1. It all depends on culture. 2. Even for the Chinese; there are some differences. 3. For example, let's take Hong Kong vs Singapore. 4. Hong Kong is just below (Cantonese enclave) Guangdong, China. And much of the population are Cantonese. As such the Cantonese have a preference for things like: mirrors facing the dining table. And a well documented case of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank building is installed with canon figurines (although they don't fire real canons; they look like real canon's aimed at the other building). 5. Thus, in Hong Kong, they (Hong Kong people) take their Feng Shui very seriously. 6. Singapore has the largest population of overseas Hokkiens or from Fujian Province. And Taiwan, is considered by the Chinese as still part of China, they have another large population of Hokkiens. 7. In general, the Hokkiens are seen to be more "easy going" or more flexible in their approach to things like cultural traditions. You don't see canons on top of Singapore buildings aimed at another building.. Unless, a business brings in a Cantonese Geomancer and things may turn that way. 8. Thus, so long one keys the items safely under lock and key; and with the majority of the Chinese population : Hokkiens; there is much leeway in such situations. 9. Some has done what you do and more and get away with it... in Singapore...

1. Some of the considerations when buying a landed property be it already built or going to be re-built share common considerations:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Want_to_build_your_dream_home%3F 2. Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui:- 2.1 Majority of home should have "clear space" at the "frontage" to allow qi to "collect": this could be the garden of the home etc... 2.2 If a tall condo "blocks" your view or if your new home is within "prying" eyes of the units of the condo facing your home... many feel that it is no longer "privacy" for the home. 3. Under Flying Star, one would like to tap the Water star #8 and Mountain star #8 if it happens to be at the frontage or the back of the home. The terms used under Flying star includes : Up-mountain; down-water etc....
-
1. Feng Shui still favours a "more rectangular" home as in Para A. 2. Both pieces of top-view land are OK. It is unlike the front is wider and the back is narrow - this is not the case - so good. 3. Another importan consideration is drainage of the property. Usually shapes like Para 2, is often a corner unit (majority) of the time while Para A may or may not be "sandwiched by other units" next to it.

1. Firstly, "Feng Shui is not a cure all". And numerology such as house numbers have no real precedence in Feng Shui. 2. No. 4 can be considered as a double edged sword. Some of us, don't look kindly to this number but there are some who feel neutral towards the number.
-
1. Yes, symbolically; it is technically considered inauspicious to have the uncovered sword facing the main door or within the living room area. 2. Actually, there are a few people who have displayed such objects and apparently "lived-through" it. In fact, there are some who took advise from some geomancers to display a sword made up by stringing Chinese ancient coins and some have placed it in the living room. 3. Commonsense approach to Feng Shui:- 3.1 The reason why some consider it inauspicious to have such a sword in few view of "visitors" is the unlikely chance that they get hold of it and use it to their "evil" ends. 3.2 However, Para 3.1 is less often a concern. 3.3 What is more concern in the commonsense is to get an innocent child of 3 years or more and getting hold of it or injuring themselves or their siblings or family members on it. 3.4 It is like in the US, where a child gets hold of his fathers shotgun and literally play with it. 4. Otherwise, in theory, there is no other concern other than to safely lock it up if it is on display.

1. In general, the wine industry is considered as belonging to the "Water" element. Reference: http://talk.geomancy.net 2. If you are promoting the "investment" into wines; then from your company's point of view; you should be considered as belonging to the Fire element: Marketing and Sales of wine. Especially if your company's purpose is to make a profit and in your case, you most probably, you may get a commission. 3. Although the term "investment" can be found under the Metal element, in the above link, personally, I feel this "investment" is strongly associated more with the Banking industry and meant more for the investor than the person, encouraging one to invest (your job). 4. Frankly, there are no right or wrong answers. So long as you can convince another person; why you feel it is so. In addition, in the past, a butcher is a butcher; a merchant is a merchant but nowadays; many of us have to do jobs that involve "multi-skills".

