Dear Anon, 1. I believe it is difficult to alter the height of the fish tank. This is because, most fish tanks plus the supporting legs are high. Thus the fish tank is usually at eye level. 2. The fish tank is thus more for the hobbyist rather than activating the `water star'. 3. The water star if one gets the meaning correctly means a flat surface. More like a water position such as a pond (not stagnant) or a swimming pool. 4. Another secret ingredient, is "sound". If one has stayed in a condominum or own a koi pond with a fountain, you can hear the movement of water sometimes even when you close the door. 5. For decorattive purposes, it is quite ugly to place the fish t…

1. The stove is traditionally positioned lower than the sink in most cases. 2. In Singapore, there are over 3,000 condominiums and landed properties where the stove and sink are often at the same height, so the sink being higher than the stove is not a major concern. 3. Following the example from the previous point, it is possible to have both the sink and stove at the same level. 4. Many condominiums opt for a stove cum sink table top that is around 34 inches in height. 5. It is recommended to use 34 inches as the standard table height, as it is the most practical choice. However, 33 inches can also be considered. 6. To be on the safe side, 34 i…

Dear Doctor Z, It is best to give a sketch else, with a top down perspective. I really do not like to second guess or run thru line by line description. Which I feel can lead to miscommunication. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. Applying Feng Shui is a holistic approach. 2. You may want to read thru the first page of the wiki:- http://wiki.geomancy.net 3. Even applying proper Feng Shui, there is a holistic approach to it. 4. Honestly giving a simple sketch or giving some details is very hard to find out really what's wrong. As often, a full Feng Shui audit needs informatinon like the Shapes and Forms of the site / building and unit and even compass school. 5. If one really wants to DIY, then you may have to understand - Key Success Factors in D.I.Y. Feng Shui and many more considerations that I had highlighed in the above wiki. Quote: Granted there are many causes but I'm suspecting …

Dear Maverick, maverick ong wrote: I'm a strong yin metal person but my house main door facing directionis East (ie. wood element). How to resolve the conflict ? Clashes in your house facing element isn't really as bad as having a house falls in your death/disaster sector based on your eight house. This is because if your house faces your death or disaster sector, you cannot really correct this problem. As the house either suits you or not suits you. You just cannot force a house to be suitable to you. Just like if you bought some clothings, if it fits you can wear it, if not you have to get a bigger or smaller size clothes. Based on your ba zi, your element can be enh…

Hi Master Lee, I am looking at staying in a house of this attached floor plan but I am concerned about missing corners. Because of the position and angle of the door, I cannot really figure out if west and southwest are the only missing corners. And if so, is it a serious problem that can be remedied? I am also concerned about the irregular shape of bedrooms. Will that cause any problems in terms of fengshui also? Thank you very much for your advice.

A popular saying goes: "If you can't take Mohammed to the mountain, take the mountain to Mohammed " Thus, If someonecan't understand what you want them to understand by seeing something you want them to see, bring what you want them to see to them.

Dear Nina, 1. In my opinion, using `fixed' Ba Gua template is not proper FS concepts. 2. However, I have taken the opportunity to marked out the `centre-point' of your house. If you are using Compass School Feng Shui methods such as: Eight House of Flying Star, you can take a compass reading (refer to house1a.bmp) and `aim' the compass towards the main entrance. The compass reading will determine the direction of your main entrance door. 3. For the second part of the `L' shaped layout, you can super-impose the map to this other half. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. Please download attached file.

