The five element present in your own bazi chart cannot be shared. However, if your husband lacks earth, and you are a weak/Strong Earth for example, than yes you will be giving him some strength. Anonymous wrote: 2. Despite his Ba Zi chart shows wealth luck since 27yrs old, his financial status is getting from bad to worst especially since I stopped working in 1997(in S'pore)and came back to Malaysia. Ba Zi only shows you your heavenly given luck. If luck in your ba zi does not match your current luck, that means your heaven luck is adversely affected by your Earth Luck (House) or other Human Luck factors as well. This means you need to check your home luck which will probably be the other major reason why you are having issues. This is why each feng shui tool will help you trouble shoot. Sometimes problems comes from ba zi given luck, most of the time it is from your home and other factors. Only when you know where is the problem, then you can attempt to resolve the situation. Personal characteristics are considered Human Luck, sometimes even if the person's luck is very good etc, but if a person is too hot tampered, lack determination, lazy etc, such negative characteristics will also mean that that person cannot be able to fully take advantage of his given luck. No one else but himself can help himself. Anonymous wrote: 4. I don't know why i stick to him the past 11 years but i am getting very frustrated and felt like a fool in the marriage. I have depleted all my savings since 2 years back, constantly asking for financial help from my family in S'pore. Despite all my efforts, no appreciation from him and his family; instead always get the accusing fingers.. 5. Iam like a "mud buddha" crossing the river now (with so much health problems and penniless now), but he is so used to the luxury that i have given him all these years. He just simply make no efforts to improve on himself and still waiting for me to solve all his financial problems. Sorry for such a loing winded message, i am desperately looking for advices. Sorry to learn about your situation. No sure what advise to give you here, really. I mean the thing I can see is that if there are lots of existing tensions between the two of you, it would be obvious that there isn't going to be harmony within the house itself. Harmony is the key in Feng Shui being able to get the maximium amount of luck from your environment. ie if everyone feels good at home, they feel happy, work better. But if you feel bad, distress it will affect everything from work to family relationship. So unless something is worked out between the two of you, really it is going to be hard to enjoy the fruits of your labour. I mean in terms of feng shui, you can only attempt to fix or correct flaws once you determine what it is. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  2. Dear Oliv, Oliv Sullivan wrote: Question: If someone's house number is, as an example, 90 and their Kua number is 1, is there any benefit to penciling in a 1 to make the house number appear as if it is 190 or 901 (which would add up to a 1) even though it is really not? However, in your mailing address it will still be written as 90 right? So it is not going to really help instead it may make your postman frustrating to locate your home. As mentioned in many other post, auspicious number is really subjective and different people have different preference. I can tell you some people dislike 4, but there are others who will love it. The luck of a home does not come from the unit number as much as from the home and external feng shui itself. Thus, number of a home has least overall impact compared to other factors. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: If I provide you with the bazhi details of all my family members, would you be able to offer your service to advise the house facing directions suitable for all of us and the best location of the house, i.e. N, S, E or W of Singapore? How much does this service cost? Remember, that for a new house the breadwinner should be suitable to the main door, while the rest of the family should have a suitable bedroom. Usually, we providea similiarsummary analysis as part of a value added service for the full onsite / offsite audit in our what we call a group summary report which summarise the entire family detail into a single report. This is currently not available as a report that users can purchase or access from our website. 4. Dear Steve, Steve Jhun wrote: I'm a first timer on the theories of Feng Shui and I really enjoy this site. I'm planning to purchase a home. Based on the 8 house chart, I'm a SE person, and the true front door faces NE. However, I recall reading somewhere that if I primarily use the garage door entrance to the home, I should be using that as the Front Door. Firstly, glad that you enjoyed the website. For the facing direction of the house, you need to first check if your home is an apartment or landed property. We have laid down some new guidelines so that users will not be so confused about the facing direction anymore:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-cecilcompass.htm 1. Landed Property - Take facing direction from the frontage of the house usually the living room or main door you enter. 