Dear Carol, So far, Feng Shui has not come to the dogs yet. In the olden days, priority of Feng Shui goes to searching a site for a community e.g. a large city. This would also apply to a site or a building or a home. Therefore, in the past the emphasis of Feng Shui is not like what we are doing, looking for `cures'. As for pet dogs, there is currently no mention of this anywhere on the best place to place them in cages. I guess dogs used to roam around and the Chinese (unfortunately) enjoy eating them. Moderator's Note: The reply to this is under " More Grand Duke Questions" Hi. I see there's questions about construction in the East. My question is: Would there be any ill effects from tearing out flower beds in the W and SW, and building a raised bed in the NE this year? The earth *would* be disturbed by putting in rebar to hold the timbers down in the NE and taking out rebar in the W and SW. I have read with interest the various questions sent to the forum recently regarding Windchimes, Coins, Eight Life Aspirations etc. etc. and would like to tell my story. In 1997 I became interested in FS and started reading whatever books I could get on the subject. I then followed what was said, wind chime here, coins there,plant here, water there and the list went on. To say my family experienced many problems is putting it mildly. I urge fellow forum members to take heed of the advice Cecil and Robert give you in relation to "Fast Food Feng Shui" as believe me, disaster WILL strike. Glyn

Any body interested in learning how numbers fly can try the book called "The idiots complete guide to feng shui". But please don't apply the remedy given in that book since it takes in to consideration the water star and mountain star and it is based on the facing and sitting direction of the house. And does not base calculation on the location of main door.

Overall, this is not directly related to Feng Shui. Frankly, I am not familiar with this area i.e. Aromatherapy. Perhaps, you can find out more from Global Shops like the " Body Shop " etc... In Feng Shui, smells can be classified as under one of the Five Elements. For example, peppery smell goes towards the Fire element etc...
