Aquick reply on the bench:- 1. As you had mentioned, it has been for a few years. And low and neat and tidy. In my opinion, therefore, will not affect the Feng Shui that much (if any). 2. As the frontage of your main door is considered bright (or still) able to have "bright hall" effect which is good. 3. So no need to take drastic steps in removing it. 4. Earlier, I mentioned, when you placed the bench, it a sense, symbolically, to some people, it means that "your cares" are only up to the bench area. Thus, in a sense, in my opinion, to your neighbour, perhaps, implies that they can do anything they want "out of this" boundary - that's all.

1. In my opinion, one of the Compass School of Feng Shui: Flying Star is about trying to determine the main entrance door to a home. 2. Thus, "listen carefully" it is trying to determine WHICH is the frontage. A frontage need not necessary be the main door or one of the two main doors etc... 3. For example, four door MPV has FIVE doors: 4 car doors and 1 rear boot door. If a car can have FIVE doors, even if one wants to have more doors in a home, this is fine. But the question, here is not how many doors one can have but rather, if one is applying Compass School; where should the frontage-main door is. 4. Another concept is to avoid a straight path from the "main door"…

Further to what I had mentioned; these are some other considerations:- 1. In many instances; the colour of the exterior walls is dependent on external factors. 1.1. For example, in past forum messages; someone mentioned that his/her home is next to a cemetry. 1.2. In such a situation; often, a geomancer would recommend RED colour as the most yang colour on the walls facing the cemetry. Some cleverly use "natural" red brick walls that never need to be painted over. 2. Thus the above is a sterling example of the colour of the exterior of the wall has to be looked at in relation to the surrounding. 3. Myths:- 3.1. In the 1960s to 1980's and even today; some geomancers unfor…

Dear Anon, 1. As the saying goes Many roads lead to Rome. 2. Similarly there are different methods of taking compass directions. If followed closely will come to the same results. For those who know how to use the Luo Pan to take readings, then that is fine i.e. learned from a proper source. 3. I always believe that one must follow a method `totally'. It is best to avoid `reading' between the lines i.e. hear of one method, read it half-way and continue with another method. 4. The method proposed in this site is listed under: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htm The above method is soley based on using an ordinary compass. Let's not mix an apple and an orange and c…

Dear SL, Further to what I wrote earlier, looking at `Qi' at the main entrance area and whether to place the reception counter at the centre; right or left wall is an interesting subject. In my opinion, a good Shapes and Form FS expert, would need to visit the site and through feel, could provide the appropriate advice on the above. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Donna, I try not to be "pessimistic" because one of the most important Feng Shui criteria is that a house should ideally suit the breadwinner. The "more serious" case of a clash (i.e. a person not matching a house is) when the `death' or `disaster' intangible flows thru the main entrance door. The current known `cure' based on available information under the Eight House Theory is to keep the main entrance area bright and avoid leaving the main entrance door open unless in use. If you are still living in this home, (Not compulsory) but good to do a Pillars of destiny analysis to find your true element and it's strenght and a Flying star birth chart but this would grea…

In my opinon, One North has a typical layout plan. One good thing is that there are only one or two blocks that has a pointed edge or corner aimed towards another neighbouring block. There are also diverse number of facing directions of the various blocks. Here, one of which is that you could identify whether you (the major breadwinner or often even today;we consider the male breadwinner) are an East or West Group person. If you want to do more research, you can even key in or type in a simple term like " By ranking " using the top left most search field in this forum.

1. It is good that the storm drain is fully covered; this is a plus point. 2. If u can draw a sketch of the plots + outline of your home in relation to the front door: so that one can have a better understanding. 3. The frontage may or may not be "west". Could be? 4. In my opinion; usually if one face problems (if any) is due most likely to have 3 or more MAJOR "leaks". 5. Thus there are some (East group) who still can stay in a "west" home without any issues.

Dear Amy, Amy Belisle wrote: Do the secrets of the Five Ghost exist? What is it? Is there any posted information on the subject? I would like to learn more. Are you referring to the Five Ghost carry wealth technique? If so, please do a forum search for "five ghost". There were a few posts about it. Remember, the forum contains over 8 years of postings, so it has wealth of information. So the search feature is your very powerful tool! Hope that help. Further to what I had mentioned, I am always sentimental to such issues because, many already face hard-ship. And does these people have the conscience to further "plunder" these poor people? Do you want to drive them into further desperation? Since it is much more easier to "push" these products to them then anyone else! Even her "15 eye Dzi bead" cannot help, you still consider a lower number of eye Dzi bead... Surely.. my toes are laughing all the way... for those buying such rubbish! Pure and simple, rubbish!