1. Please note that a pointed triangle roof (looking skywards) if it is AT THE SAME level of your window, facing your home IS considered a poison arrow. 2. And not just because it points skywards. 3. This is similar to the spine or a cross on a church. For eample, if the cross symbol is at the same level of your home; it is not because of the cross symbol but rather a cross is like a "trunk" of a tree or a pole; and it is this POLE that slices towards the window of a home; that is the cause for concern. 4. Thus, don't be too happy if it looks like a rocket ... about to embark into outerspace. So long as it is a pole like structure, it is akin to a "butter knife" slicing thru the window - if it is BOTH directly facing the window and AT THE SAME Level. 5. Therefore for "such things" two conditions must be there:- AT THE SAME LEVEL & DIRECTLY FACING the window... (please see my previous illustrations on this)

1. Appreciate, if you were to post, please don't post so many duplicates. I have to clean up all the duplicates for you. 2. These are some of the considerations:- 2.1 No one will ever complaint about a pure wooden dining table. 2.2 For a wooden cum glass piece; few would also complain as the structure often holding the furniture is wood, with glass inserts. 2.3 Commonsense approach:- 2.3.1 Why does some say glass NO GOOD? Have you seen a young child holding a cup or plate and start banging on the dining table? They might not crack it, but it does make an irritating sound if he/she is holding plastic ware. If it is china, then it may scratch or even shatter the glass. 2.3.2 Children do run around the home. Hitting their head against a wooden table is not as bad as the thin side of a glass table. 2.4 Make sure that the dining table glass is made of tempered glass that will shatter into smaller pieces. Unfortunately, in some countries even those side coffee table may not be made from tempered glass. All tempered glass will have a marking on the glass to show the brand and words "tempered" on it. 3. Symbolism in Feng Shui:- 3.1. For a pure wooden table, it would not shatter. For a part wood part glass unless we throw someone to the middle of the table, it may shatter. But a pure glass table is exposed on all sides... 3.2 It is like the example of the Chinese altar. It is considered bad to use a pure glass top to place Chinese gods or figurines or ancestor tablet. If it does shatter e.g. violet earth movement or vibration or accidentally dropping something on it; it will shatter and bring down the entire altar! This signify bad luck.

1. If you are applying Feng Shui; it is good that you try to make an effort to plot out your Flying Star chart for your home. 2. As it is equally important to find out what are the Flying stars (star numbers) specially at the SE and SW sector(s). 3. What you are asking now is like: holding a paint-brush; no canvas to paint on but you have some coloured paint for painting. Without the "canvas" aka Flying Star info; how are you going to apply Feng Shui properly. Anonymous wrote: Hello Sir: My master bedroom is located in the South East direction and the Kitchen in the Southwest or in Southdirection of the house. And I happened to learn that per Indian Vaastu and Feng Shui this is not an ideal location for a Master Bedroom. However, as this is a flat/apartment that we have bought we are unable to relocate our master bedroom. Further, our kitchen is in South or in Southwestwhich is also an inauspicious direction per our Kua numbers - 2. I truley hope Feng Shui could provide a remedy for this. FYI, both are Kua numbers are the same and it's 2 - Western Group. Per the 8 House Mansion System our flat is of Eastern Group with House Facing North and House Sitting South. I'm really worried about this situation. Please advice and help. Your response is most awaited. With much thanks, Regards, Kavita

We had recently moved in to our new Accident & Emergency (A & E) clinic on 5th May. Our new address is: Block 5, 5th Avenue Hospital Road. Zip code: 555555. Our hospital building is known as: #5 Misfortune / Sickness building. Guess what! This new A & E has record "sales". Yes, we have overwhelming demand for your service; thus the "sales".

1. Please see attachment. 2. This illustration shows : 2.1. a window in a home 2.2. Marking in RED "A" 3. Please note that any object within this RED marking "A" facing the window is considered a poison arrow. 4. Anything out of the RED marking "A" (e.g. blue zone) IS NO longer considered a poison arrow aimed at that window.

1. Please see this illustration:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=26084 PY W. wrote: would like to enquire that if the main windows of my living rom is looking at pointed roof of the opposite building, will it be considered ss poison arrows? If so, what will the consequences be and is there any way to overcome it? 2. If is no longer be seen, it no longer becomes a threat. Thus installing a day curtain, would effectively help to "screen" the poison arrow. This is the most common method without resorting to place any objects or items. 3. Other Feng Shui cures range from:- 3.1. 6 hollow rod wind chime(s) but not pracitical if it is faced near a bedroom window - noise pollution. 3.2. A conVEX ba gua mirror. 4. A fish tank next to the window with 7 gold fish and 1 black gold fish. 5. The above are common methods.

1. Many people especially the rich continue to hire geomancers that help to make your property better then the rest. 2. What better way is to apply Quantum Leap in Feng Shui. In order for a property be it a home or building to achieve quantum leap:- 2.1. Often it is built from scratch; 2.2. It is able to "SUCK" wealth from the neighbouring buildings... 3. The law cannot do anything; as this is not illegal! Thus justice has to be blind to this activity!
