"Moving-metal" is particulary useful since you mentioned that in addition to these two bad stars, there is a further #3 = lawsuits, quarrels star. Dear Anon, Feng Shui is about earth luck. And usually an investigation using Flying Star can help detect any issues with regards to health in one's home. The tell tale signs of health issues are especially: 1. bad star numbers e.g. #5 with /or #2 with or #9 combined or in isolation 2. These stars fall either in the bedroom or frontage of the home. For example, for wealth wise, a Period 8, SW1 has good $$ prospect. But such a home potentially has to "take-care" of health issues/problems. Dear Trish, Frankly, without a sketch, it is quite difficult to figure out your exact room layout plan. Firstly, what are you trying to achieve. From your second last paragraph, you mentioned that pointing west is good for you. However, does it look not only feasible but "comfortable" for you. In other positions are you trying to avoid aiming your foot towards the bathroom door? Generally, if there are no other better placements, this is quite acceptable. Dear Paula, In my opinion, from a Feng Shui point of view the use of platform bed has more to do with "Commonsense Approach to Feng Shui". In fact, it is literally - Commonsense under Feng Shui:- 1. Is sleeping on a platform, bad under Feng Shui? In many parts of the world, many people do sleep either on the floor or on a platform. In particular, the Japanese, for example sleep on the floor which is quite similar to sleeping on a "platform" or flat-bed. Thus, generally there are no issues here since nearly a very high percentage of the Japanese population sleep on a flat-bed. Besides this "rich" country many less well to do countries also have citizens sleeping on flat-bed. 2. I was told that we must sleep on a raised bed so that qi can circulate under our bed? Is this true? This has more to do with "commonsense" then Feng Shui. One good thing about a raised bed or a bed with e.g. 4 legs is that we can easily clean below the bed. Nowadays with lots of nasty virus or issues with them; it would be nice if we have the opportunity to be able to clean below ourbed.This will avoid or eliminate dust mites and other forms of virus. Imagine having a platform bed. Most platforms are fixed and cannot easily be removed for cleaning. And if there are small gaps in the wood or say we shed our skin etc.. and these fall below into the bottom of the platform, we may not be able to clean them. Thus there may be a host of mites e.g. dust mites and other insects, crawing all over below the untouchable (below our bed). Thus, as one can see, there can be an issue with having a platform in the long term. Even more so, if we carpet the platform. It is so much harder to maintain the carpeting or ensuring again no dust mites etc... crawling all over the platform. Worse if we have young children. They can or may urinate orthey could seep thru the bed into the bottom of the platform which is out of reach. Childrenmay also eat sweets, spill drinks etc.. Dear Anon, 1. If possible, you can follow the sample format, attached. For a signage, it is best to go for length i.e. odd number and for the width even numbers. As odd number represent yang while even number represents yin. Thus such a signage is considered, balanced i.e. yin and yang in harmony. For example if you use cm, then length can be89cm while width can be 42 cm. Alternatively if you use inches then lenght can be59 inches while width can be 28 inches etc.. If one stands in-side the home looking outwards, is there any lamp post, or a tree trunk facing the mainentrance or windows of the home. 2. Dear Mr Yong, To be honest, once you have already bought the home, it is best to concentrate to make it Feng Shui friendly. Overall, inmany instances of a`T` junction senario, often, cars should be seen as moving towards the home. And when it does, vulnerable parts of the home e.g. the main door or windows are at the "receiving" end of this sha qi. If say your plot of land is seen as at a `T` junction; but if the home that was built on this plot of land is away from this `T' junction in particular the main door e.g. is on the side of the home or windows not directly facing the `T' junction, then the developer/designer/owner had made a good job of building the home negating this `T' junction. It's the blackhole effect. What happens is that if we purchase such products, our pocket(s) will have a huge deep dark hole. And mostly, the seller benefits from this sale! For many Chinese, let's imagine or go back to our grand-parent's time or for many, our parents home. There are no such things prior to 1970's as Feng Shui crystals nor is it common place to find three-legged toads. In the past, it is widely common to find more popular stones such as jade and diamonds. But, things like blue gems is not particularly popular with the Chinese. Dear Anon, Frankly, you are not alone. There are thousands and in-fact millions of people who bought homes prior-to or never even heard of Feng Shui. Or had bought their dream-home prior to consulting which is their suitable directions etc... In order to apply Feng Shui, it is best to go more on a holistic approach. As there are many (many variables) not just "one-wrong" point and oops! We are done for! For example, in many instances, even if a home does not suit us but some homes may have "superior" external shapes and forms. In addition, under Flying Star Feng Shui for the current period "Period 8" - in general; NE homes are suppose to or can benefit from good Feng Shui qi.
