Kindly follow this link to access a comprehensive review of The Pinnacle@Duxton: The Pinnacle@Duxton comprises seven slender towers, each standing 48 storeys high. This project will represent the tallest public housing in Singapore, being twice the height of the majority of Housing Board flats. Collectively, the seven slender towers will take on the appearance of a massive curved screen, interconnected at their 26th storeys and at the roof level by sky gardens that include jogging tracks and various sports and recreational amenities. This project was originally scheduled for completion in 2007. However, it now appears that the completion date is set for later this year. As the towers are oriented in different directions, they effectively face a variety of orientations, including North, South, East, West, Northeast, and even Southwest. The site was previously a nutmeg plantation, as the soil was particularly suitable for nutmeg cultivation.

1. I very glad that you have correctly understood that for an existing home; looking at house numbers is like looking at the past. 2. And I happy to learn that you are not dwelling with the past, but looking forward. 3. For every one of you, there are 10 more who still dreams about the "past" or look at how to change the past! Ridicious rite?

1. This report is more useful for someone who is searching for an apartment and looks at the house number(s) before purchasing a home vs another home. 2. For example, for those who intend to purchase, say a newly launched development; they could try to check which unit under a stack is better. 3. After you have purchased or owned a flat, isn't too late? 4. Here, you have to apply this and other concepts:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Concept_of_Maximizing_Marks

1. My advise to all is: "When the buying stops, the selling can!" 2. Commercial products are modern inventions. The main purpose is to cheat us of our money into buying them:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Commercial_Products Momo O. wrote: I am a west person. dragon sign (1964 Dec). Is it good to have a dragon picture in the house if so, where should I put it. Thank you. 3. It is best to draw a proper flying chart to determine the above. 1. In this illustration, anything related to the "fire element" especially an oven or stove should not be directly facing a bedroom door. 2. As all of us are aware, how often we close the kitchen door - in most homes. So long as the kitchen door is closed all the time, then there is no effect of the oven facing the bedroom door.

1. It is very common for the stove to face the living room. However, in some layouts, the stove faces a bedroom door. 2. For example, please see the attached illustration: 2.1 It shows a hypothetical case where this home does not have a kitchen door. 2.2 And the stove is facing one of the bedrooms (inYELLOW) where a family member is sleeping in the bedroom. 3. In this example, more importantly a stove facing especially the bedroom can affect the health of the person or parties sleeping in that bedroom. Phil S. wrote: Sir, can i say that although my stove (my back) is facing the windows but it is a distance away which i do i not think a direct wind will reach the stove. There is no bad fengshui issue like a stove facing the kitchen entrance will bring bad luck to the owner? Thanks PS

1. Yes, you can definitely ignore fake birthdates. 2. In fact, the "truth" or real birth date is critical! 3. For example, often we get clients that have a family member that told us that they can remember exactly their lunar birth-day. And this date is properly converted back to the western date. 4. In the past, many people were born in remote areas and often, there is a time lag between their actual day of birth and the day their family member say; went to a police post to make a police report. Thus their actual birthday is 7 July 1930. But their birth certificate shows 17 July 1930. But their parents had recorded somewhere or still remember that their "child" was born on 7 July 1930. 5. In this example, we should use 7 July 1930. And totally ignore 17 July 1930! Polly K. wrote: Dear Master Cecil, I know that there are quite a few Chinese who change their children's birth year to make their children seem a year younger (so that they appear very accomplished/mature for their age). If someone who has been using a false date of birth on ID documents (hukou, driver's license, etc) wants to calculate their fengshui, is it sufficient to use their real birthday, or does the fake one have to be taken into account somehow? Can it be safely ignored? Thank you! Polly

1. Please note that the Eight House concept is very rigid i.e. Either you spent time at such and such a location or you don't. Or you try to avoid. It is like ebony and ivory - black and white - hot and cold. 2. This concept offers no cures for the above. 3. Basically, some clever people or those who have the money, actively search out good homes where the bedroom sectors all "fall into" place. For example, when constructing a new home, a wealth person, would engage a geomancer to make things right - the first time. 4. Thus many of us who does not have the luxury of having such expert advice can only apply Eight House Feng Shui based on "Nice-to" have situations. 5. Thus it is "Nice-to" have sleeping in a good bedroom; but if the bedroom sector is not good for you, then just too bad. You cannot take advantage of this "nice-to" have concept. Unless, you can get the earthquake to severely tilt your home or bed towards a good sector. Not possible rite? FULL STOP! 6. If you have a window nearby or in the bedroom, one of the best way to activate the wealth star for the year is to allow it to circulate into the home. Thus the simplest solution is to allow wind or air to circulate especially thru an opening in the bedroom. This is far better than activating a crystal etc...

