Dear Jeffrey, If I am not wrong all the variations you may have heard should be correct. This is because in the Chinese Culture, we have different types of dialects, (eg. hokkien, cantonese, teo chew, har kar etc), These dialects pronounce the words slightly differently creating the variations. For example, lets take a surname Chen in Chinese. In Hokkien it is refered to as Tan. Etc. Both are correct, just that they are pronounced differently. If you want to be sure you can use the simplified Chinese pronouncation used in han yu ping yin, eg Feng1 Shui3 (not any dialect form of it.). Dear Betty, As you mentioned that you since you moved into the house, you became sick. I would suggest that you:- 1. Use the shapes and form school to check your surroundings. However, a cul de sac under Feng Shui is inauspicious. Rather, it should be the `opposite' i.e. an inverted `wok' (Chinese wok). The above is a contributing factor to your sickness. 2. However, you may want to consider using the Flying Star as this would most likely `detect' where the sickness star is in the house. This can be combined with the Eight House to get a clearer picture. Perhaps, if you have not evaluated your house, you may like to get a free Eight House report. The detailed steps is und…

Dear Elena, No, many FS practitioners would not consider this a change of `birth chart'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

These are some considerations:- 1. Although Yin and Yang has existed for some time; Left and Right Brain "persons" are also classified being either Yin or Yang. 2. In addition; in selecting a career; one also has to look into the above cues... 3. For example, in the past, I had mentioned that we have to find out the child's inclination; 4. Here, we should look into the child's traits: some children are more spatial. Some people are more into the arts and humanities while others are more mathematical. 5. For example, a parent may sent a child to MIT, US if he has excellent skills in the mathematical side while a parent may sent a child to another different Ivy league scho…

These are the following assumptions:- 1. As you had not mentioned the birth chart of the apartment: if it is a Period 7: 1984 to 2003; then:- 1.1 It is disadvantages to place a water feature atyour proposed location markedin RED as "C". Depending on whether it is aSW2 or NE2 facing direction, a water feature, there may inadvertently inflame a star #3 at that sector. 1.2Especially ifit is a SW2 facing direction, then the water wealth is at marking "A". While marking B is suppose to be theauspicious indirectauspicious water wealth spirit sector. 1.3 WARNING or NOTE: 1.3.1 If the apartment is a Period 8, NE2, then best to avoid a water feature at Marking "A". Whil…

1. It depends:- 1.1. If the car garage is at the Basement or below street level: where it was dug into the ground; then not counted:- Basement (if your garage is at this level) Street Level = #01-xx 2nd storey(If your garage is at street level) = #02-xx 1.2. If the car garage is at Street Level, then the car garage (area) = #01-xx; while your unit, say on the 2nd storey = #02-xx. Please see attachment. Note: Not many apartments are greater than #99 storey's high. And the Flying Star House (Apartment) Report: does not look at apartments below ground level.

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi there, can you please tell me how to find the centrepoint in our odd shape house. please see the attached floor plan. Also, I know that a toilet directly facingthe main door is bad. Is there any cure on this? Thanks. 1. Please see the attach layout for the centerpoint. 2. It is not really auspicious, but at least the you cannot see the toilet bowl when the toilet door is left open. So not as bad. Anyway, due to the narrow corridor, not likely much that you can do except to keep the toilet door close when not using it. Hope that helps. Hi, Yes. It is preferred that the bedroom door not to be slanted as this is considered inauspicous for the couple. It should be like normal doors. As for the smaller door; the only way is to use a proper Feng Shui ruler, could measure it to see whether the length and breath are auspicious. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear All, Here are some questions which we can use as a guideline:- 1. How useful is Shapes and Form Feng Shui? We can make use of Shapes and Form Feng Shui to review our home with regards to the strengths and weakness / threats to our home. If we are choosing a new home, and take full advantage of Shapes and Form FS, we may get a Quantum Leap in Feng Shui LUCK. (This area is worth understanding). But do remember that it is easy to understand but difficult to apply in some instances. 2. Go on the Defensive... Even if a house is considered an EXCELLENT house (by virtue of its EXCELLENT Shapes and Form), this does not mean that such a house does not have a `defect'. The rul…

