WHICH HOUSE FACING IS THE BEST FOR US
Dear Khanh Diep Vu, khanh diep vu wrote: HELLO, I WAS BORN IN 1973 AND MY HUSBAND WAS BORN IN 1972. WOULD YOU PLEASE HELP US TO KNOW WHICH HOUSE FACING IS THE BEST FOR US. THANKS MILLIONS TIMES. You can make use of this free report to determine what is the 4 good and 4 bad directions. URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-8h.htm I am not sure if the year of birth has pass the chinese lunar year or not. If so then you should be a Li Kua where your best directions are South/East, South-East/North. While your husband is Kan Kua, which allso have the same group, but his best is North/South-East, and East/South. Since he is likely to be the breadwinner, then go for North or South-East facing. Since it is also your favourable element, I don't think you need to worry about having oposite kua. Please check your the analysis through the full report by entering your full date and time of birth. As I am basing that you are born in the lunar year of 1973/1972. If your birth date haven't pass the chinese new year, then you may have different kua number. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Kitchen Below My Bedroom
Dear Chun Da Lee, Chun Da Lee wrote: Thanks again for the god advice abaou the smoke detector, i'll immediately placing one with discussion with a fire security company. But my question still remain, does placing smoke detector change my feng shui??????? Does it correct my fengshui or do I have to do something else?????? A feng shui solution is whatever that can effectively fix the problem. So yes, the smoke detector is an effective solution to this problem. If the problem no longer exists or is minimised then of course it corrects the feng shui aspect as well. In any case, the problem you are facing isn't really one of the MAJOR feng shui problem that adversely causes big luck issue to the your. The solution suggested will correct the problem, but to have luck improvement you will need to make sure that your bedroom colour is the right colour to suit you as well as to enhance other areas of the home. Renovating the house
Dear Winnie, Chen Winnie wrote: I want to have harmony house and peaceful environment and feeing better after tiring working day and want to go back home to take nice rest and happy feeling. Why not you engage a professional interior designer/feng shui consultationto help you on creating a place you like. I think that is more suitable then just trying to do it on your own. Chen Winnie wrote: Please advise my Kua is 2 and My husband is 5, On which direction to place the bed, working table, wardrobe and toilet. If you already know your kua, then you should know that as a Kua 2, the best direction is to have your bed placed North-West/West and working table to be North-East/South-West. For a Kua 5, quite similiar West/North-West for the bed and workingt table to be South-West/North-East. For wardrobe, you don't need to check the feng shui as it is the bed and work position that you need to find the best location. As for the toilet, don't think you can do much as this is usually built along with the house. So ideally, if they can be located it should be located in any of the 4 bad directions sector. Beyond that, a detailed analysis on the actual layout plan, ba zi and flying star needs to be considered to be able to tell you more. Sometimes, it is impossible to get the best of everything so one need to know which is important and adjust accordingly. Which is why I said it is better you seek professional help to advise you. Then you won't have so much worry or drama on the renovation. Ultimately, the final result must be such that you like it otherwise, you will never feel comfortable. T intersection house facing a small cul de sac st
Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: There is a brand new rental home that we are considering renting. However, this house is situated on the end of a T intersection and faces a short cul de sac street with 6 to 8 houses. Is this a bad homefor feng shui purposes. The original owner built the house but does not want to live in it per the advise of their feng shui advisor. I can send yousome pictures if needed. I am hesitant about renting the house because my father is in poor health and I don't want this to further affect health if he moves into the house. It is best if you can look for another house. As it is never a good house if it is at the end of T intersection and faces a short cul de sac street. Always remember that the reason why the previous owner sells the place can give you some indication if the house is god or not. If it is a good house, the only reason why the owner would sell is to move to a better one. So if it is for other reasons, then often it is not a good house. So I think you should skip it and find another one. Anonymous wrote: Also, the current rental house that I am living in has astairway that ends directly at my front door. This stairway also leads directly to the upstairs bathroom. And the upstairs bathroom (toilet)directly faces my bedroomand bed. What are the effects of thesesituations, and are there any remedies? Generally, this isn't the most ideal placement for the stairs and the toilet location. If you are able to put a screen the stairway and door, this would help to block the problem you are facing. If this is not possible, then probably keeping the toilet door close and toilet seat cover down would be the most pratical way to minimuse the situation. Flying Star vs 8 Hse FS
