Sink Position
1. It is a good start to see if it is feasible to use the Compass School to see if the stove can have the correct facing direction. 2. Frankly, it is not possible to comprehend an entire layout just by reading between these lines: "My problem now is where should I position the SINK, EXHAUST FAN, the Microwave, and the Refrigerator?". Susan J. wrote: Just to clarify, I'm an EAST group person and my house is facing North. I'm currently rennovating my kitchen and have come across this forum that mentioned stove should sit on the worst direction facing the good direction. Since i'm in Kua#4, I have positioned my stove in the WEST direction facing the EAST direction. My problem now is where should I position the SINK, EXHAUST FAN, the Microwave, and the Refrigerator? Please help. Thank you.

Move House Date
Benjamin P. wrote: I need to move in from old house to new house, what is the suitable date to move in? I have only 1/2-4/2 time and those peoples say this year TIGER is not appropriate to move when TIGER year started. 1. Look at it this way: Chinese is one of the four oldest civilizations. And I am sure, in the last five centuries till-now; there are already many cycles with the Tiger year that comes and goes. 2. And we cannot just say that just because Tiger year is no good; cannot move, cannot get married, cannot have children. Might as well say: don't bother to work in the Tiger year or travel then. 3. One common saying goes: one man's meat is another man's poison! Some people curse and swear against numbers : 13; others 4 or 44 or 444. While for others there is no adverse concern at all. 4. And for humans; the greatest fear is "fear itself" = auto-suggestion leading to self-fullfilling prohecy. 5. In fact under the Chinese horoscope; tiger year means different things to those born in say the year of the rat, pig, rooster, moneky, rabbit, horse, snake etc.... 6. Thus what was mentioned has to do with "extreme" thinking - cannot move or cannot get married. Frankly, I readly cannot fathom, what has moving got to do with the tiger year. Maybe, people are afraid of having a tiger new born baby girl as - there was a previous bias with such baby girls. But tiger year = cannot move frankly, this is kinda new? How do we consider move in? Is it with God and table in with some furniture will do? 7. Bringing in items or boxes or even buying new fridge, washing machine and connecting them or turning them on does not constitue move-in. 8. Move-in is the physical situation where one literally goes to the new, home especially cook a meal, there, bathing and sleeping there. This is a closer definition to the word: move-in. 9. Please note that there are some who bring in the God and place it on the new home's altar; but yet did not stay in the new home: This cannot however be said to have moved-in. 9.1 For some, they may bring in the God a few days earlier e.g. as it happens to be the 1st or the 15th lunar day of a month. Such dates are automatically considered very auspicious dates without having to check whether it is auspicious to the individual or not.

I am only for decoration: What else do u expect?
Using Pi Yao in the name of Feng Shui, says many geomancers.... "We make tons of money selling such useless products to you" Use that money bring your family for a simple but great family bonding at Mc Donalds or take them to a wonderful holiday...." I am only for decoration: I have no magical powers: What else do u expect from me? "I am a one horn Pi Yao. I am nothing magical!" But don't get conned especially byGeomancers that say that I can bring you wealth! In fact, I bring more wealth to these Geomancers. Make a guess: They buy me cheap & sell me dearly to you!" "We don't like to be conned, but yet, Geomancers are conning us into buying these DECORATE items in the NAME of Feng Shui!" They say: GREED begets GREED. STOP BUYING, NOW!

Could this be the giant tortise The Luo Shu Grid?
Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-tortise.htm The Legend of the Giant Tortoise According to ancient Chinese legends, a giant tortoise surfaced from the River Lo in central Chinaaround 4,000 years ago. The ancient Chinese found a pattern on a tortoise shell (refer to the extreme left picture above). There were circular dots of numbers on the giant tortoise that were arranged in a three-by-three nine grid pattern on it's shell. The pattern of numbers on the giant tortoise in any given direction i.e. horizontal, vertical or diagonal all add up to a total of 15 (refer to the middle picture above). This is equal to the 15 days in each of the 24 cycles of the Chinese solar year. In ancient times, the Hebrew used the same identical `magic square' which they referred it as the Square of the planet Saturn or the Square of the Earth. Significance of the arrangements of the numbers on the giant tortoise feature prominently in the following: 1. The Chinese system of time dimensions alsotakes into account the number Nine (9). Here, time is divided into 9 ages, each lasting 20 years: Three 20 year ages make up one period. A full cycle consists of a total of 180 years. Each period is assigned a number, from one to nine. 2. The Luo Shu Square with its 3 x 3 grid or nine sectors is also used in Compass School Feng Shui called The Flying Star Theory (Xuan Kong Fei Xing). The Luo Shu Square helps the Feng Shui practitioner to analyze a site, a house, a flat (apartment) and/or an office space or building. It is used to unlock the time dimension of Feng Shui and allows the practitioner to accurately know when is the best time to make changes to the site, the home or the interior decoration. Could this be the actual tortise?

