These are some considerations:
1. It is best to do a scientific triage.
1.1. What you mentioned is based purely on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. In order?to apply this properly, if the evaluator is not on the ground to study the situation; sometimes : a photo tells a thousand words.
1.2. This is because, sometimes contrary to a lay person; what you had described: the wall at the front entrance; this may not even be the "FRONTAGE" under both Shapes and Forms and?Flying Stars Feng Shui.
1.2.1 Especially if the house opens to a beautiful "backyard" etc... So you may in fact be describing about the "rear of the house" instead.
2. Flying Star Feng Shui can zoom in on areas where it may be prone to "mental issues" or blockages. Usually the "guilty" stars are often those of the #3 and/or #4 Flying Star numbers.
3. In this very old illustration; under Period 6; the SE or living room area has bad combination of "mental stress" related stars like MS#8 with WS#4.
4. Here, Flying Stars is used to both identify and cure or disarm such bad sectors. Fortunately, this example is not a major consider from now to 2023 as this is the Period 8 and at this moment #8 = auspicious outweighs the bad luck of #4. But after 2023, that is a different matter all together.

In general, this type of triangular plot of land (may be) acceptable - subject to any external open drains if any along its perimeter which may affect it's Feng Shui

Hello Mr Lee,I wonder how does
the shape of property
contributes to feng shui.
This house is located in
a very long and narrow
triangular lot. The
house is pretty new and is the
grandest in the area.
Although the lot is
narrow, it is big enough for
such a big house and a big
garage with plenty of room
left. However it seems to me
that there is a never ending
landscaping projects going on
the outside for the past 6
years or more when I noticed.
Owners are not in landscaping
business, they make their
money in petroleum.
These are big projects
that involves big piles of
sand, bricks and workers.
Wonder if the odd shape
of the lot contributes to it
or it is just the owners
always want to do something.
Just curious and thought
I share here. Thank you. -

These are some considerations:
1. When we reference a home with compass directions; and if one is trying to apply a Feng Shui concept to this;
2. Then, the Compass School of Feng Shui comes into mind: Eight House concept and Flying Stars
2.1. Eight House concept to find or nice-to have one's head sleep facing a good direction and if possible sectors that are favourable to the person.
2.2. In your case, when applying traditional Feng Shui = Flying Stars; determine or confirming that the facing direction may be actually West sitting East. And in addition, find out whether it is a W1, W2 / W3 facing and which period it is in.
3. Then plot the flying stars and applying this concept onto the layout plan.
4. For missing area or corner of a landed property; Shapes and Forms Feng Shui applies. The most logical way is to image that one is in a helicopter or having a helicopter view looking down on the home.
4.1. Here, if there are missing corners; one could do landscaping or even cement / concrete this area so that when we are above it; it may fill in the missing corner.
4.2. Alternatively, if this is a sandy patch, one can add an outline such as using bolders to outline the missing area.

Recently, LTA has been giving out in conjunction with Shell; a Demerit-Free Driver decal or if one is a scooterist a Dement-Free Rider sticker!
Coincidentally, this one of a kind taxi uncle has in one of the photos: I have highlighted in red-arrow(s) the various items found in his taxi:
1 sword made up of I-ching coins just above the rear view mirror.
2 luopans
1 hulu
1 ba gua emblem
Have you come across, such a perculiar sight?
Or is it a coincidence of all the above that he did not have any demerit-points? As it is very hard to find a Singapore taxi driver that does not have demerit-points?

Nowadays, there are so many decorative water fountains.
Some follow the design of paintings. Where the koi fishes leap higher and higher... symbolising great wealth and prosperity.
Did you see the koi fishes in one of the water feature?

These fan blades are sloped upwards at the tip.
Most likely these fan blades take the cue from the latest air-planes that have curved tips also.

Dear
Sophia,
Frankly, it is often wise
not
to read too many
"wrong
books". And often reading
too
many may result in "forcing"
us
into following too many
silly
"taboos".
The key
fundamental thing
that
all of us
must remember that
we are in this
earth for a
relatively short
period and
too
many of such
taboos can
"ruined" our
otherwise
convenient life.
Take
the
silly case of the
idea that "
we
must not place
a tv set facing
our
bed" or
must cover it day in
day
out".
In past forum messages,
I had
mentioned that if the
argument
was that the tv screen
is like
a
reflective mirror. Some
wise
guy
would say that when we
sleep, our
spirit wake up, see
itself in the
mirror, got a
shock!
But what
happen if our
spirit
wakes up, would
like to
check
his/her hair or face
before
going off roaming
around..
All these have to do
with
"tolerance" levels. Some of
us
can sleep very well with
mirrors
all round e.g. on the
wardrope etc..
but some of us
feel uncomfortable
(perhaps --
thanks to the thought
put into
their head of the
first
story). It is like some of
us
can eat very hot
chili-peppers
while others
cannot.
And if we
look at the new
monitor screens such
as LCD
monitors, we can hardly
see
our profile in it!
The
key to
Feng Shui is also
about qi
flow.
Besides placing
our
furniture based
on good
Feng Shui
practises, it is
also good to
have air
circulating within a
room or
home. Thus also has the
feel
good factor (cooling) and
often
good for both qi flow
and human luck
factors (feel
comfortable).
How
often do we
see a fan
crashing down
on us?
Often the
fan is securely
tied to
the
ceiling. And rarely if
ever
we
hear of one falling down
and
"killing" someone. Perhaps,
many
more people would die
ina car
accident rather
than being hit or
injured or
killed by a ceiling
fan.
Again, fundamentally, the
same
statement applies:YOU STAY
HERE,
WE (Geomancers) DON'T!
Warmest
Regards,Cecil

