  1. Dear Kennth Chong, Kenneth Chong wrote: In 2006, Tai Sui resides in the NW direction. Is it alright to sit at my working desk facing SE (in order to get support from NW)even if SE is my bad direction? My Kua no. is 6. Generally, the most important thing is avoid having any major renovations to disturb the tai sui. Which in this case avoid having any major renovations in NW direction. As for the sitting and having the tai sui behind you, this is more for any major events or key things in your life. So as to get the Tai Sui behind you to back you up. Otherwise, for normal day to day activities, frankly, as long as you do not do any major renovations, then it is still ok to facing one of your better directions based on your eight house. 2. Dear Olivia, Olivia Kim wrote: Would you kindly answer the following question: If one places the necessary cures/enhancements for the year based on the compass direction for the whole house, is it better to also place those cures and enhancements in each of the rooms as well (except for the kitchen and bathroom)? Happy New Year to you too! Generally, 1 cure per direction is usually enough. Most of the time we try to determine which sector covers most of the room, and then apply the cure for that direction to cover the entire range of the sector influence. Since most of the time if you apply feng shui using colour scheme of the room, then there is usually very little need for any item/product cures. Too much of such products and items does not make the house look as nice as a cleaner house with the right colour scheme that help balance up each sector. So most of the time you only only put in such additional cures if the sector really needs it. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  3. Dear Hoa Luong, Hoa Luong wrote: Under P7, stars 6 and 1 are considered "average stars", but under P8, they are "auspicious stars". This is very confusing!, why is there such difference? Please explain. The 9 stars have different luck period depending on the period they are in. For example, Period 7, star 7 is good, but for other period it is a robbery star. It is a fading prosperity when it enters in to period 8 but revert to it's robbery star. So other stars will also be changed according to the interaction with the period. ie period 8, star 1 is the future future prosperity so the star is considered auspicious. Hope that helps. The one thing that comes to my mind here is that tarot is another form of divinity nothing related to Chinese Feng Shui. The closest I can think of a Chinese divinity is the I-Ching or oracle. So since tarot is not really feng shui I do not see how you can use tarot directly or indirectly in feng shui. Feng Shui uses mainly ba zi, eight house, flying star and external shapes anf form. Even I-Ching is not really used because that is more divinity rather than feng shui. So don't see any relationship between the two at least not in the feng shui aspect at this point. Hope that helps. I have no problem with the fertility of my fish. I have a problem selling them and bringing money into the house. Can feng shui help my business survive? Frankly, I think feng shui may not help you directly here. Firstly, based on an aquarium business, if you only cater to neighbourhood sales, then unless people know about your business, no one may buy from you. If your target market is export or wholesale, then you might have problem competiting with other bigger aquarium business who have large aquarium scale operations. So probably, you need to focus on looking at your business model, it who are you targetting and who are your clients and work on improving that. I really don't think that feng shui can help you a great deal here. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

  7. Dear Carla, CARLA MILLER wrote: I have found several homes that I really like but the Feng Shui for the house number is incompatible to me. Is there anyway the negative chi of a house number can be reversed (like adding a letter A or B) in order to be more positive for the owner? House Number has least overall impact over the house compared to the external shapes and form and interior feng shui. There are many ways to view the house number analysis. ie some people dislike house number with number 4, however, there are some people who don't mind the number 4. Therefore, a house number doesn't have the most impact over the house. You can add A or B to which is equal to A=1 or B=2 to change the house number. This is ok as long as you have the ability to chang ethe house number. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Like to ask if people said in a certain year they are not supposed to attend white or red matters ie. funeral and/or wedding. How do we know when or whether we can or cannot get involved in such occasions. What will happen if one attends when one is not supposed to? If my bazi chart shows forcast that a certain day is very inauspicious, will attending wedding which is a happy event, helps to turn the inauspiciousness around? Thanking you in advance Paris Generally, if the current year that clashes with your birth year or that the curren year has a major harm with your birth year. These are usually the two types of indication that will not be good for you if your attend wedding or funerals.Anyway, this is more towards the chinese tradition and beliefs. For very very traditional family, they will avoid it like a plague. But for modern family, most do not really bother as much. So really depends on how strongly you believe. Generally, a forecast of each day, is further subjected to like whether the month is auspicious or the year is auspicious or not. So inauspicious day many still be ok if the month is auspicious. However, if the year is bad, the month is bad, and the day is bad then it is considered the worst day in the year for you. The way to improve your luck is always to ensure that you have as much favourable element to boost up your own luck. As long as you continue to have more of your favourable elements, it will reduce all these inauspicious period. It will probably not completely remove the inauspicious impact, but it can certainly minimise the impact it has over you. Hope that helps. Since the stove is an important place, you do not want the stove energy to be clash