  1. Our Tampines Hub ... Really a big hub... Meeting with clients ... here
  2. Location: 241 Hougang The only cushioned seat.. and the cat knows how to take a power ? lol
  3. This HDB plot has blocks that has to "wrap-around" a rectangular mosque...
  4. Case Study 8B: Part 2 - Site visit on 24.11.2019 to have a better appreciation of the site and it's surroundings. The roof-line of Our Tampines Hub can be a potential poision arrow if it is aimed towards a unit's opening such as the living room or bedroom windows :- Another angle of the roof jutting out.. Can you see the roof of Our Tampines Hub? And the protuding roof? This can be a poison arrow... This photo shows the flat "protuding roof" of Our Tampines Hub:- Photos taken towards AIA Tower and Hitachi Square. These commerical buildings don't seem to have sharp corners aimed towards HDB Tampines Greenspring. This is because, these buildings are parallel to the road and not angled towards Tampines Greenspring:- Photos taken west of the plot (towards Tampine Walk) of land towards HDB Block 858B, MSCP 859B and 860A:- Photos taken north of the plot: showing DBSS Tampines Premiere & DBSS Centrale 8 (one block closer to the fringe of the mosque):- Close-up of Our Tampines Hub west wing...
  5. Case Study 8A: Part 1 - Site visit on 24.11.2019 to have a better appreciation of the site and it's surroundings. Mosque and it’s surroundings... The tower logo of traditional half-moon & star is can be considered a sha qi or poison arrow if a unit's frontage e.g. living room or bedroom windows directly faces it:- Below: the Half-moon and star symbol:- Also if we count the "squares" or outline of the external outlines.. seems like the mosque is at least 9 storeys high! Below: the Sharp corner of this imposing tall mosque can become a poison arrow or sha qi if it is aimed towards a unit's window: living room or bedroom window(s):- In this photo one can clearly see the sharp corner of the mosque:- On this end of the squarish mosque, this corner can also be a poison arrow if it is aimed towards a unit's window:- Close-up photo of the corner of the mosque:- Another photo angle of the sharp corner of the mosque:- Currently the plot of land is totally vacant with a scant of grass field and muddy sand:- Another photo of the sharp corner of the mosque:- Took this photo at Our Tampines Hub looking towards the spine of the mosque and almost all of the mosque:-
  6. Reasonable priced @$2.80 for a basic bowl of porridge served in a standard wanton noodle bowl. The you tiao is light crispy wow! Nice! General balls of minced meat balls.
  7. REST IN PEACE Fatal accident involving a migrant worker on 22 November 2019 at 339 Anchorvale Road or known as Anchorvale Village. He was 37 years old from Bangladesh. He was caught between metal barricades and the metal counterweight of a crane when the crane rotated. R.I.P.
  8. 1. I shall not name this condo development. (It is close to Botanic Gardens.) 2. This condo T.O.P. in 2004. [Around 15 + years old today]. 3. Frankly, relatively quite new as compared to many other condos. 4. However, it is surprising to find a square servicing ceiling panel directly outside each unit's door. 4.1 Left: Can you see a faint square outlines? Right: Have highlighted the access panel in RED:- 4.2 A photo of the access panel of a different unit:- 5. Can you see the stain marks on the main entrance door near to the frame of the door in this unit:- 5.1. This is another unit. And the stains are more obvious:- 5.2 These stains normally do not happen by accident. 5.3. Common sense, I strongly believe it may come from water leaks. 5.4. Putting two and two together, most likely if one opens the ceiling service panel it should contain some water pipes or even drainage pipes. 6. Many conservative Feng Shui Masters will definitely say that it is not good to have utility water pipes of any sort... running above the main door. 6.1. Here, for the practical person with or without Feng Shui, knows that it has more to do with common sense! 6.2. Under Symbolism in Feng Shui also not really good. 7. This is a case of a lousy planner and/or architect or designer who planned the design of the main door. 8. Look, here, the door may when new looks classy.. but who in the right mind add wood panels on the door handle? 8.1. Especially at the most used or vulnerable area of the door.. that needs to be able to take abuse! 8.2. Below: Photo shows a sample of one of the door frame and the door handle.. a sight for sore eyes! 8.3. The doors and door panels are of soft-wood.. which cannot take normal wear and tear! 9. The maxim: "Even if one does not stay there, one should do always do your best!" P.S. This suppose to be a Freehold condo. But looks so....
