1. High probability of the male (if he is a bachelor) to encounter the opposite sex and this may lead to romance. 2. The above is based on "vertical Flying Star Feng Shui" analysis. Under Flying Star there is the "horizontal Flying Star" which many know as the common "Flying Star Feng Shui with the 15 different sectors" .... and Period e.g. Period 7, Period 8 etc... Dear Constance, constance king wrote: hello, i would just want to know if someone with fire element, is it alright to have an aquarium ? thanks so much for all your helpful informations. If you are a weak fire, then water won't be good for you. So not advisable to have an aquarium if possible. If you are a strong fire, then water will help to destroy your excess fire element. Then, it is perfectly fine to have an aquarium. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Chetan, I believe, if you are referring to the use of the Chinese Astrology, for example, ( reference : www.lovesigns.net ), like the Zodica signs e.g. Gemini, Cancer etc... are considered explanations as to the different characteristics of each individual. Under astrology, it can tell you the characteristic differences but this where it ends. If we are referring to the Eight House Theory, where one is a West or East facing house person, one can still make relations work. What is more important if one is using say astrology or believe in it, try to `learn' or understand the differences of the two `animal' signs better. For those who do not really want to rely on the …

Dear Anon, To be honest, these are more of Chinese customs or beliefs than Feng Shui. And these customs should be consideredas "Nice-to-do" and not "Must-do". Thus, it would be good to follow the procedures (No harm). But if one cannot follow the procedure for one reason or the other, should not be an issue. Traditionally, it is still more important if good dates can be selected. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, This is an interesting question. 1. Chinese have many Gods. Many of the `first' class Gods are often placed (if one notice carefully to `guard' the main entrance). Gods such as Goddess of Mercy etc.. are usually placed overlooking the frontage of the house. 2. Since the `kitchen' is usually behind the house, some Chinese also felt the need to protect the back of the house. Here, one can than better understand why the advice is always to have the `first class' Gods face a window or the main entrance door. Usually in the living room when one faces the windows, it most likely is the frontage of the house. Hope this helps to better understand the rationale for pl…

Dear Elena, The two small windows above the bed should not be an issue as it allows ventilation or proper circulation in the rooms. The main `impact' is when it is the actual windows and where possible here, do not have the headrest lean against the window. This factor is morre important consideration. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Nancy, Nancy Liu wrote: Originally, my engagment is on May12'06 and my wedding is on May14'06. However all the hotels are fully booked. I guess these dates must be very auspicious. This time the dates are on weekday and I think I won't have any problem booking the hotels but not sure whether it's a good date or not. Please advice whether the new dates are ok or not. Both of us are born in the year of Tiger. To be frankly, I really don't like to post or answer questions relating to wedding dates for a simply reason. How can i improve this home ? Thisis a bit of ashoebox house, apparentlyfirst built in 1951. Frommy simple study of Feng Shui it would seem this house is attrocious in many aspects of layout , but it is very very cheap rent , rent prices in sydney are over the moon at this time , andlast time i looked i wasnta millionaire The room which is large enough to be a bedroom is in the north west corner , the front and back doors are in a straight line , so i put potted plants and small statueshalfway through the hallway to gather some Qi, i dont use the front door much , except on sunny afternoons, i currently have my office desk positioned with my back to the door …

These are some considerations: 1. You should check what type of bagua mirror you are using. 2. If you do a search under this forum; there are already lots of resouces on the type of mirrors: 2.1 In GENERAL, the mirror that you should be using; in modern times is a conVEX mirror. 2.2 In the past, perhaps, it was harder to mould a conVEX mirror; often especially in the 1950s to 1960s -1970's the most common mirrors are the FLAT type. 3. The best mirror, to use today to deflect poison arrow or sha qi is the conVEX mirror. While in the past the FLAT type is the only version available thus in the past, there was no choice but use this version : which often has a bagua trigram …

Dear Glyn, Usually, the most important consideration is when one is moving in i.e. the date one moves into the house is the most important date to `note'. For changing of the hot plates, some over zealous people, may look at the dates but, in my opinion, it is not that important. All these falls under `Chinese beliefs and customs' rather then FS. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, You have to determine what is the purpose of the audit. If it is an audit of your apartment, then you should take a compass bearing of your main entrance door. If you are doing an audit of the entire building, then take a reading of the building entrance. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Lip Seong, 1. Sorry to learn about your situation. 2. Your landed property seems to be a terrace "type of home" where qi enters from either North "backyard" area or South "frontage". 3. In general, based on my quick look at your layout plan:- As qi comes into your home from either North or South, unfortunately, under current Period 8, this North sector or the back of your home is influenced by :- MS #7 with WS #7 and Base = #3 In general, Flying star is based on qi flow and unfortunately, there are double #7 which under this current period is "theft-loss of wealth" sector influenced by bad #3 = career / romance / issues 4. Thus, to "plug this leak" coming fro…