2. Apartments (2nd-7th level) - Take main door direction of door. 3. Apartments (8th level and up) - Take the living room / balcony direction. This should minimise the confusions that most users have. In in doubt, you can attach a layout to help you check. Steve Jhun wrote: From the center of the home, I can not see the door that connects the garage to the home. One thing to note is that the garage door to the house upon entering the home is facing SW. Would I consider the home a SW or NE facing home? Either way, NE (Death Line) or SW (Spook) isn't that a bad sign and I should not purchase the home? Since you mentioned you have a garage, then your house should be considered the option 1 landed property. Then you need to determine which is the front of the house. Take the facing direction based on the frontage of the house. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Roeland, Roeland de Looff wrote: On different Feng Shui sites I seesets of 6 I Ching coins advertised. An example is the below: http://www.fengshui-emporium.com/C04.htm Would this be an example of a working remedial measure for the 5? Yes, that is considered one of the traditional 6 coins so it can be used. The use of 6 singapore coins is only possible in singapore (for those who cannot obtain the normal 6 coins). However, sometimes it is best to also make sure the colour scheme within that sector doesn't contain too much Fire (red) or Earth (Yellow). Best to keep such sectors which need metal (white) if possible. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  6. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: We have a variety of choices -- however, I've been reading that 2's, 6's. 8's and 9's are auspicious. Several numbers that we're considering are: 208; 116; 278; 268 and 186. Generally, for auspicious numbers, there are many many ways to look at it. Finding numbers that contain the numbers you mentioned are generally good.Particularlly, 6 in hokkien prounciation which means luck. 8 is Fa in cantonses prounication which is prosper. 9 is for like jiu or longevity. Thus, anynumber which has these numbers tend to be more auspicious. Most of the time people try to link the numbers together to get the meaning (if possible), or as long as there is the 8 or 6 these are already considered good like 86 - prosper and luck or 68 luck and prosper. Most will definately like 88 (fa and fa) is like Prosper and Prosper. 4 to chinese especially cantonese is die. But to some western like the lucky 4 leave clover is good. So really there is many ways to look at auspicious or inauspicious number. There is also another way is use your Kua number ie 9, then you add up the number 208 = 2 + 0 +8 = 10 = 1+0 = 1 so if this is the same as your Kua number it is auspicious for you. So there is really thousand and one ways to look at auspicious numbers. It is really ultimately up to you which is better for you. As long as you like the number, it really does not matter too much how you interpret the meaning. It is really a matter of personal preference. Hope that helps. Since your home is on the 6th floor, the definition of the facing direction for apartments between 2nd-7th storey is to take the main door facing direction. Units06-19/07-19 should be North-East taken from the main door. Please use a compass to more accurately get the degree. I am just judging from the North direction, didn't really use a compass to find the degree. Units 08-19 to 16-19 should be taken drom the facing of the living room which will be North-West facing direction. Anonymous wrote: What sectors do the bedrooms considered to fall into? 8. Dear Sam Yeong, Sam Yeong wrote: 1) is it true that no water should be placedat NE in period 8? what if there is ws8 there? Really depends on what are the stars in the sector. To say that NE should not place water feature is just like saying that everyone's SW sector is the romance corner. It is best you do a full flying star analysis of the sector before you place or use any enhancements. Sam Yeong wrote: 2) is it true that no water should be placed in the center palace of the house as it has a similar effect as a toilet in the center? Yes. Center of the house is the flux of all influence, as such it should be kept empty. As such, it should not have a toilet, fish tank etc. Such items will have similiar effect. Sam Yeong wrote: 3)In BaZhi I'm an earth person, water suppose to be my wealth element.I'm also a kua6 person, is it true that wood is also my wealth element? There is only one element that is considered your wealth. And that is based on your ba zi element. If you are a Earth person, then the element you destroy is your wealth element. Eight House can only tell you the suitability of a sector. It is not the best way to determine the element because it only uses YEAR of birth. As such, its accuracy is limited. Whereas Ba Zi is more accurate as it does analysis from the date of birth and even time of birth. Thus, even though Eight House also has it's own Kua number, it is not used in the same way. Dear Roeland, Roeland de Looff wrote: In different posts you mention the use of 6 antique Chinese qoins or the Singapore Dollar as a remedial measure for countering star 5. Roeland de Looff wrote: However, is there any reason why we could not use any metal coincoming from any country? Yes. We mentioned it is possible to use singapore 1 dollar coin, because the singapore 1 dollar coin has a bagua shaped border and it is gold colour. The bagua shape object has a similiar effect of creating or destroying inauspicious influence. Thus, it is a potential replacement for the traditional 6 coins which is a gold coin with a square in the middle. Gold coin metal element is reinforced with the square earth element which is then reinforced with the red thread. Not all coins are shaped in this way thus not all coins can be used. Hope that helps. 