These are some considerations: 1. Glass is considered as belonging to the metal element. 2. I can understand why glass table is popular. As often, some consider it good for small spaces. 3. Actually what you mentioned, has more to do with common sense. Just ask any man; young or old: if a girl with short skirts is sitting facing the person, it is not so much of no good to see people's leg; but rather... what goes further than that! Think about it! 4. It is just like I had mentioned, previously: if one installs a full glass mirror at the dining table; and as most dining tables do not have any courtesy board to cover the leg area, one can also look further thru the legs ..…

Dear Sor Lan, Frankly, not sure whether, the ship sails "into" or "out-of" is a sure way to get more money. For sure, the seller of the ship, would instead be garanteed of some profit selling it to us. Anyway, under symbolism, in my opinion, if your ship is laden with gold ingots, I would have to say that it is best to sail "to port" or face inwards to your home. Here, wealth is suppose to come in. On the other hand, if the ship is empty, than, "let it set sail outwards" or pointed out of the home. Do let us know if at the end of the day, do you managed to get more wealth, this wayhttp://www.geomancy.net/wbimages/smiles/icon_smile.gif Warmest Regards, Cecil

The most less obvious method is to draw a small thin red line the line is the size of a thin red string or even a string directly above your head + shoulders will do. This is best method available: as the red line represent fire element to "melt" or destroy the concrete beam. Other than this, other methods are even more obvious.

You wrote: "I have the same question, their is little difference, my bed is kept in vertical position.. If anybody can help it would be very helpful." In my opinion, it is not a concern. It may be a concern if we have seen e.g. Mr Bean "sick" on the bed and the bed happens to collapse upon the sleeper. Then again, I believe, this is quite impossible in the real world or if so, one could easily get out of this predicament.

1. Please don't jump to the wrong conclusions. 2. Feng Shui also concerns with the amount of sun-light (or direct sun-light) coming into or "soaking into the walls of a home". 3. Please check out my previous postings with reference to Para 2. 4. Para 2 has nothing to do with Compass School of Feng Shui. Although, all "leaks" including Para 2 may add up to cause further problems. 5. Para 2, is about either the effects of direct sun-light (raditation) or heat (walls soak heat and slowly releases the heat in the evening - especially concern for countries close to the equator).

Dear Wasis, If the tree is still alive: 1. Check for any evidence of `roting' or decay. If e.g a branch had decayed and part of the branch breaks leaving part of the broken branch hanging like a `poison' arrow; make sure that this `arm' or branch gets "amputated" as soon as possible. *JOKE* Seriously, if one stands at the main entrance and facing out of the house, if the broken branch `act's like a knife cutting thru the house, then, cut off this branch as close as possible to the tree trunk. 2. On a regular basis, if the roots are visible, check if it is hollow / if possible the tree truck also with some solid object. If it sounds `empty', decay could have set in. I do n…

The Three popular figurines that come as a set are: Fu (Prosperity) Lu (Luck) Shou (Longevity Some pictures of each of these symbols are found here:- http://www.geomancy.net/mypictures/cgi-bin/mypictures.cgi?img=0&search=prosperity&cat=all&bool=and&x=12&y=14 The rationale for an inverted " Prosperity/wealth" is symbolic. Since Fu (prosperity is inverted) it implies that you are pouring wealth downwards. And since, some homes place this inside their main entrance: it literally means prosperity (wealth) is pouring down e.g. from heaven to earth. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Please see below:- Yes, you did the right thing. In Feng Shui, it is always best to have the stove face the Fire element direction. Yes, this is not ideal but it is better than having it next to a water element e.g. wash basin or refrigerator. The good news is that since you mentioned that your stove is facing the South, which belongs to the Fire element, it is acceptable to have a water position e.g. refrigerator to be facing the `fire' element ie. the stove to `cool down the Fire' element. Good Luck in your renovations!
