds them according to her taste.

These are some considerations: 1. Usually, coins placement comes from ideas/beliefs and hopes from various cultures. 2. For example in Malaysia; while an old Malay house was dismantled; they found a coin on one of the wood foundations. The coin showed the date it was built. 3. In the Chinese culture: 3.1. There is concept in some Chinese beliefs known of placing "Five-Treasures". Here, "treasures" are placed at each corner of a building + the centrepoint. 3.2. There is no hard or fast rule that it has to be a coin or many coins or specific number of coins. 3.3. So long as the idea of placing coins the "North, South, East, West and the Centre" or "4 corners of a home plus the centrepoint" is good enough. 3.4. So what is this about bronze or brass or gold kind? In fact, what are available are often used. 3.5. For information, those Chinese coins with a square hole are usually copper coins. Unless of course these are coins meant for a tourist or "tourism" lead coins. 3.5.1. As mentioned under Para 2 above, the coin was actually a British coin. And when they rebuilt the building in another location (which became a museum) the builders out of respect; placed back the same coin; but also added a Malaysian coin of that year. Thus, in the near future, if the building would again be deconstructed; someone else could find the coins which dates back to it's first build and the 2nd coin of the 2nd build. 4. For Chinese, in addition, there is a Qing Dynasty consisting of 10 emperior coins ranging from 1644 to the last Qing emperor in 1911. These coins can be placed at the frontage of the house such as the main entrance door. 5. Please note that all the coin placement has more do with with an "ART of" ... and there are no right or wrong way or anencyclopedia on such things. 6. Thus, I have highlighted especially the idea of the "Five Treasures". Seriously, I would look at each layout plan and if I were to "implement" this; how best to do so = the "art of" ..... 7. Really, no point asking me: gold, silver, type size weight etc... This is again just "an art of"....

Unlike The Centriswhere their stacks47, 50 & 51 are abovethe Entry/Exits; For this development, North Park Residences,fortunately, looks like it does nothave stacks directlyabove the entrance/exit to the bus terminal/depot. But if possible try to avoid purchasing stacks close-to (above) the entrance/exit as shown in the attachment. However, there are another exit in the 2nd attachment. Do study where each of the Entry/Exits are in this development and if possible, avoid "them".

In the past, there were similar projects where the condo blocks/stacks/units are directly built above a bus terminal/depot. For example, five years ago, The Centris @ Jurong Central TOP in 2009. Then, soon after, I received several requests for some of the units in stacks #47, #50 and #51 for Feng Shui investigation(s) as several of the family members that moved-in had some accident or so after moving in. For example, a male breadwinner had suffered some burns from spilled hot water etc... So happen; that year 2009: the Bad Yellow star #5 (misfortune/sickness) is at the frontage directly above the Entrance/Exit of the bus terminal/depot. And also "Grand Duke-Tai Sui" was located at North-North-East 30 degrees... adding a double whammy. Here, especially for stacks #47 and #51; their master bedroom falls within North & NE sectors. And for that year North = #5 Five yellow and NE = Grand Duke (Tai Sui)... and the constant movement of buses in and out directly below the master bedrooms is inauspicious.

Since we are on this topic; Chinese Horoscope or (Astrology) or 12 Chinese zodiac signs is even more simplistic. Chinese Horoscope is based simply on the year one is born. Thus, again, if one was born in 1988; the entire "batch" of 1988 cohorts are considered as "Earth-Dragons". See attachment. Contrast this with Chinese Ba Zi analysis which needs a minimum of YYYY DD MM (HHHH is not compulsory). Thus it is no wrong to call "you" a Dragon or an Earth-Dragon or even "Fire element - Ba zi" depending on what is looked at. In fact, in theory, it is also not wrong to call you a "Fire-Monkey" : if you look at your day pillar where your Heavenly Stem (HS) has a fire element and the Earthly Branch (EB) is a Monkey. But this may lead to some confusion. As one is more familiar being called a person born in the Year of the Dragon. Again, there is no right or wrong. As this is based on facts and whether one is looking at a simplistic model: YEAR only or YYYY + DD + MM.

Please take note that the North compass marking on Forestville EC's sitemap is incorrect. Stacks that should face NW and SE are instead shown as North-South facing e.g. Blocks 20, 22, 24, 26 & 28. While blocks 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 46 have stacks that should face pure North-South (0 or 180 degrees). Blocks 38 and 40 should face East-West (90-270 degrees).

The Foresque Residences condo is a well coming change after having seen so many crammed condos like: Riverparc Residences, Blossom Residences & Eight Courtyards; this year.

This house has a huge water position i.e. a large pond that occupies a large area of the frontage of a South facing house. For a South facing house, and depending on Flying Stars; it is not ideal to place too large a water feature at the frontage. If so, either reduce the size of the water feature i.e. in this case pond or add lights "fire" to further balance the water position.
