  1. The Criterion EC - Executive Luxury EC and 4 bedroom premium Type C3P N C3-1P Bedroom 4 shares the same wall as the WC pipe wall. Thus, if possible try not to sleep with the bed-head close to this area
  2. The Criterion EC - Executive Luxury EC For now, the Flying Star compass measurements are based on streetdirectory.com maps:- N1 with stacks:03, 04, 07, 38, 39, 17, 18, 21, 22, 26 & 28has the auspicious double 8s at it's frontage. Good if the frontage has a water position. Good if the master bedroom is located at NE sector. As it has good auspicious star combinations of MS#6 + WS#1. If a bedroom is located at East is good for a bedroom cum study. The rest of other sectors has inauspicious stars. And may need to be disarmed. S1 with stacks 36, 37, 01, 05, 19, 23 & 27. The combined auspicious wealth stars MS#8 + WS#8 are at the "rear" of the unit. Such a waste as usually this is the kitchen & yard area. It will be good if a bedroom is located at East sector: good for studies. If the main entrance is located at NE, this will be excellent as there are good combinations of MS#1 with WS#6 in this sector. NE1 with stacks 14, 15, 32, & 35.Has the auspicious water wealth #8 star at the frontage. Thus, units with water position at the frontage (balcony side) can enjoy good Feng Shui. If so, the sum-of-ten can be activated for : Health, wealth and family luck. If the unit is not facing a water position, then best to place a water position at the balcony area to activate the luck. On the downside; the other sectors in such a home has bad stars that best to be disarmed or neutralised. SW1 with stacks 12, 16, 33 &34. Favourable if the water wealth #8 is at the frontage; water at the frontage is good. It will be advantages if the unit faces a pool of water or activate a water position at the balcony area. As such overall, the unit can activate the sum-of-ten. Need though to disarm bad stars in many sectors of the home. To disarm health related considerations. NW1 with stacks 10, 11 & 30.Can activate the auspicious Pearl String effect; best to have a "mountain" at the front and ideally water behind the unit. In addition, the water position is at the rear of the block. SE1 with stacks 29 & 31.For SE1 facing, ideally, water position to be at the frontage. If so, it is a double bonus as SW1 enjoys the auspicous 10 combinations under the Flying Star Feng Shui.
  3. The Criterion EC - Executive Luxury EC Please take extra care as I suspect that the North compass marking on the sales brochure may not be accurate. This is because, I compared the North marking on the electronic streetdirectory map from http://streetdirectory.com and found that the difference can cause all the analysis from e.g. Flying Stars N1, S1, SE1, SW1 to become N2, S2, SE2, SW2 if the sales brochure site plan is used. Here, there is a lot of difference between say a N1 flying star chart vs a N2/N3 flying star chart. For example: from the streetdirectory map, I found the stacks like #17, #21, #25 to be N1 at 345 degrees. But the sales brochure map shows a vast difference at 3 degrees. Which results in these stacks facing "N2". So which seems correct? I would place my bet with the streetdirectory's map. Unfortunately, the onemap.sg using gov.data map only shows the outline of each block only after the development has T.O.P. For buyers in this development, best to do a reading after the blocks/stacks are ready...
  4. 1. In GENERAL, based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, such layout are often avoided as the unit is not as rectangular with triangles and points. 2. I happy to see that although the above is not as good; fortunately, all three bedrooms are rectangular in shape. And only the non-living areas such as kitchen / store are not rectangular. 3. To improve Feng Shui there are the common?factors to consider:- 3.1. Feng Shui Triage Proper trouble-shooting is required. 3.2. Fix-the-Leak, First! Easily three or more major problems. 3.3. The Concept of Maximizing Marks Hopefully from a FAIL to a PASS or better!
  5. HDB Compassvale Mast & internal dry walls I was wondering how long will HDB follow suit in using dry walls for the interior partitions. That was in 2011 when the Livia condo just TOP. I walked into the unit and knocked on all the interior walls. These walls were all dry walls. And for this development another surprise... the toilet interior walls were also non-concrete walls. Just last year, a client sold his nearby CDL unit in the same development and opted for an older condo that had interior solid walls. This client says he just hated a home with such dry walls. He felt that we are already payinga premium for a home, here in Singapore. And the question asked is: If you have a choice would you opt for solid walls in a home or dry walls. The saying.... built only from brick and motar ... may no longer be exacty be 100 true, here!
  6. HDB Keat Hong Pride is within the greater piece of land which once was an army camp i.e. Keat Hong camp. HDB Keat Hong Pride sits at the fringe of once was the fence of the army camp. And distinctively the MRT trains are so close, but yet so far. Hopefully the government heed the request by new residents of this estate to have another train station "Keat Hong station". Similar to the Dover station and the current under construction Canberra station.
