These are some considerations:
1. Distance of the neighbouring roof-line to your home. The further the better.
2. Openings of your home vs this roof-line:
2.1. If the roof-line is close to the top-half of your window opening i.e. when one stands inside your home window looking at the roof-line; and it is above eye level; this is a sigh of relief.
2.2. Draw the day curtain closed. As the day curtain at this position; is considered as a shield.. if one cannot exactly see the "threat" it is no longer .... Day curtain also provide natural filtered light into the room...

Hello Mr. Lee, Could you
advice if a paralell roof top

Neighbor's side is slightly

tall. Therefore even in
reality the parallel roof is
above our heads, but visually
it is in front of our visual
line. If it is sha chi, what
would you recommend to
neutralize it. Thank you.

Worked example of a previous TOP apartment at The Canopy in Yishun
Key Summary of this unit:
1. This unit faces West, sitting East with the double auspicious wealth stars #8's at it's frontage.
...2. A water position can be placed in the balcony to boost the wealth luck of this unit.
3. Main Entrance with a passage way at NE sector:
3.1. If a cabinet e.g. shoe cabinet is to be constructed to the left-side of the main door; then it is "Nice-to" use the Feng Shui ruler to measure an auspicious width for the remaining space. (See Option 1 illustration)
4. Master Bedroom: South
4.1 Under Option 1: You will see that MR sleeps closer to the balcony window which is closest to SE sector. Which is MR's better sector i.e. his "longevity" sector. While MRs sleeps further away from this sector i.e. her "death" sector.
4.2 The above is one of the uses of the Eight House concept in defining who sleeps, where.
4.3. Under Option 1: even if the bed-head shares the same wall as the WC; this is acceptable, since, the person's head will not be too close to this WC wall.
5. Study Room: West
5.1. MR best faces East or South study or work directions. While MRS best directions are NE or SW (with NW-West as acceptable).
5.2. Options 1 and 2: shows varioius study/work directions for each of them.
5.3. As Study Room windows are at West; try to avoid sitting and studying/working facing the West (afternoon sun). Thus both Options take into consideration this; by not having the proposed study/work directions directly face West.
6. Flying Star and the number #3 = Quarrels, conflicts & legal entanglements
6.1. Sectors with Mountain star and/or Water star #3: To avoid GREEN colour where possible.
7. Unfortunately, since this is a West facing home; try to avoid this facing direction even if it has good Flying Stars at the frontage. As such homes if unblocked can be hot, hot & hot (heat, heat & heat!)

Feng Shui of HDB BTO Skyline 1 & 2 @ Bukit Batok
Flying Star Feng Shui & the zone of Emptiness.
So what's wrong if my apartment falls between the borderline of two sectors.
...For example: Block 296A stacks #62 & #64 found to be facing compass direction 22 degrees.
Here, when the block is completed, it could either be in-between or belong to one of these sectors:-
Flying Star N3 7.5 degrees to 22.4 degrees or
Flying star NE1 22.4 degrees to 37.4 degreesWhat is worse, if the apartment falls exactly between N3 or NE1? This is known as an "Empty" home i.e. neither here nor there: no man's land....
If so, this is considered a "broken" home and will face lots of difficulties and bad-luck.
In THEORY, "Cannot stay" lah... type of home
-
Worked example of a previous TOP apartment at Foresque Residence:
A. Key Summary of this unit:
1. Flying Star Feng Shui: In a north facing home; the wealth stars are wasted at the "back" of the home:-
"As this unit is sitting south facing north: wasted that the double auspicious Flying stars #8's are wasted at the air-con ledge & kitchen area of the home."
2. Master Bedroom:
2.1 Option 1:
Under Option 1, the bed-head direction favours "MR" and who sleeps where is also determined by the Eight House concept.
2.2. Option 2:
This bed-head direction favours "MRS" and MRS sleeps closer to the balcony side as this is closest to the NW sector and her "longevity" sector. Here, under the Eight House concept: MRS is sleeping close to her good sector; shielding her husband MR from the influence of the NW sector.
3. Study Directions:
Son's optimal study directions are highlighted in green: NE or a combination of NW-West-SW direction.
Daughter's optimal study directions are in purple: East and /or South.
B. This Holistic & Scientific Feng Shui analysis uses:
B1. Compass School Feng Shui: Flying Stars & Eight House Concept
B2. Ba Zi or Four Pillars of Destiny: Each family member's ba zi element e.g. weak water; strong wood etc... and their binding elements
B3. The Five Elements Concept
B4. In addition; the on-site review takes into account the Shapes and Forms of the external environment in relation to this unit.
C. This Holistic & Scientific Feng Shui analysis uses:
C1. Compass School Feng Shui: Flying Stars & Eight House Concept
C2. Ba Zi or Four Pillars of Destiny: Each family member's ba zi element e.g. weak water; strong wood etc... and their binding elements
C3. The Five Elements Concept
C4. In addition; the on-site review takes into account the Shapes and Forms of the external environment in relation to this unit.
D. A combination of Ba Zi Feng Shui.
D1. Where a person is determined as e.g. a Weak water or strong metal or weak wood element.
D2. This is to determine the "Binding Element". The binding element helps to bond or strengthen the relationship between each other.
D3. Thus, for a husband and wife: often this is considered in the Master bedroom and/or living room areas.
D4. For example, the binding element of both partners: MR and MRs are both Metal and Water element

New apartment. New red banner that symbolises luck

In this picture, you can also
see the placement of
auspicious red lanterns on the
sides of the banner.
As this is a new house, the
owners placed the red banners
and lanterns in the hope of
getting auspicious luck for
their new home.

Number 8 is considered auspicious to the Cantonese dialect group.
Thus #08-08 sounds auspicious especially in SIngapore and Hong Kong with a percentage of Cantonese.

Dear Anon,
Anonymous wrote:We have a variety of
choices -- however, I've been reading
that 2's, 6's. 8's and 9's are
auspicious. Several numbers that
we're considering are: 208; 116;
278; 268 and 186.
Generally, for auspicious numbers, there
are many many ways to look at it.
Finding numbers that contain the numbers
you mentioned are generally
good.Particularlly, 6 in hokkien
prounciation which means luck. 8 is Fa
in cantonses prounication which is
prosper. 9 is for like jiu or longevity.
Thus, anynumber which has these
numbers tend to be more auspicious.
Most of the time people try to link the
numbers together to get the meaning (if
possible), or as long as there is the 8
or 6 these are already considered good
like 86 - prosper and luck or 68 luck
and prosper. Most will definately like
88 (fa and fa) is like Prosper and
Prosper.
4 to chinese especially cantonese is
die. But to some western like the lucky
4 leave clover is good. So really there
is many ways to look at auspicious or
inauspicious number.
There is also another way is use your
Kua number ie 9, then you add up the
number 208 = 2 + 0 +8 = 10 = 1+0 = 1 so
if this is the same as your Kua number
it is auspicious for you.
So there is really thousand and one ways
to look at auspicious numbers.It
is really ultimately up to you which is
better for you. As long as you like the
number, it really does not matter too
much how you interpret the meaning. It
is really a matter of personal
preference.
Hope that helps.
