  1. Dear Rick Chong, Rick Chong wrote: I check the 4 pillars and noted that i am a weak earth person. i have 2 earth, 3 metal & 1 hidden, 2 water, 1 wood and no fire. Born in sept month of autumn. Frankly, there is more than just the number of each element. The element strength of each element is also important ie. 2 Strongest Earth will be very much different from 2 Extremely weak Earth. So to know the exact percentage of each element, you need to assess the 4 pillars in detail before one can tell you exactly which element you need more or less. In addition, you need to consider all the combinations and clash that can alter your elements in your chart. However, based on a weak Earth, it generally mean that you lack Fire and Earth. So the more Fire and Earth you generally have, the better your overall luck. Exactly, whether you lack more Fire or more Earth or an equal amount of each, depends on the balance of the five element in your chart. For example, if you have only 2% Fire and 20% Earth, it means you lack more Fire and Earth. So more Fire is better for you. Rick Chong wrote: Please advise me how can i strenghten my self (earth)element, i.e. introducing fire feature element or earth elements. Things that i can wear or surround myself with it. Please use this talk notes that we have to see what elements is related to what colour, career, direction etc. URL: http://talk.geomancy.net So in generally, say you lack Fire (Red Colour / South facing house / Sales or Marking Career etc). The more of such elements in your favour, the better your overall luck. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

There are many resources and postings on the forum that most of the answers can be found if you just do an advanced search for Castle Gate Theory:- URL: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=9813 Basically, it is tilting a building (ideally) 45 degrees to the road or if this may not be possible; then, tilting the main door directions 45 degrees instead. As the word `Castle' suggests; it has also has water. Therefore in order for it work, water (not still water) is used here. Water at the frontage must be moving e.g. a fountain to activate the `castle' effect. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

It isan opportunity to work inanother area of Technology practice (They are both consultative selling in the technology arena but one is alittle more product oriented) within the same division. Is it wise for me to make a lateral move in job positionsright now or do you advise me not to make any changes whatsoever in my position? Since thenew annual stars don't take affectuntil Feb 3, does this make any difference? Technology is generally deemed as IT which is a mixed of both Metal/Water. If this is favourable to your ba zi element, then it is considered a favourable career for you. Whether it is the best to move from your existing job, depends on what is your current job's work scope if it is less favourable to your element, then a move will be beneficial. So far if just based on the information you provided ie August 13, 1967 (time not provided). This means you are a Strong Earth person assuming your time of birth does not affect your element. So Metal/Water are in general favourable. So this career is generally suitable for a Strong Earth. Olivia Kim wrote: My birthdate in solar date is August 13, 1967. I tried to find the information from the premium Ba Zi consultation you did for me but I couldn't find anything there that would help me with this question. Also, whatexactly is the definition of water element career? In the Ba Zi report, it was vague. I would really appreciate your help! Unfortunately, there are so many career's and each one is almost unique. So there is no possible way to have a comprehensive list of which career is exactly considered what element. If you had a paid analysis, you can e-mail us with more information to assist you to tell you whether a career is suitable or not. Usually, we need information like what is the industry and career. ie a career prospect in say Banking industry but dealing in like Stock Broker. This may mean it is Banking is Metal, but Stock is Fire element. However, if your job scope is like Teller, then element can be more Earth (people to people). So that is why there is it virtualy difficult to get specific. We only have general list of career as listed in this link:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  5. Dear Cindy, Anonymous wrote: Have generated the 2006 flying star report and need advice on the following: 1. HDB main door is sw225 with ms 4, bs 4ws 1 ys 9 Cure is metal ? Double star behind andDuplicate mountain star Basically, when it says the cure is Metal, you will try if possible to related to colour scheme ie Metal = White/Gold. In most bad stars, you will find that White is the most commonly used colour that can help balance bad Wood or Earth Star. That is why it is always best to choose light and off-white colours. This is a netural colour that helps to balance the room. Double star behind simply means that there is a double current prosperity star at the back of the house or opposite location of the