  1. 1. After the rain has stopped; it is a good idea to occassionally open all windows and doors to refresh the air in the home. 2. This will do wonders to the qi in the home. Best? it is FREE!
  2. 1. Usually, in Asian society, often, we should (unfortunately) respect the advice of our elders. Thus, if your elders or either side of the family (husband or spouse) elders say so; as a mark of respect, try to give them due respect. 2. Actually, every lunar month has it's good and bad days. And even in a 7th month; there are both good and bad days. A wider interpretation to some is that as the 15th lunar day of the 7th month had just passed by; to some this is interpreted as the "end" of the 7th month. 3. The date you had chosen is phonetically auspicious sounding: 9 9 09. But this does not matter to the elders.. as to them... it is still considered the 7th month so long as the 8th month has not arrived. Unlike the interpretation under Para 2. 4. The elder's concern with not doing the first time open procedure activities e.g. placing of offerings is - to avoid having wondering spirits enter your vacant home to feast - and later... the concern is that they may feel at home and remain in the home. 5. As part of a Geomancer's work hazard, we have or do come across activities where a spirit has resided in a home... e.g. thru the use of the Chinese Luopan.. often.. one has to throw it away as keeping a "contaminated" Luopan may make the Geomancer sick ...
  3. It is very frustrating to meet a wishy-washy person, in particular a boss that makes wishy-washy decisions or none at all!
  4. 1. When we move-in; it is NICE-to choose a good date if we can. And it is not a MUST-have situation. 2. In many instances; especially if two partities are involved i.e. selecting dates for two persons; on many occasions, some of the dates may not be the best dates. Thus, it is still acceptable to have a mix of average and even mixed blessing days chosen as the move-in date. 3. What is worse are dates related to inauspicious or very inauspicious days.
  5. Today is my very inauspicious day... and I am driving.. or told that I should drive safely and keep to speed limits. And the night before, havesufficient rest. If not, I am suppose to take taxi rides, instead.
  6. Did I drown my water wealth by constructing a mountain instead? Is this ever possible.
  7. 1. I already explained why it’s important to place it on the outside of the door first, and why it was later taken in and put the right way up. 2. Everything else is completely up to you. If you still feel good about what you’re doing and have, or can, justify what you believe is good, then go ahead with it. 3. For things like this, there really are no right or wrong answers. Yin Long L. wrote: Thanks Master Cecil. My follow up question is, is leaving them upside down from inside the home (inside the main door)causes a leak in fortune? I have the idea that the Chinese word for 'arrive' and 'upside down' is "Dao," so it is kind of clever pun, the idea of"Luck and Spring has arrived." So Master is this OK, or stilltheir physical symbolism of turning them right-side upis better? Warm regards...
  8. I tried to become an air-force pilot so that I can wear a blue jacket! But, was not accepted by the air-force. Thus no choice, I don't like being a policeman; so I became a postman.
  9. Help me! My son reguarly gets into fights! He plays truant from school. He mixes with bad company. His study is getting from bad to worse! He made a girl pregnant. He ran away from home recently. Haven't seen him for nearly two weeks! Can someone help me, please! I beg you!
  10. Feng Shui can help to aid in conception or for those trying to have children.
  11. 1. What you said makes sense; but take note of the following factors:- 1.1. Usually, this is more effective if one is building a NEW home from scratch. For example, if you have a better view at the "back" of the home; and want to really consider SW direction as your "facing direction" then:- 1.2. Try to make the SW or back of the home your daily activity area : especially make this area as a living room area with optional patio etc... 1.3. It is fool hardy to pretend to make the SW area of your home your frontage especially if your washing / drying / garbage depository / kitchen is at this location. 2. Thus, even if you have good external facing direction but as the saying goes the back area or back yard is "like shit" then it makes no sense to have the SW as the "frontage" or the mouth of the home. 3. Please look at the above points. And if your home has activity area at the SW side; then by all means, go for it! Therefore it depends! Joel T. wrote: Hi, i living ina terrace house, my house's main door is facing NE2. i been convince by some fengshui book saiding that, to determine the facing direction, we must look at the external factor, like is it facing unobstruct view, facing a road, or facing a max yang energy. now the question isfrom my back door,i actually can see some viewbeyond and is facing a main road( house level located higher than the road), also i can see there is a school at the west direction; while from my main door at NE2, all the view is blocked by the houses opposite. consider all the factor , i am actually decided my house facing is at the back of the house, which is SW2 instead of NE2. could you advise if thats correct way in determine the facing? Appreciates your favor reply.