with the fridge. So a mirror there will make the stove seem like that is fire at the fridge so will no longer clash with the fridge weakening the wealth. In September 2004, I changed the flooring tiles of my one room ( only one room ). There was no other changes made in the house. Does this renovation make my home a period8 home? Please advice as Iam not enjoying goodtime since the beginning of period 8. My house is almost rectangular with main door facing Northeast but it is situated in the North corner of the house. This is quite similiar to another post I just replied. Usually the changing of floor tiles often is considered major renovation even if it is limited to one room only. So it is quite likely that your house luck have crossed over to a period 8 house luck. So there might besome unbalanced sectors where there might be star 2 / 5 (illness/misfortune stars) that is active and uncontrolled. Another possibility is whether this room is it located in South-West sector? If it is, you might have disturbed the Grand Duke which is another possible explanation. Last but not least, sometimes your own individual luck may have also changed to another luck period which is less favourable.Make use of some of our free tools ie the free flying star chart and ba zi analysis. Check the luck of the house in period 8 and ba zi luck see which one is likely to be the issue. Anyway, based on what you have provided, the house like has probably changed to a period 8 chart. So look out for the star 2/5 location and balance that sector. I also suspect you check your individual luck as it might also have entered into a less auspicious year etc. Hope that helps. The previouse owners remodeled the kitchen in 2004 and I have painted the interior, replaced the bathroom vanities and re-tiled the floors, replaced one of the showers stalls, and re-carpetedthe whole house. But still, I have not been well since I have been here. My question is this: does the work I have done constitute a re-model and doesn't the re-modelyearsupercede the year built? Thank you in advance for your help. As the house is in period 6 (1964-1983), and with the work you have done, it is very likely that you have already changed the luck to probably 2004 (if you done it after the chinese new year). Usually, for such older house, any major work can easily change the luck over. This is because the luck of the house is already fading, thus any disturbance to the house will easily push it to the new period. So there are two possibilities. 1. The luck of the house has changed and there are some unbalanced sectors where there might be star 2 / 5 (illness/misfortune stars) that is active and uncontrolled. 2. As well, as not sure if you had accidentially offended the Grand Duke or Tai Sui in the year 2004 which should be in the South-West sector of the house. If any, you should determine what is the new flying star of the chart of the house in period 8 and then balance up all the inauspicious sector. ur website has the free flying star chart in the member area for you to check. 14. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: If my Kua number is 4 and basically a wood person, my four pillars indicated me as a yin wood. Can excessive metal that is put to control No 5 star ( Wu Huang) harm me indirectly too? Can bright lamp shade in the bedroom hurt me too? Are you are weak wood or strong wood person? the yin wood does not make you are weak wood. Please check whether you are a weak or strong wood using our free tool at this url:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm If you are a weak wood, metal in general will weaken you further. However, if you are a Strong wood, then metal in general will actually help you control your excess Wood. Applying cures or balances to the flying star is intended to balance up the sector for the entire sector irregardless of the element of the person(s) staying or using that sector. So this must always be in place to harmonise the sector before you work to even enhancing yourself. The best way to harmonise the room is always by the choice of colour scheme in the room. Thus, painting the house in like White or off-white colour helps to automatically add Metal which can balance up the inauspicious star. After which, once you have the base room or colour in the element that neturalises the inauspicious star 2/5 (for example), then you can work to adding other colour scheme favourable to your ba zi to enhance it. As long as you do it moderately as I mentioned above, really no issue about having too much metal. Ideally, a little of every element is needed for a person to be in perfect harmony (ie 20% of each element). So even for unfavourable element, a little won't really kill you, you just want to avoid having too much. Anyway, there are so many other areas such as your career, or colour of other personal belongings, house element etc. Other area favourable element will help offset this one issue so no need to really worry too much about only 1 area. Must always look at the general overview. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

If so, how can we correct this ? From your layout plan, it seems that because of the built up cabinet, there isn't much of a choice in terms of your bed position. So in terms of the shape and form placement, that would be the only 1 position to place it. If that is the case, then probably nothing much you can do even if you have to sleep in your bad position. What you can do to reduce this problem, is ensure that you choose a colour scheme that can fit both you and your spouse ba zi. (ie the element common to both persons.) This can help reduce some of the inauspicious of the bed position. In addition, you see which side of the bed for you and your fiance should be sleeping. Ideally, each of you should be sleeping closer to the side of the bed which is more favourable to your eight house sector. Then the other party can shield the bad influence for you. As I really do not know where is the North direction on the layout, very difficult for me to tell you who should sleep where. At this point, I am only able to recommend these. The rest will really depend on the house feng shui see what else is needed to be balance up so as to create a more harmonious environment for both of you. Hope that