  1. Hi, Like Cecil has mentioned, he Grand Duke in his opinion is like a Chinese superstition or culture. The only Feng Shui related reason for the Grand Duke is because of its astrological representation. Basically Jupiter is the largest star and it is thus has a great magnetic influence over the rest of the stars especially when they get close. Thus, because of this principle, it was termed as part of Feng Shui under the Flying Star because the Flying Star is also based on magnetic influence. It is supposed to represent that when a Grand Duke in there, the magnetic influence is affected, thus if you offend it, it is like disturbing the already disturbed magnetic force in that area. Other stars are not considered why because they are too far or too small to have much influence. Also, the reason that not many masters discuss much about this also signifies that the birth of this theory was more of a believe. But due to a little astrology which is common for Zi Wei Dou Shu (Chinese Astrology), this was considered part of Feng Shui under Flying Star. However, this matter is a debatable issue due to the fact that the star how great is pretty far away, so the influence cannot be that great after all. But, due to many incidents in the past relating to this Grand Duke Theory, many Chinese often believe that it is better to believe than to ignore. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
  2. Hi, Unfortunately, the romance star is not necessary present in all Pillars Chart. It is not determined by the birth element unlike the wealth deity. Thus, I cannot tell you want is the reomance element until the chart is drawn up. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
  3. Dear Wendy, Apologise for the late response, please see below:- Based on Eight House theories, there is very little change or fixes that you can apply. The only thing which I can suggest is that if you are staying in your bad locations sector, what you can do to minimize it is to make sure that you sleep facing your good sectors, that way, you can reduce the influences. Well, you cannot force someone to believe something. Just make "reasonable" changes especially those with good reasons. You know many Feng Shui advices are normally very environmentally friendly. Well, I guess that is a growing up phase which is cannot be explained by Feng Shui. So long as you feel comfortable at the moment, I don't think you need to worry much. Unless you are facing lots of difficulties or health related problems, I think it should be ok. You should be more concerned with it if you have problems, otherwise best to leave it alone. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

  5. Dear Ber Cardor, Apologise for the late response. Please read below:- The Talent number is supposed to represent at which stage of your life number will you be mature. The Life number is supposed to represent your lucky number and your natal number based on your date of birth. There are actually a lot of analysis that can be done with these numbers, however, give the time for my development, I only had time to prepare the basic analysis. However, generally I recall putting in some brief description for what the numbers represents. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

  8. Hi, Apologise for the late response, as you can see we were busy with a major face-lift of the site. My meaning of a the binding element is the element which smooth the relationship between two different elements. For example a strong wood, and a weak earth person is likely be comfortable with each other if they are in constant contact with fire element. Thus, fire is considered the binding element. This is because without fire, the strong wood would destroy the weak earth. Thus not compatible to stay together. However, with the introduction of fire, the strong wood would be weaken to produce fire (which is good for strong wood person) at the same time the strengthened fire would strengthen the weak Earth. Thus, both would benefit from this. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

  10. Hi, Please read below:- Actually, how fast a cure works depends on many situations, eg. the current luck of this year of a person, and how much other complications. We have seen cures work within a few days to several weeks, and for very difficult situation may be several months. It varies from person to person as mentioned above. These are BTB Feng Shui which normally incorporates some religious aspect, such asth the BTB buddish sect, which chant mantra. Not needed nor necessary for Traditional Feng Shui. Generally, the cures you have mentioned are mostly BTB type practices or using only Feng Shui practices based on static model. I will only comment on the unique cases. Normally we do not recommend such cures. Even if they are really cures for static Feng Shui model. Not true. If you do this, you are already putting too much (overdoing it). Normally, one specific and simple cure is enough. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
  11. Hi, Please read below:- Yes, that analysis breaks down the problem to the related element suitable to solve this problem. This actually means that you can make use of elements recommended to cure that location. It is not possible to put in all the various type of cures because each location is specific. What if Wood is recommended, but in your pillars you are a strong wood, thus, another alternative may be necessary. So by leaving it there, it allows for more interpretation and comparision. If you are uncertain you can always post a message to us for help. Basically, by leaving it to basic element, you can use any of what you have mentioned or suggested by the Five Element Cures report. These are normally the type of cures you can use. Just take note that normally one or two of the cures will do. Do not over-use. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
