  1. 1. Please note that the review is on 5 bedroom type. And not other bedroom types. Thus 42 & 44 happens to be facing NE1. 2. Under Flying Stars: NE1 happens to have auspicious water wealth #8 under Period 8. Thus this is its main advantage. As it's corresponding #8 mountain star is at the rear. Thus These two are its saving grace until year 2022... 2023 when it gradually change period. 3. As mentioned, other then these Two "wonder" stars till 2022..2023.. 2024. Other sectors have bad stars. For eg. The centre palace has the nasty #5 misfortune and sickness with #2 sickness stars. 4. The roof line of United world college can be a poison arrow. 5. Overall, this whole development is like most developments. And as it's three sides are facing the road, it pales in comparison to some other developments. 6. Common sense says that many don't want to be too close or earful to a fire station. If the fire engines turn on their siren etc... who is there to tell the not so. 7. Schools : if one is not directly facing a school... what is the concern? It's roof-line? Assembly area etc.
  2. Toa Payoh Lorong 8: Mellben seafood is also here, today
  3. Block 377 Bukit Batok Vista under construction
  4. It has more to do with Flying Star Feng Shui. For example, stacks/units with SW1 facing - best to disarm bad stars. Thus, more to do with any home TOP in Period 8 that has say a SW1 direction. As an example. It can be a soho or just any other developments with such facing directions.
  5. These are some considerations:- Out of say a total of 100 marks:- 1. 70 percent goes to "Location, location and location = Internal and External Factors". Thus one of the most critical is the last resort of stacks facing the expressway. 1.1. As expressways are like water courses and vehicles going more than 70 km to 90 km ain't exactly slow. Thus this is like a fast water course. Inauspicious under the Water classics. 1.2. White pollution = noise pollution from vehicles along the busy expressway all day round with exception of lesser traffic around the wee hours of any day or Sundays. 1.3. Thus stacks facing the highway will have much poorer marks or the dice loaded against it; the moment one buys such stacks. 2. As mentioned above: Location, location and location = Shapes and Forms accounts for nearly 70 percent of the total marks. 3. The last 30 percent of the marks goes to Compass School Feng Shui. 3.1. There are two concepts under the Compass School: Eight House (e.g. such as bed head facing West) and Flying Star Feng Shui. 3.2. Here, Flying Star Feng Shui accounts for the bulk of the luck as much as 25 percent. And the remainder 5 percent goes to such things as "your bed head facing west". 4. In summary as a rough guide:- Shapes and Forms Feng Shui (Location, location and location) = 70 % Flying Star Feng Shui = 25 % Eight House Feng Shui = 5% ---------------------------------------------- Total Max score = 100 % ==========================
  6. The term in Mandarin is Ming Tang (Bright Hall)
  7. I suppose this shop located at the heart of old Hougang Block 6 Hougang. Most likely not be around in a few years time..
  8. There are two considerations, here:- 1. Under Feng Shui: Shapes and Forms + Water classics 2. Common sense (which often translate to Common sense Feng Shui) Under Para 1: 1.1. Vehicles on roads are like water courses. And under the Water classics, it is inauspicious to have waterways (roads) that criss-cross. Under the water classics, if this was indeed a cross - water junction; there would be erosion of the banks of this cross junction "stream" or river. And under the water classics; this is a non-natural phenomenon. 1.2. If it was a landed property; once in a million; there may be an accident e.g. vehicle ploughing into the property etc.. But fortunately, this is a high rise and the ground floor pillars are a distance away from the roads. Thus, even if a vehicle were to plough through, there are sufficent deterent or barrier(s) to stop it cold on it's tracks. 2. Common sense says that there will be "white pollution" or white noise caused by vehicles such as buses, cars and sometimes by motorcycles. Sometimes, we could hear them at early hours of the day. 3. Other factors: Can be a positive or negative:- 3.1. Positive in that the unit has unobstructed view at least between it; the road and the next road - as compared to some of the units in the development that faces each other. 3.2. Negative? Especially if the unit is facing the afternoon sun or directly facing the afternoon sun. Here, there is literally: no-where to hide from it. As there are no other blocks or stacks blocking the unit.
