In my opinion, it sounds better than a house directly facing a temple. However, if the temple is on a North-East and South-West alignment and vice-versa; and your apartment orhome is aligned in this North-East to South-West; then one has to be extra careful of the concept of: "Devil's gate". Besides this, location, location and location is equally important.

Dear Tock Moh, Generally, from a Feng Shui point of view, it is always notrecommended to purchase homes next to or near a temple or in-view of a temple. If possible, (without considering the monetary value of property) - it is best to buy these units as a "last resort". Warmest Regards, Cecil

Bear in my that when we approach such questions Often many of the situations, it may or might be based on "commonsense". For example, a reason why the stove should not be facing say a kitchen door entrance is e.g. when one is cooking, one's back is against the kitchen entrance, since all of us dn't have eyes behind our head, it was felt that one may be caaught unawares, in this instance. The other reason is under "symbolism". Here, it is best to avoid having a stove face a bedroom door. If the stove faces a kitchen door but does not face a bedroom door, this is considered the lesser of the two evils as compared to a stove below a beam, unless this beam is "covered" by say a kitchen cabinet or ventilation exhaust fan unit.

What the entire course is suppose to do is to arm an MBA graduate with an understanding of key functions in the company: Accountancy & Finance; Operations Management; Human Resource & Organisation Conflicts; Marketingetc.. 8. Yes, this is a very good point However, depending on how each of the homes are arranged; this also has a significant affect on the qi flow of the home. Thus, Shapes and Forms is still critical. Often in a cul-de-sac; some homes are still at a losing end.. while there are some which have better qi. And again it depends on the arrangement of each home, the distance between them and the main entrance area etc.. etc.. In addition, there may or could be poison arrow(s) in the form of neighbour's house corner or wall or even lamp post etc..that MAY or could slice into another home vs all homes if they are neatly arranged in an orderly fashion. Thus, it is still always best to look out for sha qi in this type of home. There were cases where a home was sandwiched between two others.. resulting in "fatality" e.g. the male breadwinner's death. But this is rare but I recalled, could and had happened before.

In Singapore, in many clusters of estates that have landed properities; the most popular ornaments are a pair each of the lions on the gates of many Chinese homes. This estate is in Paya Lebar called Tai Keng Gardens. The most remarkable thing is that there are two homes that have large sized lions. I do mean large ones that can only be placed on the floor: one set is found beside each front gate pillar and there is another set placed behind the main gate (beside the porch pillar..) Frankly, if you are referring to the photo you had posted; All I can see is a photo of a walkway and the photo was taken looking downwards. I repeat; based on this photo: tell me what is the threat? You have to be realistic. Given this photo; I don't see any threat at all.

Oh! I forgot mention; most people have "yang qi"; or simply energy or even "energy field" that is vibrant. Only those with e.g. negative sort of or rather below average qi may be affected by this. It could be deep depression, plenty of stress and negative feelings. If that "glow" is lost from that person; then more likely to meet or encounter... the ain't too good stuffs! Thus, if one and everyone beside them have a normal or even positive "glow" of qi; such things hardly if any ...

These are some considerations:- 1. Some homes or apartments may encounter "hauntings" is due to: humans bringing in those things accidentally; or a home was left vacant for some time... or for an old home; renovations on a "sensitive" area etc... or if one applies Flying Star Feng Shui; all the YIN stars cluster into a certain sector and perhaps that room is dark and cold or used as a store-room etc... 12. However, unlike people like us which have to go to review and audit so many homes; for a lay person; the statistics are as safe as "taking a plane ride" and landing safely. It is much safer than say riding in a car and getting into one of those @(#)$!@!!!.

Unlike the Initial-opening which is also known as First-time-open-door procedure; just imagine; later on one should try to "warm-up" the kitchen. The best "warm-up" is the use of the stove. There is no harm to place the Fa Gao (Haut Quay) on the stove. Place it aside somewhere else later in the kitchen that's all. Frankly, the procedures are just symbolic. The act of bringing in the items are like "placing" wealth into a home. So long as the item and many other pass the main door; all it takes is simple commonsense. 1. In my opinion, a conVEX mirror is meant to deflect a poison arrow e.g. a lamp post etc... 2. Usually, if you have seen a traditional Feng Shui bagua mirror; the traditional simpleton one has a ba gua array or the eight trigrams on the outside and a FLAT mirror. 3. Frankly, this is not a racist question or anything of that sort. This is an international forum and the internet is worldwide. Thus, not all races have even heard of Qing Ming less adhere to the culture and "respect" of the dead on Qing Ming. Thus, in my opinion; "It depends!" It depends on whether are you a Chinese or "others". If you are a Chinese; or pure Chinese then of course; the Chinese find it disrespectful to move house during the Qing Ming which is on 5th April 2011. And many Chinese don't move one week before or after Qing Ming. Even if one is a Chinese female and often married to a westerner than less likely to adhere to the concern for Qing Ming. Thus.. therefore.. two words: "IT DEPENDS!". You have to check yrou "skin" and roots? If I am westerner; I would heck care with Qing Ming as it is not my cultural practise. Got it? Get it?