  12. Hi, The wealth element is determined by the ten deities, but the romance element is defined by the symbolic stars which are both available in the report. Normally a person, if he has a romance stars, is said to be able to encounter a romance 1 in every 12 years. During this period if the romance is good for him, he would likely meet someone who he is able to correspond with quite well (not necessarily leading to marriage). Otherwise, if the romance star is unfavourable, it could mean that you may meet up with an unfavourable event with regarding relation which could lead to maybe break up or lost of wealth due to romance. Hope that help. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
  13. Hi, Please read below:- Normally, it should be such that they can draw strength from each other or simply use a binding element to smooth the relationship. However, you should also take note that due to education and modern society, there are also other ways such as counselling which a couple could take up in order to reduce conflicts. So far, most of what I see is that no matter what kind of combination, so long as a proper binding element exists, the relationship is often good. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
  14. Hi, Please read below:- Generally, you have at 5 elements you are considered a well-balance person as opposed to one with missing or too much of a certain element. Normally, if a person as too many missing or too much of a certain element, you tend to find that the person is bound to face some kind of challenge in his life. Eg, if too much of a certain element could result in the person being sick if he is staying in his unfavourable elements. Or some may find that they are always lacking in something. However, that does not mean that the chart is good or not. Whether a person's chart is good or not depends on his luck pillars. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
  15. Dear Glyn, Please read below:- It is the bad side of intelligence which is often affected by emotional constraints or feeling. You know that such emotion can sometimes make a person do foolish things such as blind love, etc. Similarly when you have such deities, it is suppose to mean that you have to beware not to let your emotion take control of your thinking or let others affect your thinking etc. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
  16. This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0011_01BEC7F5.F9C8E480 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi Everyone, Here are some tips which I personally feel should be useful to most users:- 1. Don't do too many things at once. True Traditional Feng Shui Masters who do audits will normally do a thorough analysis and provide advise. Usually, their advise is based on the Five Elements Concept / Yin and Yang. Usually, at a certain location, if there is ever a need to neutralise a sha or make enhancements, there are usually `focused' cures to the location. You will notice that the FS Master will not at once ask you to place 3 plots of plants here, hang 2 wind chimes etc.... Why is this so? Look at how Customer Service Engineers at reputable companies e.g. IBM does troubleshooting. They try to isolate the problem. For example, if there is an `intermitten' fault, they do not simply do all things at once. They may replace a circuit card and monitor the situation. Feng Shui is `of course' not like this to an expert Feng Shui Master. What I am referring is to those who use Feng Shui i.e. Do it yourself like most of the users who have read books and want to implement something maybe due to their six sense etc... and those who do not rely on analytical methods like Flying Star.. Try to do what I have mentioned especially for those who do trial and error Feng Shui. 2. If you hire a " Feng Shui " practioner, you have the right to ask the Practioner for the reason for doing something. For example if he/she asks you to place a fish tank at a location. You have the right to question why particularly more so if the fish tank or wind chimes etc.. are provided by the Practioner. Usually, if the practioner is unable to relate the reason properly using the Five Elements concept, it is considered suspect. You are better off, paying the practioner for the time and effort and say bye bye to them. In a past message, I mentioned that in the Far East particularly in Singapore, Malaysia, Feng Shui practioners usually do not call their Company XYZ Feng Shui but rather a general term like ABC Geomancy, XYZ Geomancy Services etc... The reason is clear: Even in countries where there is a strong belief in Feng Shui, most FS Practioners cannot make a living simply on Feng Shui alone. They must be able to provide Pillars of Destiny analysis, providing a name for a child, some do Feng Shui in and around and some provide Yin Feng Shui or Feng Shui for the dead. In addition, these people are skilled in Chinese Astrology i.e. inclusive of face reading and palmistry and other divinity methods. What more can we say about Feng Shui outside, Hong Kong and the Far East. Usually when one is contacted to do a FS audit especially in my country, the fee is fixed and the FS Master does not bring along wind chimes etc.. to sell and make more out of the owner. If there is a need to buy an item, the householder is advised to go to anywhere they choose to buy one. Maybe it is easily available over here. Perhaps, I cannot blame if these are provided overseas where it is harder to purchase. This is why, you have to be careful of who you engage. Hope the above helps. 