Master Cecil's mention in the forum to place a dragon figurine facing out of the window directly aimed at the SW direction of the house. And for the main entrance, another dragon figurineaimed at the main entrance door. Can I placea dragon figurine facing thru outthe window (from thekids roomwindow facing out) as opposite their room isthe study room (SE location).I have already place a dragon figurine at SW location as it is our main entrance door.Your advise will be very much appreciated. I personally think this isn't a big issue to worry. Kids are like that. It would be worrying if you are dealing with adults quarreling or lawsuits etc. So I do not thing it is necessary to place a dragon figurine. Too much of such figurines can creating more discomfort in the home. Dragon are very fierce creatures. So it can help to fend of major sha qi. But having too much of it in the house can also create unnecessary sha qi or conflicts in the house. I think that you should not be too worried about every small issue. There are minor and major leaks. This is considered a minor issue. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  2. Hi Hoa Luong, Hoa Luong wrote: My house is SW2/P7. My bedroom is in SW sector (ms4, bs 4, ws1, ys 1). I'd like to change the floor from carpet to wood. I'm having a lawsuit pending. Because of the ms4 and bs4, will this wood floor make my lawsuit situation worse? Generally, there is no issue for the type of flooring. I mean there can only be wood flooring or tiles or carpet. It would be impractical to use other material for bedroom as it might be too cool for even your feet. More important would usually be the colour scheme of the room. The flooring materials are not an issue. Hope that helps. Dear nilg?n birg?l, You should check out these two articles by Cecil Part 1 - Facing direction of a home Part 2 - Facing direction of a home nilg?n birg?l wrote: i am an architectural designer from istanbul/ turkey, and very new to feng shui. thank you very much for your very informative site. i am a bit confused with compass reading. my family will move to a new house next month but although i studied your informative pages, i;m not surehow to take the compass reading because the living room of the house faces the street, however, you enter the building and the house from the rear. besides, it is not a square or a rectangle, it is L shaped. what am i supposed to do? face the street or the main door at the back? thank you for your attention. god bless you. regards, nilg?n Based on what you tell me so far. I am guessing that your home is an apartment. So you should based on these general guidelines. 1. If betweem 2nd-7th levels, take the main door. 2. If above 8th levels, then take the living frontage. If you follow these two guideline, should not be wrong. If in doubt, you can always take the living room frontage. This will not go wrong either way. If still in doubt, attach a layout for us to advise you. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  4. Hi Anon, Anonymous wrote: When leaving the marital home due to seperation and divorce, Would it be appropiate to take material possessions? minus garbage and donating to charity. How about the marriage bed and frame? less than 2 years old? or the bedroom suite ?Is there any advise to help the transition to a new life? This is really up to you. Personally, there isn't harm taking things that can still be used. Most of what you mentioned are mostly chinese beliefs if any. Probably the reason why you might not want to consider the bed and frame is so that it does not remind you of an unsuccessful marriage for example. So ideally, if you want to start a fresh it is best to get a new bed for example. Anonymous wrote: Also, issues with employment and updating skills, should I resolve prior to leaving or deal in new living accomadation? I think this is a separate issue. Probably it would be better if you deal in the new living accomodation so that everything start from fresh and give you enough time to settle everything before you focus on your work. Anonymous wrote: Attempted to seek marriage counselling and spouse refuses. Unforunately, for any marriage to work, it requires two person each to give and take. 5. Dear Lionel, Quote: I was told that I should increase the ?water? for the sector 7,9 (3). I also understand that a mountain painting is always encouraged to be placed behind our seat to act as a ?support?. However, doesn?t a mountain symbolize the ?earth? which is not encouraged for the sector 7,9 (3)? To encourage water in that sector, you can consider having the room painted light blue. That will add water to the room. As for the picture, mountain picture is always nice. Anyway, if based on the 7 (Metal), 9 (Fire), 3 (Wood), adding Water and mountain painting will create a harmonious environment. ie Metal -
  6. Hi Angela, Sorry, but didn't see any attached picture. So quite difficult to comment based on your description. Please re-attach the file. Generally, you need to be more concerned about the breadwinner (probably your husband). You need to ensure that the house faces at least one of your 4 good directions and have a suitable bedroom for the breadwinner. If the eight house is quite opposite, then at least house should suit the breadwinner while the bedroom should suit the spouse. Hope that helps. 