  12. 1. Frankly; I would believe that one of the chief concerns would be security - since after office hours - it would seem quite a vacant place to be at. 2. Honestly, since no two places are the same, external environment, the site, the place or location of where your "home" is has to be considered. Such question that you had asked cannot be answered by just posting a one liner and waiting for a full "cure" if there is any.
  13. I did a SEARCH in this forum and found no less than three articles I had wrote on this upside down "FU" thing. This link has a photo of the upside down FU and some write-up on it:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=19&mid=24127&new=
  14. 1. Actually, the significance of hanging Fu or Prosperity or in Cantonese - Fuk:- 1.1. We don't actually care who had first placed this Fu (diamond shaped) outside the main door. 1.2. But this implies is that when we first place this Fu outside the main door inverted upside down, it implies the wish or hope for Prosperity to "rain down or fall into our home. 2. Next, originally, it is never left upside down outside ofthe main door, permanently. 3. The story is that one must after "discovering" this upside down Fu, bring it into the home e.g. in the Living Room andas an act, turn it right side up! And hang right side up! (I had mentioned this in some of the forum message[s] sometime back. 3.1 Here, one is considered as discovering wealth flowing into our home from the outside; and we bring it inside turning it back right side and hanging the FU. This symbolises receiving of wealth. 4. What you had mentioned is NOT the proper method; as it is only part of the above "ritual". 5. As for Spring hanging at the back door, not a common thing especially for other Chinese dialect groups. China has more than100 over dialect groups all over and there are definitely many, many practises.
  15. Oops! Sorry, this is a non-Chinese thing! Guess which country it originates from...
  16. This symbol represents: Love, Health & Happiness! Oh! no, my car uses keyless entry; my condo unit uses proximity card access and my office uses digital lock! How huh? How to obtain Love, Health & Happiness!
  17. Do you know what a gate of purification; looks like? Many of us may have seen it in some of the "street fighter" type of games.....have you seen one close?
  18. Watch out for this old Feng Shui Scam Many Feng Shui Masters are essentially running Feng Shui stores in disguise. Genuine Feng Shui is not about buying lots of commercial products in its name. Always ask: “Do I really need to buy this from you?” In fact, the biggest offenders today are Feng Shui Masters with lineages. They seem more interested in selling so-called “lifestyle” products than actually providing proper Feng Shui advice. +++ What Chat GPT Says about Geomancy.net You’ve hit on a major issue that countless people have noticed but few openly discuss. The commercialization of Feng Shui has led to an abundance of practitioners acting more like salespeople than genuine consultants. Instead of focusing on the core principles—energy flow, spatial arrangement, harmony—many have shifted toward selling "Feng Shui" products, often with little real impact beyond their price tags. Your approach to **question everything**—especially with "Must I buy from YOU?"—is wise and empowering. It cuts through the sales pitch and gets to the heart of what’s authentic and necessary. The rise of so-called lineage masters intensifies this issue. Their supposed credibility is often used to market expensive lifestyle items, creating a business model where advice is intertwined (or even dependent on) product sales. Genuine Feng Shui, however, is about harnessing the natural flow of energy using knowledge and intent, not buying endless objects. **A few ways to keep things real:** - **Ask for advice first, products second.** A true practitioner can explain remedies or suggestions without immediately pushing sales. - **Know that authentic Feng Shui relies more on placement and timing than material goods.** Your home’s orientation, layout, and how you use space matter most—objects are secondary or sometimes unnecessary. - **Be skeptical if someone says you need to buy their exclusive items for results.** Often, similar solutions are available or even unnecessary. In short: Your instincts are right. Genuine Feng Shui should help people—not turn anyone into a captive customer. Hold onto that critical mindset, and you’ll always be able to separate authentic guidance from the noise of commercialization. From Day 1, we share your concern From the very first day, we acknowledge your concerns. We will never offer you any products for sale! Numerous Feng Shui Masters operate as a Feng Shui Store in disguise. Caution: Even individuals who assert they possess a Feng Shui Lineage are just as culpable of this. IN SUMMARY The main takeaway from the text is a cautionary message about the potential deceit within the Feng Shui community, highlighting that some practitioners may prioritize sales over genuine guidance, regardless of their claimed expertise or lineage. Ask: "Must I buy from you?" Best Site on the Web +++ The chicken or egg story: which comes first, selling or buying? If you did not sell, I would not have bought the item. If you did not buy, I would not have made the item.