Dear Anon, Nntp Guest wrote: Flying Star vs 8 Hse FS... which is weighing more heavier ? Each concept is meant for a specific purpose. ie. Flying Star is about the luck of the house. ie. Eight House is about how suitable you are the house. Though, it is good to go for the best house luck facing for the period, but if the house is unsuitable to you then you will not be able to get the maximum amount of luck from the house. Most importantly, you should avoid getting a house that is not Death or Disaster at least. So it is good to get the best house luck, but you should make sure that it does not fall under the Death or Disaster. This I would believe would be the best balance. So at long as the house is not Death or Disaster, then you are free to choose the best flying star otherwise. The most ideal would be the best eight house direction and best possible flying star if possible. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Kitchen Below My Bedroom
Dear Chun Da Lee, Chun Da Lee wrote: Thanks for the advice about the water sprinkler and smoke detector, but don't you think that sprinkler and detector will be alarm if put directly above the kitchen because cooking will creat a lot of heat to trigger sprinkler or detector alrm. And the most important thing is that sprinkleror detctor can correct my feng shui or is it just for safety precaution???? The smoke detector would be most practical for homes while sprinkler for any larger complex commercial type building. There are some guidelines to the best placement of the smoke detector so you should follow those guidelines when installing it. So you should not just install it over the stove, but usually some location ie a room beside the kitchenthat does not get the alarm activated falsely but yet able to detect once a real fire get out of hand. Usually the manufacture ofthe smoke detector or even a comprehensivehome security and firealarm packagecompany can give you better advise on thebest effective placement. In any case, the main problem about the kitchen below the bedroom is due to the high probability of fire. With modern technological advancement, smoke detectors is the most ideal solution to this problem. At least it will be much better than using any traditional solution such as 6 coins or bagua mirror etc. All of which will simply burn in the flames, whereas the smoke detector will give you some warning to be able to allow you to escape. birth element vs favorable elements
Dear D'Natalie, D'Natalie Smith wrote: Can someone explain to me how is it that someone with a strong metal element would need to use fire as a booster when I read that it should be earth? A strong Metal means that you are strong due to too much Earth and Metal. Therefore in general Earth and Metal are considered unfavourable. Water is the best solution to help Strong Metal given that is exhaust the excess Metal. Fire is also good because Fire destroy Metal. However, Fire is more a double edged sword as it also strengthen the Earth. Therefore, I mentioned that Water is most effective. Wood is simply wealth to Strong Metal. Therefore, in general Water, Wood, Fire are generally good. However, ultimately the percentage of the element is what you need to consider to know exactly what elements you need more or which you need less. For example if you have 40% Fire, then it means you already have quite a lot of fire, so more fire may not be good. D'Natalie Smith wrote: Since you are a strong yang Water, you don't want to be too overly strong otherwise, you will not be able to control yourself. Animal Pictures
Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Doeskeeping a picture or statueof a leopard or other wild cat carry the same significance as keeping a tiger picture or statue? When it comes to pictures, it is more the symbolic representation that matters. Ideally, you want a home to be welcoming and therefore keeping pictures of more harmonious pictures are often better. Pictures such as tiger/leopard can still be displayed but should be avoided. Or if you do wish toplace such sha qi, it should be used to counter some some poison arrow. Ultimately, it also depends on yourself. If you do feel confortable about it there should not be a major issue in displaying them. As mentioned, anything that has sha qi shuld be minimised if possible. Hope that helps. kua element and birth element
Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Based on the free Personal Ba Zi/Feng Shui Element Report that I hv received from yr website, I hv noticed that my Kua no.is 4 and wood element. Like it mentioned, Kua is 4 and the element of the Kua is Wood element. However, since Kua is based only on the YEAR of birth it does not give the most accurate breakdown of your birth element. Just like if one is born in 2006 (Earth Dog), if you based on the ba zi from the YEAR of birth then you are a Earth element. These is correct, but not the most accurate form of your true element. Depending on which day you are born, you can be a weak water/strong fire etc born in the Earth dog year. So that more exact breakdown of your element based on your day of birth is what we are more interested. Anonymous wrote: However, on the 2nd page, it stated that my