In feng shui, if you have such a situation, it is often considered that the people staying in the room may have quarrel more as they may not be able to see eye to eye. 2. Dear Raf, raf segers wrote: I, myself am new to this, but believe in the fengh shui way of living. Therefore I want to design my garden with the feng shui method. But it seems that I can not find specific gardening ideas to create a garden. I want to make a koi pond in the garden, combined with a Japanese garden bonsai. and a terras. In general, there isn't a guide to such arrangement, simply because it is really up to in the individual to design the landscaping. A garden is a good addition to any home, because the greenery it creates actually can help to act as shield against external threats as well as make it very nice to look at. So there is no real specifics to creating a nice garden. Probably some things you can do is make use of like tall plants or group of plants to plant at locations where there might be potential sha shi. So this helps to create a shield for such threats. As for the pond, probably the thing you can check is whether there is an auspicious water star in that direction. If so, that sector would be the best sector for the pond. Last advise, is avoid anythornytype of plants. Otherwise, go ahead and create a nice comfortable area that you and your family like. Hope that helps. Generally, any fierce animal tends to have very strong yang or sha Qi. If you really like the item as a beautify decorative items, do go ahead and place it wherever it makes the place nice and feel good. However, if you are planning to put it just because of feng shui. Then my advise is to keep it. Anonymous wrote: Tried to place it near the doorway; had only two directions to put it in - N & S.Then, the other day, put it in the SW in the inner room (think this is the relationship direction?) Coincidentally, had a harsh exchange of words with a close friend! Should I just put it away? This is exactly what I mean, such items have very strong Sha Qi. Furthermore, a proper lion is to have a pair and even if you wish to put one it should be pump and smilely and prosperous one. Never put one that is firece looking etc. All these can radiate bad sha qi and negative influence. My advise is probably better if you keep it. Anonymous wrote: # Are money plants good to keep in the NW direction? What about spider plants in the N direction? Plants of any kind is generally good especially those that have flowers. It helps create a very nice and lively environment. However, try to avoid those spiky or torny types of plants as they may create more poison arrow which again is sha qi. Usually, you should place plants at the garden or frontage if possible. Small pots of flower plants can be used inside your house for decorative purpose. And should not really matter which sector it is in. Only if you are talking about large plants within the home, then you need to becareful if the flying star within that sector has any bad star Wood star (usually star 3/4). 5. Dear Sophie, sophie corcoran wrote: i did the 8 house report but it doesnt show where the lounge/sitting room should be. The Eight House report is supposed to just show you which are the 4 good and 4 bad directions suitable to you. In general, this means that is it used to identify which rooms or sector you should use as your bedroom or which direction you should sleep/work. Since a person spends most of his time sleeping in the room, these are more important than common area such as living room / dining room / family room. Thus, it does not show you where such common rooms should be located. Furthermore, you cannot use eight house to determine such common rooms for the simple fact that different people will have different eight house, so not possible that if the room fits one person, it will fit the other. This is also why this concept is limited or used more for best bedroom / best sleeping / best working direction for the individual. Hope that helps. I am not sure what color must i paint my room to overcome it but i am a STRONG METAL as the reports said and my room is currently light blue. If you cannot change the position of your bed due to the restriction of the room. Then the only way is to attempt to improve your luck by choosing the colour scheme that is most favourable to you. Our free report should have already identify which are considered your favourable element:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm In your case, a Strong metal, will mean that Water (blue/black/gray), Wood (green/brown), Fire (red)are your favourable element. You will need to consider the flying star numbers which influence the room. The safest is to avoid Wood or Fire, or ensure that you choose very very light off-white colours. ie light blue. Avoid Fire as if there stars 2/5 then it may create more problems. Avoid Wood as if there are stars 3/4 sometimes may activate some of these stars depending on the period of the house. So probably light blue might be most appropriate. At least from what the limited information that I am advising on. Hope that helps. Anyway, just for the benefit of other users reading:- First, determine the level of the apartment:- 1. 2nd-7th level, always take the main door facing. ie standing at the main door looking outwards. 2. 8th level an dup, always take the living room/balcony. ie standing at the living room balcony looking outwards. 