  1. 1. Is a home at a T-Junction considered as having "Sha qi: poison arrows?". 2. Often, in Singapore, we find that two homescan face aT-junction. 3. For example, please see attachment: The two terrace homes marked in purple 1 and 2 are facing a T-Junction. 4. However, often ONLY one of these homes are consideredas havingsha qi. The determining factor is whether the country is having a Right-hand drive or Left-hand drive car. 5. In this example, since the location is Singapore; which is a right-hand drive country, the sha qi will affect terrace house marked in purple: 1 and 3. 6. For the US; which has a left-hand drive, the movement of cars would differ and most likely the sha qi will be against homes marked in purple: 2 and 4.
  2. Astor is a small 12 storey single block condominium. It was completed this year. Tenure is 99 years. I give this condo the"THUMBS DOWN":- 1. Although the overall block looks not only like a drawf dragon; it is only but ajunior &not a formidable dragon and worseoff - it looks like it has all its limbs amputated... a cripple! 2. The worst stack is Stack #03. Has really bad Shapes and Forms Feng Shui: the main issue is that the whole stack (other than the void area for cars to pass below it;) faces the main entrance. 3. Naturally, this stack #03, also has a "dark secret". It has the "pulling power" to bring itself "down" and drag stack #02 with it to the dumps! 4.1 In particular, the "V" shaped void between the two blocks create bad "votex" and qi flow. 5. Furthermore, the rest of the other stacks either has facing direction ofFlying Star Period 8; NW3 or SE3. 6.Even ifsomeone places a gun to my head, I would try my best to forcethe gun away from me. Most likely, it willinjure the shooter, instead... Others: Types of Units: 2Rms - 861Sf - 990Sf 3Rms -1087Sf - 1227Sf 3Rms+Study - 1173Sf
  3. 1. Frankly, there are so many unknowns; on such a simple question. 2. For example; in order for wealth leak; it starts from even simple things as : Location, location and location. 3. Even if the toilet at the center-point is considered a leak; often in order to have things like wealth leak(s); usually a home would most likely have at least THREE major leaks. 4. We all know that if we live in an apartment, there is no (like the British say "no bloody" way) thatwe move the toilet/ it's plumbing etc... 5. Thus for practical reasons, try to find other "wealth leaks" especially major ones and fix them. Then one will have a higher success rate. 6. But a real pity is that many equate buying uselss commercial products as a "comforter?" much like some people find comfort in eating ... to make their "pain go away". 7. Thus, in reality; even if the toilet is a CONTRIBUTING cause; try to apply the concept of:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Concept_of_Maximizing_Marks
  4. 1. If you have pictures of both sides would be good. 2. Majority of homes have 4 sides. If it is standalone home (bungalow) then 4 sides. If it is a semi-detached home than 3 sides to consider as the "facing" direction. For terrace home only 2 sides. 3. Often, if the "back" of the home has the washingarea/ washing machines, kitchen (wet and or dry) and rooms said as spare, guestor maid'sroom and toilets; then most likely, this area standing inside the home facing out of this areais not the"facing" direction". 4. Facing direction shouldoften preferably to "light" airy and bright. No need to measure windows, a visual look of how many openings and how much light comes in would be one consdieration indetermining the facing direction of the home. 5. Your call, because, it is difficult tounderstand from a simple forum message. The saying goes " a picture tells a thousand words".
  5. 1. As you are trying to D.I.Y. frankly it is spending lots of time and effort going thru the various concepts:- 1.1. Some of the useful links:- Flying Star as a diagnostic Tool: http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Flying_Star_Feng_Shui_as_a_Diagnostic_Tool Eight House Theory: Which side must I sleep http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Master_Bedroom:_Which_side_must_I_sleep_on More importantly, one has to do lots of research into understanding key concepts: The Three-Step-Approach
  6. 1. As we all know, Titanic did sink! 2. Imagine, even a ship built with so many individual compartments cannot stay afloat! 3. The most recent theory was that the steelfor the ship although adequate for that time, can get brittle. 4. And it was foundalso that at majority of the rivets were forged by machines to bind the pieces of steel. 5. Many inaccesible locations that needed hammering of rivets were done by hand. And because of this, softer steel or wrought iron were used to form the rivets. And many ofthesesofter steel were found to have slag or britte material. 6. And whenTitanic glazedan iceberg, many of the weak riverts gave way and several of it's waterproof compartments were breeched.. Thus there was no hope. 7. Can we draw a same parallel to our lives? 8. In many instances;we often prefer to close our eyes to "leaks" but rather think or mislead into buying all sorts ofuseless commercial products. Like all theexpensive furnishings in the first class area of titanic; all these products willgodown with the ship! 9. It is likefor some people, when they are stressed; they simply find solace in food! But ultimately, they growfat fast! And if they really want to get back.. they have to really work hard to loose all those pounds! But many.. don't!