Birth element isWeak Metal. So, I am rather confused - what is the difference between the Kua element and the Birth element? This portion of the analysis is the one that consider your day of birth. Therefore, this is the true personal element. In ba zi what we are looking for is the true personal element ie a weak metal person born in say a Earth Dog year. Like I mentioned, Kua number is useful as it gives you information such as 4 good and 4 bad directions, however, it is not the most accurate as it calculated from the YEAR of birth only. However, despite it's simplicity it is still one of the concpet in feng shui. You need to know which concept is important and how to prioritise them. Like I mentioned, there are several ways to determine a person's element, but the best is via the ba zi day's element. This gives the true ba zi element. Hope that helps. It is percentage that is most important as the number of each element does not really tell much as depending on seasons strengthen the element will have different percentage. What is important is you are a weak Water, and you lack more Water (2%) compared to Metal (18%). Wood, Fire and Earth are unfavourable for you. However, some portion of Wood is still acceptable for you because you have only 4% of Wood. While you should avoid Earth at all cost, followed by Fire. The idea is to have exactly 20% of each element. So those element that is too high in percentage you have as little as possible. Those with low percentage you can have more but should first cover your favourable elements first then unfavourable as last. That means you should first have Water followed by Metal, then only when you have sufficient Water and Metal then some Wood will do you good. Strong Water and Steel Buy & Sell business?
Dear Marilyn, marilyn o wrote: but does that mean we wont handle it well? because we have no choice but to inherit the business. Im a weak water, will it help if i also work in their family business? I won't really know exactly until a detailed ba zi is done for your husband. I mean I am basing my advise on information you are provided. ie your husband is a Strong Water. Which means that Favourable elements are Wood, Fire, Earth. While unfavourable elements are Metal and Water. So if based on the above, yes it is not likely that he will benefit from this kind of business. However, there are other factors that will need be considered to be able to know for sure. For example, what is the exact percentage of the elements in your husband chart? ie is the Strong water due to a higher percentage of water or metal. I mean if your husband chart is such that there is maybe 5% water and 40% Metal, then I can say for sure that Metal career won't do him much good. marilyn o wrote: if Fire is good for him, its weird he had try opening up a small restaurant before but it closed because it didnt work out. There are a lot of factors in determining success of a business:- 1. Some people are just not businessman type material, that means heis better working for others rather than starting his own business. 2. Secondly, opening restaurant is more Earth (Food industry) rather thanFire element. Like I earlier mentioned, I have no idea what is the percentage of your Metal element in your husband chart. If it is too much, then earth may not be the most ideal element for him. So far the most suitable for him should be Wood simply because Wood exhaust Water. But again, it depends on the percentage of teh five element breakdown. 3. Location, Location & Location is often the most important factor for the a success of a shop/business. If the location is bad, then it is hard for people to come even if the food is good. The rest depends on your food, pricing and target market.ie you have nice food, but you target the wrong group of people etc=high failure. Is it true my zi wei will harm my hubby
Dear Marilyn, marilyn o wrote: is zi wei the same as ba zhi? a fengshui who did our ba zhi before ( i doubt if accurate because he said my lucky element is fire while in geomancy. net my lucky elements are water and metal). anyway, he said that my ba zhi will harm my husband and so is my husband. but it is washed out because it clashed each other. Zi Wei is basically more Chinese Horoscope/Astrology. We often do not use it as part of Feng Shui analysis except for it's compatibility analysis. Thus, we even have a fun with horoscope site for this purpose. As the title Fun with horoscope means that it is more for fun. URL: http://www.lovesigns.net As for your previous master, I really do not know what method exactly did he or she use in analysing your results. I mean I have come across masters that use Eight House Kua element as your birth element. But this is only uses the YEAR of birth, so it is questionable how accurate this analysis can be. Some I seen using only Ba Zi Year of birth element (ie 2006 is Earth Dog so you are considered Earth element etc). However, in reality, different day will give you different elemnt. So like you can be a weak water or strong fire person born in Earth dog year. Thus, it is important that the day of birth be considered. Some do very preliminary ba zi chart so it is not able to deduce your weak/strong element properly. ie if the full ba zi chart isn't analysed in detail, you may find that a basic chart may be weak water, but when done in detail it is actually strong water. a weak water and strong water are two different type of chart thus having different favourable and unfavourable elements. So there are many ways to analyse your birth element. However, the most accurate method is the use of ba zi. Our website tool will give you the right deduction of your true ba zi element. So you won't go wrong if you use it. Like I mentioned, in my earlier reply to this post. There are some chart that can be considered not compatible, but often there are also ways to improve or harmonise the relationship to reduce any potential conflict. The rest depends a lot on the two persons whether they are willing to give and take to make the relation work. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Is it true my zi wei will harm my hubby
Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I visited a master recently and was told that my zi wei dou shu will harm my hubby, or what they say as "ke fu". I am very troubled over this but realised that the hour of birth given was wrong. Please advise if this is true. I am bornon 1975, 7th jan 1pm To be frank, fortune telling can be bad thing. I mean if you really believe it so much, you actually make it happen because you believe it to be true. This is why as far as our website is concerned, we never ever focused on fortune telling. I mean if a fortune teller is really that good, he won't be a fortune teller as he should be able to predict when he or she can have wealth etc. So really do not think you should worry too much furthermore information you provided was incomplete. I personally do not view much of such adverse reading such as a ke fu / die young chart etc. In any case, under feng shui especially, we believe more in understanding what is roughly your given luck, and how you can balance up your home, your relationship etc to make thing more smooth. We always believe, that if you can maximise the luck from your home, create the right environment to improve harmony, then rest depends a lot on your own effort. I mean if both of you put in the effort, you will be able to gain success and have a long and lasting relationship with the right environment. I Heard from some people said that if you have an element of wood you must avoding having kitchen below your bedroom where you sleep. Because Kitchen is an element of fire and will burn the people who sleep above it especially if that people is from wood element. Is this true??? Actually, having a kitchen below a bedroom is generally bad irregardless of what element you are. I mean whether you are a weak earth, weak wood etc. This is because, the potential of a fire starting from the ktichen is always higher. And irregardless of what element you belong too, if there is a fire you may be burned by it. It does not mean that if you are a weak earth and fire is good for you, that if there is a fire, it will not kill or burn you. So kitchen below a bedroom is ideally not good. This is true. Dear Marilyn, marilyn o wrote: which is main door? the 1st steel gate of the whole property or the wood main door of the house? Since this is a landed property, then you should take the facing of your house. ie which is the frontage of your home. Strong Water and Steel Buy & Sell business?

The only way to help balance his excess Strong water, is to have more Wood, Fire. ie staying in a Wood (East/South-east) or Fire (South)house. Renovation-Period 7 House change to Period 8 House
Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I see that some feng shui masters advise that at least the door, the stove and the floors must be renovated or changed, and then you can consider the change of a period 7 House to period 8 House. There is another symobolic luck change. ie. re-painting of the ceiling or entire house all in one go. Then having several major celebrations in the house can force the house to fly over. But the change will not be immediate. ie. if painting of the ceilling (especially) is not done in one go or only the external house was repainted. These alone will not cause the house to fly over to the new period. Most of these are considered minor repairing or touchup so it does not really change the qi. Hope that helps. placing position for Prosperity Pig with Ingots
Dear Daniel, Daniel Ho wrote: I got a Solid Bronze Prosperity Pig with Gold Ingots and Jeweled Necklace and would to place it in my office desk for Wealth Luck. True feng shui has nothing to do with items at all. It is more about good location of the home/office, favourable colour scheme to balance up the room or your individual ba zi, best sitting/work/sleeping positionetc. Thus, a person luck is affected by the Heaven, Earth and Human Luck. Heaven Luck is luck that is given to you. Which is usually assesed by the ba zi to tell you what colours, what facing, and how to harmonise with another person. Earth Luck is your home/office. The location of the home/office is what can affect your luck given luck. So this often the most important factor. Human Luck is your relationship and anything that can make you feel good etc. Such items that you mentioned Solid Bronze Prosperity Pig are more symbolic represenation of good luck. And all it affects is the Human Luck. It only makes you feel you that is about all. It does not have special power or properties. Daniel Ho wrote: I'm not sitting in a single room office, but a big room sharing other colleagues. It happened that one of the empty corner of the desk is a southeast direction. And i would to place the Prosperity Pig there. Should the Pig head be facing me, or facing away from me (looking at SE direction) So if it makes you feel you, feel free to place it where you can see it. So really, there is specific placement involved for such items. If any, it would be to have the item face you when you work so that it is like the pig is wishing you wealth luck. Generally, you can follow these principles:- 1.If the items is small, then it should face you when you work. 2. If the item is bigger and usually for the whole familiy, then you place in like display area in the good sector or facing of the house so that it is like welcoming good luck into the home for everyone. 