  1. In GENERAL (using the eye-ball method - quick visual look only):- 1. Without considering other factors: position marking in RED "A" should be the better choice. While marking "B" is/could/may bethe next best choice. There are other limited choices but these two are often considered asthe better ones:- 2. Provided, there is no beam above marking A. Or marking A area is shared with the shoe cabinet;etc... 3. While marking in PURPLE "C" is out because it is sharing the same wall as the toilet. Thus for this layout, quite limited in the areas to place an altar.
  2. If we go by the standards of Heaven; yes, Lawyers and Politicians should be considered as belonging to the FIRE element. As in the eyes of GOD; they should burn in hell
  3. Further to what I had mentioned; 1. If your photo does show that it was taken from inside the main door looking out; so far, there does not seem to be any threat - in that photo. So, in my opinion; so far, no need a bagua mirror to be hang say above the door. (Anyway, the photo is angled to the floor: can't see higher to make further comments). 2. If this photo is not taken inside the main door looking out... then there is "educational" value in this photo. 3. The attached illustration: shows that if a proper photo has to be taken; it should be standing say inside the main door looking out or standing inside the window of a home looking outwards...
  4. Thanks for the photo. But most likely you may have mis-interpreted what I had wanted. As seriously; this photo showing the side of the drive-way is of no value; at all.
  5. Please refer to my very first reply. Go get yourself a geomancer to look at it. Why get a geomancer? One can't just write loads of text and hope that someone else can understand what you are saying... Frankly, your all text postings are ambigious and subject to the DANGER of mis-interpretation. Furthermore, there are no photos etc.. Thus who knows what the "buddha" statue may look like. Thus, since you are so overly concerned about the issue, go get a geomancer, please. Posting such things here in an all text format is like the BLIND, leading the BLIND.
  6. A buddha figurine is always a benign figure. Calm and composed not threatening. Making your case of a neighbour's home's buddha seem like a pussy cat! Take a look at the pictures! There is a huge buddha and some of the residents say "thankfully" it is guarding their apartment located in Block 82, CityLights condo; Jellicoe Road. You mean, tit-for-tat? That means, the few hundred over residents in each of the apartment will mimick your idea of placing a buddha statue to counter it? Frankly, it ain't no altar or meant for prayers' please. So what is the real threat? As mentioned, I have seen lots of westerners in Singapore and in the region; purchasing many buddha head and placing them all over their home. So, is this a threat?
  7. Look at it this way: you have an altar and a Taoist diety statue. This implies that you are "praying". However, there are many (many) who place a buddha statue but this is NOT an ALTAR? Many place a buddha statue or buddha statues as decorative items. And so far, how often does one see someone praying to the buddha statue. Unfortunately, if you really want to know why the neighbour placed a buddha statue at their balcony; you have to face up and see whether you dare to approach or not. There are lots of people who place a buddha statue everyone. In their garden, in the roof top garden etc... Frankly, you ask me also no use. If you want to place a buddha figurine just because the Jones place one.. really it is your call. Overall, to many it is simply a "decorative" item... and it ain't no altar of sorts...
  8. Frankly, lines of text is very difficult to comprehen or understood correctly. Furthermore, things like where to place a buddha statute, here or there. Since a home is a huge investment; why don't you get a geomancer to do a on-site "Can or cannot buy" review?
