Dear Anon, Frankly, there are quite alot of variations of land forms. And often it is best to use the term "it depends" as often no two situations are unique. This is because, often, in a forum such as this, if I describe a specific land form, and to say that it is inauspcious may not be correct. As some users here, may feel that what was described does not match the current situation. More importantly, much of what you have mentioned has more to do with commonsense approach:- 1. The major clue is the foundation of the site or area. Often, if the entire foundation of the site ie. your plot of land, your neighbourshave a solid foundation, even if there is a slope be…

Dear Connie, Thanks for the sketch. As there are two sets of windows and the bedroom door is close to the toilet area etc... the best position for the bedhead is perhaps shown in the attachment. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Rochi, 1. In general, the main entrance door of a house is considered the `mouth' of the house where `qi' enters it. 2. Thus, the main entrance is considered important. 3. The `worry' here is that since the main entrance is suppose to be the `mouth' of the house, a toilet, next to it may inadvertenly, bring in bad qi especially coming from the `toilet'. 4. As you mentioned, if the wall surrounding the toilet is a `solid' wall, there may not be such an effect. The other reason can be looked at e.g. where the toilet area is just above the main entrance door. Here, one day the pumbing (if it is directly above the main entrance) may leak. "Someone coming into the house m…

1. Generally, the entire plot of land and building is rectangular under Shapes and forms is acceptable. 2. There is a high concentration of Catholic (buildings); Generally such buildings are considered "clean" compared to some temples etc... 3. Currently, the best facing directions within this development is NE or SW facing. There are also NW or SE facing which is not as good. 4. Majority of all developments have good and not so good units. Thus, one can apply Flying Star to futher fine tune the interior of the unit.

Dear Susan, Yes, I do agree with your comments. It has nothing do with Traditional Feng Shui. As this is not based on Traditional Feng Shui practises. Some traditional Feng Shui Practitioners (with a religious flair) would instead `protect' the main entrance e.g. with charms or the traditional Ba Gua mirror. This is the first time, I have heard of such a `practise' also. Perhaps, new wave " FS ". Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, In a past article in this website; I have mentioned that there was a study in Germany. Where it was reported that there were higher incidences of cancer for those who place their bed above a sewerage pipe. In your case, hopefully, the toilet bowl shares another wall (other than with your bed head). If so, so long as the toilet bowl does not share the same wall as your bed-head this is often fine. Just try to avoid having the toilet bowl (pipes) on the same wall as your bed-head. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: I have a wallbetween my bedroom and bathroom. Frankly, it is difficult to change the external factors, since majority or all the time, we do not have control over this. It is not like, one can get the dragon side to be higher than what it is or the tiger side -- lower. This is not just possible. Thus, you have to consider maximizing the FengShui of your home by other means i.e. improve other areas of your home, instead.

Dear Anon, Thanks for the information. I have not fully analysed the paragraph in details. As the animal sign (Horse: one of the 12 Chinese `Zodiac' Animals can be further analysed as either Yin or Yang and further sub-divided into the various elements. There may be some truth in it but I am currently too busy to look into it further. Here if anyone has the time, can check the element of the Horse and see if it is in harmony with the Fire element (Red) and incompatible with (Green) most likely a Dragon (East). Usually, we are looking at only the `Year' of birth element only and not all 4 birth dates i.e. Year, Month, Day and Time x 2 (stem and branch) of the Pillars of de…

1. For a landed property, it is very straight forward to take a compass reading i.e. majority of the time it is where usually cars drive past our main entrance area. And this is where often, we drive into the home. And most of the living room / main door is (located). For landed property, just hold the luo-pan (most of the time) standing inside of the door looking outwards of the home. The luo pan has a needle and there is also "two red dots". Once the needleis properly aligned try to place the two dots in between the needle - this marking will show the north compass marking. 2. Fora condo type development, if your building as mentioned earlier has one "facing" e.g. a s…

Dear Tracey, For homes that are built or had a major renovation under Period 8, do look out for water star #8. Since, water can be used (often in a landed property) to activate this water star - for wealth purposes. It would be even be excellent if #6 is present under this configuration. For example at a sector: water star is = #8 and base star is = #6 (big metal) With this two combination of 6, 8, water can be used to form a auspicious flow. However, under the Flying star chart one must be extra careful of a reverse in this position where: water star is not #8 but instead, mountain star is #8. And in the above equation; Mountain star = #8 base star = #6 this 8, 6 combi…

