Dear Janice, Overall, there should not be any worry here: 1. Under the Feng Shui concept - If you cannot see it, it is not a "threat". Here, since the items are `kept' in the built in drawers, there is no cause to worry unless you start to place `dangerous' or inflammable items eg. inflammable liquids etc... 2. Some Feng Shui practioners I understand say that one must sleep on a bed with e.g. 4 legs to let Qi circulate under the bed. Here, there is really no cause for concern because: a. Many Japanese have been sleeping on floor mats for centuries. b. Many "boxed" beds with springs equally do are not "hollow" below except for four rollers. These beds for example are foun…

1. If you are referring to a fixed template that is suppose to be super-imposed onto a layout plan; where e.g. North = career, SW = romance etc... then this is a modern invention. 2. This modern invention originated in Taiwan around the 1980's. 3. Traditional Feng Shui does not use such a model. 4. Best to expand your studies or research elsewhere.

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Recently I just had my new house key & now started renovation. I am just wondering ifit issuitable toplacean air-con abovethe bedroom's door? Is that a bad location? Thanks for your help! Generally for air-conditioner placement. You should avoid if possible to have the air-con located above the toilet door or directly above your bed. These are two not so good placements. The other aspect is to ensure that air-con does not blow directly into your face when you sleep. This may cause you to wake up the next day and catch cold. If you do have such a placement, then adjust the air con flap to blow down, so that it does not blow at an angle tow…

Dear GY, Yes, it is nice-to-have (not must-have) a date to start work (repainting). And if the gate is changed nearly the same time, then, no need to choose another good day.

Hello Cecil: I didn't tell her I'm a FS practitioner and didn't go after any other info. It turned me off the way she bragged about being wealthy. Meanwhile, at the gathering, her husband's eye is wandering over every single woman. How wealthy can she really be if her husband behaves like that? Wealthy is when your husband only has eyes for you. LOL Maybe the practitioner should focus on helping them stay together. Just thought the center staircase story was interesting. Thank you.

Dear Anon, In my opinion, there is no significance other than the floor board is quite damp. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: What does wild mushroom that grows unexpectedly in one room of the house signifies?

Dear Anon, All these objects have more to do with commercialisation, than Feng Shui. One should take these items as a decorative item. For example, if one is too free, can make an experiment: 1. Mon, Tue, Wed = let it face the main entrance 2. Thurs = face the living room 3. Friday = face NE 4. Saturday = face SE 5. SUNDAY? Hmm... " How about throwing it away?" Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. The morale of the story? " Para 5 - It is a good idea!"

1. Kua numbers are often not used to analyse a sector (good or bad). 2. If possible, the best method is to apply Compass School - Flying star method in your home. 3. For example, if say the fireplace location has a #3 (Quarrels, conflicts etc). then inadvertently, "fire" as in the "fire-place fire" can help to neutralise this bad star(s). You see, some homes where there is a #3 at certain sector, some FS practitioners may recommend a fire element at that specific sector. This fire element can be in the form of a '24 hours' light or somethign red within that sector. 4. Therefore, the key success is not to apply general statements like: north = career etc.. but to do it …

Hi, Really sorry, but currently there is no ancient written documentation on cars. I think this is quite obvious as cars were not invented then. The only aspect is on whether it is auspicious to travel towards a specific location. If you are moving around your city or community, then this most likely cannot apply. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Even in western numerology 8 is considered a money number, although perhaps too many 8's might indicate greed and domination. 5 is also considered an opportunity number in western numerology. Just thought you might be interested J.D. Listmanager wrote:

Quote: Lee, it has been several months now, Thanks Lee for your response. I think I located a leak- the hood above my stove top burners had a fan that gave the option of sucking cooking heat up and out of my kitchen (an exhaust). Now I do not use it (I am cautious while cooking not to have to use it). I still have my small metal windchime above my burners and small mirrors reflected the burners. My finances are going smoothly now. Again, thanks for your advice on looking for a leak. HPS Enoch