10. Dear Hoa Luong, Hoa Luong wrote: According to the house hunting report for P8, both E1 and W2/3 have double 8s at the front door facing, but E1 is better suited for me than W2/3 house. This tells me that from a front door facing fengshui standpoint, the bazi element is more important than the 8-house suitability. Am I correct? Actually, flying star analysis of the main door will be most important in the house hunting, followed by Ba Zi, than followed by Eight House. Reason being is that Eight House is based on YEAR of birth, whereas ba zi uses even time of birth to analyse. Often, it is ideal to get a direction which both Eight House and Ba Zi element are favourable. For cases such as yourself, it means that your Death sector as defined by Eight House isn't that bad as the ba zi element helps to offset some of the influence. Whereas, your excellent direction isn't all that good because the ba zi element is not so favourable. The best direction is where both eight house and ba zi element are favourable. However, it is hard to get everything perfect. Where possible, we try to draw a line of which is more important. What are the other good directions? I am sure there will be an alternative that might not be the best but without the facing Death direction. Like mentioned try to find a balance, if not possible, then like you mentioned, of the main door falls in a different sector even though the house faces East, then this is also a consderation. The House Hunting analysis tries to analyse all possible combinations. Once you know the various analysis, you can then take advantage of the finding the best possible homes. Remember, no home is 100% perfect, you have to give and take some of the flaws that isn't too bad. Hoa Luong wrote: If I find a E1 facing house, the front door itself has to fall into either NE (my longevity) or SE (my irritation), then it's OK for my to buy this house (aslong as other fengshui issues like toilet etc.. are OK). But if the front door itself is also in the E sector, then it's not OK for me to buy this house. Am I correct? Yes, this is one way to look at it. But my advise is check if there is another alternative that might avoid Death direction if possible. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  11. Dear Anon, Quote: I am a strong water lady (3 metal, 4 water, 2 wood and 1 earth) and there is no fire element in my chart. What does it mean when one does not have a wealth element in her chart? It means she has to work extra hard to gain wealth. And she can only depend on luck that you encounter from time to time (ie different luck period or yearly luck that contains wealth.) Or from being with people or a spouse that has lots wealth. 12. Dear Roeland, Roeland de Looff wrote: Suppose someone is weak wood and sitting ina sector in which the woodstars 3 or 4 are prominent. Although these stars are no good in a general sense will these stars benefit the weak wood person? Not really. This is because a sector has several influence at work, even though there is a star 3/4 which are wood element. That person might benefit a little from it, but not really a great deal. Given that the flying star sector has 20year/year/month/day stars changing all the time, as such even ifa presence of star 3/4 is there, it isn't enough to be considered a Wood element presence. This isn't as strong as staying in the East direction/sector which is Wood element influence. So you will still have to use other ways to enhance the weak wood. Roeland de Looff wrote: Also can a weak Fire person benefit from this since Fire needs wood to grow? The major luck comes from the house itself and not from the apartment number. Whether a number is auspicious or not, is a matter of personal preference. Some people especially the Chinese (Cantonese) do not like 4 because it sounds like die, but there are others who has lucky number that is 4. So really, it is a matter of personal preference. This will be taking the facing of the house based on flying star which allows you to extend the macro flying star scope to even the surrounding area of the house. Taking the main door from the South-West sector from the center of the house is also acceptable but that will be more micro feng shui that applies to the house only within the structure of the house. Will it be even better if we alsolive in the northern part of Singapore, such as Woodlands and Yishun? Yes, if you consider the ba zi direction, choosing a North of a country is one way of adding more Water to the person. Ba Zi direction is typically used in Macro analysis rather than micro analysis. Macro analysis is such as countries located in North, or North part of the country, or direction of travel North wards. For such analysis, ba zi element and direction would be better. Micro analysis is more like facing of a home, or sector of bedroom or sleeping position etc. For such analysis, eight house direction and suitability would be better. Hope that helps. Does it mean that a date that's auspicious forparticularchinese horoscopes will be auspicious for whoever persons with those same horoscopes? Yes, if you just use horoscope then you will be defined as Horse, Pig etc. Given that all person born in the same year will be the sameanimal