1. There are four blocks in this development: 588A, 588B, 588C and 588D. 2. Each block has two units that directly face the car-park and parallel to Ang Mo Kio Street 52. These apartments based on Streetdirectory map (onemap.sg) is at 15 degrees facing. 3. The rest of the units or stacks either face 154 degrees and/or 195 degrees. 4. This is based on the street directory map + protractor method. 5. All street directory maps be it digital or satellite maps are all based on geographic North or TRUE NORTH. 6. In Singapore; one need not compensate for the Magnetic North deviation or delination. As the TRUE NORTH is for Feng Shui purposes equal to the Magnetic North. 7. Often, prior to going to do a on-site survey; I will prepare a layout such as shown in the attachment. 8. For this four blocks, it can be clearly seen thru the outline that probably, there are three facing directions: 15 degrees or 154 degrees or 195 degrees. 9. This reading will be matched with the on-site reading using the Luo pan and the various compass in one's arsenal. 10. I find that this is a productive and efficient method of preparation; prior to the first visit or survey. 11. The alternative for such new developments is to obtain the siteplan in the sales brochure and manually match the protractor and measure the degrees off it!

These photos were taken from The Livia condo. Especially Block 61 and 63 in The Livia, has units that will slowly have their views blocked by the blocks shown, here and vice-versa. These uncompleted blocks are those from the Under-Construction: NV Residences in Pasir Ris. The curved rounded exterior of the NV Residences reminds me of all those 1950's to 1960's "rounded" smooth corners buildings... specifically the Cathy Building in Dolby Ghaut area. One good thing about the rounded exterior of such (NV Residences blocks) is that they will unlikely to post a poison arror or sha qi to neighbouring blocks and homes...

Frankly, in my opinion, the river is running parallel to your home. And your home is furthest away from the river. Secondly, I understand it is a very dirty river as nearly all rubbish goes into it. But think about it; this river is not 1 km or 2 km or even 5 km's in length. It has tributaries and this river is in terms of British term "bloody long!". This Klang river is hell of a long. And many developments are even close to the fringe of it. In fact, all rivers today, in Malaysia hell of a dirty. Imagine all those night hawker stalls draining off their pollutants into it. This is Malaysia's standard of river. In Singapore, 30 to 50 years ago is like that. For a major river, large concentration of population; don't expect it to be clear for sure...

1. In hokkien prawns or "hei" alone is fine. 2. But added with other nonsense words = Kiao hei bee = Die like a shrimp (all curled up) 3. Another famous hokkien saying is " Wu Hu are Hei are Ho"; So long as got fish or prawns is OK. 4. So, "hei" on it's own phoentic sounding in Hokkien is technically ok. But when made into a string of words as mentioned under para 2 is no good. But under Para 3, is ok or fine.

Frankly, Feng Shui is about the bigger picture. For example, if the location is identified to be a "water wealth location"; a fish tank is full of water. And how much weight or volume those mini prawns are? Onemust also consider the lifespan of the prawns and any maintenance if any.

1. In my opinion, this is a very long snaking river that is from East (K L) flowing west towards the mouth of the river close to the Port Klang area. 2. It is good that this river has a high river bank. 3.In my opinion, should generally be OK. In fact along the large stretch of this river; there are tributories and it is a pretty long river. And along the river there are lots of development. 4. Quite exclusive area. 5. South facing from now to 2023 is OK or better than your neighbour's North facing home.

1. In Singapore which is at the equator, the geographic north is very close (or equal to) the magnetic north. 2. If your condo is fairly new (less than 10 years old); most likely, the siteplan is still available from the sales brochure or on the internet. Your readings often differ due to magnetic influence from steel structures embedded in the columns and even floorings. 5. Alternatively you may take compass readings from the exterior; e.g. grass area (provided there are no remants of steel or metal somewhere hidden.) 6. In your case, based on the most yang qi: you should use the compass readings standing inside each room looking out of the rooms or standing inside the living room looking outwards. 7. The only pity is all your readings are diverse. 8. If you are using a iphone 4 compass then try to set to TRUE NORTH vs MAGNETIC NORTH (for those in the equator only). If you don't live near the equator e.g. in the United States of America; better set to the Magnetic North.