helps. I know I can notput a tree in front of the yard because it will block my main door, but should I put one anyway, but just away from the main door? Of course, if you can put a fence to help block the corner, that would be best. If not do what you can with the fence, and probably add a bagua mirror to deflect the Sha Qi back. 23. Dear Aileen, aileen tan wrote: After using the Free House number report provided at your website, i was rather affected by the results. Lost of Wealth, injuries which could lead to death. Is this report 100% accurate? Does the house number really affect the feng shui of the house and the life of its owner? Can seeing a geomancer help to ward off any bad luck pertaining from the number? Husband and I are really worried. The apartment number report is to help you determine whether a house number is auspicious or not. It bases on the flying star vertical analysis. ie it is said that an apartment located on different level will each have different luck. Thus, the main goal of that analysis is simply to show whether say unit 7 compare to say unit 8, which is better. This is useful when you are hunting for a house and found a layout you like but located on different level. Then this report can be used to determine which is better. As for the interpretation, this is taken from the 81 unique interaction between the flying star to help assess each sector of the house. It will hold true only in the flying star analysis where you can actually determine the mountain and water star. For a house number, the description does not really hold true. You only need to know that this unit number is considered inauspicious compared to say a higher or lower unit in your block with the same layout as you (ie 07-222 or 06-222 might have a better orworstluck then yours). So don't need to worry to much. Whether or not your house is good or bad depends more on your external and internal feng shui of the house and not the house number. So focus on correcting or harmonising the house. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  24. Dear Olivia, Olivia Kim wrote: Please help! I am moving into an apartment in which the stove is across from the sink. The front door and bedroom are in my favorable directions and I will also be sleeping with my head pointing in a good direction...but I'm worried about that the placement of my sink and stove will cause problems for me. Is it true that if I place something green in between them that it will help. What is your expert recommendation? Frankly, in our modern society due to land space being very precious, it is inevitable that houses tend to be build that are smaller and thus, not allowing you to have much options to place them as and where you want to. Like I always mentioned, you should always correct whatever flaws that you are able to in order to offset whatever that you are not able to correct. Yes, it might seem that a stove facing a sink is inauspicious due to Water and Fire clash, but were you are not able to move it to another location, it leaves very little other thing you can do to correct it. One way to reduce the clash, is simply to put a circular mirror magnet on the fridge door so that it will reflect the Qi and reduce the clash between the stove and sink. Anyway, though stove facing sink isn't ideal, however, it isn't the worst problem to have in a home. It would be even worst, if your home is unsuitable to you etc. One must always look at the overall picture, just like taking an exam. Is the clash between the sink and stove going to hurt your overall exam score? If it is, then it is a great problem. If it is only going to reduce a few points, it is not really going to matter as much compared to a major problem. The goal is to attain maximium score by fixing all possible leaks that is present, then work on the minor leaks. As long as all the major leaks are corrected or not present, even if there are one or two flaws remaining, that wil not cause you major problems. A major problem occurs when many factors are not in your favour. Anyway, this problem can be easily corrected or reduced by placing a small circular mirror on the fridge to reflect the stove image back. Hope that helps. 25. Dear Shawn, Shawn lim wrote: The lucky/unfavourable colours are mentioned in mostly primary colours - red, yellow, blue etc. Yes, this is because these colours are the key colours that make up the other secondary colours. Shawn lim wrote: Orange, pink (fire/earth), purple/plums, copper (reddish) and grey.I am a bit confused about the colourbrown. Some say it is earth colour while others say its wood. which is it? Frankly, for secondary colour, it is harder to define due to the fact that if the colour is lighter/darker the element can be different. Orange for example, if light orange more ie more towards like gold colour, it is made up of more Yellow (earth) than Red (Fire), so more likely Earth element or we call Earth with some Fire (ie Earth-Fire). If dark oranage more, it is made up of more Red (Fire) than Yellow (Earth) so more likely Fire element or we call Fire with some Earth (ie Fire-Earth). So same goes for the other colours you mentioned:- light purple = More blue than red (Water-Fire) dark purple = More red than blue (Fire-Water) copper (reddish) = Material is Metal, while if more dark reddish is Red, if more yellowish is Earth. light grey = Metal, dark gray = Water. So all depends on how dark or light the tone. Brown for example same thing. dark brown is Wood, light brown can be Earth. Shawn lim wrote: 2) can some colours be used to energise/activate lucky colours eg. Yes, colours is the best way to apply feng shui to enhance your individual luck or to balance up a unbalanced flying star sector. Shawn lim wrote: for a person needing earth elements can he add Red cushionsin a yellow room to further energise the earth element or wear a splash of red along with a yellow shirt. For colours, it is always best to have two or better still three colour tone. Two colour tone normally ie Metal-Water, Water-Wood, Wood-Fire, Fire-Earth, Earth-Metal. Three tone colour normally ie. Metal-Water-Wood, Water-Wood-Fire, Wood-Fire-Earth, Fire-Earth-Metal, Earth-Metal-Water etc. So as long as you do that it enhance and balance each other to create a harmonious flow. Hope that helps.
