  1. Further to what I mentioned, the "clapsed hand" or "closed hand" of the two blocks symbolised "closed opportunites". Please see attached illustration.
  2. Dear Xavier, My frank comments are: Major disadvantage of this block: ================================= 1. This specific block is considered at an inauspicious "T" junction. Since the street Jurong West St 65 is like a straight water course (Sha Qi) aimed at this block. (As shown in the pink arrow line). 2. It is in a symbolic (Chinese symbol for "down") as shown in the red Chinese character to "down". Secondary Threat: ================ 3. The entire block 685 (A, B, C..) - outlined in "blue" colour is symbolic of a dragon (serpent). The mouth of this dragon is located at marking "A". And the head (brain area) of the dragon is located at marking "B". The body of the dragon is "C". This configuration is a sha qi to 684A. 4. Frankly, I do not like the two U shaped type of block as it is not favourable for the movement or flow of qi for the two blocks : 685's and 683-684's. The new Costa Del Sol condominium located next to The Bayshore at East Coast, also has such a similar configuration. In my opinion, based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, residents in this block will often have to cope with financial problems. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  3. Dear Xin Xin, Please see below: Feng Shui is all about symbolism. And since 6 represents big metal; six coins are often used as a cure. Sometimes 3 coins are used also because the number 3 represents wood. And as the coins are symbolic of metal (real metal), under the five elements concept: metal destroy wood to "create wealth". This is why, sometimes, some FS practitioners or authors recommend using a string of three coins. Often, if one has these items for more than a month and found no problems - life goes on as usual, then, there is no problem in not doing a spiritual cleansing. What you mention, sounds like an amateur cleansing, and more likely it is made to make a person feel good rather than being that effective in "chasing away a spirit". Warmest Regards, Cecil
  4. Dear Xin Xin, Please see below:- Generally, there is no issue with the type of `imitation' coin used. The 6 coins or 3 coins displayed is often based on symbolism in Feng Shui. Often, it is a common practise for some Chinese who buys figurines such as "Guan Yim" or Goddess of Mercy to be brought home to pray to. In such a situation, often the eyes of these figurines are `drawn' on. But, if you were to buy decorations, there is often no need for any kind of purification. The only thing to be careful of is to buy dubious "antiques" if their origin cannot be ascertained. As some of these may harbour - unwanted spirits. Otherwise, mostly imitation products such as porcelain etc... are often free of such things. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  5. Dear Kok Seng, If you have a relatively large garden or a garden cum car-park, then, see if you have a sufficient wall e.g. a brick wall to shield your home from this "T" junction. The other alternative is if allowed, often, the exterior of your home has some plants or bush such as a garden balcony attached to your brick wall. Or, have plants to help shield your home from this Sha Qi. Hopefully, your main door cannot be directly seen from this "sha qi". If so, the tradition, is to place a ba gua mirror above the main door or the windows facing this `threat'. Apply proper Feng Shui to: 1. fix leaks - if any in a home 2. enhance using both Shapes and Forms and Flying star Feng Shui. A full Feng Shui investigation or audit often involves: 1. Looking at the drainage around and behind the home (if any) 2. surroundings and plot of land 3. Interior Feng Shui of a home. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  6. Dear Karen, Studies such as those done by NASA, has shown that having a plant indoors can be beneifical to a home. Recently, I had posted a link in this forum to a Honeywell Site - which also has some resources on having a plant indoors - and that some plants are more effective than others in `cleansing' the air in a home. In my opinion, I personally think that there are two reasons why some people do not like having a money plant indoors i.e. home or office:- Reason 1: Some of us just use a glass plant container, add rocks, to `secure' the roots of the money plant. And simply pour water to this container. As many of us know, this is an easy option, as we do not need to water the money plant every day. But, if we do not add mosquito pallets or check this container often, it can be a breeding ground for these blood suckers. Which can bring dengue or malaria fever. Reason 2: Some people consider the money plant a vine. And thus, associate it with plants like the `poison ivy' etc... In my opinion, reason 1 is the main concern. But of-course, one can easily plant these money plants to a small pot filled with sand. And this would remedy the problem associated with "Reason 1". Therefore, othe rthan this, there is no major issue with having indoor plants. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  7. Dear Yak Heng, 1. The only correction method is often, to tilt the door. But in a HDB senario, it is impossible to do so due to restrictions by HDB. 2. One has to understand the various concept(s), their strengths and limitations. 3. In case of the Eight House theory, "wishing" away the wrong direction is near to impossible unless one physically make changes under para 1. 