house. ie say in a period 8 house (2003-2024), you have a double 8 for mountain or water star located opposite your main door. Ideally, if you have such stars for your actual main door or facing of the house, this house will be deemed very auspicious with both your water star (Zheng Cai) and moutain star (Pian Cai) located at the right direction. Always remember, that you need to get the housing facing right first. ie. Apartments (2nd-7th level), facing of house is taken from the main door facing direction. ie. Apartments (8th level and up), facing of the house is taken from the living room / balcony of the house. ie. Landed Property, facing of the house taken from the actual frontage of the house. Once you take that right, and if the double stars are located at your frontage, you will deemed to have an auspicious house. If it is located at the back of the house, then often you may not benefit as much from it. Duplicate mountain star, simply means that the Mountain Star and Base Star is the same in your case MS 4 and BS 4. Hence, you have this Duplicate Mountain Star. Generally, any duplicate Moutain / Water star, will normally means that a very good sector will be very good, while a bad sector will also mean it is very bad. ie if MS 5 and BS 5 it is very bad because of very strong Earth. You need to balance this sector as mentioned with Metal. If you cannot use colours, then the other alternative is maybe to use the 6 coins to help enhance the Metal influence in the sector to balance this sector of the house. Quote: 2. Can one sleep with feet or head facing TaiSui direction? Eg facing west when we sleep for 2005? Generally, Tai Sui is usually offended by any renovation works. As long as you avoid having renovation works in the Grand Duke direction. The rest of the issues will usually not affect the Tai Sui as much. Hope that helps. 6. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I just did a free Personal Ba Zi from your site which says I am a weak yin Water and itadvises me my favourable element color is white/gold/blue/black. It also says my unfavourable element color to avoid is green But other sites says that I am Kua 3 wood element, and my favourable element color is green. So which is my real element color. One is theelement from the four Pillars another is the element from my Kua No.3 - wood. Eight House (Kua) concept is derived from YEAR of birth only. While Ba Zi considers your date and even time of birth. Both concepts will have an element (ie Kua element and Ba Zi element). Ba Zi element will of course be more accurate since it considers the date and time of birth. So in terms of colour scheme we always use the ba zi element rather than Kua element. Eight House is more often used for the 4 good and 4 bad directions because even though it is very simple in just using YEAR of birth, it has proven time and time again to be extremely useful for choosing bed placement, house suitability or any concept that is for micro level type analysis. ie small area of analysis. Whereas, Ba Zi seems to be more suitable for more macro level analysis ie like if South (Fire) is favourable element for you, so staying in Southern part of Singapore is more favourable than say Northern part of Singapore. So in summary, both are two different theories. For colours, is is always better to follow the Ba Zi element, for directions especially for bed/study/work position you will apply the Eight House concepts. The Kua element is often not really useful in most cases when you have the more accurate Ba Zi element. Hope that helps. 7. Dear Levina, Levina Lim wrote: I have difficulties in finding whether I have a strong day master or a weak daymaster. I hope that you can analyse my bazi. This has been bothering me for ever since I started analysing my own chart. but till now, I am still unsure. I am born on the 30th June 1988 at 1320 hours. I would really appreciate any help I can get. If you used our free reports, it will assess whether you are a weak or strong. In your case, you are considered a strong fire. Since our reports are not crippled in any way, therefore it will be final result of your element sign. However, free report does not show you the details of how the information is tabluated or why it is so. Here is some information to show you why it is Strong. [1.] Levina, Female - 30 Jun 1988 at 1.00 p.m. to 2.59 p.m. Lunar Calender: 1988, 5th month, 17 day Birth Element: Strong Fire Likes: Earth (yellow), Water (blue/black/gray), Metal (white/gold) Dislikes: Wood (green/brown), Fire (red) 0 Weakest Water 5 Weak Wood 1 Strongest Fire 4 Strong Earth 2 Extremely Weak Metal 0% 39% 13% 42% 5% As you are born in the Fire day Heavenly Stem. If favourable elements such as Wood and Fire is more than unfavourable elements Metal and Water, then you are deemed Strong Fire. If unfavourable is more than favourable, then you are deemed weak Fire. Earth element is a double edge elementso cannot be considered in the initial stage of determining whether you are weak or strong. So since you have 39% Wood + 13% Fire (= 52%). While the element unfavourable for fire are5% Metal + 0% Water (=5%). So that is why you are a Strong Fire. Hope that helps. 