  9. 1. Frankly, look at it this way; just look around your home. 2. For example, no home unless it is a sterlie home can claim that it has "few colours". 3. For those with a family e.g. husband and wife and a kid or child; would see a myraid of colours in the home! 4. This is same as a career! 5. In the past; we may relatively say that a butcher is a butcher. And a soldier a soldier. 6. Nowadays, e.g. in a so called 3G army in Singapore; you even see soldiers flying those unmanned plane. 7. Thus, why limit to tunnel vision? Or one size fits all sort of thing? 8. Can't a career be or have multi-elements? 9. Thus; in fact, you may ask 10 Fung Sway experts; and each will give you different answers! 10. In the realistic world (not a theoritical world); jewellery making boilds down to two elements:- 11. The Industry she is in = METAL element 12. While as a jewellery MAKER; the interface to create = Fire as fire needs to melt the jewellery. 13. If sheis just part of the productionprocess; then one has to use the Management studies term; under the topic Strategic Management:- 14. Thus, her career is: INDUSTRY = METAL PRODUCING A WORK = FIRE (HER TOOL) 15.But think again; if she is a designer of an art-work; thus give her some metal e.g. be it gold or purple gold etc. and she comes up with a beautiful work of ART? Why can't I call her a creator of an artwork. And under the Five elements concept = WOOD. 16. Frankly, there isno right or wrong answers, (Please). And neither one or theother expert isabsolutely right or wrong! It is how her career has being interpretted! 17. Given that there can be a loose interpretation of her career? 18. Don't you thinkthat it would be wonderful if someone says "I have the passion" for Jewellery making (careless of what others interpret for ME?). 19. Realistically, if one wakes up and don't feel like going to work everyday.. careless if that job specsis suited to my ba zi? 20. If I am now in Tokyo pondering over this..I would instead quickly like others take aflight back to Singapore! At least, I am doing something productive in my life.. Instead of trying to find the "right answer".Really unproductive...
  10. I must say having seen many of Mary Porta's documentary show on reviving high street shops in UK; must say she is really fantastic! In my opinion; one of the very best trouble-shooter around...(in the field of marketing management!) around! Wow! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Portas http://www.maryportas.com/ http://tv.blinkx.com/show/mary-queen-of-shops/5AregBjvs9214pbx P.S. The morale of the story? Feng Shui is not a cure-all! For all business ailments! Take her cue!
  11. Frankly, try to make an effort to do a Search. In fact, these resources have just been posted recently:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=29335&new= http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=29137&new= I am sure, at least; it is more useful than regurgitating the eight house reports of the two of you in this forum.....
  12. These are some of the considerations: 1. Are you able to like... forget ever seeing all the resources on your career choice? 2. And since you are a recent graduate; most important follow your passion? 3. Do take note that in the past a butcher is a butcher; a merchant is a merchant. 4. Today, jobs can be classified into multi-levels:- 4.1. For example: one level is the industry one is in. 4.2. The next level is one's main job function. 5. Thus, an example is although teaching belongs to the wood element; perhaps; one could be teaching one of the disciplines relating to say earth and/or marketing. 6. If your specialization is non-of-the above under Para 5; then my suggestion to you is forget that you have ever seen or read anything relating to this subject. Thus, please GOTO Para 1, above!
  13. This muslim shrine is behind a row of shop-house in the Tanjong Pagar area. Wow! This muslim shrine is there since 1891. And engraved are the words "Shrine of Sharifah Rogayah". And it looks like it has been taken care of! And someone or a group of persons still pay their respects as flowers still line the tomb... A search in the internet yield some resources and one of the several links shows:- http://www.spi.com.sg/spi_files/sharifah_rogayah_shrine/main00.htm
  14. This is a very good signage "We buy junk and sell antiques. Some fools buy and some fools sell"... Previously, I took a photo of the back of the shop.. here goes the frontage!
  15. I can offer two words: 1. Commensense. 2. No-hard-or-fast-rule.
  16. Please note that there already several articles relating to what "5 types of fruits" implies. For example, I did a simple search for five types of fruits..please go read-up more this link.... http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=27999&new= I am sure since you are interested this 5 types of fruits thing, then ..... If no stove; then place it on the floor of the kitchen. Either in the middle of the kitchen OR roughly an idea of where you would want to have the stove and place it on the floor.
  17. Given that if there is a "water star" #8 at NE; have mentioned; not appropriate to use water at the back of that home. The emphasis was: clear space and keep the place bright and airy. And in some instances can be an activity area e.g. on the 2nd level or 3rd level (if there is one).
