From now until 2023; this period belongs to the "earth" period. During this period the best colour other than considering the stars is: barley white (which is light cream) or beige. Or if really not sure; use neutral white or light pastel colours.

Dear Anon, Please see below:- There is relatively no harm hanging a small object. Peacock signifies beauty and dignity. Because of the "huge eye" on a peacock feather, some say that it can drive evil spirit away. Sometimes, this can be found in some Chinese temples. In Chinese culture, peacock is used much less than in Indian culture where there are more myth involved in it's use such as the peacock throne. Predominantly, after the Manchus conquered China, manchu officials adorn hats with peacock feather. Frankly, there is no specific location to place it. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, If we strictly consider based on Chinese Astrology, the Rat is considered diagrammatically opposite the Horse. As such they are suppose to be one of the worst pairings in the Chinese Astrology (zodiac) signs. Reference: http://www.lovesigns.net However, phew! 50 years old? Go get a life, and since life at 50 is "really, really short"; why not.. even cannot MUST make it POSSIBLE! We can understand if one is 18 to 30 years. May be head-strong, stubborn or combative. But at 50 years old? Gosh! One should hopefully have mellowed down! And be more understanding! With regards to both the Chinese as well as Western zodiac signs: You see, many of us often read ou…

Dear Wilson, Wilson Chan wrote: I have only recently taken up Feng Shui as an interest. It occurs to me that, in southern Australia, it's common sense to have the living areas facing North to receive the warmth of the Sun; in opposite to countries like China. So how should I interpret Feng Shui when it comes to positions/direction? There are many discussions on this issue. However, from our experiences, we find that you should not need to reverse the feng shui concept for the Southern countries. Just apply the concept as it is. We have done numerous analysis for the South and find that there is no need to make any changes or modification to the feng shui theories or con…

Under symbolism in Feng Shui; the best way to redress the concern is:- http://forum.geomancy.net/events/CDL_Talk_2/cdl_talk_2_slide_52.htm Usually sorry to add the pun "sane people don't place a partition" between their bed and the bedroom door especially if the bedroom is miserably small. Here, a partition if it is solid (air-tight) would often cause "stagnant qi" area for those sleeping at the "corner" closest to the partition wall. This is more of a concern than what you mentioned although it is equally not so good sounding..

Dear Mina, 1. All major Chinese concepts uses the Chinese Lunar Calendar system. This is where, when we look at even Chinese astrology, it is based on Chinese Lunar new year. And the Chinese Lunar calendar use is wide-spread. Thus, when we need to determine a birth-date. This year, Chinese New Year starts on 12th February 2002. Thus, when we need to check the birth-date, any child born between 1st January 2002 to 11th January 2002 is considered born under the Year 2001 for purposes of Gua calculation. This site and many other book authors; therefore use the Lunar Calendar system. As far as I know; solar (Xia or Hsia) is used only in Pillars of Destiny as mentioned in deta…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: In the Personal Element report, when you say Clothes/Personal Objects colors, what do you mean by personal objects? For example, I am strong Earth, year Fire Horse. My favorable objects and colors are metal, wood, white, gold, green brown. My unfavorable are fire, earth, red, yellow. Does that mean I should avoid these colors when buying clothes? Yes, the more your clothings is made up of your favourable colours, it means that when you wear these colours, your luck will be improved. Just like if metal/wood is your favourable element. This means white/gold/green/brown is good for you. If you wear more of these colours, you will be adding elem…

Dear Madan, When you make use of the Eight House chart, one should also consider the following: 1. Where possible find out what is the intangible force at the main entrance for the breadwinner. It will give you a feel of how suitable the house is. The most unsuitable house is one where the death/disaster intangible force flows through the main entrance door. 2. Do note that the Eight House Theory can tell you your personal best directions to sleep or sleep closer to. In this aspect, Eight House Theory cannot be used to analyse for `cures' or enhancements. 3. A very important aspect is to check the house under the Shapes and Form School. I understand that there is alot of…

1. If you want to apply proper Feng Shui, it is strongly recommended that a detailed analysis be done. 2. Furthermore, some sectors may not be possible to be "cured". For instance if the toilet is there, it is there so no amount of "Feng Shui" may help in many instances unless the toilet is not there. So how, bang your head against the wall? 3. Thus it is always recommended to try to maximise luck from all other areas, instead.

