  1. “Please dry yourself after swim before entering the lift lobbies” Common in most condos.. with inconsiderate persons around.. Location: The Rainforest @ Chua Chu Kang
  2. Unfortunately this cocoon like fencing can be an eye-sore especially if it is poorly maintained - if at all. Looks so yucky...close-up.. don’t you think so? Aliens? The planners or architects or designers of this fencing should be lined-up along this fence and executed... Missing slap....
  3. Latest recycle bin sign Location: Blk 684B HDB Waterway View
  4. Bicycle rack: This design or it’s variations are common. However, it uses square instead of rounded stainless steel tubes Location: HDB Waterway View in Punggol: Just T.O.P.
  5. Latest photos on Coco Palms: “Final Release choice units are now available” Usually this means “We still have unsold units” Please buy from us now!
  6. “New HDB flats with flexible layouts” A term which simply means “we are using drywalls in your flat too!” In the last few years; many new HDB flats has played catch-up with the condominiums and ECs. To make it sound nicer; the use of drywall’s has led to a nicer sounding theme: “New HDB flats with flexible layouts” This is to say that all older HDB flats inner walls were once constructed with hollow-bricks or pre-cast concrete slabs. But today, I have come across many new HDB estates using such dry walls: Ang Mo Kio, Sengkang, Punggol, Yishun and many other new estates. I believe this should be no different for this November BTO launch.. There are also now two central rubbish bins: recycle and regular. Most would also consider where is this in relation to the main door of their potential unit. This is the specifications of HDB Northshore Edge:
  7. Tampines: HDB Upcoming BTO Launches - November 2017 Link to the full review of HDB Tampines Greencourt:- HDB Tampines Greencourt I always wondered when the virgin forest at Tampines Avenue 12 will be annexed for development. Finally, it has arrived. And a large plot with 2,200 units. One good thing is that this plot is almost surrounded by proposed park. A plus point. Even if it is at the fringe of Tampines North. And a stone throw away from gateway between Tampines / Pasir Ris. And that Tampines Expressway (TPE). Given that the TPE is two streets away from this plot; units facing North or NE (depending on the block layout) would definitely look towards Elias Green / The Palette / D'Nest without enduring the traffic noise coming from TPE.
  8. Sengkang: HDB Upcoming BTO Launches - November 2017 HDB Anchorvale Village and HDB Fernvale Glades Once upon a time, this area was a fish/ farm land. And the main entry into this plot of land was via Jalan Kayu. I remembered in the 1978/79 and early 1980's when I was in NS; we took three-tonners at designated locations in Singapore for our course(s) at School of Manpower Management. The moment our three-tonners reached Yio Chu Kang Road heading towards Jalan Kayu; the "perfume" and that distinct smell of "pigs and other animals" soon woke us up as we entered the gates of Seletar camp... Anyway, that was a long time ago. And all these were non-existent after the year 2000 onwards. With the opening of a new SengKang West Road, it will be accessible from both areas. Cannot blame that many are weary that they may get a unit directly facing Ju Eng Home for senior citizens. There is also a proposed church. And across Jalan Kayu, there is also a Chinese temple. I am sure, with or without Feng Shui, many will take notice of these buildings before selecting a flat. HDB Anchorvale Village: Review here: HDB Fernvale Glades:
  9. [Please go to this link for the full review of HDB Northshore Edge:- 4. Units closer to Northshore Walk would mean that it will not be affected by a new future road (traffic noise) as well as some of these flats might enjoy sea view. 5. As this plot is at the North-west sector of Punggol, for those who are adverse to afternoon sun; do take a second look before commiting to a such a unit. However, a plus is that this is where usually, the sea view is to be expected. Please go to this link for the full review of HDB Northshore Edge:-
  10. The full review of HDB Eunos Court:- Geylang = Eunos: HDB Upcoming BTO Launches - November 2017 Amongst November 2017's BTO launch, these flats in Geylang: Eunos is within walking distance to Eunos MRT station. From a Feng Shui point of view; this plot wraps around the existing HDB Eunos Court. And for those who currently own a unit there: especially block 33 and 34 will find out that their views towards the west will be obstructed by these new flats. As well as to endure construction noise for the next two plus years. Units facing North closer to Eunos Avenue 5 would be (MRT track noise) buffered by the above development. And may have unobstructed views if higher than the two storey Eunos industrial estate buildings To the right of this photo below is the plot of land:- Currently the land next to this new HDB site. It is a storage area for construction materials:-
  11. HDB Upcoming BTO Launches - November 2017 in Punggol, Sengkang, Eunos (Geylang) & Tampines According to HDB, the next BTO launch is expected to take place in November 2017. Non-Mature Towns/ Estates: Punggol with 4 & 5 rooms 390 flats Sengkang with a larger mix 2, 3, 4, 5 & 3Gen with 1,500 flats Mature Towns/ Estates: Geylang (actually in Eunos) with 2, 3 & 4 with 740 flats Tampines with 2, 3, 4 & 5 rooms with the largest 2,200 units
  12. Damaged tile flooring is rarely seen in residential interiors such as living rooms, dining areas, and bedrooms. However, during the 1980s, some local residences utilized broken marble tiles that were sealed with epoxy, typically in shades of white, cream, or a hint of pink. While Feng Shui does not specifically address this issue, the field of Symbolism offers additional insights. Some individuals associate the term 'broken' with negative connotations. In contrast, no one would consider uniformly laid rectangular tiles to be undesirable, as this is the conventional approach to tile installation. Nevertheless, the herringbone pattern for floor tiles can evoke discomfort in some due to its pointed design. Again, this has more to do with Symbolism than Feng Shui.
  13. HDB Dawson Site HDB DAWSON VISTA This development that onlyhas two blocks 78 and 79 has stacks that either face Period 8 Flying stars N3 or S3:- N3 = 57, 61, 63 & 65 S3 = 51, 53, 55 & 59 Block 78 Stack 51 has it's kitchen at NW sector = Inauspicious Fire at Heaven's Gate. Thus be extra careful in the kitchen layout. N3 Stacks/Units = 57, 61, 63 & 65 has the double auspicious #8's wasted at the "back" or rear (kitchen/yard) of the unit. Thus has less favourable luck than the S3 stacks. S3 = stacks 51, 53, 55 & 59 are the best stacks for a East group person. As both frontage enjoys the double auspicious #8 wealth stars. And furthermore their facing directions has water. Bring great wealth. 1. Attached, please find a sample illustration of a Flying Star Period 8, S2 chart. 2. In the attachment: it is advantages for the [8] & [8] which symbolises : Prosperity, good wealth at the frontage of the home. Vs a N2 facing where this good stars are wasted at the "rear" which is usually the kitchen/yard area. 3. The only concern for a S2 facing chart is that so often, the kitchen may be located at NW sector. Which in Feng Shui is called: "Fire at Heaven's Gate". And this can affect the male breadwinner's career luck. 4. Thus for a South facing (S2) best to select a unit where the kitchen is either at North or North-east sector is preferred.
  14. Don’t want the clock face to be seen from my living room...
  15. The Flying Star directions of blocks 13 and 13A which have the same directions: N1 or S1 Thus these two stacks seems to roughly follow the contour of the slight curved Toh Tuck Road.

  21. Based on a quick glance; the bigger 5 bedroom type: Block 96, stack 86 most likely has it’s kitchen at the inauspicious NW or commonly known as “ Fire at Heavens Gate”. Three other stacks circled in blue have a much smaller footprint; thus on a quick glance; most likely have this same issue. But nevertheless, it is good to confirm if this is correct.
  22. I will get back to that area when I next get an opportunity to do a review.
