Sorry, I thought exams are fixed by the examiner and not the other way around. In my opinion, if one has studied (smart) and well prepared for an examination; the date is not a major issue. Really; this is the first time I heard this kind of "self-select" exam date. A first for me! As for your feel that your husband may be cheating on you; you should perhaps consult your immediate family e.g. parents or very close friends to discuss what you could do. Often, direct communication with spouse could help to improve the relationship. When it comes to such a thing; best to consider professional help - don't keep everything inside of you.

Dear Anon, Apologise, can you elaborate further what you mean by below the center line. In addition, can you elaborate not just the bedroom but what is at the `centrepoint' of the house (if I get u correctly). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Kaushal, 1. More importantly, if your home has a `missing corner' you should understand what the missing corner represents. 2. This URL shows the missing corner and its significance:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/building.htm 3. Yes, a missing corner can be `extended' by using mirrors to `increase' its depth. However, this does not necessary mean that it is the wealth corner. But rather, if a sector or area has missing corners greater than 33.3 percent; it is considered a missing corner. 4. Where possible, the location that you are placing the mirror should not be an inauspicious Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Anon, There is no mircle solution for helping you sell the house in terms of feng shui. The only things you can do is maybe use some of the good points about the house especially if it is feng shui friendly. You will be better off making sure that you have price the house at a correct price, and ensuring that the place is kept clean and look new (ie fresh coat of paint). Most people will like that. Also, ensure you get an agent with lots of network contacts. The more comfortable the people that come to view your house look, the more likely you will be able to sell the place. That is about the best advise you can follow. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee…

1. Usually, facing a wall implies that often, in some instances, we may have our back to a door. 2. Thus on it's own, work facing a wall is perfectly alright. 3. Given that you are new and that this type of layout in some office is common to save space or utilise limited space. 4. Under Eight House Feng Shui, it is considered good to sit facing a good direction. So, if you are facing a good direction (Nice-to-have) and not a must have, then this will be one plus point. 5. Having one's back to an entrance door - often is more of personal "comfort" level, as often, nowadays many work on a computer and the screen is visible - plus often many of us don't like being "surpi…

Hi Master. I have a question regarding Ba Zi personal dressing colors. I understand the importance of wearing the most suitable colors according to our element needs, but it’s some times difficult to convince women and young children to follow that. So, I wonder if special jewellery with elements marks ( fire, water etc) could suit the requirements of Ba Zi, bypassing the limitations for the dress code. Thank you

Has anyone read FS for Idiots? I would like your opinion please. I like the charts they have and the classical style. I have thrown out all the Lin and Too books I bought. There are too many contradictions there. So far I like this Forum's books (I bought them and use them)and the above. I'm open to any suggestions of other "classic FS" texts. Thank you.

Dear Anon, Before I elaborate on your question, I like to share with you a little about the Compass School Theory such as the Flying Star theory. In my opinion, I believe that one way of looking at Feng Shui audit lies with the inclination of the Feng Shui practioner. I mentioned in a few forum messages sometime back that some of us are more inclined to being a Left brain while others are Right brained. I mentioned `inclined' because unlike the continuum of Hot and Cold, most of us are somewhere in the `middle'. We are not totally `left' or `right'. Some of us are more artistic, spatial etc.. On the other end, others are `logical', enjoys mathematics etc... To a certain …

Dear Max, 1. Yes, in a general `reading' taking into consideration one's YEAR of birth i.e. for those born between 18 Feb 1958 to 7 Feb 1959, the YEAR element is an Earth Dog. 2. Pillars of Destiny based on YEAR, MONTH, DAY and TIME of birth. In the " Four Pillars" analysis, not only is the YEAR element i.e. EARTH-DOG is looked into but also the MONTH, DAY and TIME of birth. Under Pillars of Destiny, the main important element is the MONTH of birth and the other variables i.e. YEAR, DAY and TIME are looked at in total. Thus one can be a " EARTH - DOG " based on the YEAR of birth but, this is too general and has to be looked into in greater detail based on Pillars of Dest…

These are some considerations: 1. As you had mentioned, the oak tree is not in your property. 2. However, it becomes a threat only when e.g. standing inside the home (at an opening) e.g. such as an open window and /or main door and if one can see the trunk of the oak tree slicing towards such openings then this is considered as a poison arrow or sha qi. Thus this is considered as a threat. 3. The concept that if it cannot be seen, it no longer becomes a threat applies. Thus simple things like installing a blind or a day curtain may help to "blur" out the offending "object". 4. One of the "secret" weapons in Feng Shui are birds chirping around. Thus, some trees help to at…

Dear Ang, 1. Last year, a few users brought up this subject of the `deadly' Five yellows or strong earth, which is still at the South until 4 Februrary 2000. 2. This calendar of Minor and Major dates which I had complied for the benefit of everyone is at: http://www.geomancy.net/calander/index.htm will show the start of the Chinese New Year on 5 February 2000. It is also useful for a first glance at the `good or bad' dates for an activity or event. 3. This determining of the Five Yellows for this year is based on the Yearly Flying Star Chart. 4. It is too generalised to be of any use to everyone as it is based on the calculation of the Base star of the Flying Star. 5. It …

