Majority of homes at Cul-De-Sac; don't have such a configuration as mentioned, below; or else; based on the book of Yang Zhia Shi Shu; how one places one's home in relation to other homes can affect health or even leading to death... Enclosed please find a picture of a house where death would occur twice. This is based on the book Yang Zhai Shi Shu http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=19&mid=2701&new= Therefore, many people prefer to play safe and buy homes that are in uniform rows that don't meander or be in a cul-de-sac. Just imagine, in some cul-de-sac homes, there can be similar layout as shown in the above URL! This is an actual case where one of the forum users replied when she saw the above illustration. == REFERENCE === http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=2702&new= Posted in: Discuss :: Free Advice (General Feng Shui) Posted on: Fri, 29 Oct 1999, 07:03 AM, Hi Cecil This is so very very true. Both my mother in law and father in law died within eleven months of each other in 1997 and 1998.They lived in a house with exactly the same set up as you have indicated. They had only been in the house 4 years...a magnificent house it was too. Cheers Glyn == END == Thus, things like a fire-hyrant, here seems more like "a pussy" cat issue.. More importantly, what matters (are) the bigger issues...

Yes, this is a very good point However, depending on how each of the homes are arranged; this also has a significant affect on the qi flow of the home. Thus, Shapes and Forms is still critical. Often in a cul-de-sac; some homes are still at a losing end.. while there are some which have better qi. And again it depends on the arrangement of each home, the distance between them and the main entrance area etc.. etc.. In addition, there may or could be poison arrow(s) in the form of neighbour's house corner or wall or even lamp post etc..that MAY or could slice into another home vs all homes if they are neatly arranged in an orderly fashion. Thus, it is still always best to look out for sha qi in this type of home. There were cases where a home was sandwiched between two others.. resulting in "fatality" e.g. the male breadwinner's death. But this is rare but I recalled, could and had happened before.

The main characteristic of a Chinese charm is that it is always on YELLOW paper. This charm is suppose to "protect" the home...

In Singapore, in many clusters of estates that have landed properities; the most popular ornaments are a pair each of the lions on the gates of many Chinese homes. This estate is in Paya Lebar called Tai Keng Gardens. The most remarkable thing is that there are two homes that have large sized lions. I do mean large ones that can only be placed on the floor: one set is found beside each front gate pillar and there is another set placed behind the main gate (beside the porch pillar..) As usual, there are the white lions and some homes have the ceramic glazed "brownish" type...

I have confession to make! Frankly, such Shapes and Forms questions is about using one's sight to make judgements. And what happens when the key ingredient: visual sight or pictures or photos are missing? Very vague generalisation to often, it is better not to reply to these questions. The major fear is mis-interpretation of information. Therefore, especially Shapes and Forms or postings that are always text only ...hmmmm... what can I say!

Frankly, if you are referring to the photo you had posted; All I can see is a photo of a walkway and the photo was taken looking downwards. I repeat; based on this photo: tell me what is the threat? You have to be realistic. Given this photo; I don't see any threat at all.

Oh! I forgot mention; most people have "yang qi"; or simply energy or even "energy field" that is vibrant. Only those with e.g. negative sort of or rather below average qi may be affected by this. It could be deep depression, plenty of stress and negative feelings. If that "glow" is lost from that person; then more likely to meet or encounter... the ain't too good stuffs! Thus, if one and everyone beside them have a normal or even positive "glow" of qi; such things hardly if any ...

These are some considerations:- 1. Fernwood Towers @ 24 Fernwood Terrace (Marine Parade/Siglap area) In the early 1990's during piling work for this development; a worker was killed by the pile (or crushed to death). 2. Melville Park Condo There was ever a drowning occured in the swimming pool. 3. Goldhill Park Condo Around 2006 thereabouts, someone was sucked into the suction pipe was drowned to death. 4. Yesterday, I had a call from a reporter from The Straits Times. The article came out, just today, that they found a grave even with a grave marking at Yishun Ave 5. But this is a "peaceful" death. 5. Overall, Yishun is suppose to be an auspicious land and once a popular Teochew village. And long gone, was the orchid and the Yishun cemetry (mostly a Teochew) cemetry. 6. All cemetry sites were suppose to be auspicious. For example, the long gone cemetry that was once at the Orchard MRT station. When Tangs, relocated to the current place where The Marriot Hotel is today. 7. The senario that most mimic the Adora Green is Para 1: Fernwood Towers. But Fernwood Towers is a bit more complicated; part of the land was also abit like Yishun but previously there were kampongs and even graves on that plot of land. 8. Frankly, or realistically speaking, I would be more concerned with Fernwood Towers if I compare this to Adora Green : where the incident has not taken place on it's land itself. 9. In fact, there are many places in Singapore where tragey occurred; "nearby". In my opinion; "nearby" is not as bad as on that land itself. 10. In our line of business, one of the occupational hazards is related to "ghost or spirit" detection. Once in a while we MAY or COULD "meet" or have such an encounter even with homes that have no trace of tragedy. For example, if you were to do a search for something like Haig Road or Block 3 Haig Road etc... 11. Some homes or apartments may encounter "hauntings" is due to: humans bringing in those things accidentally; or a home was left vacant for some time... or for an old home; renovations on a "sensitive" area etc... or if one applies Flying Star Feng Shui; all the YIN stars cluster into a certain sector and perhaps that room is dark and cold or used as a store-room etc... 12. However, unlike people like us which have to go to review and audit so many homes; for a lay person; the statistics are as safe as "taking a plane ride" and landing safely. It is much safer than say riding in a car and getting into one of those @(#)$!@!!!.