3. You only palce items in a specific direction such as Qi Lin or Bagua to block like sha qi etc. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Each person, will have his own her own good direction, so you use that for the best direction for your own work/office position. 1. For a house - The breadwinner must have the best facing direction, then the spouse get a better bedroom. Try to ensure that at least neither facing or bedroom falls under one Death/Disaster for either person. So for example, your besthouse facingis one for example North-East (Excellent for husband, and Irritation for yourself), while a good bedrom located in East (excellent for yourself, and irritation for your husband). This way your husband get luck from the house, you get luck from the bedroom. 2. For bed placement - You should still follow the shapes and form principles, ie bed place where you can see the people entering into the room and have the bed anchored to a wall. Then if you have choice between two placement, then you can check to see which direction falls under either of your good directions while avoiding death/disaster for either person. 3. For other personal position - each of you can place the table or chair in the best direction that for individual person. If you do that, you will find the best balance for two person. As for increasing harmony etc, you will need to check on the ba zi element and find out what element is suitable to both person and try to have the bedroom colour in the common element so as to improve harmony. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Chong Fu Keong, Chong Fu Keong wrote: I am staying on the 10flr. Where do I take the reading of the compass direction. Centre of the hse facing the main door and at the centre of the door ( as seen your sample) or the balcony or living room In general, we have come up with some guidelines for the facing direction to make it easy to apply. For apartments (2nd - 7th level), you take the main door as your house facing. ie standing at the main door looking outwards. For apartments (8th level and up), you take the facing direction of the living room/balcony. ie stand inside your living room looking outwards. These two method give you facing direction which allows your flying star to be extended beyond your own home. Taking the main door from the center point is also another method, but that will mean you only assess the qi for the interior of the house only. So each is for different purpose. So you should just take the facing from the living room/balcony, depending on which has greater among of light entering the house since you are on 10 floor. Mostly it will be living room as that is where most light enters into the house for high floors. For those with a separate living room and balcony, then will need to see the layout plan to be able to confirm. Chong Fu Keong wrote: As my main door entrance is my dinning area, where else my living are hardly used window are close most of the time and balcony are open and also the dry yard. Is my dinning area a good location ? I believe most aparments now-a-days you will either see the dining area or living room once you enter the door. So not a big issue. As for whether the dining area is good, depends on the flying stars in that sector. Chong Fu Keong wrote: Why some FS said youcannot sleep in the direction that you are not aware of people coming in ? This is becase the reason why most bed should be place where you can see people entering in the room is to be able to react when there is thief entering into the room. Especially, in the past if you have the bed away, when someone wants to enter to assinate you, you will be able to see him coming to be able to react. At least this was how this theory was used for. In any case, this is still good to follow even in modern layout. Chong Fu Keong wrote: Is the cooker above the toilet OK ? even I have box up. How to remedy ? How about open shoe rack beside the main door. Don't get what you mean here a cooker above the toilet? You mean you put a cooker in the toilet? I mean a toilet is deemed to have most germs in the house, so why would you want to put a cooker in the toilet? As for the open shoe rack, it is ok as long as it is looks need any tidy. I mean there must be some place to organise the shoe. So it is fine even if it is open. However, to look nice and tidy, it is best that it is a covered shoe rack if possible. Of course, for frequently used shoes, it is fine to have some opened shoe rack for those. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