Dear Anon, 1. Most of the time, you will find two lion statues (which are standing tall and strong) on both sides of a main entrance. 2. Fudogs are more like the small remote cousins of the majestic lion or the equivalent of `poodles'. 3. This is quite similar to live pet dogs that some of us keep. Some keep dogs for both as a companion (inside the home) and if there is a garden, some keep to `protect' the house. 4. As these are beliefs, it is still acceptable to have the figurines inside a place especially a hotel. Furthermore, these figurines are not religious objects and are mere statues. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Ang Chye, Traditionally, when a child was born, the parents or grandparent would consult a Geomancer to find a name for the child. The first thing the Geomancer does is to look at the child's Ba Zhi (Pillars of Destiny). For example, my grandfather was told that my elder brother lacked `water' element in his Ba Zhi. His name has one character `water' i.e. " Chwee " added to his name. As for me, since I did not lack any elements, my name had a " Tiong " or " centre " (implying balance) in one of the characters. For example, a fictitious name could be: Tan Leng Chwee (where: Tan is the surname, Leng Chwee is the last name). The " Chwee " was added to such a name. This …

Dear Constantine, 1. Yes, from my personal experience with clients having problems with fish tank at the centre-point of the house. This has been mentioned in several of the past forum messages i.e. relating to health problems. 2. In my opinion, your family members are correct to advise you to remove the fish tank at the balcony. This is because, (if I believe) that it is kinda of tall and not `flat' e.g. pond. 3. When a fish tank is tall, it no longer `behaves' like e.g. clear space or provide clear space. Unlike a pond or a pool of water. In fact, it becomes or acts more like a mountain effect. Imagine, having a `mountain' right in-front of the balcony - where there sho…

Dear Anon, 1. Sorry can you further elaborate on what you are asking as I not too sure what you are trying to say. 2. If a bedroom is `odd shaped' one can use built in cabinets to create a `room' that is of a `better' shape e.g. a rectangular shaped room instead. An odd shaped room is no good for a couple's marriage. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I have one big question. I heard what it is dangerous for marriage to have a fish tank on the left side, if you stay facing the entrance door. But this is our South East side, which supposed to be good for Wealth. Sorry don't quite understand what you are trying to say. Fish tank on the left side of what? And what you mean stay facing the entrance door? Remember, that there are lots of general feng shui tips available, but a lot of time most tips does not explain the reasons behind and and often is meant for certain situation. So sometimes these tips only works when a certain suituation arise. Generaly, for water feature under the flying st…

Dear Wanama, Wanama Thefirst wrote: I have a question about my best directions and my real element. There are two concepts in feng shui that can be used on direction:- 1. Eight House or suitability is often used on house facing direction andbed / study / work direction. More on smaller scale application. 2. Ba Zi element or direction is often used more on macro application. ie Staying in the Northern part of the Earth, North part of the country, house element direction etc. It is less used on a smaller scale level. The reason why the two concepts can sometimes have conflicting information is simple. Eight House is based on YEAR of birth, while Ba Zi Element is based o…

1. Applying Feng Shui is a holistic approach. 2. You may want to read thru the first page of the wiki:- http://wiki.geomancy.net 3. Even applying proper Feng Shui, there is a holistic approach to it. 4. Honestly giving a simple sketch or giving some details is very hard to find out really what's wrong. As often, a full Feng Shui audit needs informatinon like the Shapes and Forms of the site / building and unit and even compass school. 5. If one really wants to DIY, then you may have to understand - Key Success Factors in D.I.Y. Feng Shui and many more considerations that I had highlighed in the above wiki. Quote: Granted there are many causes but I'm suspecting …

i can't move the dog to another house cos i only own 1 house. and its quite a small one, so i can't "keep the dog away from me" too. it doesn't help that i like dogs, and so is my wife. so i was wondering if there was any way both me and the dog can co-exist in the same house. good thing is my dog did not die during the 2 years she was here with me, but i was thinking things may be better if there is no "clashing". any suggestions? thanks for the help

Dear Cheryl Usually, it is best to determine what type of wealth "corner" or sector this is. In general, if you have applied Flying Star Feng Shui; the numbers have different connotations:- 1. Mountain Star #8 = relationship, networking, luck = or auspicious mountain star. Activated with a "mountain". 2. Water Star #8 or #1 = water wealth location. Activated with a water feature 3. Base Star #8 = similar to Para 1. However, these stars must not be looked into isolation. Thus, you should have knowledge of MS#, WS# and Base# at each sector inorder to properly balance or enhance each sector. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: Dear Sir, my wealth corner is l…

Dear Kaushal, 1. Under Feng Shui, this is considered inauspicious as `beneifical' Qi is suppose to come into the house and meander slowly circulating inside the house and `exit' the home through other openings. 2. Where possible, it should not enter the house e.g. the main entrance and exit out through an opposite window. Here, Qi is not allowed to circulate in the home. 3. The best option is to place a screen close to the main door area to allow the Qi to meander into the house. The screen need not necessarily be of full height. It can be of a lower height where possible it can cover e.g. three-quarters of the door. 4. Another alternative is to close the window which is …