8. Dear Gaylia, Gaylia Hunter wrote: I am very new at Feng Shui and am trying to incorporate itinto our home. We are four very different people living in the house so how do I incorporate the good positions, colours, etc.without creating bad for someone else. Generally, though there are 4 persons staying in the house, not all 4 persons will be using all the rooms at the same time. For example, bedroom maybe two person (for husband and wife) may share the same room. In such cases, you choose colours that will match for both persons staying in the room. ie say weak water, weak wood, Water element will be common. So for this bedroom you choose this as a common colour. Since the other member does not stay in this room, so you do need to worry about colours for to suit them. What is important is the colours to fit the people staying in the room. So same goes for the bed placement etc, each room will have different bed placement etc. Same goes for study table/work table etc. Each person can also have their own positions within their room/work space. So again as long as you apply them individually, there is really no problem applying feng shui for the entire family. For common rooms like living room etc. Choose more neutral colours like off-white / white colour, as these will be generally acceptable to all. Since the breadwinner is the key person in the house, most colour scheme for common room if possible try to choose colours that will not clash with the breadwinner or neutral colours. So apply the concepts systematically, and choose colour schemes/ best positions depending on who is using that room. The rest of the less important rooms, it really does not matter as long as they remain clutter free. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  9. Dear Alenac Chua, Alenac Chua wrote: I could not understand what you are getting at based on the compass reading of pointing to the centre of the main door in your column of how to read the compass of 15 degrees differential. Can you give us a simple example.tks Eight House divides the house into 8 sector so each sector is 45 degree. So North for example is 337.4 to 22.4 degree. Flying Star sub-divides the sector into 24 sectors, so each sector ie North (45 degree) is sub divided into 3 sub-sector (ie North 1 - 337.4-352.4, North 2 - 353.5-7.4, North 3 - 7.5-22.4). When applying either flying star or eight house, we divide the house into usually 8 sectors. For getting the flying star reading, you need to take the facing / main door of the house which requires the exact compass degree. For apartment (2nd-7th level), you take the main door facing direction. For apartment (8th level and up), you take the living room/balcony facing direction. For landed property, you take the facing of the house/building. The sub-division, is usually necessary only to know what type of flying star direction is the house considered, however, in practical application of the charts, you only need to divide into 8 sectors. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Also, it is extremely difficult to find a closed book shelf for purchase. What is the cure for a open book shelf. What color should the study room be painted? I am thinking of installing a crystal ceiling fixture is this okay! or should I use quartz? Generally, if you have a feng shui ruler every8 inch will fall under the auspicious dimensions ie 7-10 inch or 15-18 inch etc. Most table are generally of a standard size which normally falls under an auspicious dimension. So should not need to worry too much. As for book shelf, it is ok to have open book shelf. Just arrange the furniture in such a way that there is no unnecessary poition arrow from the corner of the furniture at the end of the book shelf. The individual shelf is less impact than the corner of the book shelf. So as long as you arrange in such a way it creates as little posion arrow. Should be no problem. Hope that helps. Pls advise. Thanks Generally, the best way is to always use colour scheme to balance up the room and minimise the use of cures. This is the most efficient and effective way. However, where there is no other option, then a cure at the right sector may be necessary. Depending on the severity, if really very unbalanced, then having a cure on different level is ok. Else, just fix up the more important rooms (ie bedrom, living room, main door etc). If the room is the storeroom or toilet, then not so necessary to duplicate the cures. Hope that helps. 