7. Dear Nawaz Ahmed, Nawaz Ahmed wrote: I want to place fish aquarium with 8 gold fish & 1 black fish in my living room. Which is the best corner position compass direction South-East or North-East? Frankly, this really depends a lot on what stars are present in the South-East or North-East sector of thouse based on the flying star analysis. Make use of the free reports in the member area to determine what stars are present. You should try to determine where is your auspicious water star. If your home is a period 8 house for example, then if you have a water star 8 in the South-East, then you should place the aquarium in that sector compared to North-East. Nawaz Ahmed wrote: my kua number is 8. accroding to my kua number SE is my inauspicious direction. Placing an aquarium you do not have to worry about your eight house direction. This concept is only for finding the best direction etc. Nawaz Ahmed wrote: Ba-Gua map when placed in the entrance of my living room Prosperity corner comes to actual NE corner (far lest corner),feng shui experts suggest to place aquarium in SE corner of living room. Am confused kindly advice. thanks in advance. kindly note there is a window in NE corner of my living room Eight House is for suitability to home, bedroom, sleep position or work position. You should not be using that to determine your aquarium placement. You should be thinking of which sector has the auspicious water star so that you can activate it to create wealth. So finding where is your auspicious water star is more important to activating your water star wealth. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

As creating a nice environment that you feel good to live in is essentially what Feng Shui is all about. Creating Harmony Hope that helps. 11. Dear Ester, Anonymous wrote: I am west person and my my home door is in west. When i enter into house then i am facing east ( death line is in east). Please be advised, that East person does not necessary mean that your best direction is East. Nor does West person mean that your best direction is West. East/West house are two grouping that is used to describe this theory or concept. An East house person means that most of the good sectors fall in the East side (most of the time), while a West house person means that most of the good direction falls on the West side. So more accurately, when you want to see if a house is suitable or not, you simply check if the direction falls in one of your 4 good sectors or not (ie Excellent, Prosperity, Health, Longevity). As long as it does, then it is considered a suitable house for you. Since your door is in the west side of the house, it is considered a West house. Anonymous wrote: I read that entrance and death line should follow in same direction not opposite? Can this mean that my home door is in wrong place? Where would be good location for a door? For whether a house is suitable or not, all you need to ensure is that main door does not fall in the East sector of your home which you mentioned is Death. Also, your bedroom should not be the East sector. And if possible when you work / sleep try to avoid pointing East. Otherwise, it is fine. That is actually all you need to be considered with. So far from what you have provided, it seems ok a suitable house for you so far. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  12. Hi Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am absolutely new to Feng Shui. In an effort to find out why my house "doesn't feel right", before I paint this place for the sixth time in seven years, I have started to study, and study, and study. This web site has been very helpful in getting me started in what I believe to be the right direction. One thing that you know in Feng Shui, that you must feel comfortable in the place you live in. There shouldn't be a need to keep re-painting the home just because you think it is unsuitable. Colours are just one aspect of feng shui sometimes you should check if there are other flaws, ie sharp corners cutting your usual work or sleep area for example. Anonymous wrote: When I look forward out of my front door (the door most frequently used by myself), the direction I face is south 190 degrees - a quiet street. When I face out my back door where I spend a great deal of time, the direction I face is 20 degrees north - toward a 6 foot fence separating my back yard from a very high-traffic street which is a constant source of annoying yang-noise). I presume from what you have described, you stay in a landed property. So you should be taking your frontage from the main entrance of your home (ie usually will be where you drive in if you had the gate). That will be considered the frontage. I think if I picture your description right, it should be your front door. That would more likely be your facing direction of the house. Anonymous wrote: Is the noisy north back considered Facing? Hi Amatuer Cat, Amatuer Cat wrote: I have nasty, nasty neighbors living in the apartment below me, So I am using tiny mirrors and tin-foil under my area rugs to reflect their energy back to them. They consider me to be negative energy to them, andam afraid if they are practicing feng shui too, what happens if they are doingsomething similar, like using mirrors to reflect my energy back to me? Does this cancel it out? Frankly, a lot of feng shui practises that advise the use of ba gua or mirror against say another neighbour isn't usually friendly application of Feng Shui. Why do I say that? Simple. If you do that, your neighbours will have no choice but to do the same just to bounce the Negative Sha Qi back. And when they do that, you will have to think of something to counter it back again. So the cycle will be endless. And each enhancement will cancel it out. Instead of creating a nice environment, it will tend to create conflicts. I find that in such a situation neither person will truly benefit. So the answer to your question is yes. Doing that will simply cancel the effect out eventually. Sometimes I feel it is better just to be friendly with the neighbour and avoid having such items placed to aggrevate the situation.Sometimes just talking nicely to the neighbour and working out a solution that will benefit both might be better than starting an feng shui war. Afterall, feng shui is about creating harmony. