Just to share with forum readers. I recently shifted into my new condo apartment in July 1999. On shifting in, my career did not improve. In fact, took a nose-dive. I was by-passed for a promotion and my boss was snubbing me for circumstances beyond my control. I read a FS book that stated that having a fish tank in the north sector of the living room will improve one's career prospects. I didn't want to manage the hassles of a fish tank, so, I thought of using something more static. I decided to install tiles of fishes on my cabinet that was located in the north sector of the living room just to see if things improve. Surprise! Surprise! six months down the road, I have…

Dear Chee Kiong, Actually, the clue has to do with the "strength" of your element. For example, there is a difference between a "weak" fire person and a "strong" fire person. Under the Five elements concept; the idea is that if one is weak, one should increase one's element. While on the other hand if one is strong, one should try to decrease it. Here, in both instances, what we try to do is to become "balanced" i.e. a "balanced" fire element that is neither too weak or too strong. In your case, since you are a strong fire person, water is favourable to you as it will help to reduce the strong fire. The opposite is true for a weak fire person. Water will further help …

Five Elements and favourable colours

Dear Anon, For a strong metal person, the most favourable element is: Water (blue, black or gray). The next two favourable elements are Wood (green or brown) and Fire (red, pink or purple). For a strong wood person, the most favourable element is Fire (red, pink or purple) as fire element will help to exhaust wood. As fire element is increased, earth (yellow, cream or beige) can be used. Next best favourable element is metal, as metal inturn will help to exhaust earth. Actually, you can use the free comparison report at www.geomancy-online.com to determine these. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Lynn, Yes, the productive cycle is often the easiest to understand. But for the destructive cycle, sometimes the term may be misleading. Actually, this cycle can also be considered as a "Wealth" cycle. For example: A strong water person: His best elements are : Wood, Fire andEarth. If one looks carefully at the destructive cycle: Water destroys Fire. Here, it simply means that Water is used to dowse fire to produce wealth. Thus, for a strong water person, his two best elements are: 1. Wood (green or brown) - most harmonious colour 2. Fire (red, purple or pink) - his wealth colour. For a weak water person: this is opposite: his best elements are: Metal and …

Dear Anon, "Five Yellows" is a common term used under Flying Star numerology or Luo Shou grid. Where #5 is known as the misfortune number. It is related to the five elements to the Earth element. As Earth element is represented by Yellow colour, therefore, some Flying Star FS practitioners call it " FIVE (5) Yellow ". Thus e.g. Wu Kwei or 5 ghosts etc.. are other terms and are no where close to nor `associated' with this number. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Rose, Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Wednesday, April 28, 1999 5:44 PM Subject: FIVE YELLOWS vs Properity in 8-House An accurate Flying Star chart should ideally take into account a few key things: 1. The birth chart of the house. 2. Your personal kua number. 3. The exact direction of the main entrance (in 15-degree increments). So, in my view, if something is so general that it can be applied to everyone without considering a personalized Flying Star chart—at the very least the house’s birth chart and its precise facing direction—then I wou…

1. Your question reminds me of the program: Mind your language. Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mind_Your_Language 1.1 In fact, there is a rerun on fhis hilarious show now on one of the Starhub channel. 1.2 One should not, like the characters of the show equate it literally to fixing broken things. You wrote: "Do we need a master to evaluate the leaks or one can do it himself." 2. Of course, if everthing does not make sense to that person, then you may have to seek help. Otherwise, others have Do It Yourself (D.I.Y.)

1. The origin of the FIXED TEMPLATE BAGUA model originated from this infamous person: Lin Yun. 2. You can read this article extract from this website about the Confessions of Lin Yun:- [ URL link no longer exists ] Appended by Cecil Lee in 2020: Apologies, Please understand that this article was written in 2009 = many years ago. 3. The fixed template Feng Shui is considered by many Traditional Feng Shui practitioners as too static a model. 4. This fixed template bagua - does not take into consideration both: Shapes and Forms Feng Shui and Compass School Feng Shui. 5. Under the Compass School Feng Shui: there is the E…

Dear Stan, 1. It is difficult to give a general comment as to whether firstly: 1.1. A perceived threat is truly a threat 1.2 Even if it is a threat: often such a threat cannot be neutralised unless that specific threat e.g. is torn down. In all my messages, I often do not want to give false hope. It is akin to giving the party a sugar coated pill. It may perhaps sounds good but often in-effective. Especially for things like `penetrating' and other types of sha qi. 1.3 Frankly, it is therefore, very difficult here to pose a few lines of questions and a standard `stereo' type answer appears. 2. Overall, such specific case demands a full audit to access the situation both …

Dear Jennifer, Thanks for your description. Presently, what you are using is based on "intuitive" Feng Shui. Although it is one way of looking at Feng Shui, at the current moment, without much details about yourself, it is very difficult for me to provide advise on this information. This is because, in traditional FS, analysis must be done with the proper tools of analysis such as the Flying Star and Pillars of Destiny. You can still map out your house using a more general Eight House Theory. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Cecil, this brings up something I've been thinking about for some time. I would like to buy a fake goose...made of some sort of paper, that flies in the air with the wind, while attached to a long, tall pole like a fishing pole. I could put him very close to the front of the house where the pole wouldn't cut the door, but I'm wondering if the movement of the bird in the wind would raise the chi, slow it down, or activate anything else? I want to do this to make my house easier to find for my customers. Any thoughts? In my opinion, I believe that the flamingo is a cousin (or distant cousin) of the stock. For the Chinese, the stock signifies longevity.

Dear Guest, In Singapore, Tower equates Block. And in our public housing, Block numbers are excluded in the input. In our condominums, tower is often used but also not keyed-in. Thus, you should exclude Tower 6. Simply key in #18-7 (Please note G =7 and not 6. 6 refers to the letter F). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Robin, Frankly, the best advise is not to purchase a flat directly above a garage as this is inauspicious and there are no known *effective* cures i.e. in my opinion, as of now, I cannot recommend any cures for this. Hi, My fiance and I are looking around for a new flat. Recently, we found 1 flat that we both like. In some of the postings, I read that if a flat is near a temple, it may not be that good for the occupiers. The flat is behind the temple, but as it isabove 10thfloor,theflat will not be blocked by the temple. Furthermore, the rooms are affected by the afternoon sun. Have attached the layout of the flat for your reference. Pls advise.

Hi Shi Fu, May I consult your expert opinion on if unit circled in green is considered a T junc-tion unit, hence inauspicious? The roads are highlighted in purple. It’s a HDB high rise apartment. Thank you very much. [Edited by Cecil Lee - Location Hidden]