  9. Case Study 7: The unit numbering of this development always ends at a odd number. 1. For example: #03-395, #05-391 etc... 2. Thus there will never be a #04-144, #14-44 etc... As some Chinese consider such numbers inauspicious. 3. As these are at least three digit numbers other than the floor levels, there is also no "13". 4. Actually this unlucky number 13 has more to do with a western influence: 4.1. In my opinion Singapore Airlines in the past adopted this perhaps felt that they should pamper the westerners ... and till this day.. in all my flights at the front of the plane, where I sit around these numbers, 4.2. I always try to observe it. And yes, so far, I yet to see a #13 seat
  10. 23.11.2019 Nasi Padang food This plate costs A reasonable $5.90. Very popular stall! Never fail to visit this stall if around the area for an audit.
  11. On 23 November 2019 How appropriate... maroon frangipanni flowers in the jacuzzi!
  12. Hi Robert, With reference to the house move-in procedures posted on your website, " CHARCOAL - A red charcoal stove (Optional) - A charcoal (representing gold) wrapped in Red paper. One can bring this in and need not light it up. But if one wants to light up, then do it before the auspicious time. And bring in the red charcoal stove into the house. In this option, the stove has to be kept permanently in the house e.g. kitchen cabinet and must not throw it away.(Optional) An alternative is to light up the charcoal red-hot and when it is time, transfer the charcoal from the outside of the house to the kitchen stove-top. " 1) Does it mean that charcoal stove is optional but charcoal wrapped in red paper is needed? 2) There is no need for" light up the charcoal red-hot and when it is time, transfer the charcoal from the outside of the house to the kitchen stove-top.", right? Thanks! Reply: 1. Optional. If no charcoal stove, charcoal wrapped in red paper is also not needed. This is because, when time to keep the charcoal stove, good to place wrapped charcoal on top of the stove. 2. Nowadays more and more skip this for safety reasons. And also for ECs or condos, there is a smoke detector outside each lift lobby at the common area
  13. Different types of cement and adhesives
  14. Tradesman often have a metal box to keep their tools ... so that they don’t have to bring them along each day... On-site carpentry works..
  15. Case Study 7: The unit numbering of this development always ends at a odd number. 1. For example: #03-133, #05-135 etc... 2. Thus there will never be a #04-144, #14-44 etc... As some Chinese consider such numbers inauspicious. 3. As these are at least three digit numbers other than the floor levels, there is also no "13". 4. Actually this unlucky number 13 has more to do with a western influence: 4.1. Most likely Singapore Airlines adopted this perhaps to cater to the western culture of number 13 as bad luck! And not concerned with seat 4, 14 or 44.
  16. 1. The day one sleeps overnight in the unit is considered as the day of move-in. 2. Thus usually, it is nice-to move-in on an auspicious date. 3. What you mentioned above; is firstly practical and has been done before. 4. Thus you are or will not be alone on this. 5. It's okay.
  17. Many Feng Shui Masters are actually a Feng Shui Product Store Ask: "Must I buy from YOU?"
  18. Case Study 7: Any concern with the Bin Centre (PWCS)? 1. The planners of this estate did a marvelous job in not only placing the Bin Centre tucked at one corner but also sandwiched it with the Electrical Sub-Station (ESS) as a buffer with the nearest stacks 310, 300, 302 308. 1.1. In addition, the bin centre also next to the temple... as to whether the future temple supervisors like it or not, the temple people has no control over it. 2. Thus no issue for stacks in HDB Garden Vines. 3. It may become a stigma for the the future design of the directly opposite : "Site reserved for Future High rise residential development. 3.1. As mentioned, this is as they say "not our problem" .... at Garden Vines! LOL! 4. The PWCS system relies on suction. And when I first visited CDL's The Venue, there was a signage with so many Don't do this Don't do that on that single signage above the common bin. 4.1 Extracted this photo from a previous posting on The Venue at Potong Pasir:- 4.2 Above: This are a total of Twelve (12) Don'ts! Can you figure what they are? 4.3. A few weeks later, I see an advisory notice with photos of the clogged bin pipes... and not to throw certain items down the chute.... 4.4. This is because the vacuum suction many not be able to move heavy objects.. even things like liquid waste in a sealed plastic bag may have a problem. 4.5. But I believe eventually, and hopefully if all residents do their part, this may not be of a common occurence!
