Frankly, this is simply commonsense. As all of us know; fire rises upwards. Should a out-of-control fire arise; it rises upwards. Plus if one is sound a sleep (or sleeping like a pig); the end result may evenend up as a live human - roasted pig!

These are some considerations: 1. In my opinion Option 1 is the safest bet. 2. Option 3 depends very much on the width of the "clearance". As it is only a sketch; hard to determine what is the clearance between the main door and the unoccupied area. Usually, since this is the main entrance door; the minimium preferred clearance is 900 cm or ideally if it is 1,000cm or 1 metre clearance is best. If so, this option may be considered. With the consideration that the doors for the cabinet should not have highly reflective material especially the doors directly facing the main door. 3. Option 2 is hmmmm.... ..... 4. Anyway, for commonsense Feng Shui; best not to use doors with louvers as shown in the attachment. This is plain common or cowsense. Take alook. If one is standing close to the louvered doors and if the louvers is above eye level; one can literally see into the cabinet.. such things are red ,pink, purple shoes, slippers and yes... the smell... coming from the cabinet. 4.1. Thus, if one really needs to install louvers or (small vents drilled into cabinet doors) such louvered doors should only be allowed not higher than an adult's waist height and the rest of the upper doors; those flat surface type of doors.

These are some considerations: 1. It depends! 2. Often even under such a development, there could be some "gem" or a "ROSE amongst the thorns." 3. For a lay-person;if in doubt,or feel uncomfortable; then avoid buying such homes or apartment(s). 4. More individual investigative work is required for each individual unit.

Please see illustrations (attachments) Attachment 1 =condofacing1 If you stand somewhere X facing Y; and if this is the S3 then PERHAPS Option A is a better choice. Attachment 2 = condofacing2 If you say that the direction is S2; then definitely Option A is the right choice. But if you say that the direction is S3; even your option A may not be exactly correct given that S3 is titled.. roughly see attachment: condofacing2 Usually, majority of those who plot Flying Star charts on a professional level for clients would often use the pie chart method. For book authors; they may use the grid and/or pie.

Most likely since you mentioned that your main door will be closed most of the time; then for purposes of calculating Flying Star(s); best to use the balcony facing direction, instead. (Where it is suppose to have the most yang qi (be it light and wind coming into the unit vs the main door)

1. Frankly, one has to adopt a holistic approach. 2. As mentioned in many previous messages; one has to consider:- 2.1. Heaven Luck 33.3 percent 2.2. Earth Luck 33.3 percent 2.3. Human or Man Luck 33.3 percent Total luck = 99.99999 = 100 percent 3. No need for me to explain all these; one can find out more from previous messages. 4. Furthermore, what one means by having too much water elements? 4.1. Even if one considers the Ba zi; there are two ways of looking at it:- 4.1.1. One's element and strength. For example a STRONG water person. 4.1.2. Or please see attachment. In a detailed ba zi chart; one can find that during different stages of life the element and strength also changes. Thus, it is too general to say that one is having too much water? But when? 10 years old? 50 years old? 4.1.3 Therefore, for any layperson; it is difficult to implement any balance. 5. Unless one has available a detailed ba zi chart; then you may have to look at other luck areas also: Earth (Feng Shui) and Human (Man luck) factors. 6. As mentioned, in previous forum messages; each of these three luck is only 33.3 percent of the total luck x 3 = 99.999 or 100 percent.

There are few considerations:- 1. Commonsense Feng Shui or literally speaking simply common-cowsense. 2. Sometimes the toilet bowl or wc shares the same wall as the wall of a bedroom. Here, a toilet does have sewerage pipes. It is due to this that it is not good to sleep NEXT to a sewerage pipe. E.g. sewer pipe embedded into the wall and one place one's face next to the opposite site of the wall. 3. Some don't like the bed too close to the toilet bowl. As if the lid is closed position; and if there are gaps in the seat; the micro-droplets will fly further and may even deposit onto the bed, bed-sheet etc... 4. The above are based more on cowsense right? 5. If none of these can occur in your baby girl's bedroom; then it is not an issue.

1. You can always check Free auspicious dates for the NEXT 30 days; here:- http://dates.geomancy.net/ or dates.geomancy.net 2. Do take note that for the Chinese; it is considered inauspicious to move-in (even for a new office) DURING the Chinese (lunar)7th month even if any of the dates are auspicious and falls in the Chinese (lunar) 7th month. 3. The dates are clearly stated as "As it is".

This altar is located in a coffee shop in an industrial zone (Tampines Industrial Park off Safra Tampines). What makes this altar "unique" is a beautiful back-wall laminated mural that reflects light off it. It also has a typical roof following many traditional altars. Nowadays, such altars are less common in Singapore homes especially those that have a roof above the deity's head.
-
This is a typical Earth god altar. Where the altar is placed at ground level. Following Cantonese tradition; did you notice that right in frame; there are 5 cups each x 2? Cantonese dialect group belief that there are "5 spirits" i.e. every cardinal point plus centerpoint has a guardian or god each: North god, South god, East god, West god and God of the Centre. Alternatively, some place five types of fruits and 5 each to pacify the "5 spirits".

If one has the time, should read thru this link:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-four.htm The additional information in the above link was added to clarify similar confusions as yours. However, these were very old resources in the 1999 era. Where there were lots of postings of such nature during that time...