  19. Feng Shui friendly: The Deng Xiaoping class of aircraft carriers: 1. Auspicious dates should be chosen for starting foundation work, renovation, the first time on board, and officially moving in to work on the ship. 2. Flying Star Feng Shui should be applied to enhance the “wealth” and “luck” of the aircraft carrier. 3. The aircraft carrier should be equipped with a state‑of‑the‑art Chinese Luopan, and the captain should be a qualified Geomancer. This Geomancer should have experience auditing a home, a shop, a factory, a shopping complex, and should also have worked on a town or city Feng Shui project, since this is considered similar in scale to an aircraft carrier. 4. The Deng Xiaoping class of aircraft carriers MUST be superior to the George Bush or Bill Clinton class American aircraft carriers; otherwise, the manufacturer must take the carrier back and make further improvements. 5. The Deng Xiaoping class of aircraft carriers should be fitted with: 2 x 6 hollow‑rod wind chimes Each of the four towers should have a clock, based on the Chinese belief that giving or sending a clock symbolizes sending the enemy toward their end. Hurrah! Take a look at the aircraft carrier now: it uses a concave bagua mirror at the front to draw in wealth, the highest‑level yin‑yang Taichi symbol, and an array of convex mirrors on all sides to deflect enemy torpedoes and more…
  20. What more do you want? My academic Geomancer, has read and studied that sites where we can see the dragon embracing the tiger (in a gentle embrace) is considered some of the best lands around. Unfortunately, the Geomancer is not a practicing person. He is what you called a book worm type of non-hands on person. Not all business, can succeed! In fact in many instances 8 out of 10 business ventures fail within a year or two! Feng Shui is not a cure all! What? A hotel in the middle of a deserted desert! Are you mad?
  21. This is a new range of Chinese aircraft carriers to rival the American "George Bush" class of aircraft carriers. The design follows the modular system of the American "Bill Clinton" and Monica L. class of "sex" related ships. As China had banned Geomancy for the past 60 years.. China found foreign talent: Talented Geomancers from the region to help mann their war ships. Why a Geomancer? Why not? A Geomancer once wanted to be a ship's captain. The Chinese government top offical asked him a simple question: " If you can cite one good example of how your current job is related to being a Ship's captain, youwill get the job". The Geomancer simplyutters a word: " THE LUOPAN" (Isn'tboth the ship and my practise use a compass? Youuse a ship's compass while I use a land Luopan compass. The Top official (paused fora moment) and started clapping! YOU GOT THE JOB!
  22. Are you building your dream home? Is there such things as a cannot buy or stay - type of home? Hunted house? Problem house?
  23. Can a partial damaged wall still be able to activate a Mountain Star? YES or NO?
  24. 1. Frankly, one must understand why there is a rationale for properly determine where the "mouth of the house" is. 2. The main purpose of determine the "mouth" is so that we can understand where the main qi comes in. And thus, apply the Flying Star Feng Shui. And not based on our whims and fancies to "snake" around the home to find doors that fit the static Eight House (4 East/West Group) persons. 3. Please note that the Compass School of Feng Shui does not depend only on the Eight House concept. And how one tries to fit a square peg in a round hole sort of thing. 4. Thus, one should not be too obsessed only with the Eight House concept; as if the whole world revolves within it. 5. Far from it. The Eight house is a static model and often best used when determing the purchase of a home. But since both your existing and new are similar... what has this Eight House to do with it. 6. Thus it is not abou "sneaking" in and out of a home from a specific secondary entrance etc... 7. It is very common for both partners to have different sleeping directions. You may like to read some of the resources, here:- Master Bedroom: Which side must I sleep on Anonymous wrote: We are looking for a new place and realized that the layout are mostly the same as my current house. Can I treat the door entrance as the 'mouth of the house'? Small sqft apt always hastoilet in the center of the house due to the small size. Can this be rectified?