  18. If you are a Singaporean, no need to look at this! If you have ever been to Singapore; or have yet to come and visit Singapore; then; Do take note that when one sees a packet of tissue paper on a vacant dining table or several packets of tissue paper infront of each seat; the tissue paper(s) are not FREE! It simply means that someone has "reserved" the seat! So don't ever take that "vacant" seat! Nor think that that tissue paper packet is FREE!
  19. This Chinese religious home has a highly decorated frontage. With a Tee Kong (Earth god) figurine and altar on the floor. Did you see the Earth God (Tee Kong) - wearing yellow clothing? Look closely at attachment: my home5.jpg Perhaps, there are two items missing: two lanterns on each side of the main door and/or a red "Ang Cai" banner above the main door entrance!
  20. As most of us are aware of the holy trinity of luck; I am sure as a loving parent you have taken as much effort in your son's human or man luck factors. As for his environment, I suppose, where he spents most of his time, this is his earth luck or Feng Shui. This is equally important as some sectors may have some Feng Shui issues; and often bazi or Heaven Luck is used to try to improve and harmonize with the earth luck. This is apparently unknown, here.
  21. It is good that you mentioned that you already have a "mountain" at thee frontage. I had also mentioned that there are all kinds of water. One kind is CLEAR space andd bright and airy. Yet, you keep on talking about real water. If not sure, re_read the above and my last message, please.
  22. Yeap, like her soon to be husband says, not everyone is superstitious about getting married in the same year, especially muslims.
  23. Attached is an interesting flow-chart of responsibilites... In Asia, it is very common to have the type of flow-chart reflected on the right of this illustration. In Europe or West; the typical Developer works with the Main Architect.
  24. 1. Frankly, there are two kinds of Feng Shui: those relating to authentic ones.. and there is another category known as Bull-shit ones where many sell commercial products. 2. Feng Shui is very popular today; may not be as prevalent in Europe; but is now very popular even in the US and re-exported back to an "open China". 3. I strongly belive the rounding of edges "AIN"T gona help!" Seriously in my opinion; you got to stop the "itch" and go back to the traditional row upon rows of how houses or villas should look like. 4. Don't try to be the hero and re-invent the wheel 5. Frankly, to you even if houses are percieved far away from each other; unfortunately; you are not the pay-master! This is the difference between your perception of a distant porcupine or porcupines... Again, even how far the procupines are; don't test the ground... sure guaranteed to FLUNK great time! 6. In addition; this is another cultural lesson; most "Chinese or Chinese related" clients don't ever say things directly. Many don't tell you in the FACE... especially if the layout plan goes ping pong diplomacy; you should get the HINT!
  25. These are some considerations:- 1. In my opinion; although your concept can be applauded as it allows "staggered" greenery; but from a External Shapes and Forms Feng Shui; it is a "time-bomb" or there are lots of porcupine needles. 2. Here, under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, the edge of a building is suppose to act like a poison arrow aimed towards it's neighbour. 3. For example, there are simply too many "porcupines" or spikes; thus randomly; you can see "sha qi" or poison arrows in RED aimed from the edge of a building towards it's neighbour. 4. For example, take the look at the slanted club-house; it is at an angle; where the edge of the corner seems to point directly towards a neighbour home. 5. Frankly, there are just too many of these "porcupines"; thus, I just simply marked a few out of a "ton" of them. 6. No wonder; your masterplan unfortunately gets the "boot!'. It will not pass! 7. Personally, I have done so many masterplan and in the attachment is one of the many I done for Vietnam. 8. And yes, although the townhouses and residential homes and villas are in rows upon rows.. this is a very common feature! In the attached PDF, the terrace and semi-detached homes are in an orderly arrangement. Originally; the developer also had something like your porcupine layout... 9. Your proposal is something like this:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=29103&new= There is an illustration of a home that sticks out like a sore-thumb amongst standard rows of flat. 10. I am afraid; this should be bea culture shock of sorts for you. Your master plan; thus cannot pass under the "Shapes and Forms Feng Shui" that's why most likely... 11. The morale of the story? Don't hope that it will ever be accepted! Spent your midnight oil and Change it! Nowadays, everywhere, not just the Chinese are trying to build Feng Shui friendly homes...
