Dear Marian, Please see below, This is because it is so easy to quote raw data in only just a few lines and wait for a full assessment. Imagine, if every forum member does this, I am not sure how I am going to manage it. There are already specific tools available. Or make use of any competent FS practitioners anywhere. So, I really appreciate if users do not simple quote such information. Especially in this forum since it is specific only to that individual. As another person's home will certainly not share the same stars or Gua (Kua) number. It is best to use a three-step approach to form the basis of solid grounding in Feng Shui: 1. Understand the purpose of each c…

These are the key ingredients:- 1. Understanding the significance of "the mouth" of the home; 2. Flying star is about "the most yang" Qi. 3. an experienced Geomancer often tries to observe a owner's habit 3.1 For example; for an apartment does the owner frequently leave the main door open or slam shut most of the time etc.... 4. Other possible measures include drawing up a few charts and if this is existing home, compare it with the past history of the home. There are more.... Go do a search ....

Frankly, Feng Shui is a holistic approach. And without going thru any Triage or trouble-shooting; it is not fair to pin-point the sink as the culprit (be it major or minor). As I had mentioned, previously:- 1. Shapes and Forms: not just the four walls of your home; the exterior does play an important and vital role in the Feng Shui of a home. 2. Often, a home has around more than 3 or 4 major leaks to cause a drain. 3. Kindergarten Feng Shui; In the past, such practices prevail. Where North = career etc... But this is 2011. Such practises should not be recurring. Thus unless a proper Triage or investigations is done; no one really knows the main cuase of your "leak"

Dear Anon, Usually if one is constantly sick or having misfortunes, it is best to use the Flying Star in relation with the person's Ba Zhi to analyse the situation. The likelyhood of such a problem could be due to: 1. If, it is a landed property, the cause could be undergound water running under the house or other factors under the Shapes and Form School. (Reference on Dangers of Underground water: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/under.htm ) 2. Mostly likely Flying Star 2 and/or 5 is present e.g. in the bedroom or the main entrance door or in other locations one frequently is at. 3. Other inauspicious factors relating to the Four Symbolic Animals, where water positions are e.g…

Dear Anon, Frankly, I believe that this is a relatively `difficult' question to answer: 1. There are relatively few experts (if any) on this subject. Many of the work are in books or literature. 2. Basically, the face can be classified under the Five elements. For example, a sharp face e.g sharp chin, the person can be considered having a `fire' face. A more squarish face represents e.g. the earth element etc... 3. Nowadays plastic surgery can alter the profile or shape of the face. One's face can change from a `fire' element to a more rounded or `metal' element face. 4. This area of `study' is less popular than Feng Shui and like palmistry, is not as popular as Feng Shui…

1. Frankly, there are more in Feng Shui than what you had mentioned. 2. The info and the enhancements that you want to make in my opinion, is like trying to apply "Kindergarten Feng Shui". 3. For those who want to DIY and use many of the "logic" found below, should seriously scrap applying this type of kindergarten Feng Shui. Here, it is better to go with your feelings than to "considering painting the front door black to help enhance my career/wealth ". 4. Proper Feng Shui has no precedence with ideas and hopes, below. 5. For those who really only want to DIY, have to really find means to enlarge your Feng Shui knowlege. Frankly, this cannot do. Dear Anon, I agree that some FS practioners may use wind chimes to attract wealth. However, the Buddhist and Toaist call the dead using bells. 1. It is best to avoid using metal wind chimes at West, North-West and North-East. West and North-West are of the Metal Element and Yin locations. North-East is traditionally the Devil's Gate and one may inadvertently attract imps or playful spirits as they may be attracted to the sound of the wind chime. 2. The above is the traditional reasoning or advice to take note. 3. Most of the time, due to human nature, we do tend to `over-eat' or go to extremes to purchase not one but many wind chimes. Normally, using our sixth sense, it i…

Hi, Here are some of the information on the Chinese Unicorn: 1. It is a mythological animal e.g. like the Dragon. 2. It is considered as a White Unicorn and under Feng Shui, it is interchangeable with the White Tiger and the White Bear. 3. The unicorn is considered a solidatory animal and is a peaceful animal. 4. The significance of the Unicorn is that it represents goodness, long life, filial piety and good civil administration. The unicorn is also revered in ancient Persia and Egypt and under Christianity. 5. Whenever a Unicorn appears it means that a sage is born. For example, the sage Emperor Fu Xi who was unanimously said to be the first to discover the River Map i.…

Thank you for your quick response, and sorry that I confuse you. My house has mountain star #8 at the facing direction (instead of sitting direction), and water star #8 at the sitting direction (instead of facing direction). According to flying star, this house is "reverse". BR #5 is bedroom number 5 in the N (or NW?) sector of the house, same with BR number 2 in the E (or SE?) sector of the house, I don't know how to determine which sector these BRs belong to. Again, thank you for your help.