1. You can use the free reports at http://reports.geomancy.net as you need to input especially your date of birth to find out which facing direction best suits you. 2. The Feng Shui audit fee can be found under this URL: http://www.geomancy.net/consultation/consult-home/home-onsite-audit.htm

1. Frankly, donkey years ago, Feng Shui practitioners had the vague notation that North = water, south = fire. 2. In modern times, unfortunately; this type of "evaluation" or "thinking" is equivalent to Kindergarten type of Feng Shui. 3. Today, a more accurate way of finding out whether the sector is or is not a water wealth location is to find out where is the Water star #8 current prosperity located in a home. This is thru the use of Flying Star Feng Shui. 4. Are you so sure that North is your actual (current) water wealth location; in the first place. If not; how effective can one be if one is activatinga location that is not even the real water wealth position. It is like taking a sugar coated pill - psuedo effect.. 5. The morale of the story is to "get your facts correct" before one can properly determine where is the water wealth and then try to activate it. 6. If the location is a real water wealth location, it is better to activate it with real water (yang water) as opposed to yin water. If yin water is used, it is far better to use colours e.g. blue colour to activate it than untested items like a black coloured glass cabinet etc... or some crummy crystals...

1. If you are able to analyse your home using a proper Flying Star Feng Shui chart; you can try to neutralise this issue by locating especially where is the Mountain star #3 and water star #3. 2. These stars #3 are related to issues such as what you had mentioned. If you are able to disarm or neutralise these stars; it would often help to relieve such a problem.

As mentioned earlier, a full Pillars of Destiny Chart is not so simplistic as what one may think. For the living, besides: Year, Month, Day and Time of birth; living human beings have to consider two more charts:- House of Life - this is a very important pillar that determines your OVERALL life. House of Conception - For a male, it represent's one's spouse. For a female, her child. So the notation of just looking at the Day chart and determining the strength on it's own is wishful thinking!

1. Please see the two sample attachments. 2. These sample attachments are snap-shots of the kitchen area of a government Housing Board Flat. 3. Under Sample-A.gif, major consideration includes which sector the kitchen is located. And this layout plan is better than option under Sample-B.gif. 4. Under Sample-B.gif, the stove is "facing" the kitchen window. The plus point is that it is fairly far away. Otherwise, if the distance between the stove and window is too close, many geomancers would recommend the stove be in another location. Preference is under Sample-A.gif. 5. Often if the stove faces the kitchen or service yard window and is in full view of the master bedroom window, then symbolically if the master bedroom window is always opened, then it may lead to lots of quarrels.

Your flat is an older generation Housing Board Flat. Usually this flat or unit is within a larger rectangular block of flats. Please see comments on the attachment.

1. Many of the Feng Shui concepts are purely about commonsense. 2. For example, even without Feng Shui, many people are concerned with a bedroom directly above a kitchen - in particular, a stove. As it is felt that there may be a higher chance of a fire - in a kitchen than other areas of a home. And in addition, fire rises. 3. A stove equally should best be surrounded by a solid wall. Commonsense prevail that if there is some wind, it could EITHER: 3.1. Extinguish the flame and cause the gas to fill up the entire enclosed area e.g. the kitchen. And if there is any light source, the whole kitchen may just be engulfed in a volume of flame - or flash fire! 3.2. You don't want the flame to flow towards one's clothing - catching fire or worse, a small child at eye level walk past the stove and in a windy day, it may just blow towards the child's eyes! 4. That is why commonsense prevails that when we site a stove, it should be away from a windy area or an opened window. As there is such thing as high and low pressure zones especially prior to heavy rain occuring. 5. Typically, these are all just purely commonsense! And many other Feng Shui concepts are about this commonsense.
-
Please note that it is not as simplistic as what you think. A full analysis also takes into account especially his House of Life pillar to determine whether he is a strong or weak person - in the final analysis.

This is more of the mind.. than matter. For landed property (where other methods of numerology) may or may not be used, some symbolically place their house numbers by "raising" them...