Dear Anon, Please refer to (C) Geomancy.net's Flying Star report input template. Since your house is located at 160 degrees, then select 165 degrees since your house is considered as between the compass direction 157.5 degrees to 172.4 degrees. Your main door is located at the south. If one looks carefully at the attached template, one will find that each sector is based on 15 degrees each. For example North 1 is at 345 degrees, North 2 is at 0 degrees etc.. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Essentially, the wealth element does not change for a weak or strong element person. What happens is that if on is a strong element person, he/she can then be able to take advantage of the situation. One way of defining wealth under the Five elements concept is that under the Destructive cycle where Fire destroys Metal, if one is a strong Fire, then one is able to destroy Metal to create `wealth'. If one's element is weak e.g. weak fire, it is harder to create wealth unless the element of fire is strengthened in order to `destroy' the Metal element to produce `wealth'. The above is the method under the Five elements to explain how one creates wealth. If one can…

Dear Anon, Frankly, this may not be a good idea. Real water in the room, in my opinion, may harbour germs. Plus you had also mentioned dampness in the bedroom. Especially since, this water is not cleaned at all. In my opinion, I do not see a problem with a TV set in the bedroom: 1. Many of us read too many Feng Shui books `warning' us about having a tv set in the bedroom. The chief reason is: that the screen `acts' like a mirror. 2. But I have often mentioned that, this is not an issue for many people. 3. There are many people who have shifted home, or placed a tv set in their bedroom. And, do we ever hear of "Mr A moved to a new home. Placed a tv set in this bedroom. He …

Ihave a problem to determine if the lake is considered to be behind or at the front of my terrace house. My main entrance faces my car porch and opposite are other terrace houses. There is only a small window on this side apart from the main door. Upon entering the main door is the kitchen + toilet + maid room, followed by dining hall and then living hall. My living room has large glass window and sliding door and it overlooks a 20ft garden and about 5ft below the garden is a jogging track as well as open space of about 33ft followed by a hugh lake. If the main door is considered as the front of the house, then the lake is at the back which is bad feng shui. However i…

Dear Elena, Yes, when one changes the roof of a house, one should change the birth chart. But if the house is already under Period 7 (this period, for example if the house was built in 1985 and recently, there is a change in the roof), it will still be a period 7 house. If the house was built in 1980 (Period 6) and there is a recent change in the roof, then the house should take on a Period 7's house. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Since Grand Duke resides at the West, this year, best not to as you had mentioned not to antagonise the Grand Duke, here. Majority of normal homes don't often use "red dragons" to guard the home. Using dragons to guard the home is thus not common place. Best to avoid placing one at the West entrance. In terms of which elements to use at a specific sector, it is best to use the Flying star numbers to deduce whether a sector can or cannot use red rather than assume that because West = metal = white = tiger, then red = fire to be used here to control metal. Frankly, not too good a method to use. Warmest Regards, Cecil

There is nothing much you can do about the room being your death sector unless you there is an alternative bedroom for you to sleep in that is more suitable. At least, you are sleeping in East facing position which will help to offset the death sector issue. The other thing you can do is to ensure you boost your own ba zi luck by choosing the colour scheme favourable to your ba zi element. Of course you also need to be careful that certain…

Dear Anon, Currently, there is no `evidence' to say that opening or closing a door which happens to be at the east direction will distrub the grand duke. It is in my personal opinion that, the Grand Duke does not `stay' or `sit' at a door only be be `banged' upon. Collectively one must understand that (most importantly) the Grand Duke refers to Chinese Astrology where the Grand Duke is based on the planet `Jupiter'. As Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system, it is suppose to extert a substantial influence on our planet. Overall, it is perfectly ok to have the door at the location. Only remember to try not to do any renovations at the location e.g. the wall sur…

Hi Kaushal, Generally, you are refering to the fact that your house has a base star forming the Luo Shu square where adding the numbers from each of the direction gives you 15. Yes, I have not doubt that your chart looks like a luo shu square. And it does have number combination influence. However, Flying Star is not so simple as to just looking at the numbers of the base star. It is even more important to understand the interactions of the Flying Star when encountered with two important stars that constantly fly around the base star every 20-year and yearly. The monthly and daily stars are often not so important as quite difficult and also not to mentioned tedious to w…