4. Often, anything else, under the Eight House is like taking a sugar coated pill. 5. Therefore, it is not so easy to use a "correction fluid" to ease the `problem'. It will always be there! 6. What is more important is that since, this is already a `leak' try to avoid more leaks in the home. 7. Or, try to get as much marks for other sectors or areas within the home. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  8. Dear Yak Heng, If you are D.I.Y. Feng Shui, then, you may have to spent more effort in understanding the various Shapes and Forms as well as Compass School Feng Shui (which includes Flying Star Feng Shui). Frankly, you may have to `burn-midnight oil' digesting as much as you can on these concepts. Else, the last resort would be to get a FS practitioner. Since, your short question cannot be replied to in total as there are lots of concepts involved even within each Feng Shui principle/concept. Warmest Regards, Cecil regards yhgoh
  9. ********* It is always interesting to receive these CON letters in all shapes and sizes ******** *** START OF FIRST LETTER ****** My dear friend, Having gotten your contact from your country's trade journal, I am requesting your services as my foreign partner with the intention of investing US$12,500,000 in your country in any viable and profitable venture that you will recommend. Please be assured that the funds are from a genuine source and I am willing to present you all the necessary documents to authenticate my claims. Please contact me by phone or my private email address ( henry_zulu@mail.com ) for details immediately you access this mail. Regards. Mr Henry Zulu Mendosa Tel +229 687191 *** START OF 2ND LETTER ****** CHARITY SUPPORT From: Mrs. Serena Jones PLEASE ENDEAVOUR TO USED IT FOR THE CHILDREN OF GOD. I am the above named person from Kuwait. I am married to Dr.Harry Jones who worked with Kuwait embassy in Ivory Coast for nine years before he died in the year 2000.We were married for eleven years without a child. He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days. Before his death we were both born again Christians.Since his death I decided not to re-marry or get a child outside my matrimonial home which the Bible is against. When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of 10Million Dollars (Ten Million United State Dollars) with one finance/security company in Amsterderm Holland. Presently, this money is still with the Security Company. Recently, my Doctor told me that I would not last for the next three months due to cancer problem. Though what disturbs me most is my stroke sickness. Having known my condition I decided to donate this fund to church or better still a christian individual that will utilize this money the way I am going to instruct here in. I want a church that will use this funds to fund churches, orphanages and widows propagating the word of God and to ensure that the house of God is maintained. The Bible made us to understand that Blessed is the hand that giveth. I took this decision because I don't have any child that will inherit this money and my husband relatives are not Christians and I don't want my husband's hard earned money to be misused by unbelievers. I don't want a situation where this money will be used in an ungodly manner. Hence the reason for taking this bold decision. I am not afraid of death hence I know where I am going. I know that I am going to be in the bosom of the Lord. Exodus 14 VS 14 says that the lord will fight my case and I shall hold my peace. I don't need any telephone communication in this regard because of my health because of the presence of my husband's relatives around me always. I don't want them to know about this development. With God all things are possible. As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the Finance/Security Company in Amsterderm Holland. I will also issue you a letter of authority that will prove you as the original- beneficiary of this funds. I want you and the church to always pray for me because the lord is my shephard. My happiness is that I lived a life of a worthy Christian. Whoever that wants to serve the Lord must serve him in spirit and truth. Please always be prayerful all through your life. Any delay in your reply will give me room in sourcing for a church or christian individual for this same purpose. Please assure me that you will act accordingly as I stated herein. Hoping to hearing from you. N.B-PLEASE I WILL ADVICE YOU TO GIVE THE LAWYER IN CHARGE A CALL IN HOLLAND IMMEDIATELY, HE DOES EVERYTHING ON MY BEHALF AND HE'S VERY UNDERSTANDING AND I BELIEVE HE WILL LEAD YOU TO YOUR SUCCESS IN JESUS NAME AMEN. 10. Dear Anon, Yes, placing too many wind chimes can indeed be an "over-kill" especially if one uses the light weight alluminium type of wind chime. For those using the much heavier copper (hollow rod) with an I-ching coin clinger, this type, in my opinion, makes almost few or no sound at all. (Even in heavy winds). Perhaps, some of these, (for decoration) is not an "over-kill" since they are (nearly totally ineffective in making large sounds). Why not consider planting plants or shrubs on the fence or use "day" curtains. Both are equally acceptable. "If it is not seen, it no longer becomes a threat:)" Warmest Regards, Cecil
