  3. The concept of even if we don’t stay there applies... Question: No need salt right? I see some of the neigbours take salt Reply: 1. Salt usually for old homes. 2. Salt is acidic... sprinkle at own risks especially on laminate floors. 3. This is the reason I did not add it in

  5. Today, I visited a client who currently stayed a Punggol Breeze (near time Oasis LRT/Oasis Terrace). I known this client since their first home in Tampines + this home which I also FS around 9 years ago. Their two children’s names were also chosen by us. We were discuss their new yet to T.O.P. Condo unit.. The Mrs confided that in these nine years, she could occasionally smell pungent “gas” smell...not cooking .. but some chemical smells... within her unit.

  7. Frankly this precisely echoes what this 25 year old forum is all about! Simply, this forum reviews key macro considerations specific to a development. And not unit 642. Who else in this forum cares about a unit called 642? Thus, please don't waste your time posting such requests.
  8. Please note that a degree in common sense is Free! No need to obtain it from any degree mill! In fact many non-theory based Feng Shui is based simply on pure cow sense.. sorry I mean common-the-sense.
  9. If uncertain, make sure it carries a "green rating or label". If unsure, verify that it possesses a "green rating or label".If you have doubts, consider visiting a reliable supplier or seeking help from a reputable ID or contractor.
  10. The primary takeaway from the text is that a significant majority, specifically 90%, of individuals who communicate via WhatsApp or email do so without revealing their names. This highlights a trend of anonymity in digital communication. A local: WhatsApp at 5am also can. LOL? Thus if you don’t have any business to WhatsApp/SMS Please don’t.
  11. Question: Can you give an example of what is truly unique about thus development? Frankly, this is how it has to be. Truly one of a kind in Singapore. Logically, this is still a traffic junction and the standard Highway Code applies. Fortunately, PMDs are now banned from pedestrian crossings and roads. This makes it much less likely for such accidents to happen. So, who says potential accidents can’t be prevented?
  12. Recently Just T.O.P. PARC Riviera... Much more friendly sidewalk bollard lamp... especially child friendly as these lamp bollards are pretty tall... I would expect or imagine once a while, some toy dog owners may even temporarily tie their dogs to this.. LOL In addition, these lamp posts are taller than a regular five year old toddler.. thus no threat to any toddler’s eyes or head...

  14. Case Study 5: On 23 December 2019 - Authorities issue safety advisory on 17 models of Elmark ceiling fans, products being recalled. Source and credit: Todayonline https://www.todayonline.com/singapore/elmark-recalls-17-models-ceiling-fans-due-potential-safety-hazards-enterprise-singapore SINGAPORE — Enterprise Singapore on Monday (Dec 23) warned consumers to stop using certain models of ceiling fans by Elmark Marketing, due to safety hazards such as possible electrocution. Elmark, which distributes fans in Singapore and has a store in Ubi, is recalling the 17 models in question “with immediate effect”, Enterprise Singapore said in its statement. Other potential safety hazards posed by the fans include the risk they may fall, cause lacerations and fire, the safety authority added. While Enterprise Singapore has not received reports of injuries, consumers should exercise caution as these ceiling fans did not comply with its product safety requirements, it said. Consumers should call or email Elmark for further details on exact recall instructions, including how to identify the model number of their products. Ceiling fans are classified as controlled goods under the Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Regulations (CPSR), which means they must be tested to meet relevant safety standards and registered with the authority. They can be advertised and sold here only when the product has been affixed with a safety mark. Consumers should look out for this safety mark when purchasing household products, said the agency. They could also search through the Register of Controlled Goods to check if the product is one that is registered with Enterprise Singapore. Anyone with ceiling fans is advised to contact the fan supplier for checks at least once every two years, not to install the fan on an unstable ceiling or wet and moist area, not to press down on the fan blades during cleaning and to clean them frequently with only warm water. “Enterprise Singapore takes a serious view towards suppliers who do not comply with the requirements under CPSR and will not hesitate to take action against errant suppliers,” Enterprise Singapore said. It added that anyone found guilty of supplying unregistered controlled goods is liable upon conviction to a fine not exceeding S$10,000, or imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years, or both. TODAY has reached out to Elmark for comments. Its ceiling fan models being recalled... Source & Credit: https://www.todayonline.com/singapore/elmark-recalls-17-models-ceiling-fans-due-potential-safety-hazards-enterprise-singapore +++ Summary DC fans provide superior energy efficiency, versatile airflow options, and smoother, quieter operation compared to traditional AC fans, though they often come with a higher initial cost. Key Takeaways - DC fans are more energy efficient and cost less to run long-term than AC fans, despite higher upfront costs. - DC fans can rotate in both directions, enabling upward or downward airflow for flexible circulation, especially in rooms with high ceilings. - The number of fan blades impacts noise and smoothness; more blades generally mean quieter and more stable fans. - Fans with fewer blades tend to wobble and make more noise. - Not all AC or DC fans can reverse airflow, so this feature should be checked before buying. - Reversing airflow can help circulate air in rooms with glass windows or unique layouts, but may not suit everyone’s needs. - Users can switch back to standard airflow modes if upward circulation is ineffective.