17. Hi, Please read below:- You are welcome:) Actually for Eight House, you don't have to worry so much about proper superimposing. Just use the eight directions and take the center of each level. For Eight House, I find that the Pie method rather than the nine square method is easier to use. The Pie method is to have 45 degree angle for every direction starting from the center. If you use this method, you need not worry about having two sets of layout. Also it clearly tell you the direction whether good or bad. If you have a choice, try to locate in a better room, and try to face in one of the better directions, avoid the death and disaster. But of course, this is not as accurate as the Flying Star which can actually tell you if there are inauspicious influence involved. Without that, you have to use a little of your personal instinct, such as whether you feel comfortable. Most important, you feel comfortable and there are no sha qi occurring from any of the environment while you are sleeping. That should be fine. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
  18. Hi, Please read below:- I personally feel that the standard rectangular shape or circular shape is still the best shape for desk. Half circular shapes or irregular shapes may cut or radiate or like a knife which cuts out to whoever is visiting. If anyone any other comments, feel free to add. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
  19. Hi, Please read below:- Under the shapes and forms theory, if you cannot see it is not a problem. So under this theory, I personally feel that you do not really need to worry. However, for safety reasons, I think that you should still make sure it is safe enough to go into the basement without any mishap. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
  20. Hi, Please read below:- Basically, yes I personally agree that circle is very strong shape. However, in terms of Feng Shui, if the building is circular, there is this possibility that you will have missing corners from the shapes and form school. In Feng Shui, the best shapes for houses is rectangle or square shapes, because if you look at it is easier to layout your home furniture in rectangle shape houses rather than odd shaped houses. If anyone has anymore to add, feel free to add to this topic. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
  21. Hi, Please read below:- Sorry, without the details, it is pretty difficult to guess why he installed a huge metal globe at the traffic junction. There are many reasons for it, some on Feng Shui and others too. However, as we don't not know much about it, we cannot really comment on it. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
  22. Hi, Please read below:- Again, this is a Chinese religious belief. For the Chinese, there are many "gods" or more appropriate "deities or fairies". You see in the Chinese due to many novels etc, Chinese believe in the various deities or fairies are originally some person who in his life time done something significantly great, thus, in future generations the Chinese began to worship them as a sort of symbol. Kitchen god is one of them. However, I have not really tell you that story, as I have not read on it, maybe you can look it up in the library. But in terms of Feng Shui, the kitchen is often regarded as an important place also, due to the fact that it represents the creation of the food which feeds the family. The most important thing you need to know related to stove or sink, which you can do a search in this forum for a detailed explanation by Cecil in previous messages. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
  23. Hi, Please read below:- This means that if you are water and fire is your wealth, if you are a strong water and constantly with an environment or job which represents fire, you are likely to be successful and wealthy! But only if you are strong enough to take advantage of it! Deity is like a god which for the Pillars presents some helping stars. It is represented by the 5 elements of which there is a direct, and indirect version of each element. For example, direct wealth and indirect wealth. This means that direct wealth is wealth you obtain from your hard work. As for indirect wealth are wealth such as inheritance or winning lottery etc. Bone is a term use by the Personal Stars. It is just use to describe that for example in the exterior which is represented by say you are born in the year of a rabbit, but you happen to have bones which are related to dragon. This means that although you are a rabbit, you will inherit some dragon characteristics. Stem i believe you are referring to the heavenly stem. Pillars if you look at it is like a tree. The heavenly stem represents like the top of the tree while the earthly branches which is your base or roots. Anyway, they are just fancy terms used by the Pillars or San Shi theory to explain your destiny. Normally, you do not need to be so concerned with it. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
  24. Hi, Please read below:- Generally, you still can, but not advisable if your situation is such that you have too much of water. What you should try to do is reduce the influence. However, please do not take it the wrong way or go to the extreme. Lets say that even if you are considered a Strong Water, does that mean that you cannot have metal? Remember that Feng Shui is about balance, and it is best to have a little of everything. This means that if in your Pillars you find that you do not have any Earth, then you should still try to create some earth by wearing some earthly colour or use Fire to produce what you lack. Why should you still have some unfavourable elements? If you have done a full Pillars, you will notice that there are 10 deities, these 10 deities are actually represented by the five elements, of which 5 is direct version and the other 5 is indirect type of deities. Say if you are a water element, but you do not have any fire. This means that you will lose out because you will never have any wealth deities in your favour. Instead, if you another person has a perfect balance pillars, he will enjoy help from the every deities, and that is good, because whatever he wants to do, he can make use of the influence of the related deities:) This is what I meant when I always say that you have to try to enhance yourself. If you can bring yourself in balance, you will enjoy a great deal from the various elements:) Only then could you really be lucky, successful and wealthy. This is why Pillars of Destiny which deduced your heavenly luck is a very useful chart. Without knowing it, you will not be able to harness the best of your destiny. However, it is often the use of these various tools together that you can harness the best Feng Shui for your life and home! Hope that helps:) Warmest Regards Robert Lee
  25. Hi, Please read below:- This is a very good question:- Whether a tragic event would happen or not, depends very much on how bad the situation is. You see how tragic events happens is when there is a compounded series of sha qi which is working against a person. Say for example, in his Pillars if he is destined that during a certain year, events in the environment does not favour him. In addition, his house has an inauspicious star which flies into the sector. Which again does not favour him. Also, maybe there are some shapes and form influences which also bring in additional sha qi. If say under this situation, a bad event is bound to happen. Unless of course, the person takes correct corrective measure for his house, his own personal destiny and the sha qi from the shapes and forms. However, what these cures would do is to greatly reduce the influence, given that he is still in a unfavourable year, what would happen is that he may not be able to avoid it, but instead get the best out of it. This is way, sometimes, no matter how you try to cure it does not work effectively. It is because you are destined to have to go through that disaster. You see, sometimes you see Feng Shui Masters in the past, predict that so and so would not live past certain age, and indeed that is what happen. This is because a person's destiny has a great influence on a person. And in the past it is pretty difficult to fight against the odds. However, in modern times, some of these can be avoided or reduced (at best). It is often not really possible to get rid of it completely. Thus, if a proper audit was done, what might have been changed is that the extend of the difficulties which a person might face is greatly reduce and possibly avoided. It can be totally avoided if he is in a good period under the Pillars, but may not be avoided if he is in a bad period. A good Feng Shui Audit or reading is not that simple. However, I am sad to say that we have seen many cases where the practitioner are not doing Feng Shui for helping others but rather to make more money for themselves. Often we have seen that practitioner with this attitude ask their "clients" to buy tons of unnecessary crystal, wind chimes, mirrors and more! And the result after placing those items, the owner does not feel comfortable and in fact disaster strikes one after another because the "so call cures" in fact make it worse. Why is it so it happen when I got a Practitioner did a home audit? 1. Yes, possible the practitioner did a flawless Flying Star. Or maybe he only use a Eight House or his own personal intuition. However, many times, without looking a person's life, such as the birth element, cures used for curing the sector can do adverse harm if it does not suit the home owner. For example, if the home owner is a strong wood, then the cures implemented are adding lots of plants, these would cause the owner to be further strengthened, and instead of curing the sector, the owner may find that he fall sick frequently and many disaster will strike one after another due to compounded effects of cures. 2. The practitioner sometimes want to make quick bucks so tell you you need to buy a several fish tank, fountains, crystals, etc. And you end up with putting a wind chime in each sector of the houses, and find that when you are done, you have more then 10 crystals, 8 wind chimes etc. And it cost a bomb. But instead of getting good results you get disaster after disaster. And lots more reasons to that. Personally, we feel sorry for the clients who had been affected by such a "unethical practice". But as to the question whether a disaster could be avoid, the answer is very likely. But proper cures has to be done, and it is a series of cures rather then a single cure which can reduce or avoid the disaster. What can be learnt from this? A good Feng Shui solution is not difficult but in order to assess a home properly, many aspect has to be taken in, and only with experience can a problem be identified and cured. Thus, we normally do not recommend any "fast food feng shui". Remember, Feng Shui is very powerful, and if done wrongly can be disastrous. So be careful about applying cures which you know very little about. As the saying goes " little knowledge is can be very dangerous ". Hope it helps:) Warmest Regards Robert Lee