Hello master, I'm from Eastern Europe, I am a feng shui enthusiast and amateur and I have studied the art of feng shui for 8-9 years now. I came to understand a lot of things about feng shui, but not all of them, and I can't say that I know everything regarded to it and still trying to understand some aspects, that's why I wanted to ask for help from someone that knows this better, and verify if what I am doing is correct. I’m practicing feng shui only for my family. I don’t do it and don’t talk about it with other people, because our culture is based on christianity and some look at feng shui with doubt, fear or skepticism. I was ra…

Dear Liz, 1. When using a dragon, allow it to have a straight path between the dragon and the poison arrow. For example, it should not be aimed at the poison arrow in the path of the work desk to the poison arrow. 2. The dragon was given to me as a gift and I merely use to, in my opinion, I found it effective against poison arrow. As it is a wooden dragon, it is hard to find it. Usually, most common are crystal or metal (gold plated) dragons. At the same time, I have curtains on both sides. The poison arrow, at my home is diagonal and not directly slices the home balcony. 3. In my opinion, you can use the small dragon pointed at the poison arrow. Where possible, if you h…

Hello Anonymous, If I may contribute something to this discussion... I was reminded of something I saw the other day. It was a large, thriving liquor business with a rather strange shape. The building was mainly triangular, with a very long, sharp-looking corner aiming across the street. I looked across the street and sure enough, the building directly in the path of this pointing triangle was boarded up and vacant. If that isn't a poison arrow, I don't know what is! Hope this discussion clarifies matters for you. Good luck! :o) --Joe

Dear Leon, What you refer to is actually sometimes known as the "Eight-One Combinations". The explanation is that 81 Combinations are fixed detailed description of different combinations as the numbers of the stars comes together. It provides short explanation of the combination effects. For example: MS [8] & WS[6] means Prosperity, good wealth. Geomancy.net Flying star course students, do get a table showing all the meaning of the 81 combinations i.e. 1 with 2 2 with 3 etc.. to 9 with 9 Alternatively, perhaps some authors may have such a table for you. Currently I am very busy, as several new condominiums have TOP such as Gardens @ Bishan and the Maderia and …

The water stars to currently activate are #7- current prosperity, #8 future prosperity and #9 - prosperity yet to come. Before you activate the water stars they must be in an open space - like main entrance, not locked away in a bedroom or such other room. Water stars need activity. Mountain stars need no movement. Do not activate other water stars especially #2 - sickness star and #5 - misfortune star. Water in the west is not good. Glyn

Dear Jack, Feng Shui can help in two situations: 1.Apply the Eight House Theory: Best study directions and Best bed-head directions (for sleep) 2. Yin & Yang; Yang & Yin Many other situations may have to do more with the food you take, your current "stress-levels"; "support-group" etc... 1. Try to generateyour own personal Eight House chart to see where your best work directions are. If possible, but taking into consideration; the bedroom layout plan; you should try to sit facing agood direction for study. It is also nice to have the bed-head facing towards a good direction. But often, like the layout plan that you had sketched out, usually it is much harder …

Dear Freddy, For Nine Star Ki application, you can perhaps purchase books from Nine Star Ki authors. John Sandifier's book is `more technical' and relates to 9 Star Ki (calculation). You can perhaps purchase books by Simon Brown on Nine Star Ki applications. I believe his titles are like Feng Shui for the Home / Feng Shui for the Office. Do search eg. amazon.com for these authors. In general, although you are considered 6 White Metal Element, in my personal opinion, doing or just concentrating only on a specific sector such as the bedroom does not necessarily yield `positive' results. The Key Success Factor in the use of Feng Shui and other disciplines such as Pillars of …

Dear Michael, Yes, Eight House can be applied in the in bedroom where you sleep. This is where the Sleep Position or Bed position report in our Members Area come in. http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports-list/perlist-sleep-position.htm ie. Sleeping with Head North and Foot facing South, if your North isLongevity direction for example. However, you should always remember, that the general shapes and form placement of the bed holds a greater priority over Sleep position. So only apply this when there are other bedroom alternative that comply with the shapes and form concepts. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee - GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui R…

Dear Kianwatt, The first two looks better then the last two. As the last two can sometimes be looked as a sunset, so for living room probably you want to have something which is more bright and pleasant. The 1st picure more more like a Mountain Water scenery. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