3. Landed Property, take the facing of the house. Usually there will be a front of the house. Taking the compass from the center of the house is also acceptable except that the analysis can only be used to assess the interior of the house. 9. Dear Teo Choon Seng, teo choon seng wrote: 2. Can I assume that the website fundamental is based on the (initial time of birth). We will first determine the ba zi (considering all the pillars) to determine if it is weak or strong element first. This gives the basic foundation ie weak water, metal/water favourable, while wood/earth unfavourable & fire is wealth unfavourable. Then we base on the balance of the five element at the initial time of birth to help you fune tune which elements you might benefit more from ie ie. metal 10%, water 20%, wood 35%, fire 5%, earth 30% Then it will mean that you need more Metal, than Water as your favourable element. While, you should avoid Wood and Earth more than fire. Some Fire is good for you but you will still need Metal first to make you stronger. This will serve as your basic elements that you will need in your life. teo choon seng wrote: 3. Whereas balance will change from luck to luck period; for eg, 10-year major cycles from age 42-51. I am now 45 yrs old. So if I generate a paid report, the percentage analysisof the 5 elements will base on the fundamental or the major 10yrs cycle. It if is a 10yrs cycle, then I can use the report until I turn 52 years old as the luck period change. For this portion, as your luck changes in each luck period, so will the actual five element percentage. So this allows you to know within that period whether do you still need more Metal, or maybe because that period has lots more Metal influence, you might benefit more from like Water. ie. 25% Metal, 10% Water, 15% Wood, 35% Fire, 15% Earth So when you started off you lack lots of Metal, but because of this period's influence, your Metal is now sufficient. So what you need more for this 10-year period would be Water. As for unfavourable element, Fire should be avoided, whereas, some Wood or Earth is acceptable provided you first have sufficient Water. The goal is to bring all your elements to be 20% for each element. Which is what we call a perfect balance. But in reality this is not easy to calculate from exactly how much percentage will come from your home, the colour you wear or the people around you. So you always must first enhance your favourable elements (ie Metal/Water). Only difference when you consider the balance of element is to know which elements will benefit you more. The initial chart gives you the fundamental elements you generally lack. Whereas the 10-yearly chart shows you the additional influence of the 10-year period that will alter the percentage slightly. This 10-year fine-tuning is applicable for that 10-year luck only. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

If you already balance the 20-year sector properly, just avoid having Earth or Fire colours in that sector.Of if the sector has star 6/7 then it might help balance the sector by itself. If the 20-year sector have star 2/5/9 which might make the Five Yellow stronger, then maybe some additional metal cure (ie 6 coins/6 rod wind chime might to balance the sector). Especially if there is not enough Metal. This cure if any is for this year only. The best way is always to balance the sector by choosing the right colour scheme. This time the dates are on weekday and I think I won't have any problem booking the hotels but not sure whether it's a good date or not. Please advice whether the new dates are ok or not. Both of us are born in the year of Tiger. To be frankly, I really don't like to post or answer questions relating to wedding dates for a simply reason. Each person is realy unique so it is very hard to tell you for sure if a date is really good or bad. However, in general if you just you a basic Tung Shu lookup, you will find that 12 may is one of the better dates in general. However, again even for best dates, it also really depends a lot on your animal sign etc. Every day different animal sign will clash or harm with each day. So days in general may be better for one group of animal sign butnot god for another. This is why, really good dates is really one that has to no only have no bad influence in the tung shu as well as generally favourabing the bride and groom. However, if based on tung shu only, 14 May is not a big date, but it is neither a bad date that has anything that says bad for gettingmarried etc. So I would say should be ok in general. As a Strong Earth, it means that metal (31%), wood (9%)& water (12% -your wealth) is generally your favourable element. Given the percentage, this easily tell you that you lack most Wood, followed by Water and least by Metal. So this is generally how you should prioritize which element you will need more or be most effective to you. This information will thus give you the basic foundation, and if for example you are choosing a name for your child or yourself, this information is what you will be using. However, you must know that these percentage will change as you enter different period etc. And thus, this next portion found in the different 10-year luck is what helps you further fine tune what you need for that 10-year luck period. Linda Tung wrote: Water Wood Fire Earth Metal 32 % 32 % 8 % 12 % 13 % In this luck period for example, your wood and water percentage is now too much, whereas your metal is lacking. So in this luck period to better balance your element, Metal is most ideal. As for your unfavourable element 8% Fire and 12% Earth, so having some of these elements to help bring all elements to 20% would be ideal. But still Fire and Earth are not so favourable so too much is no good. You see, the ideal is to have 20% of each element, however, in reality it is hard to know exactly how much you have from your home, your career and even the things around you. So always better to based on you are a strong earth, therefore Metal, Wood, Water is what you need most. In this luck period you need Metal more than Wood and Water. So that is how you make the best of the given information to create better harmony for yourself. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Analysis of Earthly Branches Clashes for the two charts:- Earthly Branch Harm between year pillar (mao) & year pillar (chen). So far based on the chart, there is only one major harm between the both of your year pillar. Harm is often less impact than clash so not the worst compatibility. Some charts even have like multiple clash/harm (ie 6 or more) Which means lots of potential disagreement. So I would rate this as average, element Strong Wood and Strong Earth is good combination which needs Metal to help reduce conflict. While, there is a major harm (ie year to year and day to day), so this means some occassional disagreeement might occur. However, if you have sufficient Metal as the common element, such conflict will be reduced. As far as your chart, this is what is shown. The rest depends on the both of you. Dear Choon Seng, teo choon seng wrote: From geomancy.net, my favourable element is metal/water.I should avoid Earth and wood. teo choon seng wrote: But the other website interpretion is, wood is the least element I hv. In order to balance, my most favourable is wood. teo choon seng wrote: So, if that is true, then if I used more metal/water as adv from geomancy.net software, then my wood element wl further bedepleted. Based on what you mentioned, then you should be a weak water person. A weak water in general will need more Metal and Water to make it stronger, while Wood will exhaust the water and Earth will destroy the water so weakening it. This is how the cycle will normally work when you relate it to like if I am weak water, these and these element is favourable. Just like if I say a person is Wood, then water and wood in general is favourable. You cannot run away from this fundamental foundation. However, what you probably don't know or may not be aware is that, there is a balance of element which is available (in paid report), to fine tune your report based on the percentage of the elements in your chart. ie. say 30% Metal, 10% Water, 5% Wood. Thiswill ultimatelymeanthat among your favourable element, 30% Metal and 10% Water, you will prefer more Water than Metal. Then though Wood is your unfavourable element, you might still benefit from some (but not too much as Wood in general still weaken your weak water element). However, we do not solely based on this initialbalance of element to assume that you will need Wood as your most favourate element. The reason is becausefor a weak Water, irregardless of whether you have moremetal or water, bothelements will in general make you stronger. Wood and Earth will weaken you in general so too much isn't good.A right proprotion is necessary to achieve perfect harmony. This isquite difficult to achieve in reality as:- 1.Asit is not possible to know what elementyou actually have from your surrounding element. You can only determine this from your intial ba zi chart, as well as from the different luck period. 2. The balance wil change from luck period to luck period. So what may seem to beleastamount you have at yourtime of birthmay not be the case as you enter different luck period and yourbalance will changebased on the luck period's influence. This is why, our website still bases on thefundamental that if you are a weak water, your favourable element will still be Metal and Water. You can then based on the balance of the fiveelement (at yourinitial time of birth) as well as the different luck period to further fine tune how muchofeach element you actually need. Frankly, there is more than just the number of each element. The element strength of each element is also important ie. 2 Strongest Earth will be very much different from 2 Extremely weak Earth. So to know the exact percentage of each element, you need to assess the 4 pillars in detail before one can tell you exactly which element you need more or less. In addition, you need to consider all the combinations and clash that can alter your elements in your chart. However, based on a weak Earth, it generally mean that you lack Fire and Earth. So the more Fire and Earth you generally have, the better your overall luck. Exactly, whether you lack more Fire or more Earth or an equal amount of each, depends on the balance of the five element in your chart. For example, if you have only 2% Fire and 20% Earth, it means you lack more Fire and Earth. So more Fire is better for you. In most bad stars, you will find that White is the most commonly used colour that can help balance bad Wood or Earth Star. That is why it is always best to choose light and