Dear Anil, 1. For the sector, if it is out of balance, then #5 and #2 should be cured. Before this, it is looking at the three Mountain #, Water # and Base # together. 2. Applying the concept of " If one cannot see it; it no longer becomes a threat ". In such a situation, you may want to use e.g. day curtain to solve the problem. But if you prefer to open the curtain; one good remedy is the use of Two forks: Please see the attached illustration below. (Note: for those who participate thru this forum using mailing list, you may have to log in to the forum to view this graphic as all attachments are not sent thru the mailing list option.) Hello, again Several sources have recommended using metal as a "cure" for having the Five-Yellow at my front door, this year (2018). I have ordered a wind chime to place there, but I'm wondering if the steel security door/screen that is already on the door provides the same protection. Thank you!

Dear Butter, 1. There are two alternatives: 1.1 This may not be practical but it is always good to use a good compass with relatively good mass. But if you cannot obtain one or find it not worth the while than follow para 1.2 (see below) 1.2 Method 1, go to an empty plot of land nearby or a grass field (becareful not to wear any jewellery or take a few readings from the grass field incase it does also have metallic objects on the ground. After which, get a layout plan and try to `superimpose' the north-south direction on the layout plan. 1.3 The next alternative is to follow the surveyor's method under this picture:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htm Do not tak…

This is the first I had heard that the center of the house should be clear. The center of our house is in the staircase. Is this a problem? Is there a cure? Nansi

Dear Sophia, Yes, so far, I have seen many people who had placed a micro-wave next to the refridgerator and even opposite it. If one sees the productive cycle flow of the five elements, metal supports water, this is a productive cycle. Thus no issue. It is not like water destroys fire under the destructive cycle flow. Which is often considered not auspicious. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Further to what I had mentioned, in a case of a middle house or even shop-house, but if this middle shop-house is facing a T junction, then it will be affected by bad qi. Please see picture, under the url below:- http://www.geomancy.net/events/ExxonMobil_FS_Talk/em_talk_1_slide_21.htm

Hi Mike, For everyone, there are will be an Eight House direction and Ba Zi element direction. For some directions, Eight House may say North is Excellent while Ba Zi may be weak Fire so North (Water) is unfavourable. If you encounter such as similiar situation, then North isn't the best overall direction to choose from, compared to say a Health direction with favourable element ie South (for weak fire person). Where two reports tells you it is auspicious, this would be considered the best overal direction. TheBa Zi and Eight House reports can only give you a guide as to which directions are better for you. As to whether or not you can make it, will depend a lot on yo…

Dear Rose, Normally, mathematics can be used as an analogy to your question: 1. Feng Shui is about `earth luck'. While Pillars of destiny is about `heaven's luck'. 2. Feng Shui and other Chinese divinity methods are all about trying to increase one's luck. 3. How then do we increase our `earth luck'.? 4. Quantum Leap in Feng Shui For earth luck, the major idea is to either have a quantum leap in Feng Shui luck e.g. a home with good or excellent FS qualities. A home with Quantum Leap in Feng Shui may bring in say e.g. 60 to 90 percent of all the luck there is for the home. 5. Without doing anything, for example, a person staying in such a home will automatically receive …

Dear Emily, Only if #8 is a Water star, can we best activate it. However, in your question, since #8 = base star, it will have to take on the characteristics of it's personal element i.e. this is suppose to be an auspicious earth element. And on it's own, using water is not a good idea. Since water is like having a "hole to drawn the mountain". Not the kind of idea to do so. In fact, under a Flying star chart, if there is e.g. a base #8 while one of the other stars is a #5, because of Period 8, the #8 is suppose to reign supreme or take precedence over only one #5 in the chart. But if there are two or more #5 with #8 in a sector, than, this may over power #8. For exa…

Hi, Symbolism in Feng Shui is very important. Even if it is not a real object, symbolism is a powerful `tool'. For example, when we mention `blue roof'. If one is not Feng Shui aware some may ask this question what has blue got to do with water? Here, if we are Feng Shui " aware " we will link Water = Blue. Equally, if we have a wooden object shaped like a pyramid. Do we consider it wood = Wood element or because it is pyramid shaped it represents Fire element? In most cases symbolic takes precedence over the material. For the above example, the pyramid shaped object be it made of metal, glass etc.. should be considered a Fire element. Coming to the artificial fish tank,…

I stay in a rented flat located in the close vinicity of a hospital and faces a construction site across the road where there are numerous hollow metal beams (of a new building of slightly taller height under construction) pointing towards the main door (bright red in color). Just behind my flat (where my bedroom and living window are), there are two railway tracks (for the tube) and a big dead tree (it is winter) just after one of the tracks outside my bedroom window. Do I need to use a Bagua mirror at the top of the main door to reflect the Shar Chi (I don't wish any accident to occur on the opposite though) and hang 6 metal coins at the living or bedroom window? Or i…

Dear Anon, To give an example of a `minor' leak:- A house can be very unsuitable to the breadwinner: i.e. death / disaster i.e. the front door. Often, this is considered as a major leak. If the main door is the `irritation' and `spook' sector, this can be considered as a `minor' leak. Some other simple minor leaks include e.g. a wall clock facing out of a living room window. Often, it is difficult for some of us to understand what are major and minor leaks. But, take it this way, any leak: major or minor may contribute to an accumulation of problems. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Is it okey to put your mirror facing the main door? Generally, this isn't recommended. The reason is because the mirror may bounce your Qi out of the house, thus Qi will not be able to circulate inside the house. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi Master Cecil I have a one big rectangular mirror placed in my dining room. Under feng shui is it gd to place it? Generally, mirrors under feng shui can bounce double the good or bad luck depending on where it is placed. The more appropriate is to avoid:- 1. Placing mirror where it bounces the Qi out of the houses. For example if you open a door and immediately see a mirror, any good qi that is trying to enter into the house, may be bounced right out of the house. 2. Mirror must either be a single piece or 3 pieces. Never double, as when you view it is like you are being divided. Which can signify divorce. 3. Mirrors in bathrooms is or i…

Dear Maria, Typically, the most undesirable situation occurs when the toilet door is positioned such that it is nearly visible from the dining table. If it merely serves as an entryway to the toilet, the situation is not as severe. However, the best course of action is to keep the toilet door closed, particularly if the toilet bowl is directly visible from the dining table. This is generally the sole solution for such circumstances, as there is not much else that can be done. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Anon, Yes, some Feng Shui books often indicate that when we cook, we should be able to see who is coming into the kitchen. This is a commonsense approach: 1. Not often, we will leave the entrance door open. But, sometimes, when we cook, the noise may drown e.g. a bell or someone calling us at the main entrance. Especially so if it is any of our loved ones ... especially the very young children who may have just came back from school. 2. Should someone have left the entrance door open, we may see "an intruder" come in ..eg towards us.. (Most unlikely.. but this is what some of the book(s) say... Frankly, most of the time Para 1 and 2 does not happen. As often, we …