1. Frankly, Feng Shui is not a cure all. 2. What is often, really needed is to do a full assessment based on the Holistic Approach to finding out what is wrong. 3. The Holy Trinity of Luck:- 3.1. Luck comes in three forms:- 3.2. Heaven Luck - born with 3.3. Earth Luck - Feng Shui of the home and office 3.4. Human or man luck 4. Only through a full assessment - in particular: the review of one's Heaven luck and Earth Luck can one get a bigger picture to identify what are the issues and problems, first.

1. Priority is based on Shapes and forms Feng Shui. Where the bedroom arrangement should "flow" with the bedroom door, attached toilet - if any and the location of the window in the bedroom. 2. Sleeping with the head facing a good direction is considered as Nice-to-have and not a must-have. 3. Another concept to remember is "If it ain't broken, don't fix it". If the previous bed-head arrangement was fine or acceptable, don't change things unnecessarily. Or revert to the "original-previous" position. Anonymous wrote: Hello, My house faces the west and my bed is placed in such a way that I my head faces the north. Of late I haven't been experiencing lack of sleep. Is this the right position ? My bed cannot be moved as that is the only convenient place? Any solutions? Thanks

#5 = misfortune, sickness. while #9 (fire) inflames #5 which implies making #5 worse-off.

1. In order to be "attacked" by a poision arrow, it is often the sharp corner of another mega building close-by. 2. At sixteenth floor; so long as especially your unit living room window does not over-look at a "pole" like structure that directly slices the living room, then it does not pose an issue. For bedrooms, also, so long as it does not slice any of the rooms thru the bedroom, this is not an issue. However, a simple day curtain especially for a bedroom can easily help to "cover" it. Thus if it no longer is seen it no longer can create a poison arrow. 3. This tower is significant especially if one has a child studying in a bedroom. For example, if the tower is to the right-hand side of the study table view, it implies that the child can achieve scholarly highs in his/her studies. The pearls are another thing. Polly K. wrote: Dear Master Cecil, My partner and Ilive in an apartment in the northern part of Shanghai, and as we are on the sixteenth floor, we have a clear view of the Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower and the other skyscrapers from the South-facing windows of our living room (South-Southwest sectors) and bedroom (East sector). Does the tower count as inauspicious, since it is sharply pointed at the top, or auspicious because it has the two round 'pearls' on it? There is also the Jinmao Tower which has a square hole in the top, and other skyscrapers, but then again on smoggy days we can't see any of them anyway! : ) If there are poison arrows coming towards our apartment, should we hang bagua mirrors outside both windows, or only one (which window?) or do something else entirely? We will only be living in this apartment for two more years so we'd prefer not to have to make costly changes to it. Thank you very much for any kind advice

1. Please note that traditional Feng Shui uses the Flying Star Feng Shui. And a "pie chart" or a "9 box grid" is used. 2. Some areas are known as protusion(s) and others are missing corner(s). 3. What bagua chart are you referring to? Hopefully not the modern invention of a bagua chart where North = career, etc.... this is a modern invention. 4. From your rough sketch, it looks more like a protusion. And can easily be looked at using a "pie chart" method of drawing out a Flying Star chart.

So sorry, you might want to rephase your question as I don't really understand it. Especially this statement: "Is the courtyard sufficient to bring the bedroom into the house or should I hang mirrors as well?" Aryn L. wrote: I'm buying a house that has a garage converted into a master bedroom. There is one step down into the room from the main portion of the house. To enter the house, you pass through an enclosed courtyard. The master bedroom is on the left with French doors leading into it from the courtyard. A covered carport is on the right. The front door is at the back of the courtyard and leads into the main part of the house. Is the courtyard sufficient to bring the bedroom into the house or should I hang mirrors as well? -------------------------------------- l l l l l l l l l l l l l l l l l l l----- -------------- --------- l l l l l l l l l l l l ---------- - - - - - - - l l

1. Thanks for the description. In my opinion, since this pipe is concealed within the concrete base, it is considered acceptable. And do not pose a major issue in-terms of the Feng Shui. 2. Once concealed, it is considered as neutral. 3. More importantly, based on commonsense approach to Feng Shui: this is where if there is especially a water pipe running 6 inches or closer to the stove, then when the stove is in use, the water pipe will begin to heat up. In such a situation, it is because of this that we considered having a water pipe running below a stove inauspicious! Fire - vs water in-conflict.