Under Symbolism in Feng Shui; best to use even number of chairs for a dining table.
What about a bench? Does it count as one chair? No.
Thus, if one has a bench and 4 chairs at a dining table; the bench is not counted.
Thus ideally, best to avoid having a bench with 3 chairs at a dining table.
Based oncommon sense, best to avoid gaps such as those shown in the photo: Asoften, such gaps may "pinch" one's skin. Not exactly comfortable, rite?

A 1960's tailor's shop front still around today
1. Observe the mosaic tiles adorning the floor of the tailor shop.
2. This establishment located on Tanjong Katong Road features a distinctive shop front characterized by two expansive display windows flanking either side.
3. Such architectural styles were prevalent during that era, with numerous shops along prominent streets like North Bridge Road showcasing similar designs.
"A Welcome FEEL of .... Kindly enter, please do come in."
4. It seems that marketing psychology was employed during that period, as the angled "V" display cabinets flanking either side were crafted to optimize display space and facilitate easy "a welcome" entry for passersby into the store.
5. This effectively illustrates the concept of "window shopping."

Question: Can I do the first time open door procedure before the 7th month. And during the 7th month continue with the renovations. Is it ok to choose an auspicious date that is suitable to one partner but average for the other.
Reply:
1. The concern of the 7th month is that when one leaves a home vacant; some are afraid that the "hungry ghosts" may come and live in the home. And if one suddenly disturbs them, they get "angry". But see Para 2 below
2. Thus, it is a good idea to start renovations and continue during the 7th month. Here, the hungry ghosts are also like humans; if there are lots of noise and construction, they will not want to "come in".
3. No issue to select a date that is auspicious only to one person for first time open door or start of renovations. But, for the more important Move-in; best to chose a good that for both.

These are some considerations:-
1. In general, often; the consensus of many geomancers is that id there is a DOUBLE #8's in say Period 8; one should not consider MS8 as standalone.
1.1. Many geomancers would often offer or recommend a "water position" for say a Double #8 sector in Period 8; a Double #9 sector in Period 9 etc...
1.2. Thus when the Double #8's meet; one should not think or pull out the roots of one's hair as to : if I use "water" to activate the Water star #8; what about the mountain stair #8 then?
1.3. A well balanced water position consists of all five elements: e.g. Metal (round); earth usually rectangular or granite or marble stones for the fountain; water = real water and fire = lighting; and some plants = wood. If so, even if the #3 goes to that sector; the sector has all the Five elements = balance.
If one has the time can read up: Reference: http://fountain.geomancy.net Para 2.1 to 2.12
2. Sometimes, a sector cannot use e.g. Bright Yellow because of the #5 deadly yellow then how?
2.1. Same concept: Apply all five elements including yellow. For example, a bedroom should avoid YELLOW. But if one seen a multi-coloured mattress especially for children, one can see many colours e.g. Red, black, green, yellow blue etc.. If so, this can be used in say a bedroom that was adviced not to use YELLOW (on it's own).

The Angsana tree or truly a huge majestic "umbrella" (shade) tree
in Around Singapore
Posted
Location: Mountbatten Road. (Used to be the main road connecting the East Coast to the city. That was before the ECP came into being)
It is a pity that we can only see the Ang sana trees that were planted at least 30 to 50 years ago. What a pity, they are no longer planted on most of today's roads.
As HDB estate roads are both narrow and does not have a road side divider; such trees are no longer seen in new HDB estates like Sengkang, Punggol, Choa Chu Kang etc...
This tree has low branches and as they radiate towards the road; the branches were often trimmed. Even so, the tree managed to retain a balanced "umbrella" shape.
The ang sana trees were planted previously on wide two way roads to provide greenery. But is highly unsuitable on highways.
The Singapore we used toknow will slowly and surely be made way for "progress" to house 10 million?