These are some considerations: 1. Under symbolism in Feng Shui, instead of hanging mirrors and faceted crystal balls; in traditional Feng Shui; a hulu or bottle gourd is often used, instead. 2. As mentioned in many previous messages; usually; in general bad Feng Shui arise when a home has three or more major "leaks". 3. Often, although the toilet is considered as ONE major leak; often it is the combination of this leak plus two or more major leaks (or a combination of several minor leaks into one).

In your orginal layout plan, assuming that one often turns on the air-con; the bed and (bed-head - body) is very close to the air-con vents. 3. Thus, because of the air-con, the bed has been moved. Of course, because of the new location of the sofa, make sure that air-con vents don't blow directly towards it. 4. If you maintain the original layout plan, then one may like to Cabinet / three doors with the TV console. As it is more natural to see TV in that position.

Usually for a west group, of course SW to West to NW forms a continous range. Thus for practical reasons, if the bedroom is small or tiny, could face these range instead of tilting.

These are some considerations: 1. True North All streetdirectory maps be it printed or on soft-copy are based on True North (Geographic North). Even google GPS maps that we download and use are also based on true north. 2. If one is at or close to the equator, the angle of difference between True North and Magnetic North or this angle is called declination is slight. 3. Those professional compass, like my favourite i.e. brand Suunto has land-compass that are grouped into 5 regions. At the equator (or equator) use; the Number is 3. 4. In many of the past forum messages, I had posted especially at the equator, one can use a streetdirectory, super-impose the protractor and match the "facing direction" of a home with it. 5. At the equator or in Singapore; Iphone 4's compass has two settings: True North and Magnetic Compass. 5.1. If one tries to use the Iphone 4's compass to take a reading inside the home, it is preferred to set to TRUE NORTH. This is because, majority of Singapore homes are built of bricks and cement with steel re-bar. And if one is too close to a pillar, the readings may be inaccurate. 5.2. Please note that even if one is not close to the support beams or walls, many homes or apartments also have steel wires or steel re-bars that line each of the floors. And if one is standing above steel "cage like" structures, the readings may be inaccurate. 6. Thus to use the streetdirectory + protractor + match the interior layout to it and then plot it onto a layout plan i.e. the compass cardinal points and look into each room compass directions. 7. If the Iphone Luopan application has option to use True north or magnetic north; in Singapore, close to the equator, one can use the True North indoors. But if one is further north, the futher one is north or south, then the declination error rate is high. 8. Thus if at the North Pole, the TRUE geographic North can differ from the Magnetic north by at least 500 kms!

1.It is always best to beclear. 2. Under Flying Star Feng Shui,it is about compass directions. 3. For example, maybe to you; you are clear about the"right" side. 4. To me,I would consider the median point of the home and to the right side can be vast: NE,East and SE. 5. While the left side of North can have NW, West and SW. 6. It is preferred not to have the kitche at NW: if you do call this the LEFT side. 7. With such a hazy term call RIGHT side (or even LEFT) side... it's anyone's guess. 8. Even for a trapezoid shaped home, make sure that the top-view profile of the home is as rectangular as possible.

What you mentioned sounds logical. However, since many herbs comes or derive there nourishment from the soil (earth); some may associate it with earth. Overall, a tradition Chinese practitioner often can be associated with the wood element. Again, there is no absolute right or wrong answers.

Yesterday, went for an appointment, near-by. This food stall (operated by a mainland Chinese) in the Midview Building at Bukit Batok has the signage that says " Everyone OK kitchen".

It is good that you have understood the major concepts. And re-adjusted the center-of-gravity by not taking into consideration the veranda. This good. As for the internal changes; generally you have acceptable understanding of the concepts. As far, as this forum goes, firstly we don't go deep into the internal organs especially just looking on a very rough sketch. There are things like doors, windows, purely the actual layout. Therefore, it is up to you to try and maximize or work out the layout based on all the concepts that you had understood.
