These are some considerations: 1. Usually, rarely if any one looks at good dates especially for Hospital appointments. 2. One major consolation, thou is that overall the 15 days of Chinese New Year is considered as auspicious for the Chinese. 3. More crucial occassions are auspicious dates for weddings, moving in...

Dear Anon, As Robert has mentioned, Chinese Lunar New Year does not always fall on the 4th or the 5th. One good way to find out the dates is to go to this URL: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/90-2010.htm Under the above URL, you can check the `Start' date of the Chinese Lunar New Year from 1990 to the year 2011. You will see that it does not always fall on 4th or 5th. Warmest Regards, Cecil

I have observed all good Shapes and Forms of Feng Shui in my bedroom (including the position of my bed) which is located in the East-Northeast sector of the house. I am a number 4 Qua. I have the opportunity of place my bed so my head would be "facing" either the North, East or South direction which are three of my best directions. I am worried since according to Flaying Star Feng Shui there is conflicts in this areas in the Year of the Horse. Does this affect the direction of my head when I sleep? Which would be the best direction of my head since I am waiting for big changes in my life, in my work and with help of authorities in my field of work granting awards and pai…

This is a recent reply to the same type of question that you had just posted:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=4&mid=23630&new= 1. We have to differentiate between Yin Feng Shui and Yang Feng Shui. 2. Yin Feng Shui can be known as Feng Shui for the dead. Yang Feng Shui is Feng Shui for the living. 3. The Eight House can be applied to both Yin and Yang Feng Shui. 4. Usually in a Yin Feng Shui environment, the person is dead, immovable object. Thus, it would be good to have the person within the good sector to "defend" against external factors. Thus, it is good to have the person absorb good qi as what you have mentioned. 5. Under…

1. For the Chinese "ancient" coins:- Under the five elements concept: one notice that it has a square hole in the middle. The square hole represents earth. Thus, Earth (square hole) supports Metal (copper coin). And the red string (or some red) is suppose to "bind" or "control" the entire coin. 2. Hulu tied with red string:- In my opinion, no precedence other than RED being considered as an auspicious colour (color) for the Chinese. And many decorate it with RED. Not only the hulu but many trinkets or decorative items also often tied with red string. For example, the Chinese Palace Lanterns. Each of it's legs are decorated with red strings (tassles). No specific reas…

Further to what I had mentioned: 1. Applying Flying Star Feng Shui, today is like: 1.1. Buying a car that goes from A to B andhas standard air-bag for the front two passengers, ABS, DCS etc..And maybe euro ncap 4 stars rating... to maybe 5 stars rating... 2. But applying Annual Flying Stars Feng Shui (OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES ARE NOT COMPULSORY) depends on how thorough it is and is like: 2.1. Car comes standard with euro ncap 5 stars rating and also:- 2.2. Additional air-bags for the driver's knees; and side pillar air-bags 2.3. radar systemthat detects that there is aneminent collision.. and car auto apply brakes... 2.4. In addition, depending on how thorough one applies annu…

hi, My toilet is located in the east and the toilet door is facing my dining area..I have a small hallway/walkway between the toilet door and my dining area, which lead to the kitchen. My dining table is not in view of the toilet, dining table is facing my kitchen island table which is located in the east( next to the toilet).I have read somewhere that we can put a door curtain( is the curtain required to be from top to bottom or half curtain alright), plants ( any kind?does it have to be as tall as the door?)and a screen/room divider between the toilet door and dining area. Was wondering if the screen/room divider are required to be solid screen( solid wood/plastic …

Dear Vivi, 1. My earlier comments are very general. 2. In my opinion, the statement has to do more with my personal preference. 3. Actually, black represents the water element. (Water element is either blue, black or grey). 4. In general, since water element does not increase or aid bad earth sickness elements. As compared to yellow or fire element. Especially yellow / beige. Particularly for houses under Period 7. And bedrooms are especially in the EAST. And in some layouts, South is equally inauspicious. 5. In my entire life, I have never used black pillows, therefore, have not considered using it in the future. Personally, I do not mind driving a black car, but, not us…

1. In my opinion, there are other considerations. 2. For example, in this Sample Male person's chart, under "Your Ten Deities & Key Characteristics" Authority (zheng guan) = 4 3. Here, one considerationis that one can compare each partner's Authority (zheng guan). 4. For example, if his partner (wife's) Authority is higherthan his; then in Singapore context we can say that his wife will dominate him: 5. And in such a situation, his wife can be considered as " The Minister of Finance and Defence at home".Andthe man? His position in the home is akin to a "Minister without portfolio". 6. There are lots more that ba zi can derive information between the t…

Frankly, if you are so interested especially in Flying Star numbers, please go and take up a course on it. Katrina L. wrote: Cecil, What does each base star number represent? I only know that base star number 1 represents water. How about the other base star numbers? What is the significance of each base star? How does it affect each sector of the house? Is it less important than the mountain star number and water star number? I know these are a lot of Qs again. Hope you can further explain to me. Thanks much.

Sorry, can you clarify your message. For example, do you mean that your main door has say two panels. Some homes have 1 big door panel with a smaller side panel = 1 door and side panel. This panel is normally not opened all the time. If you have two equal doors, usually one door is not opened. If you have 1 big door panel with a smaller side panel, so long as the lamp post hits this smaller panel, (i.e. this smaller panel faces the lamp post directly) and your main door is "saved" from attack from the lamp post, then, this is fine or OK. As mentioned earlier, I had already listed most of the other common "cures" for the main door.

