  1. It seems like two years ago; that my neighbour from England moved-in. In a few days, they will be off-back to England. They have two lovely boys. And one of them has a unique "strawberry blonde" hair....
  2. Case Study: Organisation and Methods (O & M) Actually, the essence of this efficiency can be summed up in justtwo photo slides. See attachment However, their chilli gravy is so so. Good thing is you are allowed to add as much as you want. Always leave a not do complimentary after-taste. Nowadays, I skip this place totally.
  3. I am truly impressed with this food staff staff selling Chinese Noodle (Traditional Teochew Mee Pok). I find that the staff had applied creative thinking or rather truly think out of the box! Step 1: The helper would take down an order. Step 2: She goes to this "glass panel" where she placed a thin sheet of paper. For example, I wanted a bowl of "flat" mee pok noodle; she would write in bold black "BUX". Here, the mee pok is identified as "B". And as I wanted NO OIL; the UXmeans No oil. Step 3: At the food preparation station; theman (staff) can see the order that she had written down at his side andsomehow; as the writing is both bold and large;he could actually figure out what I had wanted. And prepared my bowl of noodles without both uttering a single word. Contrast this to Gordon Ramsay's adage thattheCoordinator must shout out the order! Here, not a single word was uttered! How'sthis for utter efficiency! Step 4: When thelast order was completed. The helper taking the order would use another red bold marker and cancel to the last completed order. And this would certainly helpfood preparation staffto note when to start preparing food again. Another remarkable division of labour is that when theman behind the counter prepared the noodle; the helperalsohas another job; that is to cook theminced meat, fish balls etc.. inhot water andwhen she received the cooked bowl of mee from him; she will place the ingredients to the bowl to complete the full mee pok package to hand over to thepurchaser. There are many other methods of telling the cook what to prepare. Some would use coloured tokens e.g. a red token means customer wants extra chili; and a piece of type of noodle on this token to denote what the client needed. This is far too common. Thus, I am truly impressed with this set-up. Which is truly one- of a kind!
  4. This is another design. But I don't find it too common nor that nice looking as compared to the earlier two designs.
  5. Recently, another client showed me another design to allow ventilation of her shoes (shoe cabinet). This is still functional and "neat" design
  6. Today, an old client shared with me a shoe cabinet design that not only allows ventilation of shoes but also serves as a door handle! How cool is this? This is what I call creative design that kills two birds with one stone; functional, neat and a real smart idea! Do you agree?
  7. This actual bed-head feature wall shows a split exactly at the middle = symbolises "separation"
  8. What about one legged tables? This depends on the centre-of-gravity of the table. For example, if one leans hard on one side of the table; can the table "topple" down?
  9. Please draw a parallel from this maxim from "a school of snipers": One shot, one kill. What you mentioned looks more like our Singlish terms: Not only being Kiasu (Hokkien dialect term for scared to lose) but more like also Kiasee (scared to DIE!)
  10. Yes, it is possible: non-urgent or urgent Best to call or sms to HP:Nine-7 Eight 5 3 171.
  11. Similar concern:- New home and "Do we need to take note of anything due to my wife pregnancy?" Reply:- 1. Based on general Chinese customs; to avoid moving the existing bed of conception. 2. If you need to move the bed, Mrs must not see the move and later, should not visit the bedroom and see that it is moved. 2.1 The above is the most important Chinese consideration. 3. Thus visiting the new home to collect keys etc.. is a non issue. But, once a while some parents tell their daughter in law cannot do so. etc.. But this is more of the conservative side. 2.2 Also do check with parents. As some parents have additional taboos if any. As different elders have different concerns. 3. Another common sense is that during the move; best that Mrs stay away especially if heavy furniture and items are moved.
  12. This Chinese restaurant @ Aperia Mall, Kallang displays a pair of an old school pair of qi lin(s). This version is rarely or never found in homes. More like it belongs to the Ming Tombs or rather guarding the Ming Tombs of China
  13. The Atria@ Meyer Nowadays, the guard house in a condo is often done as an after thought. I find the guard house of The Atria @ Meyer both stylish and of timeless beauty. Whenever I pass-by this structure (the guard house); I often, pause to look at it. And it truly looked beautiful which ever side, front, left or right one looks at it...
  14. In this illustration, the master bedroom has inauspicious Flying Stars where one should best avoid: Bright Yellow and Red. But, to circumvent this; one can always use items or e.g. bed sheets with all the primary colours.
  15. Mad about renovations or mad about signages? Lots of signages
  16. Narrow corridors means those plant loves and item hoarders can no longer place such things along the corridors of HDB Pasir Ris One
  17. Some Chinese feel that it is cruel to cage-up birds. Thus, any designs incorporating a bird-cage is a no no to these group of persons.
  18. Pasir Ris One, developed by a Hong Kong developer. 5 Bedroom Type A shows (an inauspicious)part of the stove sharing the same wall as the toilet bowl.

ActuallyI had a consultant here in Denmark which uses Nine star ki and Bagua map on our house, but in a bit different way than I have seen before and in one of the kids rooms the most available space for furnitures in this room are the negative directions for my girl according to nine star ki. using Kua number for this room the directions are positive .Feel free to use Geomancy.net's full range of free tools (Eight House/Ba Zi/Flying Star) in our Member area:-http://login.geomancy.netAnd learning resources which you can read up:-http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-tour.htmBut you will need to spend some time to read them in order to learn and understand the various tools and application. If you are looking looking for to apply them immediately hassle free, we can also help you on that. 20. It is a common misconception that a prominent storefront is essential for achieving success. However, if the layout of the escalator remains unchanged, particularly with the downward escalator positioned on the left side as indicated in the image, it could negatively impact the Feng Shui of the shop and result in a decline in business.
  21. The idea of praying to the Five (5) spirits: The God of the North, South, East, West and Center god.. by offering five cups of tea.
  22. Under symbolism in Feng Shui; it is nice-to if possible; try to avoid a split in the middle of the bed-head...
  23. Past write-up on 9 star ki:- http://forum.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-ninestar.htm
  24. The main grille gates of this development does not have those privacy panels at the lower panel of the main grille gate. Actually, these privacy panels (see one of the photos in shaded purple area) services a few purpose. One is that when the gates are closed; no one can look or peer into the gap of the wooden door and the floor.