Dear Judy, Generally, in order to fully know where you should be activating the water position in the home, it is best to use tools like flying star analysis to conduct a full audit so that you can find where are the current and future auspicious stars where it will benefit from having a water feature. So please note here that any advice provided here is based on general shapes and form concepts without considering other factors. 1. Ideally, any water feature should be located at the frontage of the house where possible. This is because whatever your frontage is that should be the clear space where under the Four Symbolic animals, it is the pheonix sector where the bi…

Dear Peck Wun, Frankly, once, the renovation has been completed, there is not much one can do here. Overall, we have to look at the main concern: 1. water position facing the stove or 2. toilet bowl also facing the stove Under your current situation, although it is not ideal, as mentioned, unless one relocates the stove, there is no much else one can do. Close the toilet door. In my opinion, your threat, is not as critical as shown under Para 1. or 2. Any other proposed `cure' is similar to taking a sugar coated pill. "Comforting but no effect." Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, This conversion is necessary only if you have downloaded the free software for your own desktop. The free software can calculate the kua, but I did not include my copyright software into this free software. As it was provided to everyone as I had created the software for fun:) However, if you are referring to the online reports provided by the My FengShui, every report has been automatically converted to Lunar Calendar before any analysis is done. Every Report you generate from our online services, provides one with proper conversion to the Lunar Date of Birth, which is used for all relevant calculations. Dear Anon, 1. Usually, the advise is not to use too many crystal balls. This case was because, this person used trial and error Feng Shui and would place a cluster e.g. more than 5 or 6 crystal balls at a particular location. It happened that he placed the crystal ball at a location, nothing happened and he placed more at the particular location. Therefore, there is a difference between using one crystal ball and over indulgence using so many crystal balls. We have to clearly understand the distinction between the two. I am thus concerned if one `over indulge' or `over eats' in such a situation. 2. At another location, he bought a water fountain and pla…

These are some considerations:- 1. The Key success factor is First Choice: based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. And critically, for a bedroom, one has to visualise how qi flow and where is the dead qi of a bedroom. 1.1. For example; please see attachment. The areas marked in RED are considered as Dead Qi area. Where assuming that without turning on the air-con to circulate in bedrooms: Master Bedroom, Bedroom 2 and or Bedroom 3; these areas highlighted in RED is not favourable for the bed-head to be placed close to such areas. 1.2. Such areas are ideally locations for wardrope. Unless as mentioned under Para 1.1. if an air-con is turned on all the time; then there …

Dear Anon, For practical reasons, if one must shift house during herpregnancy, it is best that:- 1. she must not see the masterbed moved over to thenew home at all. 2. one possibility isbuy a new master bedroom bed. In particular, for the masterbedroom bed, she should not (must not) see it moved or participate in the moving of the bed. If possible, on the safe side, she should not participate at all in the move while pregnant. Only after the shift has been completed and the master bed is firmly in place, then she can "move-in" or come into the new home. Once this is done, don't move the bed at all. Only after baby's 1 month. You should also read up on some other p…

Dear CY Ang, CY Ang wrote: From my life gua of 5, my "Jue Ming" direction is North. My new HDB flat sits North faces South with themain door in the North-East Sector. The main door faces North. Read that the main door should not befacing one's "Jue Ming" direction. I can't change the main door direction, what else can I do? Thanks Generally, that is why finding a house that is suitable is important before you even buy the house. Once you have bought it, it will not be possible to change it. So you can only try to fix up any existing leaks in the house, fix andmaximise yourflying star house luck, andimprove your own ba zi luck by having more of your favourable eleme…

1. Frankly, I would personally keep to SW. For three reasons:- a. #1 is the coming prosperity star as you had mentioned, thus SW is still a better overall choice. b. Current 20 year water wealth resides. c. SW happens to be the very auspicious indirect water wealth spirit location under Period 8. Thus a big water position, here is good.

1. Frankly, one should not be too unduly concerned about bunk beds, for the following reasons:- 1.1 If we sleep under a bunk bed, one will notice that it is a a large flat piece above us - usually spring and mattress. 1.2 Compare this to a real beam. A real beam is a concentrated piece, usually a supporting beam for a column or structure of a home. It is this concentred beam (usually concrete mixture with supporting steel structure) OR it could be a large wooden beam. 2. For those constantly seating or sleeping under Para 1.2 , should be concerned with. 3. Bunk beds have been around for many (many) years. And as you have mentioned Hong Kong and even in Singapore, tho…

1. In general, Flying star is about the "birth-chart" of your home. 2. Like everyone that has a birthday, the home is suppose also to have a birthday. Anonymous wrote: my secodn question is that in 2009 NW is good. But acc to my Kua number it is not a good direction for me. My kitchen is in NW. So what shoudl i do ? do i still need to activitate it or not? 3. For Flying Star(s) if a good sector is good, it depends on whether it is feasible or not to "activate" the good direction as you had mentioned above 2009 NW is good. 4. Thus activating a sector based on Flying star is distinct from your personal Gua (kua number). Anonymous wrote: I am confused about personal gu…

These are some of the considerations:- 1. Both use the lowest common denominator: Yin and Yang with The Five Elements concept. 2. Ba zi and Zi Wei Dou Shu can be as general or can be as detailed: thus sometimes; even no two ba zi analysis could beconsidered as equal. 2.1. For example, ba zi can be as detailed as possible: with as many variables in it: Year , Month, Day, Hour and for the living two more pillars : House of Life and House of Conception. (Each variable has two other variables: Heavenly stem and Earthly branches). 3. In my opinion, one should instead, firstly note what is the difference between A's analysis of Zi Wei Dou Shu vs B's, C's or D's! And what is the…

1. Especially these few months, don't be surprised with more flooding and tree uprooting! 2. You never know! Even your neighbour's partition could (may) come crashing down due to the heavy monsoon winds! 3. If the winds can bring down the partition once, most likely it can bring it down twice or thrice! If so, I strongly believe the neighbours would give up having such a partition! Pray Hard.. it may just come true! WARNING: ABOUT THIS CARICATURE:IF SUCH A THING REALLY OCCUR; IT IS PURELY CO-INCIDENTAL AND WE ARE NOT LIABLE AT ALL FOR IT.