  7. 1. Complex comprises the Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery, Bright Hill Crematorium & Columbarium and the Evergreen Home. 2. The Tee Tho Aum Temple is next door to the many funeral parlours at Blk 37 to 39 Sin Ming Drive. 3. In when my grand-father's grave was exhumed from his burial site 35 plus years ago in the Tampines dut to the government taking possession of the cemetry to buildgovernment homes in that area. Presently my grand father is housed in the Bright Hill Columbarium. 4.The Golden Sphere / Spine is considered a sha qi especially if the premises is at the same level of the spine. 4.1 There are several developments close-by to spine:the Bishan Point condo; Government Housing Board Flats (Housing and Development Board - HDB) in Bright Hill Avenue arevery close to the "Sphere or Spine" of the Kong Meng San. 4.2 And many of the homes (directly facing the sphine) that are at the same level of the "Sphere or Spine" hadopted / resorted to placing a conVEX mirror each to deflect it.
  8. SOURCE & CREDIT OF ALL PICTURES AND SITE MAPS TO: FAR EAST ORGANISATION Saturday, 25th July 2009: 1. This is a newly launched freehold development by Far East Organisation. This development is at Jalan Datoh in the Thomson & Novena; at the fringe of the the city area. 2. This development comprises Two Towers: Tower 1 and Tower 2. 3. On firstlooks, the development seems to look like the very auspicious "V" shaped (Shapes and Form configuration). You can see the picture of the condo and Illustration 1 from attachments: Vista Residences.gif & V-shaped-layout.gif 3. Please see attachment: Vista Residences1.jpg. Tower 1 has a sharp corner (Sha qi or poison arrow) aimed at Tower 2. So long as the poison arrow at 45 degrees angle does not slice into the balcony window of Tower 2, then it is OK. 3.1 Thus so long as Tower 1 Stack #08 "shoots" at Tower 2 but if it does not impact towards a window, balcony opening of Tower 2 Stack #01, this is acceptable. But if it does, then this is a classic Sha Qi or poison arrow hitting Tower 2 Stack #01. 3.2. In my opinion, based purely on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui: harmonious arrangementof the layout of Towers 1 with Towers 2 and the alignment of the Towers to the North-South and East-West compass alignment. 9. Great! What you had mentioned; is correct! Carrie H. wrote: So that would mean that my 10 heavenly stems would be "10" and my twelve earthly branches would be "12" correct?
  10. 0 is considered as the last year, thus it is equal to 60. Carrie H. wrote: I'm trying to figure out my sexagenary number according to Unit 4 in the applied Feng Shui Course. I was born in 1983. My sexagenary number comes to 0? Is there a different way of calculating for that year of birth?
  11. i1.This is a freehold development comprises 240 units. The developer is: Allgreen. 2. It is situated on a higher slope at Woodleigh Close, off Upper Serangoon Road. IT has 2 Blocks that are 14 storey's high. 3. As it's TOP was in 2008, the Flying Star for this development is Period 8. And 50 percent of all units face South 2 (N2; while the rest of the units face North 2 (N2) 4. Overall, this whole development suits the East group people. In particular, the best units are those circled in RED: South facing. As South facing apartmens enjoy double auspicious MS#8 and WS#8 at it's frontage. The best stacks in this development are: #01, #04, #05, #08 and #09. 5. With an odd shaped layout plan, the developer has taken much effort in maximising the blocks. And the blocks are well laid out i.e. no complicated positions. In addition, the entire site looks like the numeral = ONE. Thus Good Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. 6. In addition it is short walking distance to the Woodleigh MRT and three famous schools near-by: Cedar Girls Secondary School, Maris Stella High School and Victoria School. It is also very close to Potong Pasir market area. CAVEAT: "BETTER UNITS ARE SOUTH FACING" - THE ABOVE APPLIES ONLY FROM T.O.P. IN 2007 TILL MAX 2023
  12. 1. Please note that one of those table top small (tiny) fountains is considered useless.. or no point placing it. 2. For any water feature, yes, refer to the earlier link and Para 2.1 to 2.11. It is stated there to apply the five elements concept.