sign, thus the animal signs which you clash with will be the same for all person born in the year. That is why we prefer to use ba zi. Ba Zi breaks down each animal sign further into weak/strong wood Horse for example. Thus, providing a more accurate analysis. Ba Zican clash between ba zi day/month/year pillar with the date. This gives you a more accurate analysis. As even the year isn't auspicious, you will noticed that there will be less auspicious date available within that year. Thus, we do not just use the horoscope to analyse whether a date is good or not. At most, this is applied for hour analysis, as there isn't much hour to choose from if you go to detail in the hourly analyiss. Anonymous wrote: Also, is there a need to consider the chinese horoscope of the wedding couple's siblings as well? Detailed analysis is only needed between the bride and groom. As with that analysis alone, you will find that there are already very few dates which will be suitable to both and does not clash under the tong shu event. The only thing that we usually check for is for the parents and parent-in-laws especially to see how to boost the luck for each of the family members. You can check your siblings if you wish to, but often the most important is the parents and parent-in-laws. Hope that helps. 18. Dear Serina, Quote: Thanks again for your advises. In the six months since I bought my new-blue car, it was once broken-into by a thief, twice being damaged in the carpark and one recent collision with another car. I questioned about the colour of the car after reading your "Free Personal Ba Zi" which stated that Blue isone of the unfavourable element for a weak Metal. Generally, when luck isn't favouring you espeically from a few different areas (ie your ba zi luck, house luck etc). Such issues will occur. This is what we call compounded effect of the bad or unfavourable luck. As such, it means that you need to enhance as much of other areas in order to balance up the influence. 19. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My son belongs to weak water. According to his report, the suitable house facing directions are North/Northwest/West. However, North is one of the bad directions, i.e. Death. There are two concepts which deals with good/bad directions. 1. Eight House - Where it uses your year of birth, to determined the 4 good and 4 bad directions according to the Prosperity, Excellent, Health, Longevity, Spook, Irritation, Disaster & Deatth direction. Though, this is just based on year of birth accuracy, we still use it to check on the two worst direction ie Death or Diaster. Of which, these are two directions that you should avoid most among the 4 bad directions. The best uses is to check for micro application such as house facing, bestbedroom direction, sleeping / sleeping direction etc. 2. Ba Zi - Where it uses your entire date of birth (ie day, month, year & hour of birth), and breaks down to the five element (ie weak or strong water. Each direction also has an element associated (ie North - Water element etc). This is used more in terms of macro level application, ie direction of travel, best location within the country to stay etc. It can also be used as a house facing direction, but often the eight house suitability especially death or disaster will still be equally important. 3. Our bazi uses both information so that users can be more careful that, not all directions suitable to ba zi, or good for eight house means that direction is the best. The best direction is one where both eight house and ba zi are favourable. 4. What it means for your son is that even though your son is weak water person, and thus water element is one of the favourable element so North direction is favourable because North is Water element. However, because it is Death direction based on the Eight House, this will cancel some of the good impact of the Death direction for the auspicious ba zi direction. On the other hand, it will also mean thatthe Death direction is not as bad because the ba zi element is suitable. So what it means that if your son was to choose a home, he sould avoid chooing North as the facing direction, however, he can choose a location North of the country to reside in. Or still auspicious for him to travel North wards for example So basically that is why, you get the conflicting report. However, even though eight house isn't as accurate by using Year of birth, it still has it's benefit as such both analysis are useful when you balance up the advantages and disadvantages of the two concepts. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Frankly, there is truly very little thing that you can do to improve a sell of a home based on feng shui. I mean, what you can do is ensure that you wear more favourable colours to enhance the luck when you meet the potential buyer, or choose a good dateetc. Maybe, if the home has good feng shui advantage, youcan also point it out. Otherwise, it is better that you focus on more practical aspects, ie keep the house neat and tidy; give the house a fresh coat of paint; list out the advantages of the homes ie ease of transport, quiet/serene environment, convient location etc; Advertise enough to get people's attention by your real estate agent; Last but not least the price will ultimately be the deciding factor. Water produces weak Wood thus it is usally more effective under the five element productive cycle. Wood will add more Wood to weak Wood person, thus strengthening it. As such will also be effective, just not as effective as Water element. However, ultimately, in order to determine which is effective, you should check out the proper precentage of each element. Only then can you know which element you truly lack and try to have more of that as opposed to the other element. But regardless of that five element percentage, a weak wood likes water and woodas they make weak wood stronger. 