Dear Anon, Yes, a mountain star can be activated by a painting or photo e.g. of Mount Fuji. Avoid a photo with streams or rivers at the front of the mountain. It is acceptable for snow to be seen on the peak of the mountain painting. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Edited by Robert: Such questions maynot get a reply because every personis different and every development also have good and bad units depending on which block and layout. So unless a some analysis is done to check it, it is not right to make generalised statement about a development. So it is better that you make use of some of our tools. Like the eight house to check that the house facing does not fall under the death / disaster. Also, check that other buildings around do not cut into the building or your view do not face temples/church etc. Or if you are unsure you should seek professional consultation services to help you do a floorplan review before you purchase …

Dear Anon, Yes, under the horoscope sign Ox and Ram are not compatible. However, you are a Strong Fire Ram, while your husband is Strong Metal Ox. Your husband benefit from you as your Strong Fire helps to keep his Strong Metal in control. Your husband is also your wealth to your Strong Fire. So though your horsocope isn't the most compatible, but your five element is compatible. Therefore, your incompatibility isn't the most incompatible pair. So it isn't really that bad. Also, you can improve the relationship by having more water element. Please refer to this chart for five element and relationship:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net Hope that helps. Warmest Regard…

1. To be honest, it is no value to take a compass direction and not use it. The Compass School Feng Shui, is not only about taking a general reading and (full stop). 2. To enhance a sector, or neutralise a sector or problem; the Compass School Feng Shui (especially Flying Star) has both the TOOLs as well as the means to understand each sector. 3. Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, a tree trunk should preferably not "slice" thru the main entrance door or window of our home. If it slices the neighbour's -- not our concern... (This is still a poison arrow or sha qi towards that neighbour - not our home). Nancy W. wrote: I have used the compass direction to determine that…

Dear Anon, The main consideration - especially on the placement of the main door is to look at the plot of land. For example, if the land is not flat but there is some sort of hill behind the plot of land, the main entrance must not be placed at the back or facing the hill. This is an important consideration. Since you have so many concerns, you can look at our International `worry-free' package on layout assessment to suit you and your family member's Ba Zi:- http://www.geomancy.net/shoppingcart/store.cgi?action=link&sku=OFFPCHUNT2 Warmest Regards, Cecil

Yes, Master Lee. I think the surrounding is good. This is a fairly large residential community, not zoned for commercial ( shops, restaurants,...). Marked A lot is what I'm considering. The lot as you can see tapered in the back and treees are all around here. The drainage is 2 lots over on the right. Should I do anything to fix the odd shape for luck? I really appreciated your advice. V

Hi Master, I've heard that it is good to add a partition inbetween Main door and window to avoid the "Qi" from directly flowing out. But have also read that placing a partition after the main door is bad as it blocks the "Qi" from going into the house. Please advise if you would recommend placing a partition based on the floor plan. Thanks!

I'm not very sure off it but I believe it is also deal with 00 ending sound inauspicious. As most shopping selling price tagthe cents is always included in it. Please advice. I believe this is more marketing than feng shui. You see the reason why most people will price at 19.90 or 19.99 is that to the person buying it it does not seem like $20 as it is like or within the $10 plus. But in actual fact, it is actually $20. Just like if you price $99. It seems like it is less than $100 so mo…

Dear Anon, 1. Ideally, these figurines should face an `open space' such as an open window, the living room. 2. It should not be placed on the same wall as the toilet. 3. It should not face the kitchen. 4. It should not be placed in the bedroom. 5. It should not face the toilet or a bedroom door. 6. It should not be placed in the kitchen. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Carren, CARREN CHARLES wrote: How do we know the right direction to place a bed? CARREN CHARLES wrote: Says our best direction is west, we are laying on the bed with headboard behind our head: The best way to define the direction is by the positioning of your head and feet. ie say your best direction is West. This means that your head should be pointing West and your feet will be pointing in the opposite direction East. So this menas your headboard will be behind your head at the west. Hope that helps.