  9. If some how, there is an "oversized" wall, then location marked in purple X may be another consideration.
  10. Please note that the unit has limited "real-estate space to place an altar. Assuming it is a Guan Yin altar, then: 1st choice are either A or B. But do take note that since these locations are close to the bedroom; and if one lights up incense whole day long and if family members are at home most of the time e.g. a retired parent e.g. mum... then concern for lung cancer. Avoid placing altar along the RED line area i.e. facing into the bedroom unless it is at D. Unfortunately, location D and E would eat into either the TV or sofa seating area. And avoid the altar too close to the TV set or hifi unit if on the same wall. Last resort for say a Guan Yin altar is marking E facing towards the main door. But if it is also facing another unit's main door. Some neighbours may consider it a threat and place a ba gua mirror above their main door. Guan Gong is acceptable at marking E.
  11. Note: Relevant info masked out as "XX". Feel free to use the Free reports at the main page : Http://www.geomancy.net and go to Calculators. Under the 2nd attachment; the two boxes highlighted in yellow; can help you determine the colours etc..
  12. These are some considerations: 1. The Eight House concept's most important concepts are that of "Nice-to" face a good direction: be it the bed-head or study/work directions. And also "Nice-to" be in a good sector e.g. NW / West etc.. for a west group person. 2. You wrote: " However, this will face the 'sickness' direction ". The Eight House concept is pretty useless to determine such things. 3. In fact, to determine whether a bedroom has sickness stars, one has to use the other Compass School Feng Shui concept of the Flying Stars. 3.1 See attachment. For example, this bedroom 2 has REAL "sickness stars" of a combination of #2 with #5. #2 = sickness and #5 = misfortune sickness. 3.2 A combination of both results in = [2] & [5] - Stars 2 and 5 meet. This spells trouble. Star 2 will mean sickness in the family (especially your mother). Star 5 would mean some outdoor accident or troubles. 4. Thus, frankly, whichever direction you place a bed be it against the Option A or B or the weird direction in your illustration; it does not matter. One may still fall sick unless one disarms the #2 with #5 combination. 5. Frankly, there are so many other concepts that are more important than this Eight House Thing. Therefore, why pay so much attend into it... If one has the time, go read this link:- http://www.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Three-Step-Approach
  13. 1. In this illustration.. the most likelihood of exposure to joss fumes is location marked as "X2". 2. Although location S1 may also have the same effect, but usually, because it is next to the kitchen door and the main door, it is definitely less of an issue. As it is also furthest to the bedroom area. 3. Other than Para 1 above, X2 is considered the better choice given that there are so many i.e. 3 gods. And one needs a large altar table of usually at least 42 " ; 49 3/4 " or a 5 feet table. 4. Do take note that if the altar table is placed at X2; no one should sleep sharing that same wall as the altar. Anyway, that space should often be a cabinet / wardrope.
  14. 1. In general, assuming there is no modification of the interior walls e.g. shifting the kitchen door / knocking down the master bedroom 2 wall / relocating the door; or placing the altar into a bedroom etc... 2. The attachment are some considerations. However, because of so many gods, locations with a green "S" may not be possible as there is not much space left for the sofa or the TV console etc... 3. Location marked with an "X" not shown in the legend may have a long term "health" concern. 3.1. For example, if there are family members at home most of the time; and if one always lights up joss-sticks, the fumes would often flow into the bedrooms. 3.2. In a local tertiary study, it was found that long term exposure to the joss fumes is akin to second-hand smoke and may cause long term lung cancer.
  15. It depends: 1. Some temples are considered "clean," while others are seen as "dirty." 2. Homes facing northeast or southwest may be a concern, as northeast is thought of as the devil's gate and southwest as its back door. 3. Most temples across the road are not an issue, especially if they are not directly facing the front of your home.
