Dear Ng Chiew Kiat, I believe you are trying to ask whether you can just enter the date of birth of the club in the ba zi report, am I right? Well, not really. The ba zi is for pesonal luck, you cannot use it in the same way for the establishment of a business or club. Though, it was a really good way of looking at it. But it will not work that way. You can only assess the feng shui but not the luck of the business/club/establishment. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Hi Master, I've heard that it is good to add a partition inbetween Main door and window to avoid the "Qi" from directly flowing out. But have also read that placing a partition after the main door is bad as it blocks the "Qi" from going into the house. Please advise if you would recommend placing a partition based on the floor plan. Thanks!

Dear Ellen, 1. Personally, many years back when I first started on Feng Shui, I was equally concerned about how well the carpet and the flooring `matches' the breadwinner's Ba Zhi or element and its strength. 2. Here, I would try to relate the flooring + breadwinner's Ba Zhi in relation to the Five elements concept. 3. If you were to asked me today, how I feel about it, I would say that, my thinking has been `altered'. 4. Not so much because, I have changed my mind but rather, instead of looking at flooring under the Five Elements concept, look at it more on the Yin and Yang perspective. 5. Unde the Five elements concept, I would `crack' my brains trying to see if there …

Again, appreciate; please note the following:- 1. There are already tons of past resources on the subject of mirrors. 2. Make an effort to use your fingers to the "walking" by using the SEARCH feature on this forum. Simple search terms like "Mirror in bedroom " etc.. would yield the answer to your mirrored wardrope issue. Look at it this way, your friend is not the only one that faces or is concerned with this issue. This issue has been around even before this forum existed. Extract from a past message:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=15138&new= 3. You have to be realistic; and go search for the French term: Triage.. Some of the…

Dear Anon, In order to understand `better', I like to share with you the fact that in the past, Chinese usually avoid having a toilet in the house! Here, there is totally no toilet at all. Hopes the above `answers' your question. For those who love water or long baths, it is not so good news. In my opinion, where possible the toilet bowl should not be at the true compass points i.e. at every 15 degree increments as this is based on the Flying Star 24 directions. The reason is because, if it so happen to be at an auspicious sector, this is not `so good.' Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jo, 1. Usually no one does that especially pasting it e.g. on a main entrance door. (Under commonsense), it would not be appropriate to come up to the main door and greeted by a tiger with its mouth opened. 2. For the belief on `guardians' of the main door , for example, usually, they come in pairs e.g. two lion statues on each side of the door. 3. Even in some Chinese homes or temples, you see two door Gods on each side of the door. 4. Perhaps, one can have two split image of the tigers on a door. But usually this is not the norm but rarely if some does it. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Alex, It would be good if you can draw close sketch and attach it to this forum. I would like to answer your question but, I hope can understand that I would need to see the following clearly:- 1. The shape of your plot of land and the outline of the concrete-lined drainage ditch. In particular - the outline of the concrete-lined drainage. 2. Describe the gradient on all four sides of the house. 3. If possible, describe the surrounding houses e.g in front; side. Alternatively a street directory map of the sector of your house. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. The best is often to move out of the home during the renovation period. 2. For the Chinese, it is best to pray facing the grand duke. For example, it can be a simple apology by saying: "Apologies or sorry to disturb you, as I have to start renovations, soon. Some Chinese offer two incense sticks with 5 fruits on a plate to applease the god. As for the Five yellow or work required outside of the home place some metal between the home and the work to be carried out. Otherwise, can still do the above prayer to the spirits of the home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Elena, Grateful, if you can clarify: 1. "My front door opens to a wall". Does it mean that there is a small open space outside your front entrance area. Where is the fish tank going to be placed in relation to the door. 2. What is the shape of the fish tank. 3. Does it exceed 33.3 percent of the study room area or just small tank. 4. Can you let me have the flying star numbers for the main entrance and the study room. 5. Where best, the breadwinner should not have the element: strong water or weak fire element. 6. If you are standing at the main entrance, looking outside, the fish tank should not be at the right side of house. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Spring, Currently it is difficult to visualise the good luck plant you are referring to. But if it is the Money Plant, then it is also known as crassula ovata. For a money plant it is more a vine (plant) than bamboo. Alternatively, I am not sure if you are referring to the Hyacinth or hyacinthus orientalis. This is a upward growing plant. It flowers with either pink, light yellow, blue or white. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Mr Cecil, You mentioned in Eight House Theory it is advisable that an East person should occupy an `East house'. For an East person, therefore, a favourable house is one where the frontage/main door is located at either:-EAST, NORTH, SOUTH or SOUTH EAST. I belong to East Group, my unit balcony frontage is facing South 3 as shown in the diagram. In this case my frontage become located in SouthWest which is bad location(sector) for an east kua group. Does this house consider east / west house? What happen if the facing is good but located in bad sector? Will I still benefit from this house?