Frankly, there is a limitation to such a posting. As we don't have a full picture of the exact situation. Can't possible understand clearly all the lines of text. And often lead to mis-interpretation.

Since the home is rented; and from a commonsense approach; close the toilet door when not in use - I suppose.

Unlike the Initial-opening which is also known as First-time-open-door procedure; just imagine; later on one should try to "warm-up" the kitchen. The best "warm-up" is the use of the stove. There is no harm to place the Fa Gao (Haut Quay) on the stove. Place it aside somewhere else later in the kitchen that's all. Frankly, the procedures are just symbolic. The act of bringing in the items are like "placing" wealth into a home. So long as the item and many other pass the main door; all it takes is simple commonsense. For example, if one were to bring in a packet of sugar, rice etc.. the natural thing is to stock up the kitchen. Be it, "now" or later. Do take note that again there is no hard or fast rule with regards to "whatever" one wants to do. If one analyses all the procedure: they are simply FIVE words only: Placing wealth into the home. And please don't try to make the procedures into some sort of rocket science material. Overall, use one's "OTAK" or commonsense. P.S. In Malay OTAK = brain. Not Botak Otak. (Zero brain matter).

Try to do a Search at the Top left frame of this forum for e.g. "Red is the most yang"... and you should be able to read lots of past forum messages on this topic.. http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=1236&new=

1. In my opinion, a conVEX mirror is meant to deflect a poison arrow e.g. a lamp post etc... 2. Usually, if you have seen a traditional Feng Shui bagua mirror; the traditional simpleton one has a ba gua array or the eight trigrams on the outside and a FLAT mirror. 3. In a "foreign" country where the culture is mostly non-Chinese; the eight trigrams array ain't going to help. 4. The clue can be found under Para 2 and highlighted IN the same colour (COLOR).

1. Frankly, this is an old grandmother’s tale. 老奶奶故事 2. But unfortunately, based on this tale: what a pity that that "the 老奶奶 ”(or old grandmother) was killed by the villian before she could even warn her grand daughter which hand to wear the ring. 3. Well isn't it a pity? Because of this incident, now, her grand daughter was too distraught to wear the ring anymore. 4. Maybe now, this tale can finally be put to rest. Amen! Be warned don’t scroll down! Don’t say I did not warn you! Last chance! STOP! FINAL WARNING! Frankly, this is not a racist question or anything of that sort. This is an international forum and the internet is worldwide. Thus, not all races have even heard of Qing Ming less adhere to the culture and "respect" of the dead on Qing Ming. Thus, in my opinion; "It depends!" It depends on whether are you a Chinese or "others". If you are a Chinese; or pure Chinese then of course; the Chinese find it disrespectful to move house during the Qing Ming which is on 5th April 2011. And many Chinese don't move one week before or after Qing Ming. Even if one is a Chinese female and often married to a westerner than less likely to adhere to the concern for Qing Ming. Thus.. therefore.. two words: "IT DEPENDS!". You have to check yrou "skin" and roots? If I am westerner; I would heck care with Qing Ming as it is not my cultural practise. Got it? Get it?

Yes... you can also benefit from this advice! Just imagine in the past; many grandma's and grandpa's have to "tolerate" each other and one word here: they enjoy : MARTIAL BLISS! So itn't is a bliss that you could have wished that you have not even heard of Feng Shui; this term? Won't it makes you a much happier person? Hahahahaha!

Well, the home sounds nice One question I have for you: "Now do you regret ever learning Fung Sway?". One good thing is that it is across the road. Not like next to your home. Usually, majority of us have to go some time or the other... and it is quite natural thing. In Singapore, in the 1900's to 1940's Sago street is THE PLACE for such things and there are many who stay within that area. So.. DO YOU NOW, TRULY REGRET READING TOO MUCH ABOUT FENG SHUI (FUNG SWAY)? If you don't buy my argument... then read on.. HALT! Still don't buy my argument? Well read on.... ..What the heck.. here goes.... one of the Fung Sway remedies... Traditionally, RED is considered as the most YANG thing so, some homes use natural red-bricks at their frontage facing it. Otherwise; we often drape "red" .. in your case could be a set of red curtains or (some even have a fire-engine RED as the main entrance door car.) Sorry.. to have strained your eyes!