Dear Anon, 1. One view point is based on the symbolism of the two symbols: Circle represents the Metal element Triangle represents the Fire element. Under the destructive cycle: Fire destroys Metal. One interpretation of wealth creation is where if Fire is strong, it can destroy Metal to create wealth. 2. However, since the metal is surrounded by Fire, another point of view is that Fire is used to control metal element. Under Para 1, it is `wealth' creation. While under Para 2, it is used as a controlling element. For example, when we use 6 coins to represent Big Metal, it is good to use Red string to control the metal element. (Where Red represents the Fire element). The…

Dear Kaushal, 1. Salt is commonly used more in western countries or `western' practitioners (not necessary FS practitioners). 2. You can certainly try using salt although it is not `proven' or used widely in Traditional Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Under one aspect of house suitability using Ba Zi Feng Shui; if the house is considered a " Wood house " by virtue that the main entrance is facing say East or South East. And one member (especially the breadwinner) is a Strong Earth person; in this situation: 2. Under the Five Elements Concept: 2.1 A `WOOD' HOUSE vs `STRONG' EARTH PERSON Good Match. The wood house is considered favourable as it helps to "control" or help (aid) a Strong Earth person. 2.2 A `WOOD' HOUSE vs `WEAK' EARTH PERSON Inauspicious. As wood will further weaken a Weak Earth Person. 3. The above is one of the many aspects we look at the relationship between Ba Zi (Pillars of Destiny usin…

1. Feng Shui cannot be done by remote-control. For example, if one does not stay in that home; one's earth luck does not come from that home. 2. Like any other investment decisions; if we ourselves have some concerns in a property, do assume that others would so the same; later if one intends to sell it off. 3. For example; Block and unit numbers of apartments does not come under Feng Shui. But for majority of the Chinese; we may be concerned of numbers especially if a unit has #04-44 etc... 4. Many of us are already aware of much of the factors that may be considered as "bad" or poor Feng Shui like: a unit directly facing a road and other neighbouring block's sharp or…

Hi, Usually, the most effective method is to use a side partition any where between the main entrance door and the study room. Alternatively, you should close one of the doors when opening the other. Some other `olden' methods include using bead curtains but this is I believe quite `outdated' in modern times. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Yes, indeed I do agree fully with you that"the mouth of the apartment is most likely to be from the balcony / living room side". Especially since you mentioned that the windows along the corridor is always closed - this is a vital and important clue! Here, I believe, you got the fundamentals right with regards to the "mouth" of the house!

1. In my opinion, life is so short, and it is strongly recommended that all of us, spent a fruitful life than to worry unnecessarily. The more we worry unnecessarily, the more... our "Human / man " luck factors detoriate. 2. Furthermore, we do not want to end up with : the self-fullfilling prophecy or from auto-suggestion. 3. In general, for most people, (normal people) who have relatively no problems in their lives... should use this "Human or man luck" factor to one's advantage! Thus, will make one-self gloomy or affect family members with one's "prediction" or sensitivity of gloom!

Based purely on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, it is highly unusual " frontage". For example, most homes has an inverted "V" shape. And with the profile forms an "UP" arrow sign. First impressions count. The interior is another matter all together.

Dear Anon, Anon wrote: I was planning on getting a small dragon around my left wrist, around 1' in width. Is this good feng shui, bad, or neither? And is there a particular position (if possible) the dragon should be in order for it to be good feng shui? I mean so far tatoo has always been associated with bad things. So really, even though there isn't anything about feng shui and tattoo. It would seem more like it a tattoo will more likely bring about bad influence rather than good influence. So not likely to see what good luck it will bring. Anon wrote: And is there a particular position (if possible) the dragon…
