Dear Glyn, Thanks for bring up this subject. First of all, for the benefit of those who do not know what is the " Deadly five yellows ", I will give a brief sumarry of the points relating to it although it has been covered earlier on in this forum. (For those who want to read earlier messages can try to use the " Search " feature once you logged into www.geomancy-forum.com Perhaps search for " Five yellow ". 1. Feng Shui `revolves' around the Five Elements Concept. Here, the Five Elements is represented by either a name or a number or a colour or a combination of them. For example, lets look at the element " Earth ". Under the Five Elements Concept, Earth is one of the …

Hi, Please read below:- Normally the best way is to put a partition, if not, I think you should just leave it. Although there are books that say that either putting a bagua should help to reflect it, I feel that a partition is better otherwise you are better off leaving it alone. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Cecil, If the direction of the house is determined by the location of the front door, does it matter if the front door is not the entrance that you use? For example, if you mostly use the back entrance. Cheui May

Dear Anon, A temporary solution is to cut down the stump to the foot level. A permanent solution is to dig out the tree plus the roots cleanly. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Casanova W. wrote: Any idea why Resorts World sentosa will be open on 14 Feb 2010 at 12.18pm. Was it really a auspicious hour or just because of Cantonese saying "striking prosperity" which would bring good luck. Yes, you are absolutely correct! It has to do with the phonetic sound like "Cantonese word". Usually .18 or even .19 or .38 or 39 is chosen after the suitable time of the"Boss" has been choosen. For example; his best time on that day is between 11am to 1pm. For first-time open door procedure(s); usually .38 or .39 is preferred. As 3 in mandarin means UP and "mountain". And the "8" prosperity and "9" mandarin for longevity. Many in Singapore bid for either lo…

Dear Ann, Ann Loo wrote: Would like your advice on whether to base the kua number on birth gender + Identity card gender or to base on the prefered gender as the person thinks, behaves and has undergone partial surgery to the prefered gender? Please help as the kua numbers are total opposite for the 2 genders of the same date of birth. Thank you To be frankly, such question can be controversial depending on how you look at it. Personally, for megiven that all the feng shui concepts such as ba zi/eight house is to chart like your luck and suitability. The information is based assessed based on the gender, date and time of birth from when you are born. So I would have to…

Please note that it does not make sense IF:- 1. If a person is a Strong Water person and thinks that whenever that person walks around he/she is a tidal wave or tsunami of water. Or carrying lots of water. 2. In addition, it is also fool-hardy to think that a Strong Water person must not or rather refrain from drinking water. 3. This is real life. And not some animated cartoon or Fantastic Four. Where one is a Stone man, one is an ice man or one is a walking flame.......

Dear Cah, 1. The main concern here is that #9 is a fire element. Or some call it the purple star. Where purple is also the colour of fire element. 2. In many previous messages regarding Flying Star; especially taking into consideration the 20 Year Flying star : where there are three variables: Mountain# ; Water# and Base# 2.1 Again, we must look at all these three variables in order to see whether #9 as a Water star "can be enhanced or not". 2.2 Under Period 8, even for comparing just the Mountain# with Water#; there are lots of instances where there are MS#5 with WS#9 and worse many sectors have Base#2 or #5. In this case, unfortunately, insteadof enhancing #9.. one …

The best water feature in the world is almost virtually impossible to obtain. What is it? A water fall. Where water continuously friction with the air to create negative ions. The next best thing is the "bright hall" effect. Where a water position such as a pool would mean that nothing else can be built on top of this pool of water = clear space. The next, next best thing is to stand at e.g. the balcony or living room window and look out towards clear space or virtual water....