Dear Cecil, Thanks a lot for your generous assistance. I did go through the old forum messages and you did mention is better not to concern on number of goldfishes to prevent the trouble of replacing if any of the fishes die. Actually I don't understand what is Flying Star Feng Shui but somehow number 8 is still one of the best numbers. I'll add in another 4 little goldfishes then. Thank you once again. rgds, Stanley

Dear Mr Lee May I ask what happens if the weaken metal (in my case double 7) is in the bedroom (base 3, yr 1), which I cannot possible put a water feature there. What should I do? Can I change bedsheet to blue? Fire can exhaust metal correct? So should I paint the wall pink or put a red rug on the floor? Awaiting your valued advice. Dear AM, 1. Yes, I do agree with you that if one is doing Feng Shui on your own, it would be difficult to apply everything universally. 2. This is because no amount of text-book can address `unique' situations. 3. I remembered some years back when a user of this forum wrote that houses in Sweden have their kitchen in an `island' or pumping which is `contrary' to Feng Shui. 4. It boils down to experience and this is where a FS practitioner or `Master' can make the difference. 5. Your situation is not unsimilar to many condominums where some units have their main entrance door facing `land' while their `frontage' or balcony faces water. 6. So far, I believe no book has full…

Dear Will, 1. The main consideration of a house is that it should not have a large `mouth'. 2. From what I can understand from your description that your house has two main entrance. It is best to (as you have mentioned) try to use one entrance. This is because, too many openings at the frontage is not advantages. For example, if a house has sliding doors at the frontage instead of e.g. a pair of doors, and if the ratio of main door is pretty large in relation to the frontage, it can lead to e.g. females in the house becoming lonely or those who aer unmarried in a house, remain single. You can make use of the Eight House Theory to see which door is more favourable to yo…

Dear Master Cecil: Thank you for your response. I know that I'm not the only one in this scenario. I wasn't sure what the solution was because I heard so many different cures that just didn't make any sense. And of course just because I don't have the same good directions as my fiancee does NOT mean that I'm going to leave him for somebody else that does!! Your advice was greatly appreciated. Have a great day!

These are some of the considerations: 1. Are you able to like... forget ever seeing all the resources on your career choice? 2. And since you are a recent graduate; most important follow your passion? 3. Do take note that in the past a butcher is a butcher; a merchant is a merchant. 4. Today, jobs can be classified into multi-levels:- 4.1. For example: one level is the industry one is in. 4.2. The next level is one's main job function. 5. Thus, an example is although teaching belongs to the wood element; perhaps; one could be teaching one of the disciplines relating to say earth and/or marketing. 6. If your specialization is non-of-the above under Para 5; then my suggesti…

Dear Cah, So far, this combination of stars happen to be under the 20 Year Flying Star, Period 8, West 2 & 3. The entire story, here is that under P8, West 2 & 3; unfortunately sector NW has this MS 7 WS 9 and BS 9. Thus it is NOT exactly true to say that this is a location where we can enhance. BUT rather, a location that we SHOULD neutralise bad stars. Why? #9 or the purple star 9 is = Fire element And in addition to this, this sector has twice the number of #9's (x 2) Furthermore, the combination of MS7 with WS9 reacts resulting in sexual problems. Thus, you or the Master is correct to try to introduce "Water" into the sector. Water can help to drown or re…

1. In my opinion, since you stated that the home is vacant; 2. There is no issue for you to do renovations this year be it at East or other sectors so long as you have not moved into THAT home. 3. Thus, even if you were to do 10 or 20 renovations prior to move-in; there is no issue. 4. This is based on the concept of a remote control. Here, if you don't stay in that home; you cannot use a "remote control" to control your home. 5. However, if you had already moved-in to the home even after the 10 or 20 renovations; and "touch" or "disturb" East sector; then this is different. 5.1. Thus say after move-in; you don't like the wall colour at East and decided to repaint it a…

1. Usually, if you have been using your English name most or all the time, now, frankly, it does not make any sense to change your Chinese (Mandarin) name. 2. However, some suggest that one may (could) make a "dog-tag" carved or eitched with your new name and "wear it". 3. Otherwise, it may be "pound foolish" to change your Chinese name. Even if you want to change your Chinese name, your new Chinese name should be "better" than your existing one - through proper advise. Quote: Anonymous wrote: Hi, My Chinese name has not beenused for a long time. But primary school friends used to call me by that name alot. Subsequently, new friends at sec sch called me by my Eng…

Dear Marie, If you have Chinese guests, it would be a nice gesture if the host can wear Red. As this is considered a very auspicious colour for this occassion. If you country allows the use of fire crackers, this is a tradition, we Chinese use to ward off evil and usher in the new year. Furthermore, the pathway will be pathed with the remains of red paper (belonging to the fire crackers). If u are not allowed to do so, please don't do so. If you have give exchange, never, never, give a wall clock as a gift. This is very bad luck! If you have Chinese guests, try to find some lovely Chinese music. Otherwise, some soothing music would create a warmth atmosphere. …

Dear Fiona, In my opinion, symbollically one can change or replace 6 to 8 tiles. Yes, while doing so, try to allow light into the upper floor where the roof is. One can remove this ceiling board and replace this old one once this is done. No need to replace a new one. Warmest Regards, Cecil
