Dear Marissa, Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Monday, July 19, 1999 1:44 AM Subject: bedroom colors There are three ways to go about doing the colour schemes:- 1. If unsure, use a neutral colour like white for the room. 2. The most accurate way is to:- Step 1: Look at the Flying Star Chart of the House. For example, if there is a Five Yellow or a bad 5 star at a location, it is best to avoid earth colours like yellow. If not, this will enhance the earth colour. Step 2: Your pillars element and its strength is important. For example, if you are a weak Fire person, you can …

For such figurines, you can buy it place it facing whatever direction and it will still not change your luck or elements. True Feng Shui is all about understanding your luc…

In an article I wrote much earlier at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/photo1.htm there is a picture (Picture 3) where this house has it's back at the junction of a major traffic light junction. The owner went to the extent of erecting a high brick wall and he even placed two Chinese warrior statues and recently he even place a sign between the two Chinese warrior with the words " Fort Meyer " (Meyer refering to the side road to his house). At the foot of the two statues, he placed a wide variety of cactus. On the top of the walls he placed at roughly 2 feet intervals Chinese lamp to represent `lighting' up the place. Imagine, this person went to so much extent to protect…

Dear Eleni, If you are D.I.Y. Feng Shui, then, it is best that you may have to (depending on your interest and absorption), take as little as a month or even 6 to 1 year to really understand some of the key principles. I understand, many of us, simply want to read a book on Feng Shui and apply the ideas immediately. However, it is not like "William Hung" of the American Idol fame, http://www.williamhung.org who thinks that every area can be "cultivated" or worked on for everyone. For example, several years back, this Doctor, sought to practice Feng Shui. Usually doctors are intelligent people. But this doctor thought that Feng Shui is just like reading books on the human …

Dear Anon, Based on Flying Star Feng Shui, currently many homes that usually have NE or SW facing and that are Period 8 homes should enjoy better Feng Shui or earth luck. As to the perfect home, one chief concern is the external shapes and forms. As this has a great influence on the home. In addition, it is good that the home or apartment should if possible not be affected too much by direct sunlight. For example, we should avoid homes with critical areas "bathed" by the afternoon sun - especially if it is a wall "soaking in the" afternoon sun e.g. master bedroom wall or children's bedroom; living room etc... Such h…

Dear Carlene, From the description you have provided, it looks OK to add a window. The only acceptions are: 1. After it is installed, check that there are no poision arrows e.g. sharp corners from neighbouring buildings that point to the windows. 2. If Thee is a poision arow, you may need to neutralize it e.g. using thicker curtains. It is better to have a room with natural light than a dark room. For skyline, it is adviceable not to have it above a bedroom for privacy. For practical reasons and not Feng Shui, one reason is that it maybe exposed to thieves. Otherwise, it is acceptable to install a new window. "Listmanager" wrote: __________

Dear Marie, If you have Chinese guests, it would be a nice gesture if the host can wear Red. As this is considered a very auspicious colour for this occassion. If you country allows the use of fire crackers, this is a tradition, we Chinese use to ward off evil and usher in the new year. Furthermore, the pathway will be pathed with the remains of red paper (belonging to the fire crackers). If u are not allowed to do so, please don't do so. If you have give exchange, never, never, give a wall clock as a gift. This is very bad luck! If you have Chinese guests, try to find some lovely Chinese music. Otherwise, some soothing music would create a warmth atmosphere. …

Dear Anon, Truly, in this case, you really have not much place left for an office. For most office, so long as it is well ventillated e.g. with air-con. This is OK. However, if (last resort) you are using your home bomb shelter, one can still do so so long as there is also sufficent ventilation and lighting. Frankly, often, the rubbish cute is closed when not in use. Not a major issue. Therefore, if you really have no choice, do try it out first and see how it goes, here. Of-course, if there are any other choice e.g. using the living room - where one can see the day - night, this is much the bette…

Dear Nikhil, If you have seen most of the questions posted, Feng Shui and Destiny deals trying to increase luck. Feng Shui tries to increase one's earth luck while Destiny (Pillars of Destiny) maps out the heaven luck and we can enhance oneself with it. Thus, it is hard at the moment to pinpoint what went `wrong' presently. The other situation is that holistic Feng Shui plus destiny depends on your level of participation or usage of it. For a start, you can:- 1. Improve on `Earth' Luck You can use some of the concepts or check whether your home is `harmonized' with - Shapes and Forms Feng Shui - Eight House - Flying Star 2. Improve on `Heaven' Luck - Pillars of Destiny -…

I believe this is the first time that you have heard how the painting or embroidery of the 100 birds came about:- 1. One day a Ching Emperor just got married. He was impressed with the Dragon and Phoenix wedding card that an artist had produced for him. 2. He summoned the artist to the court. And this Ching Emperor decreed that the artist must for him a "trophy-painting" of him (the Emperor) with all his concubines in the painting. 3. The Emperor commanded that none of his concubines must be left out else the artist would pay a penalty for each concubine missing in the painting. 4. With the help o…

Dear SL, When the Flying Star course starts, in early October, you can find out more about how to draw the Flying Star Chart. It uses a formula and is not directly related to the I-Ching. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Elena, If you have not stayed at the house yet, you can get the contractor to paint the entire house. The `worse' effect is if one digs the ground at the Tai Sui's current location or knocks down the wall at the location. This is the main concerned as compared to painting the wall. I would go ahead to paint the entire house but (out of Chinese custom) avoid being at the location when the house/that sector has been painted. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Delia, Delia Vidal wrote: I don't know where to begin with the Feng Shui procedure. Believe it or not, I have ordered to Feng Shui kits and it describes each item and what it does....but nothing regarding the ceremony. There are so many different steps fordifferent kinds of analysis. Unless you know exactly what you are trying to do or accomplish, it is hard for anyone to advise you where or what to start. Probably it is best you go through some of the basic resources on our website. A simple house survey would be:- URL…

Dear Rachel, Rachel Rachel wrote: Now I understand the percentages, but what I don't understand is why is 7 Fire, for example, considered "Extremely Weak" when it obviously has the highest percentage (56%) compared to all other elements in my chart. The Extremely weak is based on the seasonal influence based on your month of birth that will influence all the elements present in your chart. This extremely weak is the strength of the Fire element given your season of birth. As to whether you are weak or strong will eventually be based on how many of each elements you have after the seasonal influence, the number of each element you have is computated. The 56% is computate…

Dear Spring, Please don't despair. With regards to the house Feng Shui, you mentioned that your bedroom is on the `east side'. Try to stand at the centrepoint of the house and use an ordinary compass to check to see if your bedroom is at the compass direction east. If your house was built or had a major renovation done between 1984 to 2003; most likely if your bedroom is at the `East'; for last year there will defintely be a Yearly #5 (misfortune and sickness) at that sector. This does not include at least a base #5 (misfortune and sickness) star at East. And usually there is another #5 or #2 in this location. If so, for Lunar New Year starting from 1 February 2003, the …

Dear Anon, In my opinion, there is really nothing magical about a wish box. It is similar to someone keeping a good luck charm. Since this does not fall into the category of Feng Shui or divinity, I am unable to answer your question. However, I do not really see any harm in keeping or treasuring it. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Master Cecil: I tried the tool provided by the geomancy.net to take a look at the flying star of my house and found that 2, 3, and 5 are at my main entrance. Those are the worst combination of numbers, is it right? What should I do? Sell my house and move? I am very worried. Please help. Regards, Jen

Dear Jen, Since your main entrance area has #2 sickness #5 misfortune/sickness and #3 bad wood, try to avoid: 1. Too much earth elements e.g. yellow, cream or beige at the frontage area. 2. Avoid red colour also at this area (since fire - red colour may further fuel bad earth). 3. For #3, try also to avoid green colour at the frontage. 4. For one, it is ok to place 6 coins above the main door in a single row. Alternatively, see if you can instead place a wind chime outside of this area to help neutralise these three bad combinations. Warmest Regards, Cecil
