Dear Madan, 1. Under Period 7, a Double 7 is considered auspicious. 2. Thus, if the house continues to remain under Period 7 and there is a Double 7, then it is still auspicious house. 3. For example, in the Year 2005, if there are no major renovations made, a house built under 1984 to 2003 will continue to have a birth chart based on Period 7. 4.If so happens that this is a Double 7 (under Period 7), the house will continue to enjoy this Double 7. 5. However, in a period 8, 9 etc.. house, and it so happens that there is a Double 7 e.g. at the main entrance, than this is a different matter altogether. 6. In the same `order' under Period 1, Double 1's is very auspicious;…

Dear Anon, Basically, in terms of bed placement. You should follow these priority:- 1. It is most important that the bedroom is located at the one of the 4 good directions based on the Eight House concept. Meaning that if you divide the house from the centerpoint, your bedroom should be located West (in your case). As long as the bedroom is in a good sector, the issue of the bed position becomes less of an issue, as regardless of where you actually sleep, you are still sleeping in a suitable sector of the house. 2. As rooms are small now-a-days, so it is frankly, very difficult for most people to have the luxuary to arrange furnitures so that it can fit the best placem…

Dear Joselyn, 1. Can understand your concern. It is very common even locally in Singapore for families to move their stove to the back of the home. But do take note of the following situations: 1.1 If possible for married couples, avoid having two stoves i.e. one in the back yard area and other stove in the "dry kitchen". 1.2 If there are two stoves installed, try to make sure that all (burners) hobs or burners add together totals = even number. Thus if the backyard stove has say 3 (burners) hobs, then the dry kitchen should preferably have 3 hobs and the combined total no. of (burners) hobs = 6. 1.3 Those induction stoves are not counted or should not be counted. Thu…

Frankly, what is there to have "bad" Feng Shui if your neighbours are still staying at the top floor corner of a townhouse. It is unlike having a toilet above things like the dining table or living room i.e. we are talking about human beings. Anonymous wrote: I have an L-shaped townhouse meaning that I owned a ground floor and first floor townhouse which was converted to a double-storey house plus my neighbour's ground floor corner townhouse which I have bought. Is it okin terms of good fengshui when there are other neighbours still staying at the top floor corner townhouse?

1. One can apply the concept: G.I.G.O. (Garbage in; garbage out). 2. If one is applying the Chinese Horoscope; most of the time; they are just using your Year of Birth. 3. For example, most of the books will say:- if your birthdate is between: 7 Feb 1978 to 27 Jan 1979, you are born in the YEAR of the Horse. Reference: http://www.lovesigns.net/horoscope/ayear/a60-80.htm 4. Often, a reputable site will provide a good analysis of your ba zi. Based on MORE information: YEAR / MONTH / DAY / TIME of birth to derive your ba zi. 5. Thus, the more inputs given: YY/MM/DD/HRS; often, the better is the analysis:- Most Chinese Horoscope ================== Usually looks at Yea…

Dear Ooi Loong Seong, OOI LOONG SEONG wrote: My birth date is 06-11-1970, 8.40 am. I am wondering for other master my earthly branch of the month is dog instead of pig as per your calculation. What is the difference. Frankly, this has been covered time and time again. If you search the forum, there will be posts answering this. That is the difference between the Xia (Seasonal Calendar) vs Lunar Calendar difference. Our website uses Lunar Calendar for many reasons ie stand calendar format between all our tools, as well as the lunar calendar chart has shown time and time again in our analysis to provide a better analysis of a person chart, plus there are also many advanc…

Dear Leslie, 1. First try to check whether you had buried your deceased dog at 150 degrees sector i.e. from the centrepoint of the house to that sector be it inside or outside the house. 2. This is govern by the Tai-su or the Grand Duke's concept (or also known as Grand Duke of Jupiter)that the Grand Duke does not like to be disturbed or this may bring bad luck or misfortune. 3. Thus to-date this is the Lunar Year of the Snake and you must not disturb the earth at South-South-East or exactly 150 degrees be it inside or outside the house. 4. Avoid digging the earth along the 150 degrees i.e. if you stand at the centrepoint of the house, you should try to avoid digging eart…

Dear Tigger's Mom, Please see below:- However, if the plot of land is almost flat or level and if there is a view towards NE, than one can also arrange the home to become a NE facing home. Or alternatively, if the home so happens to have a double 8 at a specific sector, one can make this the busiest part of the home. What you can do is to do "zero base" Feng Shui, or work out the best placement of e.g. living room, main door, bedroom areas etc... i.e. several alternatives to see if one can further fine tune the layout to optimize on as many Feng Shui factors such as Eight House best directions (Ba Zhai) and also work on the Flying Star numbers: the purpose is to o…