  11. Dear Deborah, 1. Apologies, the `dog' thing was meant to be a *JOKE* Glad that you have well trained (civic minded)dogs:)) 2. Frankly, there is no hard and fast rule on what makes a perfect garden. 3. Most of the time, in-fact, it is what you and your family feel comfortable with. 4. From your description, you garden sounds lovely. This is already a plus point. 5. The other `secret' ingredient to a successful (area) is the sight of birds. Birds, like us, do appreciate good location. Hopefully, they are not king fishers or fish eating ones (especially if one rears koi fishes:) 6. Don't worry, so long as one has a passion of gardening or simply admiring or making effort to make one's garden look `nice' often, this is already a success! Warmest Regards, Cecil
  12. Dear Anon, Please see attached illustration. In this illustration, I had given two Case Studies: Case 1: Threats from lamp posts, trees or the pointed roof of a neighbouring home (Here, the threat should fall within the markings A to B as shown in the attachment). Case 2: Threats from the sharp edge of another near-by building. (Here, the building need not be directly in-front but at the side of the main door or window.) Hope you can see the difference. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  13. Dear Susan, Since you do not have furniture inside, then perhaps, see if the external landscape looks appealing or `clean'. As you had mentioned, the `first' impression of the front of the home is important. Often, Feng Shui is not meant to sell a property. But most people like: convenience (to work/schools/markets etc). And, likewise, $$$ plays an important part of the attractiveness of a home for a buyer. And if a home has good Feng Shui, such as open space and friendly, FS interior, hopefully, some clients may appreciate this. Wishing You all the best in selling your home! Warmest Regards, Cecil
  14. Dear Nhan Vo, Often, the white crystals are the evaporated "white" salt crystals, that was stirred into the water. And perhaps, a little of the chemical reaction of salt with the surface of the copper coins. It is good to check the Flying star numbers at the specific sector and to check whether, one's home could `fly' into the new period 8 or not. And at the same time, if the #5 does not fly into the location for the year, then, one may not need to consider the use of this `cure'. As mentioned, in my past message(s) on this cure, one has to actively `monitor' it. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  15. Dear Anon, Often, the colour scheme can be used in many situations. Neutral colour such as white or pastel shades of light colours are acceptable. The use of 6 coins is symbolic. Here, 6 represents big metal. And this is why it is often used. Other metal elements often used as a cure in Feng Shui are things like pendulum clock or wind chimes. In my opinion, this type of cure can be subjective. As not all practitioners may agree with it. In my opinion, it does help. So long as it is seen, it is ok. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  16. Dear Anon, Frankly, you are not the only one that would be facing this `problem'. It is far better to have the desk face a door than facing away from the door. This often, is not advantages for the person working in this office: 1. cannot see who is coming in. 2. for some of us, may not feel comfortable with others looking in e.g. privacy issue if computer screen is in view of others. 3. symbolically inauspicious - seems like one is turning one's back against one's work etc... For example, it would be quite odd for those with a room to have their back facing the door. (Unless, this area is a computer room or other shared room). In most offices, one can easily place a low back row of cabinet behind one's table (to act as a support - if the back is entirely made of glass). Warmest Regards, Cecil
  17. Dear Susan, If you have a sketch, it would be easier to visualise the situation. Overall, since all bedrooms often have a window(s) and a bedroom door, there is a limitation to where it can be placed. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  18. Dear Jason, This is a free report and the key is to provide one with one's true element and strength. Other specific details are not provided in this free report. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  19. Dear Susan, As the word "Compass School" Feng Shui suggests, it is the actual use of the magnetic compass i.e. to take a reading of the home/surroundings. And the "Traditional Authentic Compass School of Feng Shui" takes into consideration, the magnetic needle direction in relation to the position of a home or office or site. Therefore, anything that relates to `fixed' template is not really based on the Compass School of Feng Shui. For example some western "Black Hat Sect" type of FS, simple has a fixed layout plan and this is placed against the main door. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  20. Dear Anon, 1. One thing for sure: Economically, it has future resale potential being in a popular/higher priced area. 2. In terms of Feng Shui, these are `point-block' type of condo. 3. And, point block condos are, in my opinion, has better qi flow and `points' of entry of qi in and out of the unit(s). 4. The major consideration is that although this is a `point block', it does not have the rectangular point block feature. A rectangular point block often has at least `three-points' of qi flow e.g. balcony, various bedrooms and kitchen or back area. And a forth, qi flow coming from the main door. 5. But the condo does allow for exceptional length of `frontage'. 6. As for individual units, it would have to depend on the facing direction of the Flying Star school, for the selection of better units. 7. NTUC is a relatively new comer and often, has poor information of their development on their website. For example the site plan does not have the north-south marking; and I believe, there are no sample - internal layouts to look at. 8. But based on preliminary look, the units facing the swimming pool would normally be best. (But, needless to say, these units are always sold at a premium compared to other units. (In Singapore, Feng Shui is related to or equal to the price we are prepared to pay!) 9. In economic terms, when Singapore will ultimately face a "glut" in having too many condos, as many people have to retire and forced to sell their condos, this one, perhaps, can even be sold as late as lease reaches 65 years or more left. Warmest Regards, Cecil http://www.ntuc-choiceho