Dear Anon, It depends on the distance between your main entrance vs your neighbour's (partial) wall. Often, 3 metres distance away is acceptable. Usually, it is best not to be too close because sometimes, the corner of the wall is like a poison arrow aimed towards your main entrance door. And secondly, it is often not too good because qi (air) flow is not smooth. What could be worse are the new generation Punggol flats. Some of these are corner units and the corridor wall is aimed directly into the homes. Depending on the situation, sometimes, potted plants can soften this effect. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Aloysius, Aloysius Chia wrote: May I know if Alamac show Day 1 is good for all events (moving house, opening door, etc) but personal auspicious day show very inauspicious, which one should I follow. In general, the alamac is simply a forecast of good and bad days irregardless of who is using it for. ie it means it is a day that is generally good for everyone on this year to make use of. You still need to check whether your horoscope sign is compatible etc before one actually use it. Otherwise, it will still harm you (if the day clashes with you). The personal auspicious date is one that considers your personal ba zi. This means it considers whether your chart has an…

1. Please note that the Eight House concept is very rigid i.e. Either you spent time at such and such a location or you don't. Or you try to avoid. It is like ebony and ivory - black and white - hot and cold. 2. This concept offers no cures for the above. 3. Basically, some clever people or those who have the money, actively search out good homes where the bedroom sectors all "fall into" place. For example, when constructing a new home, a wealth person, would engage a geomancer to make things right - the first time. 4. Thus many of us who does not have the luxury of having such expert advice can only apply Eight House Feng Shui based on "Nice-to" have situations. 5. …

Hi Cecil Happen to surf yr web and read it with interests. Bought EC Bishan Loft in Yr 2001 and recently TOP in mid Oct. I am a North West Man and my main door is facing North East which falls in the 4 good directions. Except that my master bedroom and two other bedrooms are getting the afternoon sun. My block is 33 and Unit is #11-07, according to your Number theory #11-07 does not seem to be very auspicious. Secondly, since my unit is #11-07, does that mean I have to move in period 7. Please advice. Thanks you.

Dear Ashwini, 1. Traditionally, for the Chinese, a better option with a staircase facing the main door is the placement of a convex bagua mirror. 2. Often the semi-circular mat is quite "mild" as compared a mild method to the above. 3. Another method is to add an optional grille gate as shown in the attached. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. Please note that in the past, a good site is always influenced by the dragon with gentle embrace of the tiger (landscape). 2. For a burial site; often it is best to be situated on the SOUTH-SIDE of a hill and the burial plot faces south. This the big picture is the "landscape" not just the plot and it's surroundings if that is what you are trying to figure out. The key here is the "big" picture of a land... 3. Thus, a good burial site is a hill where all the cemetry plot faces south.

My in laws have built a duplex for us and my husband's brother. We of course had no idea about the plan. It was my mother-in-law's design. I have read a book in feng shui but I just got more confused. Like how do i position the bagua with the main entrance. we have four gates, one for each garage and one each for people's gate entrance. we have shared lawn. it was my in law's decision not to put division in the garage lawn area so that my kids and my brother-in-law's kid would have a larger place to play on. The main door to the house is not aligned with the gate. it faces to the left on our side and mirror image for my brother-in-law's side. another concern is having 3 s…

Dear Eve, Apologise for the delay. There are many ways to look at this. I am looking at it based on harmony of the people and type of business selected. Actually, this combination of element is ok. 1. Wood Strengthen fire fire will also exhaust some wood Wood is weaken so unable to destroy Earth. 2. Fire gains strengths from Wood, which then provide Earth with more resources strengthen you (weak earth). Normally, when there is a destruction and a production, often the production sequence takes place first. Thus, the destruction process is weaken. Thus, that is the main reason why normally for a Strong Earth, wood is not the best solution, but instead Metal will be mo…

1. Yes, you can definitely ignore fake birthdates. 2. In fact, the "truth" or real birth date is critical! 3. For example, often we get clients that have a family member that told us that they can remember exactly their lunar birth-day. And this date is properly converted back to the western date. 4. In the past, many people were born in remote areas and often, there is a time lag between their actual day of birth and the day their family member say; went to a police post to make a police report. Thus their actual birthday is 7 July 1930. But their birth certificate shows 17 July 1930. But their parents had recorded somewhere or still remember that their "child" was …