14. Dear CindyLu, CindyLu Who wrote: In your experience, have you ever had the need to use 2 flying star charts? If year of construction of house is known, but several renovations have been made to the house but those years are unknown, would you use more than one chart? And how would you compare the 2 charts to enable you to make decisions? In such cases, we have to determine which chart will fall closest to the current influence of the house. Usually, we try to determine what has been done, because if there are hacking/addition/removal of house structure, generally, it is clear cut sign of a change in period. If not, then we just have to assess two charts, see which has events or features which fall closest to predicted event of the flying star. One thing we always consider especialy for old or existings house. Are we planning to have a major renovations. If so, then the original house does not matter. As you should work to change the house period to the new one. Then based on that to activate or enhance. In most cases, if the house is very old, the likelyhood of a more recent chart to have taken over is higher. So we based on all these factors to determine. Hope that helps. Or it is after my birthday then i can be considered 22? The accurate way is to to take count the passing of each birthday. We calculate the birth date from the date of birth to your next birthdate. Just similiar to how you calculate your western birth date. If based on that you are considered to be age 20 until you pass your birthday. If you count based on your lunar birthday, you will be 21 on 6 Apr 2006. Whereas, you will be 21 on 28 Apr 1985 if you take the western calendar. So since this based on your lunar calendar, as long as you pass 6 Apr 2006, you will be considered age 21. Hope that helps. P.S. Is there a way to remedy this? Clashes or harms within your own ba zi chart is not easily corrected. However, it can be minimised by ensuring that you balance up your element. This means that say if you are a weak wood person, then water and wood are what you lack. So if you have more of these areas in your life (ie your house, your colour, your element, your friends etc). The more areas in your life, the better your overall luck. This will in turn reduce any inauspicious aspect from this clash from happening. Hope that helps. Or where the best hour is at odd hours (ie 3am). Since once you choosen a good day, generally all the hours will be good for you. So the more practical is go for better sounding ie 8.58am or 8.59am or 9.58am or 9.59am. Generally, these are the better hoursand yet practical hours toget most things done. Hope that helps. An alternative seating positon offered is with the entrance in the 2 o'clock position (diagonally in front to right) but then my PC will be facing my death direction. May I know which is the better choice? In both cases, having entrance directly towards your location, so both are really no the most ideal. Therefore, since you cannot completely get a position where you do have the entrance towards you, then at least go for the better sitting direction, so that you have that luck with you. Otherwise, we can only advise on a general basis. White (Metal) is the most neutral colour that can avoid activating inauspicious stars from your flying star. Then you should based on your ba zi, if you are say a weak wood, and water is favourable for you. Therefore, you can choose very light blue (ie close to off-white colour). This way it will help you and still keepsome whitish colour to help balance any inauspicious sector. Hope that helps. We wanted to know what is the good time to arrived at the new house Sorry, probably this reply come in a little too late. Anyway, if you do not know the best hours, then usually go for nice sounding ie 8.59am or 9.59am etc. The reason is because once a day is good, really it does not matter which hour you choose. All hours will generally favour you, only some hours better or less. However, the problem with some best hours that suit both person is that sometimes, they may only occur at wee hours which is not practical. The other bedroom happens to be my death direction and his prosperity direction. Where should we place our bed? The master bedroom is overall a better direction for both of you. Reason is because if either person is Death or Disaster, then it won't really benefit. At least Spook or Disaster is acceptable. This is especially if the house suits your husband, then even if he has the least favourable room it is fine. The reason is because he will gain luck from the house. The better bedroom luck should usually be given to the spouse. So each will gain luck from at least one area. Anonymous wrote: A friend has given us a small water feature. The only position that we can find to put it is in the dinning area which is my death direction and my husband's prosperity position. Should we put the water feature there or should we give the water feature to someone else? Generally, we do not use the eight house sector to determine where to place the water feature. You must use the flying star to assess where is the water wealth position. Then placing it at that location to activate the water luck. For example, if period 8, then water star 8 tells you that there iswater star there to activate. So such water feature will be great to be place at that sector. If you only plan to place it as a decorative feature, then really place it where you feel most comfortable and really like it. Otherwise, if you do not like it then do not put it at all. Remember, that for decorative item, you should only place it if you feel good, otherwise no point and no use. Hope that helps. This chart was derived based on some study that was done. I personally really cannot say how true it is as I did not really research into it. So,I leave it up to you to see if you believe it or not.