  21. Dear Monica, Frankly, in Feng Shui, there is no specific need for `special' paintings all around the walls in a bedroom. If you have posted this message to a "Feng Shui emporium", I believe, you will be happy `slapped' with various items to buy on their site. In Feng Shui, one key success factor is "clear space". And cleanliness. I am not saying that hanging paintings is not `clean'. But for those living in Asia, and at low floors, such as 1st to the 4th storey, there are such insects / reptiles as : lizards. Often, if one has three paintings, at night, one may just get a glimse of a few `fat' lizards, coming out of the hiding of various paintings to catch their bait. Nowadays, I understand that even in many condominiums, those with rough rocky walls, many new generation lizards or geckos, are able to do some `rock climbing' and climb into such homes. In fact, the question is: If one likes paintings or pictures, please by all means place it in the bedroom. And not because that "Feng Shui" says so... In fact, locally, many couples often ask during their new home Feng Shui: Can we hang our wedding photos in our bedroom? "Sure why, not. Even better if the portait has the wife pulling the husband's ears.. erh.. no funny tricks!" Here, everything either of them comes into their bedroom, perhaps deep down in their heart: the picture or portait comes as a gentle reminder: "OH MY GOD! I am stuck with him/her... fooling around means, he/she get's half of my property!" Warmest Regards, Cecil
  22. Dear Anon, Yes, this is considered as a `threat' to the `mouth' (main entrance) of the home. Given this situation: Taiwanese Feng Shui often suggests the use of plant(s). But if this is not possible, see if one can apply the concept: " if it cannot be seen, it can no longer be a threat". The next is the "terroist link" option: Get Bin Laden to help demolish the threat. *JOKE* As a last resort, one may have to consider the placement of a ba gua mirror above the main entrance doo. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  23. Dear Gerard, In my opinion, often these sun-shades do not pose a `threat' to a neighbour. In fact, I believe, HDB had already for many years back installed sun shade - in particular; for bedroom windows facing west or south west direction. Many of these windows have `clear space' i.e. often no obstruction as far as 500 metres or more (from another block of flats). What is worse is this `test': Sometimes, the next block is a full wall. And when we stand inside of the home, looking outwards, we tend to get `glare' or light reflected from such neighbouring block's walls. And this glare is `sha qi'. Many of the sun-screens as you had mentioned covers mostly a level higher than the top-hung window and flows down for slightly. When one stands even in an opposite flat (looking out of the window), this sun shade is simply too high. Nor does it pose such a strong reflected sha qi. So far, I have yet to see, such sun-shades for windows facing North or South or even East direction. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  24. Dear Chee Wee, One has to breakdown, the type of luck into three categories: 1. Heaven Luck 2. Earth Luck 3. Human Luck What you mentioned has to do with the Human luck factors. However, in our lives, the one that `govern' or has a much (much) higher influence is our "Earth" luck. Given that we are on this earth. And the earth luck component is normally our home and environment. For Heaven Luck, most of the time, even if it is inauspicious but if we have very good Earth luck, our earth luck gives a very good buffer. Human luck e.g. wearing suitable clothings is therefore, considered a smaller component of our overall luck. Again, the key success (or highest) weightage is not what colour we wear, but again the THREE L'S: which is Location, Location and Location (FULL STOP) Warmest Regards, Cecil Do I have to regards, Lim
  25. Further to what I had mentioned, there are many cases on bad Feng Shui practises, mentioned by users, clients: 1. One client (who is an interior designer) recently told me, that often, he encountered his clients bringing along their Feng Shui Master. In many situations, the Feng Shui master would ask: You have to get a specific painting. The client (victim) replies: "Where do I get such a painting?" THe FS Master: "Come to my shop". 2. Other senarios include: "You need to buy $X,XXX.00 amount of goods from my shop, in order to have good Feng Shui. 3. In some Feng Shui forums: everything a question is being posted, the reply is: Please buy this "product" that we have.. etc.. No wonder, that many of us are so guillble. Only the smarter ones (perhaps, some learn too late), will avoid these practises like the PLAQUE. Warmest Regards, Cecil