Spectacular 'Red plant': Firebrand
This is a very easy to grow especially just plant into the ground and "forget" about it!. It does not have flowers.. But, it's natural reddish colour is spectacular! Those that get the right sunlight will turned a beautiful maroon with chilli red tones or hews in it's leaves. Little sunlight and it turns light brown to even dull "blood clot" red that looks like rust coloured plants. Chinese love or consider red colour auspicious. This is why, this person, landscaped the public walkway outside his home with lots of "red variety" plants. This plant's scientific name is Cordyline fruitcosa and it belongs to the Agavaceae family.

Traditional households store rice in bins
Further to what I had mentioned:- 1. The see thru pastice rice bin is available to the NTUF Fairprice at SGP$7.90. 2. While the wooden barrel, that symbolises "a traditional" wealth bin costs SGP$33.00 and available at the so called "higher end" or "private" Cold Storage supermarket. 3. Frankly, I am surprised that when it comes to deployment: it does not mean that those who stay in a condo or landed property tend to buy or use Para 2: the wooden "wealth" barrel. 4. On the contrary, I have seen more who stay in a condo uses the more "practical" see thru rectangular bin: In my opinion, most likely due to space constraints and that this see thru is more practical: need not move especially for some who keep this bin in their store room - easily pour in a new bag of rice each time. 5. As for those standing in landed properties; I see more using the so called "higher end" SGP$33 wooden barrel one. 5.1 For those who stay in government housing board flats; maybe because many of the older flats have larger more spacious kitchens and because of greater number of older folks who view symbolism over function: 5.2 although the barrel often has to be carried out from the storage cabinet; but it symbolises wealth and even if rice is empty, it is not seen - thus from the outside no one can tell whether it is full or empty unless oneremoves the lid. 6. Thisreminds me of our former Prime Minister :Mr Goh Chock Tong. Heonce said : to understand or find out more of a family; go visit their toilet! 6.1. So the next time, you visityour relatives or friends; do check out their toilet and hahahaha... their rice bin... to "reveal some " of their hidden aspirations especially those using thewooden bin or for some; they prefer functionover symbolism cum aspiration...

Centrepoint of the house
1. In my opinion, frankly having reviewed hundred thousands of layout plans for both the developersand consumers (buyers); few would even use the correlation of the "centre of gravity" as the premiseto determine the layout plan. If you look at it carefully, there is nothing magical or hocus pocus about determining the centrepoint. 2.As in your the case the layout plan that you had furnished shows the toilet at the centrepoint. This is considered one "major" leak. And oftern from my past experience, one"major" leak in a home or up to at leasttwo to three can still be sustainable. More "leaks" and the home or apartment literally goes downhill. Jess C. wrote: Wow Master Lee, you explained really well, I have actually showed the layout that I posted to many and they are not able to determine the centre of the house. As I read that if the toilet is at the centre of the house it is inauspicious. Hence, I think the design of the houses by developer is really important.

Centrepoint of the house
In this illustration, again the centrepoint is an estimation based roughly on the premise that all missing corners should roughly equal to the area of the protusion. In fact, I should have made the LIGHT BLUE (CYAN) coloured area a little bit more smaller in area. Thus the centrepoint or centre of gravity should move slightly upwards in this layout plan. Neverthless, I am confident that it is quite close the the center of gravity.
-
Centrepoint of the house
1. This layout plan is also not exactly rectangular. 2. Using the "RULE-OF-THUMB" method, try to imagine the largest rectangular surface area and if possible; the area of missing corner should where possible be close to the amount or area of the protrusions. 3. Again, for those who are not that expert in determining the center of gravity of the layout plan = centrepoint, can again, make a photocopy of the layout; paste it on a hard cardboard, cut-out the outline and try to balance it on a name. This is the "Stone age" method. If really not sure, then go for this stonehenge method...