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  15. Hi Anon, Anonymous wrote: From the research I have done it seems I may have what is called a 'black stream' flowing under my propery/home. How do i balance this. Frankly, these probably has to do with the way underground water has over your home. Similiar to this link:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-under.htm The only true way to not be influenced by it, is frankly to move out to a better location without this issue. Because, if not if you continue to live in such a homes, health will be affected in a matter of time. Any solutions/items if any will only be slowing down the influence, not completely removing the negative influence from such a problem. These are not true solutions for such a homes. They can maybe only help reduce some of the negative influence but not completely eliminate it. Some items that may help would be like those Plasma Air Cleaner which can help to reduce firstly bacteria etc. Since some of these underground water, tends to make like food spoil faster etc, thus such products which help slow down the bacteria may offer some help. However, in the long run, my advise is to move out to a better location. That will be the only true way to solve this issue completely. Hope that helps. 16. Hi Christine, christine palmer wrote: I have been trying to sell 2 out of state properties. will either sell in the next 30 or so days? Or any advice on how to sell them? You should understand that Feng Shui by no means a miracle cure for all problems. In terms of selling property, probably some of these practical points will help you more:- 1. Ensuring the place you are selling looks clean. Or give it a fresh coat of paint to make it look new. 2. Make use of the strengths of a building to sell it (ie located near like public transport - trains, convienent location, near schools etc). 3. Get a good property agent who has lots of contacts can improve the sales. Otherwise, in terms of feng shui, you can only look at auspicious dates, or if the house has good Feng Shui advantage let the clients know. It can help influence his decisions. Hope that helps. Can you advise, normally how far a distance from mywindowshould I use to check for posion arrows? It really depends on the shape of the building. From what I can tell if the landing air strip points to your home, then yes, this might be considered a posion arrow. If not, it depends on the building, whether there is any corners pointing or cutting into your home. The main thing with air base is often the sound pollution if any. Just like sun light which is considered a sha qi because of the heat, sound if equally noisy can also be equally distractive for people staying there. Probably practical enhancements is sound proofing the rooms etc. james koh wrote: Can I hanga convex round mirror instead of Ba Kua Mirror at my window to ward off this poison arrow? I have'nt come across such things or neither do I hear that.Is it's atraditional or supertitious belief. As we are a modern traditional family it's hard to ask my sister's to cancel her birthday celebration unless there's a reason. Please give your advice orcan anyone tell me. I personally find that all these are chinese traditions. Chinese birthday is always counted one year older. Sometimes it can be two years depending on whether it falls on a lunar birthday. Personally, I think the more important dates that most people celebrate are like 60, 70, 80, 90 years. These are meaning full age that most people will celebrate. I am personally did not come across any material about this special clothings. Probably there might be. As you know even for Chinese, there are so many dialect groups, each with their own traditions and beliefs. I think since your sister-in-law is so certain, no harm to follow it. This is really entirely up to individual family and how they wish to celebrate it. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  19. Dear Francis, francis wan wrote: Hello , need your advice if we sleep facing a bathroom door or TV directly and also underneath a beam or a pictureis bad for our fengshui ? Facing a bedroom door is quite common in most house layout nowadays due to space constraint. Generally, nothing much you can do here except to ensure that it kept closed when not in use. As for facing the TV, this isn't an issue. The idea behind this is TV screen tends to be reflective as such it resembles a mirror. It is said that when you sleep, your spirit wonders out, so when it sees the TV screen it gets a shock. But if you think about it, those who like tolook at the mirror comb the hair and them move on will like it. So it is very much a tolerance level of a person. Furthermore, with flat screen LCD TV there are hardly any reflection so not a big issue. Yes, for sleeping under the beam it is not so good. Best way to have a false ceiling to cover the beam or get a canopy type bed to block the beam when you sleep. francis wan wrote: Next , we have a mirror facing our main door from opposite windows , can we do the same to deflect it ? However, remember that true feng shui does is not dependen on any particular item. But rather it is dependant on creating a harmonious environment. The best way to enhance the element, is by taking note of what elements you should have more, and have them in as many parts of your life as possible:- ie. House - North = Water element ie. Frankly, you can only do so much as to create opportunities for the two person to talk it out. Anything, that can help to remind them of the good/memorable times they had together can help. But ultimately, they will have to work out the difference themselves in order to settle their conflicts. There isn't going to be any so call feng shui items that can be place to mircle improve their relationship. The only thing can can help to so call create harmony is by finding what elements will work together to help reduce friction.