  16. These are some considerations: 1. The eight house concept is considered as "Nice-to" have and not a "Must-have". 2. The key consideration is the statement: "Forms prevail over the stars". 2.1. Here: Forms = (means) Shapes and Forms Feng Shui Stars = (means) Flying Stars Feng Shui and it's sister Compass School concept of the Eight House Theory. 3. Your sample illustration of bed placement in theory of course may suppose to be facing your best South-West direction. 3.1 But like all theories, does not take into account Human Luck factors. 3.2 For example, you may get full marks under the Eight House concept. But if the bed-placement is awkward and given that you have windows to look out of... this is a no-no. 3.3 Many humans need to have a conscious feel of our environment. Thus even if the windows are closed; yet for many, we still can "feel" the light filtering in from the windows and/or when it rains.. 3.4 Pilots always commented that they like not only to have a focused view but also be able to see towards a distance.. For example, if one keeps on studying at a workstation or working on a computer screen for a prolonged time; often. Then when it is time to go outside.. often we may need "thicker and thicker" glasses or eye-wear due to this condition. 3.5 Based on Shapes and Forms, it is inauspicious to have the bed-head facing towards the windows. 3.6 In the past, this was quite different. And even now, if so, some homes have a bay window ledge for this. 4. Thus, the bed placement in your attachment is considered "messy". 4.1. But sadly, there are still lots of geomancers who do not understand the above as well as the element of Human Luck or feeling odd ... situation... be it from self or when visitors comment on such a layout plan. 4.2. Thus, what is the use of facing your "correct" SW when say... go visit a 100 homes and almost nearly no one else does this odd placement. 4.3. I will thus not be surprised to hear that some geomancers give the okay for this layout plan. If so, they have never heard of this statement: "YOU STAY THERE, we (outsiders) don't". 4.3.1 Here, imagine, someone goes to one's home for an hour or two. But WE have to live with it for the rest of our lives if we still own the home. In fact, it is true that some geomancers have even told their clients.. not to use e.g. the Master Toilet. Unbelievable. 4.4 In my opinion, best to have the bed-head or bed placed according to the priority of Shapes and Forms FIRST. 5. For example: ideally the bed should be as placed in the "norm" as shown in the attachment. Options A and B are the norm and not awkard. 6. Frankly, instinctively most of us when we step into a "blank canvass" bedroom; we already have visualise day where we want to place the bed-head normally instead of such "abnormal" directions. 7. Under the Holy Trinity of Chinese Luck system: a. Heaven Luck or born with = 33.33 percent b. Earth Luck or Feng Shui = 33.33 percent c.. Human or man luck is about feeling comfortable = 33.33 percent. 7.1. What the above means is that each of the above 3 accounts for only 33.33 percent of the total luck. 7.2. Thus even if one gets full marks for getting the bed-head direction right, this does not mean one gets fantastic luck. 7.3. Especially, everyday, one stares at the wardrope. And our field of focus is just a short distance with our back against the "openings" the windows. 8. Frankly, I won't want to be caught sleeping in such an ackward direction as in your illustration. Similarly do not have the stomach to give such an advice. The above link: "A better understanding that even if one scores full marks for Feng Shui; it accounts for only 33.33% of the total luck under the Holy Trinity of Chinese Luck system." The only exception is that of Location, location and location. Here, if the location has fantastic Feng Shui, then it makes a lot of difference. But bed placement does not come under this category of "fantastic" luck gain, though.

  18. 1. I first saw this at Canberra One. As this development launched a Group buy. 2. Today, at The Topiary, all the neighbours on this level also install it. 3. There is now a brown coloured version. 4. What happens is when the door closes; the side of the module has a protruding pin that presses the seal down once the main door is fully closed. 5. Thus it is a manual but ingenious invention... But the seller does not seem to want us to see it. 6. Therefore, if we watch the videos we will be clueless or rather intrigued by this. Maybe they want the potential buyer to be amazed by this.

Such as Jurong Drive-in cinema; Ice skating rink; and the various eateries to cater for most of the needs of the near-by factories and homes at familiar names like Kang Ching, Tah Ching, Yuan Ching Road. In the 1990's when "Jurong" Shifted towards Boon Lay and encroaching towards PIE and KJE; This is no longer The Central it once was. As the garvity shifted towards Boon Lay MRT.