22. Dear Roeland, Glad that you are enjoying the website. Roeland de Looff wrote: In different posts you say that you do not like all the fuzz that is made about the yearly stars since this isbased on the base star only. For example if the yearly 5goes to a sector, that does notgive a lot of information becausewho knows there may be auspiciousyearly water or yearly mountain stars in that sector for a particular house also. Flying Star of a sector compose of Base Star, Water and Mountain Star, followed by Yearly, Monthly Stars. The overall influence of a sector comes from the Base Star, Water and Mountain Star. The yearly star is only there to stay for that current year. So priority goes to fixing the sector that has the greatest overall influence, followedby the influence that additional fine tuning by the yearly and monthly stars. If you do it that way, it would be much easier and more beneficial. Remember yearly star only affects that current year, so it will go away once the year pass. So if you are too focused on just fixing up the yearly cure, then once the year past, you have the worry about it again. Roeland de Looff wrote: Does that main that you propose to add the yearly water and mountain stars (which of course are dependent upon the facing direction of a certain building). Does this give a more complete picture thanthe yearly base stars only? Yes, whenever you review a sector, you have to look at it with all influence. ie in our latest paidflying star report, we actually chart out a flying star as follows:- North-West (Metal) 9 5 8 Year 2005 5 Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun 2 1 9 8 (7) 6 Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec 5 4 3 2 1 8 North (Water) 4 9 (Main Door) 4 Year 2005 9 Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun 6 5 4 3 (2) 1 Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec 9 8 7 6 5 3 North-East (Earth) 2 7 6 Year 2005 7 Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun 4 3 2 1 (9) 8 Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec 7 6 5 4 3 1 This gives you a greater ideal which year of example luck is good or bad. It also give you a clear idea how the luck changes each month for that year itself. So unless you put all the stars information, you will not be able to tell how a sector luck is. ie just looking at the year star without other stars how you know exactly what influence the sector has? Roeland de Looff wrote: Of course the analysis will become a bit complicated since in that case we will have to deal with 6 stars (yearly base star, yearly mountain star, yearly water star and the permanent base star, mountain star and water star) instead of 4. Suppose one adds the monthly base star, water star and mountain star to that and the picture becomes complicated indeed. That is why, I mentioned, fix up 20-year sector problems first, then worry about the yearly or monthly changes (last). These yearly and monthly are fine tuning to the sector. Like I mentioned, the easiest way is just focus on where the bad stars enter that sector. Those sector with the bad stars will thus require some additional fine tuning to ensure it does not impact the people staying in that sector for that year. Hope that helps. You need to check out the flying star analysis of your home using our free reports on the website to determine which would be the best sector in the home which will benefit from a fish tank/water feature. If you do not look at these information, then usually the best place to place a fish tank or water feature is at the living room/balcony area which is often considered an open space. This is one area where it is advantages to trap wealth before it leaks out of the house. Water feature always works best in large open space area. As such, often the living room or balcony area are the best areas. Avoid placing fish tank in your bedroom etc. However, as mentioned, the best way to determine where to place a water feature for activating water wealth in your home, is through flying star analysis of the home. 24. Dear Oliv Sullivan, Oliv Sullivan wrote: I understand that it is not a good year to do "major" renovations in the NE this year. Does closing in a porch and turning it into a sunroom qualify as a renovation? It would involve installing windows, flooring, and moving an exterior door.Should a deck also be built in this same direction this year? The only direction that you really need to be concerned with is the Grand Duke direction West 270 degree. This sector should avoid any renovations if possible. Other analysis such as flying star etc impacts the house luck, so you need to check to see if it is advantages to renovate the house as it might change the house luck from an older period (ie period 7 to period 8). Any major renovation done to an older house will change the house luck period. And this may be good or bad depending on which direction is the house and whether which luck period will be better. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