  7. 2025 (C) Geomancy.net Once upon a time, when plastics were hard to come by or not as sturdy as a wooden stool; many homes used them. These wooden stools can withstand rain or water or can be used in the bath rooms. I remembered, clearly when I was young, back then in the 1960's a servant seating on such a stool to wash clothes or holding a life chicken seated on it with a knife to slice the neck of that chicken.
  8. Unlike the wooden rice bins, the charcoal stove is relatively easy to buy in the heartlands of Singapore. Maybe perhaps, in 10 or 20 years time... they are harder to purchase. As today, some elderly ladies still literally use them. In the near future, they may be only used symbolically for move-in rituals by some Chinese who still cling to such beliefs.
  9. Wood is considered a media to store rice grains. Nowadays it is hard to find such a wood bin. And they are not cheap e.g. one of the rice bins costs $64/- plus dollars. When compared to the relatively cheap plastic rice bins. Location: a shop in Sunshine Plaza, Choa Chu Kang
  10. Skypark Residences EC Floor Plans Skypark-Residences-Floorplans.pdf Skypark Residences EC (Executive Condo) and 5 bedroom Mansionette Type F1 Best to avoid sleeping with bed-head too close to one or even two WC's
  11. Skypark Residences EC (Executive Condo) and 4 bedroom Type C1 layout plan: Inauspicious for stove sharing the same wall as the WC
  12. Skypark Residences EC (Executive Condo) I have compared the North compass marking on the sales brochure with that of streetdirectory.com The sales brochure shows North (N1) of 339 and South (S1) of 159 degrees. While the streetdirectory.com 's map shows North at 340 degrees and South at 160 degrees. This means that it is most certain that directions are what it says in the sales brochure. This development's stack/unit are predominantly either N1 or S1 facing. N1 such as stacks 13, 14, 17, 18, 22, 26, 29, 30has the auspicious double 8s at it's frontage. A plus point for these stacks astheir frontage has a water position. Good if the master bedroom is located at NE sector. As it has good auspicious star combinations of MS#6 + WS#1. If a bedroom is located at East is good for a bedroom cum study. The rest of other sectors has inauspicious stars. And may need to be disarmed. S1 The combined auspicious wealth stars MS#8 + WS#8 are at the "rear" of the unit. Such a waste as usually this is the kitchen & yard area. It will be good if a bedroom is located at East sector: good for studies. If the main entrance is located at NE, this will be excellent as there are good combinations of MS#1 with WS#6 in this sector.
  13. Overhead bridge facing several stacks in Waterbay EC
  14. Case Study Parc Life EC & 3 Bedroom Veranda Type B5 floor plan 1. Please see attachment: Illustration 1 2. Did you see the zone highlighted in yellow? Under symbolism in Feng Shui there should not be any sharp objects such as knives or fork facing the master bedroom "bedroom door" zone. 2.1 Fortunately, in the original layout plan, the majority of thefridge is facing the master bedroom door. There is a relatively small area marked in red "X" that might still face the door. If so, avoid placing a microwave or knives facing this door. 3. Please see another attachment: Illustration 2 3.1. This layout plan was very popular in the early 2000. 3.2. Again, did you see the yellow zone. Here, bedroom 3 bedroom door is considered as "vunerable" to what is inside the kitchen. 3.2.1. Thus, if there is no partition or a french door (folding door) the bedroom 3 bedroom door is "at the mercy of" what is found in the kitchen. 3.2.2 At times, an oven was "exposed" towards the bedroom 3 door or a toaster oven etc.. Under symbolism in Feng Shui; this may result in the person sleeping in bedroom 3 having a "fever" etc.. 3.3 This is why, a partition or a folding door is "permanently located" at the marking in red "Y Y Y".
  15. Parc Life EC & Type C1 floor plan = inauspicious 3+Universal Verandah Type C1 Under Shapes & Forms Feng Shui, it is inauspicious to have the powder room cum WC next to the main entrance
  16. Parc Life Executive Condo (EC) & Block 35 & 37 Block 35 and 37 has stacks that either face NE1 or SW1 Stacks 29, 32 & 33 facing NE1 and stacks 30, 34 & 35 are SW1 facing NE1. Has the auspicious water wealth #8 star at the frontage. Thus, units such as32 & 33 with water position at the frontage (balcony side) can enjoy good Feng Shui. Here, the sum-of-ten can be activated for : Health, wealth and family luck. If the unit is not directly facing a water position eg. stack 29, then best to place a water position at the balcony area to activate the luck. On the downside; the other sectors in such a home has bad stars that best to be disarmed or neutralised. SW1. As the water wealth #8 is at the frontage; water at the frontage is good. Since stacks 30, 34 & 35 is not pool facingcan activate a water position at the balcony area.Overall, the unit can activate the sum-of-ten. Need though to disarm bad stars in many sectors of the home. To disarm health related considerations.