1. It is best to look at this issue based on the concept of the Holy Trinity of Chinese Luck system:- 1.1 Heaven Luck - what one is born with (and the dreaded "prediction" of Luck for or against a person. 1.2 Earth Luck - Feng Shui of the home and office. 1.3 Human or Man Luck - factors. 2.1 Amongst all the above Three "forms of Holy Trinity of Luck". The Heaven Luck segment has the most number of escape clauses. From things like education, one's surroundings - shaped by family, friends; and some even say things like pilanthropy - doing good etc.. or karma sort of thing. 2.2 Under Heaven Luck also one must never fall under : auto-suggestion and self-fullfilling proph…

Hi Cecil, Thank you very much for your reply. You've been a great help. With regards to the "Fortune Bagua" I told you, its a basic one: metal, in octagonal shape, has Eight Trigrams engraved on it, with chinese writings in-between every trigram and a chinese writing also in the middle. Furthermore, is there anyway you can help me improve my life overall since year 2001 was not that good and i intend to find ways to make it better this year 2002 in terms of career and work. Can you suggest anything that would help. Again, thank you and looking forward for more advise from you regarding the above. Sincerely, wilyam

Dear Anon, It is best to look at Feng Shui in a holistic approach i.e. looking at "WEALTH" from various angles such as: 1. How good is the Shapes and Form of the home i.e. external environment, the site, the building and the home. 2. Using Compass School methods such as Flying Star and Eight House. 3. By simply focusing on a corner of the house and to assume that this corner "makes "or "breaks" our achievement of WEALTH is in my opinion, too naive a concept. In my opinion, it is more important to get more areas correct, or `score' more points or marks in all areas to make it a better home will provide more results. Furthermore, to say that a `wealth area' is at a specific…

These are some considerations: 1. There are often four major considerations if one wants to place a water body somewhere:- 1.1. Trial and error: Some people, and based on their feelings felt that a water feature at a certain location would be good for them. 1.2. Flying Star Feng Shui: Need to plot a flying star chart and detect where is the water position. And place a water feature if that location is appropriate e.g. in the living room area or clear space area. And not the toilet. 1.3. Frontage of the garden. In past forum messages, I had mentioned that of all places in a home; often 60 to 70 percent of the time, even if one does not look at Feng Shui, any water position…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am born in 1954 which is Kua No. 1. My home front door is facing NW direction which is not favourable to me as far as I understand.. :Moreover, the front door is facing the kitchen door at the back of the house directly and the kitchen door is90 deg angleto the toilet door i.e you will be able to see the toilet partly viewing from the kitchen..How can I improve the situation? The main door seeing the kitchen door is not as bad, as the main door leading to an open window (which will mean you have a qi leak out of the house). Frankly, it would be worst if you can see the toilet bowl from the main door. But so far you only see the toilet door.…

Dear Anon, Yes, sometime back in the 1970's it was very common to purchase boomerangs from Oz. Frankly, I myself had also did decorate my home with a single boomerang and at one time two huge fork and spoons! So far, to me, it seems that they do not remotely look like knifes or swords. Thus I feel it is OK. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon: The Black Hat feng shui template (from my experience) doesn't work! Don't be fooled into thinking one plant in one corner will change your luck. The true purpose of feng shui is to balance your environment then you will (and I can attest to that) prosper! Please read through some of the past postings to see for yourself or if it is too much for a novice - splurge on a report from Cecil & Robert - it's worth it! Wishing you the best, Sincerely, Elena Wagner

Dear Joanna, 1. I hope I understand your message correctly. Do you mean that the bed should be on the opposite wall from the bedroom door? If so, this is often the norm - for privacy and also, one can often see who comes thru the door, first. 2. But, one must be careful of the "coffin position". This is where, the feet should not point directly towards the bedroom door. Here, this is symbolic of carrying a dead body out of the home. If there is really no choice, either: 1. do have a bed head - or a small bed head cabinet where one can place one's alarm clock and some personal items e.g. watch etc.. 2. the other alternative is leave a few inches gap between the wall an…

Dear Anon, To give another "crude" way of associating with language, for example, some people use language in the "wrong way". For example, in Singapore, some of us learn dialect or use dialects to 'scold" people or use "foul language" widely. Here, the act of verbal abuse or like a politician, using much of the language to stir up people, can be considered as the "fire element". Anyone therefore, scolds someone, use 4-letter words can be considered as the act of using the "fire element". This is just an example. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I heard from my friend that since i have a Chye, 'cai ', in my name, i should display the word 'cai ' at home. I was told that the 'cai' is to be placed upside down, paste on the wall. Then put a vaseor container with some coins inside and place iton the floor under the 'cai '. This will help to generate wealth for me? Is it true? Please advise me on my wealth location. Thanks. Frankly, this isn't correct. Whatever meaning your name has, can't be activated by placing something in your home. The meaning in your name is only so call 'activated' when people call your name. It is not activated by any other means. That is why when most people choo…