Dear Eng Soon, Generally, often it is best to purchase ready made altars. Most of the time, these altars are made according to Feng Shui measurements. If you have a Feng Shui ruler, most of the time, good altars have both measurements for both Yang (living) and Yin (dead) Feng Shui ruler measurements that match good auspicious measurements within these two zones. Thus, generally, good altar measurements range between:- 15 inches to 17 inches 16 to 27.5 inches 34 to 35.5 inches 41.5 to 23 inches 49.5 to 50.5 inches 57 to 58.5 inches Any of the above can be used for either the Width, Height, Length or Breath of an altar. For 2: the best is to close the door when not in use. For 1: if the toilet location has bad flying star numbers; that would indirectly be good. Such questions are something like: my earlier example of a person who has 7 grown up family members. He is now driving a saloon car (capacity of 5 persons). How are you going to squeeze the other two family members in that car - I wonder. Go get a Deluxe MPV with a seating capacity of 7 to 8 persons, then. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am sitting at a ProsperityDirection in my office but there is a pillar sharp corner facing my direction. Anonymous wrote: Just wondering howcan these be resolved? Is putting a plantat my desk to block good enough? 1. The best if you can put a partition or object (ie like a plant) to block the Sha Qi. In feng shui, when you can no longer see it, it no longer becomes a threat. 2. Some other ways if partition is not possible, is to have a circular mirror / a small dragon figuring to be placed on your desk to help deflect the poison arrow away. The first method above isbetterif possible. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOM…

Dear Anon, From my personal experience, this would depend also depend on the qualities of the advise given. If one uses a combination of the best `tools' of analysis such as knowing a person's true element and strength, Flying Star and Eight house and for the home a high level of Shapes and Form School, the results are nearly `immediate'. For example, there are many cases where at one glance of the Flying Star Chart of the house, one can tell whether the house is auspicious or not. Sometimes we do compare the house under e.g. Period 6 and Period 7. I know of a few cases where the owners did a major renovation in Period 7. The original birth chart e.g. in Period 6 was exc…

Dear Anon, 1. If you are considering the Eight House Theory, usually, it is used to find whether the house is suitable to the breadwinner. 2. Please check your compass direction. If your house is between Compass degree = O degrees to 22.4 degrees; then the house is considered a North house. If the compass reading is between 22.5 degrees to 45 degrees then, the house is a North East House. 3. The Eight House is only an indication as to whether the house is suitable or not suitable for you. Other considerations is required under the Eight House. Such as whether the bedroom you are sleeping is also an auspicious sector. 4. The `battle' of whether the house is auspicious has…

1. A water feature that contains all five elements is suppose to create a balance of the five elements in a specific sector. But both in theory and at the same time the optimium consideration for a water feature. 2. However, in the past, a water feature is often used:- 2.1. A water feature with specific number of fishes especially "GOLD" fish : 7 gold-fish and 1 black gold fish is used to disarm bad qi areas that has either #5 or if there is a lamp post facing a window of a home and this is or was used to that effect. 2.2. For wealth: Nowadays, today, especially if the sector is SW (under the current 2004 upto 2023) a water position at SW is suppose to help tap the "…

Dear Tegs, If I read your message correctly, I believe you will be placing the headrest of your bed against a wall. This is a good choice. If you have a low linen cupboard, you can actually place it at the foot of the bed. Alternatively, whether it is possible to use a privacy screen or any other cabinet e.g. a low book shelf (with the shelf) facing outwards towards the door. Taking into consideration "priorities", the legs facing the door is not as bad as the bed against a window etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Janet, Anonymous wrote: In my home the toilet is above the main entrance, I have been told that this symbolises wealth running out of the home, is they any way i can cure this? thank you from janet Yes, toilet above or beside your main door is considered a major feng shui leak for a home. There is very little you can do about it unfortunately. However, under the traditional feng shui, it is said that having a Chinese Hulu (bottle gourd) can help to attempt to trap wealth before it leaks out of the home. Also keeping the toilet seat cover close will minimise the wealth leak. These two can only help to reduce the wealth leak. There is unfortunately not much else you …

1. Frankly, as you have correctly asked the question: Does Feng Shui really help? 2. These are some of the considerations:- 2.1. Feng Shui is not a cure all. Thus everything cannot gravitate towards Feng Shui alone. 2.2. Under the Chinese "Holy Trinity" of luck; Feng Shui is just one of the three types of luck:- The three types of luck are:- Heaven Luck - or commonly known as born with Earth Luck - Feng Shui of the home, workplace or even at study Human (Man) Luck - Family relationships, bonding and support structure. 3. As one can see, Earth Luck accounts only for 33.3 percent of the above luck. Thus in an examination, anyone with just 33.3 marks upon 100 percent i…

From what I read, there are two methods1. The Eight Houses Theory (static) 2. The Flying School Theory (corelated with time, dynamic). The second one seems to take precedence over the first, since it's an extension and more complex, more accurate This article might help: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/fst/fst-8h-intro.htm You have to set your priorities and make your choices. In fact, all in life is about choices Best wishes Doris - a Feng Shui reader

Dear Anon, Further to what I had mentioned, if your home is currently a Period 7 home, you should also investigate or map out your home using Period 8 East 2/3 chart to see if this chart has any particular benefit: Especially if you have the living room at the west or the back of the home. If so, and if other sectors are better, you may / should consider flying to it if it is found to be a better chart. Warmest Regards, Cecil

I've recently changed the colour of the paint on my walls from the blue to lavender and find it a much more pleasant sleep. My overall mood is better, but I know that I could still have a better sleep.