Frankly, there are a few considerations:- 1. If you have been happily staying in the home and realistically speaking; no major issues or concerns; then the adage: "If it ain't broken; don't fix it". 2. For all you know or don't know; your bedroom may even do with a little "symbolic" fire! 3. Don't worry too much! 4. Say; if there is no cure required so why "torture" yourself trying to find such a cure? 5. Be happy I would be more concerned today, if I am in California.. waiting for the next one... In New York.. what is there to worry about, right? 6. Look at the Tsunami that wiped out parts of north-east Japan and the homeless. Compared to them; your woes is "pussy cat"... all in the mind...

Frankly, have you seen the performance by the late Michael Jackson? Called history? What you mentioned below e.g. five types of fruits seems to belong to this link:- http://www.geomancy.net/info/initial-opening.pdf Please read the heading of the .pdf carefully. When you say you are moving-in; the above "Initial-opening.pdf" is History! Past, gone, kaput. This should be the thing to read.. not the above, please. http://www.geomancy.net/info/move-in.pdf

1. Please refer to the following link:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/yearly-forecast/fortunes-2011.htm 2011 Flying Star Forecast North 8 3 1 9 7 5 4 2 6 South Take note the following sectors:- Sickness Star this year is at South Misfortune/Sickness Star this year is at East Disputes/Quarrel Star this year is at North Education/Romance Star this year is at South-West Grand Duke this year is East, 90 Degree. - Avoid sitting facing the grand duke or disturbing him by having renovations. Location in Conflict is West. - Avoid having renovations done opposite the location in conflict. 2. This year after CNY; the "Quarrels, disputes, lawsuits and legal entanglements" has moved to NORTH = #3. #3 belongs to the Wood element. 3. Thus, based on the Flying Star for this year; it is not advantages to move your water feature from NW to North. Here, under the Five elements concept: Water fuels or inflames Wood. 4. In this case, it aint' useful - in fact more harm to have a water feature moved towards North. 5. This is a very useful and practical concept; an observation I made donkey years ago; i.e. in the 1980's:- The Customer Engineer Concept:- http://forum.geomancy.net/resources/forum-archive/9795.php 6. Given the limited information; it is good to reflect on what one has done earlier...

These are some of the considerations: 1. Yes, this is a good direction. As in the past, I had mentioned that one of the lowest common denominator is the Five Elements Concept. The lowest is: Taiji and Yin and Yang concept. 2. However, when deciding what element an item or wall or feature is; still needs "JUDGEMENTAL SKILLS" and SUBJECTIVITY. 3. Why? 3.1. If the kitchen cabinet made of wood or even particle board or laminate or recycled material is covered by; the surface area - texture and colour will often determine what the element COULD be. 3.2. Thus if the entire or majority of the kitchen cabinet is in say BRIGHT YELLOW; then yellow = earth element. Thus if the kitchen cabinet is in say green laminate: it could be considered as the wood element. Thus if the kitchen cabinet is covered by ORANGE colour; the orange colour represents the metal element. 4. White can or may be considered as belonging to the metal element AND/OR a NEUTRAL colour. Frankly, there is no right or wrong in this assessment. 5. However, more SPECIFIC OR DISTINCT SHAPES LIKE A TRIANGLE PYRAMID e.g. a block of wood shaped in the form of a triangle. 5.1. Since the shape is so distinct; sometimes even if it is entirely carved from a solid piece of wood; many of us would still "SEE" this TRIANGLE, pointed shape or rather our mind would register this MORE DISTINCTLY than it being literally a piece of wood. 5.2. Thus, if we were to sample people for their answers; I believe, many would "look thru" the wood and say that it is a pyramid or a triangular shape. Triangle shape is the fire element. 6. Therefore, if the shape is so distinct; you can have more than one answer depending on how one see's the item! 7. As I mentioned like so many other messages; there truly is no right or wrong answer! It is how each of us see's the item and allow our mind to see what is more important!

Further to what I had mentioned: 1. That the terrace house with openings on directly opposite sides: often would not result in as much "stagnant qi" and would most unlikely migrate to "suffocating" and even worse "dead qi". 2. Just imagine; many of us, have opened a store-room or enter a enclosed "bomb-shelter". When we step into it; our lungs try to catch as much of the limited oxygen, there. 3. In a quad-joined semi-detached home; look at this additional simple illustration: air flow or wind; would OFTEN try to take the shortest route or short-cut from an opening to another opening. And in this illustration; unfortunately the two openings are like an "L" shaped profile. 4. Thus, it makes this type of home; more likely to "accumulate" STAGNANT qi. And if stagnant qi is not "cured"; it can lead to the instance of poor qi flow: or the type of suffocating qi or dead qi senario. 5. Even in an apartment; there are some areas where stagnant qi may collect. See attached illustration.