off-white colours. This is a netural colour that helps to balance the room. Double star behind simply means that there is a double current prosperity star at the back of the house or opposite location of the house. ie say in a period 8 house (2003-2024), you have a double 8 for mountain or water star located opposite your main door. Ideally, if you have such stars for your actual main door or facing of the house, this house will be deemed very auspicious with both your water star (Zheng Cai) and moutain star (Pian Cai) located at the right direction. Always remember, that you need to get the housing facing right first. ie. Apartments (2nd-7th level), facing of house is taken from the main door facing direction. ie. Apartments (8th level and up), facing of the house is taken from the living room / balcony of the house. ie. Landed Property, facing of the house taken from the actual frontage of the house. Once you take that right, and if the double stars are located at your frontage, you will deemed to have an auspicious house. If it is located at the back of the house, then often you may not benefit as much from it. Duplicate mountain star, simply means that the Mountain Star and Base Star is the same in your case MS 4 and BS 4. Hence, you have this Duplicate Mountain Star. Generally, any duplicate Moutain / Water star, will normally means that a very good sector will be very good, while a bad sector will also mean it is very bad. ie if MS 5 and BS 5 it is very bad because of very strong Earth. You need to balance this sector as mentioned with Metal. If you cannot use colours, then the other alternative is maybe to use the 6 coins to help enhance the Metal influence in the sector to balance this sector of the house. Quote: 2. Can one sleep with feet or head facing TaiSui direction? Eg facing west when we sleep for 2005? Generally, Tai Sui is usually offended by any renovation works. As long as you avoid having renovation works in the Grand Duke direction. The rest of the issues will usually not affect the Tai Sui as much. Hope that helps. 24. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I just did a free Personal Ba Zi from your site which says I am a weak yin Water and itadvises me my favourable element color is white/gold/blue/black. It also says my unfavourable element color to avoid is green But other sites says that I am Kua 3 wood element, and my favourable element color is green. So which is my real element color. One is theelement from the four Pillars another is the element from my Kua No.3 - wood. Eight House (Kua) concept is derived from YEAR of birth only. While Ba Zi considers your date and even time of birth. Both concepts will have an element (ie Kua element and Ba Zi element). Ba Zi element will of course be more accurate since it considers the date and time of birth. So in terms of colour scheme we always use the ba zi element rather than Kua element. Eight House is more often used for the 4 good and 4 bad directions because even though it is very simple in just using YEAR of birth, it has proven time and time again to be extremely useful for choosing bed placement, house suitability or any concept that is for micro level type analysis. ie small area of analysis. Whereas, Ba Zi seems to be more suitable for more macro level analysis ie like if South (Fire) is favourable element for you, so staying in Southern part of Singapore is more favourable than say Northern part of Singapore. So in summary, both are two different theories. For colours, is is always better to follow the Ba Zi element, for directions especially for bed/study/work position you will apply the Eight House concepts. The Kua element is often not really useful in most cases when you have the more accurate Ba Zi element. Hope that helps. 25. Dear Levina, Levina Lim wrote: I have difficulties in finding whether I have a strong day master or a weak daymaster. I hope that you can analyse my bazi. This has been bothering me for ever since I started analysing my own chart. but till now, I am still unsure. I am born on the 30th June 1988 at 1320 hours. I would really appreciate any help I can get. If you used our free reports, it will assess whether you are a weak or strong. In your case, you are considered a strong fire. Since our reports are not crippled in any way, therefore it will be final result of your element sign. However, free report does not show you the details of how the information is tabluated or why it is so. Here is some information to show you why it is Strong. [1.] Levina, Female - 30 Jun 1988 at 1.00 p.m. to 2.59 p.m. Lunar Calender: 1988, 5th month, 17 day Birth Element: Strong Fire Likes: Earth (yellow), Water (blue/black/gray), Metal (white/gold) Dislikes: Wood (green/brown), Fire (red) 0 Weakest Water 5 Weak Wood 1 Strongest Fire 4 Strong Earth 2 Extremely Weak Metal 0% 39% 13% 42% 5% As you are born in the Fire day Heavenly Stem. If favourable elements such as Wood and Fire is more than unfavourable elements Metal and Water, then you are deemed Strong Fire. If unfavourable is more than favourable, then you are deemed weak Fire. Earth element is a double edge elementso cannot be considered in the initial stage of determining whether you are weak or strong. So since you have 39% Wood + 13% Fire (= 52%). While the element unfavourable for fire are5% Metal + 0% Water (=5%). So that is why you are a Strong Fire. Hope that helps.