Dear Anon, Perhaps, this could be a coincidence. Note: this is not Feng Shui, but is quite common activity for some Chinese that are truly down on their luck:- However, for the Chinese, some would prior to taking a bath:- 1. purchase a few limes. Cut the limes into 4 quarters. 2. purchased assorted flowers. get ready the above and place them in a small basin of luke warm water After bathing, just pour this water with lime/flowers over our head . Next, dry ourselves with bath rope. And collect the items and throw them away. Often, avoid going into the toilet for the next 2 hours or so. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Robert Quote: Son - weak water - Wood house not too favourable as it weakens him. Anonymous wrote: Is it alright if my son's bedroom is in the SW sector of the house? Under the bazi and direction suitability, South-West is considered Earth direction which is wealth to a water person. If your son isStrong Water person, he will most definately benefit from it. However, since your son is a weak water, he will need more Metal and Water to strengthen his weak water before he can benefit from the wealth sector. Of course, you should check out whether the Eight House direction is suitable or not, as long as that is also not death or disaster. Should be acceptable. …

1. More importantly, it is best that your stove in the kitchen has been set up and ready to be used on the first day of move-in. 2. The common procedures for the Chinese (Move-in) procedure can be found under this link:- info.geomancy.net Quote: Can i buy a gas tong before move into new house? Where is the wealth position located? Please advise. 1. Generally, it is acceptable to buy a gas tong. Often as mentioned above, it is best to use the primary stove i.e. mounted in the kitchen. 2. There are many different types of wealth position. Under Flying star, try to check where is your mountain star #8 and water star #8. These are suppose to be your current wealth locat…

These are additional considerations:- 1. Earth luck is strongest on the ground. Thus for a landed property, the sitting and facing direction is much easier to get correct: unless the land is complicated by e.g. the back of the home faces a beautiful lake etc... 2. But if your "potential house" is really not a landed property but a so called high rise; What makes one think that you can get the facing direction 100 percent correct? Even amongst geomancers; can't agree with the sitting and facing direction. 3. As mentioned under Para 2; G.I.G.O. If one feels that facing direction is West but instead the real facing direction is another facing direction.... 4. Facing west si…

Dear Richard, Please see below:- In authentic heaven and earth luck assessment, here are the main considerations: 1. It would be a disadvantage for a weak fire or strong water person especially the breadwinner to have a water position inside his / her home. 2. In authentic Feng Shui; the true `meaning' or the closest to a wealth corner for a water position is thru the application of Flying Star Feng Shui. For example, locations that have #6 or #7 and if the condition - is applicable; can exist with water position. Often, and depending on the Managing Agents or later, the MCST; such areas are common property. And, some condos have strict rules on placing anything a…

Dear Subhas, In my opinion: 1. Although the plot of land is wide at the front and narrows to the back, check that the house does not have an odd shape. Preferably the house should be rectangular in shape. The rest could be the garden area. And proper landscaping can help to reduce the profile of the wide (front) and narrow back. 2. It would not be auspicious if the house where it sits on the land is downward sloping. The entire house should be on level ground. However, the back can be downward sloping. Where possible, proper drainage and if the house is on a hill, it depends on the construction or proper construction such as sinking of the piles and steps taken to preven…

Dear Jo, Frankly, currently I do not see any `harm' in installing a wall uplight next to the painting based on `intuitive' Feng Shui. However, normally again this should not be a problem other than if you have done a Flying Star chart and found that the sector is unfavourable or where `fire element' can do damage to that sector. Other than this consideration, it is acceptable to have the uplight. Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Thursday, May 06, 1999 8:42 PM Subject: Is it OK to have a carp painting and a wall uplight beside eac h In my opinion, it would not be necessary …

Hi Bob, 1. There are two views regarding the porch: - It should not be included with the house. - Some other practioners are unclear as to include it or not and `play' safe by including it as part of the home. 2. In my opinion, you should not include the porch to the house. If you do not include it as part of the house and find that there is no longer an indent, then it is fine. 3. Frankly, so far there are few practioners who uses such a technique i.e. placing a Ba Gua at the indent to offset the missing corner. In my opinion, it is ineffective to use a Ba Gua mirror to offset the indent i.e. it will not work. One way to offset the indent is through landscaping if this i…

Dear Hoa Luong, Thanks for your many clarifications. Yes, overall, red is considered an auspicious colour. From your information, I personally feel that it is OK for you to continue with the red painted frontage doors of your convenience store. And this should not have any adverse contrast with the `water' grey colour. Overall, red is indeed an auspicious colour for business. In particular, for example, if it has brass ornaments on it (not compulsory thou). Warmest Regards, Cecil