1. In my opinion, there were many postings on this subject as far back as 1999. 2. There are a few considerations: 2.1. Looking at literally with a compass (sector). 2.2. General statements 2.1.In general; the fundamental description is: North = black tortise South = Phoenix or bird; East = Green colour = Green Dragon and West = White = White Tiger. 2.1.1 Thus the above is the general idea behind what you mentioned. 2.2. General statements: Some of these general statements use some of the information above: e.g. GREEN Dragon and or White Tiger and mix it with general statements like LEFT = GREEN dragon and RIGHT = White tiger. 2.2.1. Actually this LEFT thing and RIGHT thing is again general statements. Where in general if one is facing SOUTH; to the LEFT is of course the EAST! and to the RIGHT = WEST! That is all.

Bukit Panjang is Malay for "a long spread of hills". It is also the name of part of a range of low hills that run from Mandai, in the north of Singapore to Bukit Timah in the south. Forty years ago, the area was occupied by farms, granite quarries and fatories that produced household goods. There was a shoe factory, a factory for canning food and a dairy farm owned by supermarket chain Cold Storage, after which Dairy Farm Road was named. Bukit Panjang Village was found at a roundabout that linked Woodlands, Bukit Timah and Choa Chu Kang roads. In the 1980s and 1990s, the Government cleared the area around Bukit Panjang Village and built Housing Board flats. The names of roads and dirt tracks around the village, such as Jelebu, Segar, Jelapang, Petir, Senja, Pending and Fajar, were revived when Bukit Panjang New Town was built. In 1999, they were also used to name the stations in the LRT system (attachment) that connects with Choa Chu Kang MRT station. In 2015, look out for the Bukit Panjang MRT station, which will be the start of the new Downtown Line. It will be located between Ten Mile Junction and the Bukit Panjang LRT stations.

These are some of the considerations: 1. In general; it is best not to use BLUE colour even if it is light blue in a kitchen. This is on the extra-safe-side. While BLACK or grey can be considered as generally - neutral - or OK. 2. Besides the texture or colour of the kitchen laminates; the next largest metal element in a kitchen is actually a refrigerator. As when it is in a closed position; it's external "mass" is one big metal element. Thus frige in white or silver or grey are often a safe-bet.

At the moment, I have lots of Can or cannot buy to handle and have even turned away a few cases. Therefore, the caricature below... follows..

You can always use this free calculator: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm As it is not so simplisitic to say you have 3 earth element etc... even each earth element does have a percentage range of 0 to 100 percent. And the above free report will provide you the answer.

Further to what I had mentioned; for the benefit of users who have read this posting:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Commonsense_Approach#Can_I_install_a_bunk_bed_for_my_children.27s_bedroom.3F The above link simply suggests that a regular type of bunk bed is a non-issue for concerned parents.
-
1. Frankly, you have a point, here. 2. This type of design is not like the regular kind of double-decker bed we normally associate with. 3. It does remind me of some of the condo developments where part of the "head" area has a lowered concrete portion. 4. From a sha qi perspective: usually the "test" is the load-bearing kind of beam. Where the beam carries a load. And this beam is a mixture of both steel rods and cement. 5. This bottom bed (if the bed-head) is where it is; is technically kinda of like those under Para 3 type but of a "softer" material i.e. plywood material. In my opinion; less of a concern. 6. But, seriously, it is anyone's guess; as in the past like in the 1960's onwards; till now; don't often see such a bed-head. 7. If one wants to place it safe; then perhaps; shift the bed-head to the uncovered area and child's legs within the "beam-of-sorts". 8. Frankly and honestly.. it's also something new to me - and I really have no experience what-so ever in this area. Thanks for sharing this layout. If you have not pointed it; I would not notice it, also 9. If in doubt; since this photo shows it is in a show-room; then best not to consider such a bed-frame.

These are some considerations: 1. In your case, it is better to go by personal feel or feelings. (At worse, this is known as "trial-and-error" or in today's Feng Shui); it should be given the dubious distinction of the term "trial-BY-error" method. Why? 1.1 Traditional Feng Shui not only looks at your ba zi; but in addition to this things like Flying Stars and the "stars" in your bedroom - good or bad. 1.2 Look at it this way: 1.2.1 In order to obtain your personal Ba zi information e.g. weak water person; one's date (& even time of birth) is needed. 1.2.2 This is the same for your home. Your home has it's own birth-date and BIRTH-CHART. 2. Therefore, without the later 1.2.2; than please refer to Para 1, above: OOPS! Trial-by-error type of Fung Sway...

Further to what I had mentioned: Given that many of us have a "freedom" of choice:- 1. Not one but many different houses 2. If possible; try to avoid (if possible) avoid choices that looks like a U or L.
-
1. For Can or Cannot buy; often, someone will ask me "Is this house favourable (to me?)? 2. In my opinion; such a question is like trying to throw stones and hope that it hits something. 3. Realistically; in order to make a judgement; often the proper question(s) are:- 3.1. How is this house compared to my existing home? and/OR 3.2. How is this house compared to house A, B and C. 3.3. Thus, how to compare a MONO (single) home with (what)? 4. Thanks for the sketch. VERY ROUGHLY, it seems that it should either be a U-shape house. Of course, without say photos; Can't really tell whether it is a proper U or L shape. 4.1 As some walkways have openings while others don't have. If it has openings, then air could flow thru.. 4.2 Thus, maybe in this case, it could be a L shaped home. Whatever it is, U or L shaped homes ranked LOW under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui (if we set aside the Flying Star - another set of considerations).
-
In my opinion, the base star is less of an importance. Thus both the mountain and water star is often looked at more closely;