  17. Parc Life Executive Condo (EC) & Block 39 Block 39 stacks 36 & 37 are N2 facing whilestacks 38 & 39 are S2 facing Under Flying stars; there is a difference between a N2 facing vs a S2 facing chart. Here, under N2 facing; the combined auspicious wealth stars are wasted at the rear of the home. Here, "rear" often means wasted at the kitchen / yard area in stead of at the frontage like that of an S2 chart.
  18. Parc Life Executive Condo (EC) & Block 41 stacks 40, 41 and 42 Block 41 stacks 40 & 41 are NW3 facing stack 42 is SE3 NW3 (stacks 40 &41) has the auspicious water wealth #8 at it's frontage. Good if the balcony/living room faces a pool of water. If not can consider placing a water feature at the balcony to activate it. Other than this, the rest of the sectors on this home has inbalances. If the master bedroom or a bedroom is located at West sector of the home: be careful of frequent sickness SE3 stack 42is facing the road. Thus, it would be good if the unit faces a pool of water. Or enhanced with a water feature at the balcony area of the living room. The rest of the stars in other sectors are inauspicious. And may need to be disarmed Good, if the rear of the house has a "mountain" support.
  19. Should I get a small, medium or large flower pot? Frankly, this has more to do with common sense:- 1. For example, if one lives in a high rise apartment. And if there is no balcony grille. And if there are young children.. then best to avoid getting a medium or large flower pot. 1.1. Else these flower pots become a stepping stone to climb over say.. the railing(s). 2. Look at the attached photo. In our current heat-wave, one will notice that the two small flower pots have plants that shrivel and close to dead...
  20. Kovan Regency Condo recently T.O.P. The swimming pool reminds me of the first generation condo developments like Mandarin Gardens @ Marine Parade Road
  21. Parc Life Executive Condo (EC) & compass bearings There were a few instances in the past that the North compass marking on the sales brochure was not correct. It is always good to look at an independent source. If the development has not TOP; the only useful map available comes from streetdirectory.com. Once the development has TOP; one can rely totally on onemap.sg which uses the gov.data map. For now, we can only try to check it with streetdirectory.com. As this development "hugs" the border between it and the uncompleted Sky Park Residences uncompleted; I managed to find that there is a small variance between the north marking on the sales brochure and the attached map. I got a reading of North 342 and South 162 respectively from streetdirectory.com. And the readings from the sales brochure shows North 345 and South 165. Pretty close match! Thus, safe to say: what is suppose to be N1 facing and/or S1 facing should remain as such. And also these compass readings are not borderline cases. Thus confidence level is very (very) high. With this, we can continue to look at the rest of the facing of other stacks with confidence.

  23. Wandervale Executive Condo (EC) floor plan Common sense Besides common sense of avoiding the"afternoon sun":- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=19&mid=34978&new= I would also typically (if I am the one to purchase an apartment) is to be aware of where the barbeque pavillion(s) and the gourment dining pavillion(s) are. I would often try to visualise where the wind may flow towards... and avoid purchasing a unit especially on the ground floor close-by to these areas. Don't get me wrong, I am no vegetarian.. but especially on Friday evenings and weekends... I don't want to get constant smell of barbequed food.... and end up in a unit that smells like it. The areas where there are either barbeque pavillion(s) and gourment dining areas are attached.
  24. Architects should always remember this "Even if you don't stay there, think of the potential family that would be staying there!" On 19 Mar 2016, at 2:05 AM, M____ L_____ wrote an e-mail:- Hi Cecil, ... I should have read your analysis or column long ago or before purchase Skies Miltonia. Before purchase, there isn't any direction given on the block __ and it seems face north but not west. However; after collecting key, I realized that my bed room face (head direction) the west sun, and it's extreme hot , so as kitchen. In such a case, how to change the fengshui ? What can I do? The balcony and dining room are facing the road... Now that I learnt should have seek advice before purchase property but not after. I appreciate if you can do some help . Sent from my iPhone= Reply:- Dear M____ , Sorry to learn about your plight. Honestly, as what you mentioned is external (the sun rays) there is unfortunately nothing one can control, here. Given that there are no neighbouring high-rise to block partially the heat towards your unit. The other day, I visited a client who bought two units in your development. He made sure that the units he bought was not affected directly by the afternoon sun. Currently, this few weeks there is a heatwave; so hopefully, it would not get worse than it is now. Looking at your writing; you are indeed a positive person; and learn from this. I was impressed with another condo in Bukit Panjang; and the architect built a wall feature to allow creepers to grow; some kind of a "heat-sink" or barrier between the direct sunlight and the unseen wall of eg master bedroom. Personally, in the past I had like you learned a "painful" lesson when the home was also a SW / westerly facing. Here, unfortunately, this is an external issue i.e. Beyond control. Thanks Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee
