Hi Master Lee Appreciate if you can advise on the following: The DB cabinet is placed in a way that cuts into the walk way from the main entrance as seen in the picture below and this DB cabinet cannot be moved. Is there any concern with this? Will it help if a curved cabinet is placed next to the DB cabinet to lessen the appearance of a sharp edge? Thank you!

1. It is best to check whether the NW sector of your interior apartment is not a "missing corner". If so, and if you have a garden, it is good to either use landscaping to form an outline of the "missing corner" or install a light at the corner of the NW to "extend" the missing corner. 2. Generally, if this is the exterior of the home (apartment), then often, planting greenery is acceptable. I see that you are not applying Flying Star Feng Shui. But rather, trying to apply "fixed template" or looking at at sector and looking at what colours are best for it. 3. In my opinion, always try to keep the garden as "natural" as possible. Thus, plants are acceptable. If Flying …

Good morning! I am new to this forum and thank you in advance for your help) I was going through the past postings and came across the below and have further questions please. Are you saying that IF you have poison arrows pointed at your house such as electrical poles, sharp corners from other homes, church steeples, streets that end up across the street in front of your home and so on....that you should put up a bagua concave mirror foreach situation? For example....I have several electrical and/or telephone poles spaced out about 8 feet apart across the street. One of them has a transformer box thingie at the top with a big wire or cord that hangs over the street an…

From a Feng Shui perspective; there are quite alot of considerations. But, some means that you must have knowledge of things like: the breadwinner: East or West group? etc... Most of the time, in general; the first consideration is how one feels when first entering the home and/or if one really likes the home; try to bring along the whole family and see how they feel about the home. You wrote: Must the main door be facing North, entrance to the unit must be bright, the distance of opposite block cannot be too near, etc? As I mentioned, above, you may have to do some homework to find out whether you are an East group person : favourable North, South, East or SE. While a We…

Dear LB, Here are the key points to consider: 1. The burial site should not be located in an area associated with massacre or other horrific events, such as a battlefield. 2. I am aware of numerous successful businesses that are situated near burial sites, despite the warnings that it is inauspicious to be in proximity to such locations. For instance, Tangs Hotel (now renamed) at the intersection of Scotts and Orchard Road in Singapore was once facing a burial site. It was believed that the land was unfavorable, yet this intersection has now become a highly sought-after tourist destination. 3. In land-scarce Singapore, many government housing estates h…

Dear Anon, Quote: I wish totransform this area to a garden with proper lanscaping, will this affect my house's feng shui negatively? Most houses typically have a solid tile roof. Thus, there isn't much true resources in the past about such a concept since there isn't such a situation in the past. So this is a more of a modern time situation. However, my view of rooftop garden is actually good. Especially, because plants tend to act as shade for the roof. Thus, cools down the house. So garden for rooftop is fine. However, water feature on top of the roof will need to be avoided, as you do not want to have water over your head. This is like drowning your wealth. What yo…

Dear Yumeko, 1. Usually, it is advisable not to do anything prior to the `symbolic move'. 2. However, the customs differ greatly. And some may:- 2.1 Sprinkle rice and/or salt. 2.2 Some bring in a pair of mandarin oranges (where the oranges represent gold). Frankly, majority simply go in and open the door when one get's the key. As mentioned, if one wants to do a `ritual' or first time opening of the door, one can do nothing or any of the above or more. In my opinion besides rice and/or salt; there are too many variations e.g. placement of Red Packets (ang pow); purchase of `Huat Quay' Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Shawn, The first priority under the Eight House Theory is to try to sleep close to an auspicious intangible force if you can. For example if the intangible force in the sector of the bed for the Husband is his Prosperity sector and for the wife, her Irritation sector, in such a situation, the Husband sleeps closer to the intangible force location. He therefore, sleeps closer to this intangible line. While the wife sleeps further away i.e. using him as a `shield'. Only after the considering the above and if you have the luxury, sleep with the head facing a good direction (if you can). If this cannot be done, than priority should be given to the above. Sleeping with t…

Thank you so much for your answer, so it seems that it would not be so harmless if I do make the fountain here, but when I am standing inside looking out (east), this fountain would actually be to my left hand side in the NE corner, what would be the implications now. Thanks again , Maria

Based on the Chinese Holy Trinity of Luck: 1. Heaven 2. Earth 3. Man or Human Luck So long as it makes you feel good or comfortable with it, why not? Since feeling good contributes to "improving one's luck". Particularly = Man or Human Luck factor.

Dear Anon, Although may not need to apply Flying Star Feng Shui to the home, we can apply one of te Flying Star concept of the " water star ". For those who are not familiar with " water star ", if we leave out the word star in this case, you can visualise that whenever there is water, usually the landscape is flat. This is the same concept under the " water star " Theory where the location should be `flat'. Contrast this with the " mountain star ". Where, a mountain is equvalent of a wall. The clue here is not to clutter the living room with tall objects. Objects in the radius of the living room should preferably be flat. For example as a guide it should not be taller t…

Dear Anon, Each has its advantages and disadvantages. 1. Usually, the 8 pie is easiest to do if one has a protractor or already has a predrawn transparency template done. It's so simple thus to determine the centrepoint and then immediately, sketch/draw the 8 pie on the copy of the layout plan. The 8 pie is also easy especially if the house is odd shpaed, with missing corners or you want to do an analysis which extends outwards of the house. It is also good for circular houses. Many Traditional Feng Shui practitioners like to use this because the numbers, Water, Mountain and Base stars, in my opinion can be neatly written and clearly understood. 2. The 9 equal parts, or …

Hi Anon, I believe it that is refering to the Flying Star concept. There is a description which is quite similiar, Up mountain and Down Mountain. So 7 Up could refer to Number 7 Star in the Up mountain or 7 Star in the Down mountain configuration. Up mountain and Down mountain simply refers to where the mountain is located ether at the front or back of the house depending on the frontage. Hope that helps. Hi, Thanks for the information about the center of the house. I purchased the Fly Star report and ran it using the front door and the center of the house (as shown in the diagram). However, I just read on one of the posting that if you use the garage door as the primary entrance then the garage door should be the door should be used for the report. 1) Since we used the garage as our primary door, should I have run the report using the garage door? 2) We enter the garage through a main (large) garage door and then enter the house through a door at the front right side of the garage (see diagram). When running the report, Should I use the main garage door (large) or th…

Dear Anon, 1. Yes, the 2nd floor may affect the Feng Shui (below - ground floor) especially if the "two units" are not "identical in layout". For example, if a home is converted into a "duplex" or the layout of the above unit is not identical to the ground floor. 2. For example, we often find homes like a bungalow where things like the 2nd storey toilet may be just above our ground unit main entrance or sometimes it could be just above one's dining area. And for some Chinese who had placed an altar at the ground level; may also be affected if their altar is just directly below a toilet. 3. Otherwise, often, if both ground unit, 2nd stor…

Dear Asucena, The `cure' depends on the element of the beam. If the beam is a wooden beam, it is best to tie 6 Chinese copper coins together and hang it on the beam. Here 6 Chinese copper (metal) coins represent `Big metal'. This is where metal destroys / neutralises wood (the wooden beam). If the beam is made of concrete, you can hang two wooden bambo flutes as follows: ------------- / \ flute flute You will notice that the flute forms the profile of the top of the Ba Gua or Trigram. In my opinion; if one is planning to D.I.Y. Feng Shui; often no two situations or home / apartment are similar. This involves: Understanding resources; prepare various reports and analyse them. In fact, no site can ever spoon-feed any-one again in a D.I.Y. environment.

Dear Elena, Yes, there is a recorded study known as something like "bubology" (sorry my spelling is wrong). This is a study in Germany where it was found that there is high correlation of cancer with beds above a sewerage pipe-line. Feng Shui is much about this invisible "qi" or water course such as a sewerage pipe which could emit harmful "vapours". It looks like it is difficult to relocate your bed. But are you sure that the sewerage pipe runs directly... or anyother better placement of the bed. Warmest Regards, Cecil
