  4. A while back, I visited a client in Bukit Merah. As his HDB flat is more than 30 years old; he told me that nearly every day; someone in his "slab" block is always changing floor tiles. And the noise from such renovations is quite unbearable. Fast-forward... two years ago, I visited the Sky Habitat show-room. And was "surprised" that such a large designer condo "slab" made up of two huge towers only provide "ceramic" floor tiles... And often, there is a likelyhood that especially after the flat(s) changed hands, some owners may most likely change the floor tiles. And since there are so many units in each block in Sky Habitat... erh... good luck to the owners! Assuming if just one owner in the near future does renovations in his/her flat... I find it a nightmare to stay in this development... and it sucks!
  5. Frankly, there are divisions on this. If you have the time, please go thru this entire thread:http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=32760&new=

  8. The pillar is non-threatening...(as it is so far away from your frontage wall) even without the folding table to "shield" it.
  9. Please check out my comments on the two attachment photos. In one of the photos; there are actually two additional lamp-posts and even a tree trunk... close-by
  10. What the view would be like in the past... from or around Sea View hotel at that time...
  11. 1. Thanks for the two additional photos. 2. These two photos are often the proper or correct method or idea of checking for poison arrows. 3. In the first photo, the apex or pointed-roof is a distance away and it is clearly not aligned towards your unit. Thus confirm, this is not a threat to your main door. 4. As expected, the rounding of the lamp post, also seems or looks non-threatening. It would be different if it is pointed and vertical. 5. From this "level" everything seems pretty "peaceful-looking" as compared to your earlier two photos i.e. taking photo shots looking down from your corridor balcony.
  12. In my opinion, the best way to re-confirm any poison arrow threats is to take photos PARALLEL to the corridor wall. And not to taken "elevated" photos higher than the original corridor wall. However, based on the two photos; I can only guess .... and my comments are on the two attachments.
  13. This icon hotel in the East was finally demolished in the early 2000's to make way for The Sea View condo. Previously, in the 1980's part of the grounds was leased to a supermarket chain.

  15. Hi Cecil; For the main wooden door, is there any particular dimension like height or width that we need to watch out for?For the sliding or folding door at the patio to the living room, is the number of of door panels important? Reply: For the main door; in the past 1 room / 3 bedrooms and 4 & 5 bedrooms HDB's around the 1970's to early 1980's have door openings at 32". And plus the side frames it is a total of 35" If you want to tailor made a single door (or single with extra panel) then since the extra panel is rarely opened; the big door should range between 32" up to max of 35". Very hard to include the door frame if wood frame is used. (HDB usually use the thinner metal frame thus it can be done). The next best openings are 49 3/4" or 58" or 60" or 68" or 70"or 84" or 92". These perhaps are meant for exact twin door openings. But nowadys most developers simply use 1metre doors. Not auspicious. But this is the norm. If you want to modify this then either reduce this to 89cm (35") or increase to 110cm (43"). Height is not an issue. But again if you really want to then the height opening can be 83" or 84" or higher at 91" or 92". Sliding or folding doors for practical reasons and also since this is not the MAIN door often is not requried to have auspicious dimensions. Of course, if want to still no harm.
  16. How suitable is the house? Besides Location, location and location; these are some of the tools used under Can or Cannot buy
  17. In the past, often a table phone has a metallic bell. And it is often placed at locations with Flying star numbers #2 or #5 (distinct from one's ba zi or date of birth). Nowadays, in modern times, a high percentage of homes especially in Singapore with working couples have decided not to apply for land-line-table phone(s). Many prefer to be with their Hand-phones
  18. Feng Shui is both an art and a science. Huh? what has it got to do with the carrot and stick approach? I wonder....
  19. In the case that the twins are of the same gender, the answer is affirmative. However, if one twin is a boy and the other is a girl, the response is negative.
