  1. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Here is a dilemma I have been puzzled about. I wanted to know how does Annual star affect the 20 year stars (mine is period 7). Do I keep the same color cure for the whole20 year stars or I need to change the colors according to my Annual star treatment? The annual stars will influence the luck for that year itself. You should always correct the 20-year stars first, since it influence most of the luck for the house. Then fine tune the cures slightly for the year itself. When you fine tune your cires, look out for the problem stars like star 5/2. Those are the sectors you may need to add additional cures for the year. For example, if the base star has star 2, then a star 2/5 comes in for the year. That sector may need more Metal element cures. While, the material will influence the other portion of the element. So if 5 rod winchime it will be earth-water element. if 6 rod windchime it will metal-water element. Hope that helps. You also have to base it on the percentage of the element. Sometimes, you lack a certain percentage of an element (ie 0%), then some of that element even if it is not the favourable is good for you but usually that is added after you have some of your favourable elements to boost your element first. 3. Hello Master Robert Lee, Your name analysis is marvelous. The best and most detailed I've seen so far. In the near future, I will take up your offer to have a complete name change. I can't do it now for 2 reasons. First, I almost never use my Chinese name. Second, I've just changed my English name legally, so I want to wait for a few months to see it's effect. I thank you once more. Alex Singapore 12 Sep 2006 Hello Master Robert Lee, Thank you for your advice. 5. Dear Jess, Jess Lim wrote: I am a yin water born in spring where water is weak... However, the Bazi Report shown that i am a strong yin water. I am confuse. I already mentioned to you, there are several more factors to consider such as whether or not any combinations or clashes takes place within your chart. Some of that will impact the final number of the five element count in your chart. In you chart for example, yes you may be born in the season where you water is weak. But even if it is weak, if there are sufficient favourable elements vs your unfavourable element, you will still be strong:- Element Strength Percentage 4 Water Weak 30 % 3 Wood Strongest 38 % 1 Fire Strong 10 % 0 Earth Extremely Weak 0 % 4 Metal Weakest 20 % In your case, you are a water element person. Your seasons of birth is Spring which makes Water weak. But as you have 4 weak water (30%) and 4 Weakest Metal (20%). Your total favourable element percentage is 50%. A water person, unfavourable elements are 0% Extremely weak Earth (destroy your favourable water) and 10%of 1 Strong Fire (destroy your favourable metal). So total unfavourable is 10% Wood element can destroy Earth (your unfavourable element), it can also exhaust your Water (your favourable element), and can also help Fire (your unfavourable element). So it cannot be considered in the initial equation as it cancel itself out. Favourable (water+metal) 50% So the best career if possible is a mixed of both Earth and Fire. ie Sales and Marketing(Fire) in Construction industry (Earth). So it contains both element. 8. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am confuse if i am a weak or strong bitrh element... What did our free ba zi report from this link tell you? URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm As our free report isn't crippled in any way, the results that it analysed will be the exact same result we will assess you if you obtain the paid report. This means if it tells you that you are a weak water, then you are indeed a weak water. The only difference is that in the free report, it does not show you why or how it obtain the final five element breakdown. Anonymous wrote: But I have 3 metal and 3 water elements to support my birth element. Does they turn me into a strong water? These 3 metal and 3 water means nothing if you do not process it along with other factors that will alter the initial element strengthen and percentage. A) If 3 metal is of extremely weak and 3 water is of weakest category, then it is very different compared to 3 strongest and 3 strong water. So the number 3 itself means absolutely nothing if you do not associate it with the strengthen of the seasons. B) Also, more importantly, you may initially have 3 metal or 3 water, but once you process the combinations and clashes, some of your intiial elements may lose its properties and get converted to say an unfavourable element that makes you weak. So finally, you might only have 1 metal 2 water, and more of your unfavourable elements. Thus, you will also likely to be weak. So unless you have considered the above changes into your chart, your initial five element breakdown means nothing really. It is after all these information is processed and then you get a proper percentage breakdown of the five element, then you can really tell how weak or strong you are. This is where our free report/paid report already have done so. Therefore, if it has assessed you as a weak water. Then the percentage of your metal+water is definately lesser than the percentage of the unfavourable elements. Just that these information are not revealed in the free report. Users are therefore supposed to assess these information themselves. Anonymous wrote: What it means when I don?t have earth element in my bazi chart? You have to first confirm that there are no combinations that convert existing elements into earth element. And not just based on the basic five element present in your initial/raw ba zi chart. If there is really lacking in a certain element, this usually means not so balanced chart. Therefore, the first thing that is associated with such a chart is usually more potential health issues. As too much or too little a percentage in the five element often results in a person with potentially higher health issues. Also, this means that this person may lack several deities as compared to a more balanced chart. Beyond that a full review of the chart is required to be able to tell more. 12. Dear Marisol Colon, Marisol Colon wrote: I am a bit confused. I was wondering for instance my husband's Death area (Metal) is West so what do I do here, do I just leave this area alone or do I use another element other than Metal to sort of protect him? I also know that balancing the elements is important. Correct me if I am wrong but to enhance his Propserity area which is South (Fire) I am just going to add a fire element to this area. The Eight House which gives you the 4 good and 4 bad directions are meant to assess suitability for the room or the best directions. So if Death (West) sector) is inauspicious, then it is best that the house does not face West or the bedroom which he spends most of the time in does not fall under the west sector. This means that if it is unsuitable, just spend less time in this room for any important event (ie working/sleeping etc). As this is about suitability, you can't just correct or enhance it. Just do not use it or make sure you are facing your good direction for any important work/sleep position etc. What you canenhance is based on your ba zi:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm ie. if you are a weak water for example, than metal/water will tend to make you stronger and thus considered your favourable element. Then you can use this the reference information in this link to boost up the various areas related to water (ie North facing, colours like blue/black/gray, career such as arts etc). URL: http://talk.geomancy.net So where your suitability issues cannot be corrected or enhance, then you should focus to enhance your ba zi. Make it better by choosing the right house facing, the right career, the right colours for your clothes/car/room decor etc. Hope that helps. 13. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: under 8 pie wedge it produces only 8 cells missing centre palace. Yes, 8 pie divides the sector into 8 sectors. That is why you need to add a circle in the center which provides for the center sector. That is why Cecil mentioned the apricot. The core in the center will cover for the missing center center influence that the 8 pie missed. This is actually the method most professional use when assessing feng shui. As it divides the sector equally into each sphere of influence. But it may be harder for some to apply because some area which is divided in between may be harder for most people to decide which sector influence is greater. 14. Dear Tan Poh Lee, Quote: However, i have studied and found that my self element is yin water. My favorable elements is Fire, metal and earth. I mean yin water does not really tell you whether or not a person is weak or strong. Therefore, you won't know what are your favourable elements. Based on our reports, you are a weak yin water. A weak water person will generally mean that metal and water elements are generally lacking in your chart, therefore, metal and water are favourable for you. A strong water person will generally mean that you have too much water and metal and thus making you strong. So the elements that help to exhaust your elements are good for you ie wood, fire, earth. In feng shui where you only know the weak or strong characteristics, you use the above definition to correct the elements you lack. However, you can always further fine tune the analysis when you know the exact percentage of the elements you have in your chart. This is available to the paid reports only. But it will give you a percentage breakdown of your element so that you can fine tune your elements. For example if you are a weak water, but if you have 0% metal and 10% water, this means you lack more metal than water. So Metal will be the most favourable element you lack in your chart, than compared to Water. If your percentage is such as 10% metal and 0% water, then you lack more water than metal. So we based on that to fine tune which elements you need more. Quote: 1)should u focus on career element which is of your self element ? When you look at career. Everyone will have their own career with wealth, career with power and authority, and suitable career. Again, the full paid report will show you this information. But in general, usually only strong element person will benefit from having career with wealth or power/authority. Weak character person will benefit more from having elements that make you strong. So often careers belonging to water/metal elements are generally suitable for you. For weak person, it is not that you cannot benefit from career with wealth but you need to strengthen your weak water before you can benefit from it. So often, most will find that having careers that are metal/water will be better than having a career that is of your wealth element. As for your conclusion, to be frank, I have no idea what or how you have analysed the chart. But anyway, our analysis has always been as what I have provided above. Hope that helps. 15. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: If I was born in Melbourne, Australia at 10am (in December), do I need to change the time to Singapore/China time when I am calculating my BaZhi? Anonymous wrote: There is also daylight saving in Melbourne to take into account. December is summer here which is 3 hours behind Singapore. In that case must I convert 10am to 7am when I am calculating the four pillars? It is best you use your default local time. Do not make any conversions using the GMT standard. The reaons why this is so, is because:- 1. GMT timezones are very much simplified now-a-days, so frankly using GMT to subtract the timezone does not really give you the true location factor. It only influence one factor of the long. and lat. of birth. 2. Location Factor - In fact, if you really want to apply the location factor, one must logically use the actual long. and lat. of your birth place. However, even this is very flawed or will result in less accurate analysis if the information is 1 degree off. I mean realistically, how many people actually record the exact long. and lat. of when you are born? Even if you know the hospital that you are born, that does not really tell you the exact location within the hospital room that you are born. So the accuracy of such information will directly impact whether your ba zi analysis will be accurate or not. 1 degree off either the long. or lat. will give you an entirely different analysis. 3. The Ba Zi was designed in such a way that even if you do not have the hour of birth, the analysis can still be fairly accurate. This is because the luck forecast is determined by the Month pillar and Year pillar. So the hour really have little impact on that except to be able to better determine if you are a weak or strong character, and the exact balance of element percentage for you to fine tune your luck. So because of these key reasons, we do not encourage anyone to apply any GMT timezone differences, but just use the local timezone for generating reports on our website. Hope that helps. When ever I open the door i would always see the Pakua. Is this good for my family? My Main door is facing North East. Anything I could do to soften this impact. Unfortunately, a pa kua facing your house is inauspicious for you as it will create a sha qi to your home. 1. If possible, maybe have a talk with your neighbour to see if he can remove it and use other means to protect the home. ie. a round circular mirror to reflect any sha qi rather than pakua. At least a round mirror reflects the sha qi but does not create any further sha qi. A pakua will do both relect and create sha qi out. Or if there build a barrier of plants to block against any external threats. 2. Else, if not then the only way to block the pakua is to use a pakua to reflect it back. But probably nothing much you can do if your neighbour persist to use a pakua. But this will create a pakua war which doesn't create a condusive / harmonious environment for both parties involved. The best if you can find a peacefulway avoid having a pakua war. Which does not benefit either owner in the long run. Hope that helps. This has been answered many times if you had just searched the forum. The forum contain severalthousands offrequently asked topics. So most questions people asked are often answered. This is a very common and quite easy to solve by applying the give and take approach. 1) The house should most importantly be suitable to the breadwinner of the family since he/she earn most to support the family. So the breadwinner must get the best facing so as to get the most luck. 2) Since the breadwinner has luck for the house, therefore he/she can take a less suitable bedroom and make sure the spouse is can draw luck from the room. Since the two person are opposite, therefore, the house direction is likely not to suit the spouse, so letting the spouse take a more suitable bedroom will compensate her luck. 3) Since the spouse now get a good suitable bedroom, you can then give a better sleeping position for the breadwinner. 4) Although both charts are opposite, if possible try to avoid having the either person have the facing or bedroom fall under the death or disaster sector Hope that helps.