1. In my opinion, based on eye-ball method, the toilet is not a the centrepoint of the apartment. 2. If the main door is closed most of the time, (yes) it looks like this is not the mouth of the apartment. (Most probably it is as you had mentioned "NW"). 3. All streetdirectories even electronic ones such as from http://onemap.sg has the North marking stated on the bottom left frame or rather 0 degrees is alaways on the top. If one ones one's apartment in relation to the block plan, one can easily accurately determine the exact compass bearing with a protractor.

Dear Joe, Although colours are of `secondary' importance in Feng Shui, from my own opinion, in the past, I `brushed' aside the notion of wearing colours that suits us. But looking back, I really find no harm in chosing clothes that suit a person. Like the saying goes " no harm playing it safe ". When I next shop for clothings, I will continue to buy shirts and trousers that suit me. In fact so far, my favourite colours since young turned out to be the colour that suits me. I personally believe that as white stands for the Metal element, it can also be considered a neutral colour. Therefore, for a person of Strong Metal element, in my opinion may continue to wear white or …

1. The Industry: telecomunications is considered as the water element. 2. Finance Manager is suppose to be considered as a metal element. 3. If one is a strong earth person; this is considered as a suitable career especially if one can't find a career related to both Wealth and Power and Authortiy. Reference: http://talk.geomancy.net where Metal (helps) to balance or draw out excessive (strong) earth element.

These are some considerations: 1. Water is not necessarily a bad thing if it is permanent as opposed to seasonal. 2. How the home is built and facing would determine whether it has good, bad or neutral Feng Shui. Reference: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=29&mid=11355&new= 3. The major concern is the effects of global warming and the irratic weather behaviour. Hopefully this does not translate to extreme flooding on the property especially if the creek overfills.

Dear Master Lee, Thank you again for your unending advice... I would like to thank you for the clarification regarding my house period. Now i'll be able to analyze thecharted numbers in every sector of my house. My house (as you have clarified) is in period 7 andsits on N2 and faces S2 172.5degress to 187.5degress. In NW sector is 6m, 8w, 4t and 9a. base onwhat i've readthe 8w is wealth number and it is the current/rulingnumber. Withthe numbers combination my analysis is this:6metal is the mountain and 8earth is the water. 4wood is the time and9fire is the annual. The 8w is being weaken by the 6m star. The inaspicious 4t star also burdens the 8w star whichmay cause inju…

Dear John, Where best avoid purchasing a house with the lift well. This is not good especially it is so close to your main door. The thickness of the wall will also affect the influence. A brief look at the combination effects of the elements looks ok as the elements seems to contain the inauspicious effects. For a more detailed analysis, you can refer to the Flying Star module. If your have auspicious stars such as double 77, it is best if it is found in the main door otherwise the next best alternative is your bedroom or some place where you commonly use. H However, if it is not found in at the main door then, you will not be able take advantage of the add…

Dear Viviana, Hope you can elaborate what you mean by "carrier zone." Are you refering to " Career ". Presently, there is no known effective cures for a staircase at the centre of the house. You may consider:- 1. One or two potted plants at the ground level. 2. This is optional and you may need to monitor but one can place a mirror a the staircase landing. (This is a traditional `cure'). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Rachel, Rachel Rachel wrote: The colours of the numbers are only red, black or blue. There's no green, so does a black number symbolise auspicious, inauspicious or average??? I'm assuming that red symbolises inauspicious and blue represents auspicious. Please tell me if I'm right! Thanks! Black is considered average in this particular case. I only colour coded the Blue and Red for the star number. Red = Inauspicious, Blue = Auspicious, Black = Average. Hope that helps. Dear Helen, Sorry for the delay in response. You can use `metal' element to counteract the timber as metal destroys wood. You can place e.g. metal tin `circular' metal tin foil on each beam:- 1. Stick 6 metal tin foils or 6 coins on each timber piece. The coins can be any coins e.g. diameter can be 2.5 cm or more. Chinese " ancient " coins (those with square holes in the centre are equally acceptable. If you use the " ancient " coins you can string them with red string and stick them on each beam. 2. What is the purpose? 6 coins represents Big Metal and is used to counter wooden beams. Under the 5 elements concept, Metal destroys Wood. Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

Dear Wasis, Would it be possible for you to upload a .gif or .jpg or .bmp file for a clearer understanding of your situation. Usually, you should leave out the main gate as this should not be considered the main entrance. For the main entrance, for many homes, there are usually two doors to the main entrance or distinctly, in many instances, the main entrance door can be seen from the frontage of the house. Or when we drive-in to the house, we could see the main entrance door. Alternatively, it should be the `largest' door in the home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cecil: (Please let me know if it is disrespectful to call you by your first name. I saw someone refer to you in his letter as Feng Shui Master. Would you prefer that?) Thanks again for answering my question, and with that in mind I have another question as to the cure. Since I am not partial to the look of wind chimes in the home,I was wondering if the bell chimes would be as effective? I found a really beautiful onebut I don't wanttowaste my money on something that won't work.My thinking was, if I am to use metal as a cure then it would be my choice. I look forward to hearing form you again. Be well. Lisa