  13. Sorry I cannot comprehen what you are mentioning about. Overall the layout plan that you had shown earlier, looks good under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui.
  14. 1. You should use the unit number as #02 - 04. 2. In addition, you should also indicate the Flying Star Period e.g. 1984 to 2003 etc... 3. Please note the above info and the use of the House number report is usually meant to see the vertical Flying Star significance of the home. 4. Birthdays are mean to find out whether you are an East or West group and also matched with the facing direction of the apartment. Frankly, this is not within the scope of this General Advice forum. Phung Tieu T. wrote: This condo unit is located at 2nd floor and the house number is 7041 and condo # is 204. My birthday is 07/18/1962. Would you please help me to find out is thiscondo unit suitable for me to buy?
  15. 1. If your home has not been built yet, try to see if you can avoid having a bed above the fireplace. 2. Logically, it will not be possible to have the bed above the fireplace since it usally has a stack or chimney that runs from the ground floor to the roof. 3. Frankly, other than moving the bed(s) away from a fireplace, what else can one do? It is either: this or that type of senario. 4. It is common to have a closet close to door. So long as possible, bedroom doors should preferably open inwards intoa bedroom and the door can easily open fully towards the wall. If this is so, then it is perfectly OK. Gwen B. wrote: Thank you so much for having this forum! We are adding a bedroom to our house and have the following concerns. I read another forum posting that if we need to place the bed on the same wall as the fireplace, just place it 3 cm from the wall. But what should we do if we not only share the wall but are directly on top of the fireplace (because the bedroom is on the 2nd floor, right above the family room with fireplace)? Second, is it okay to have the closet so close to (in the direct path of) the door upon entering the room?
  16. This is another link to some pictures especially of the quarter flower pattern "to hold up the beam" http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=19&mid=11438&new=
  17. 1. This image depicts the clubhouse. 2. Upon closer inspection, the roof of the clubhouse resembles a knife directed towards the bedroom of the ground floor unit. 3. The remedy is similar to the example; where the owner employs a day curtain to shield the interior of the apartment from this "poison arrow." 4. Even a rectangular roof (such as that of this clubhouse) located near a stack can generate a poison arrow directed at the apartment.
  18. Earth shaped blocks are characterised by flat roofs and squarish / rectangular type of blocks. This is a picture of two blocks of government housing flats known as HDB @ Upper Aljunied, Singapore.
  19. Tampines Court located at Tampines Street 11 was built by the former HUDC - a government initiative to build apartments for the middle income. Today, it is the equivalent of the Executive-Condos like the recently launched The Quartz kinda of type ofhousing. Whileit's sister ex-HUDC estate Waterfront View was sold for$240 psf and now building 4 condominiums on it. While this development was a first time failed attempt at en bloc sale during 2006 to 2008. The pictures show that all it's 14blocks are typically "earth shaped". Earth shapedbuildings are characterised bytypically "squarish or rectangular" with flat roofs. When buying suchan apartment near it; best to scan the environment to avoid buying such homes or apartments if there are buildings associated with the wood element. Wood element homes are tall and thin, much like a tree trunk. Streetdirectory link to the overall map of the site:- http://www.streetdirectory.com/asia_travel/travel/travel_id_8806/travel_site_83751/ Wood or theroots oftrees gets it's nurishment from the"earth".Thusif there are"wood" (tall and thin) not made of wood; then I would prefer to stay in a "wood" apartment vsan earth building.
  20. 1. Please see attachment. 2. From the picture, you can even see the shadow of the trellise that resembles spikes radiating out of the club house roof. It happens to slice into Stacks 28 and 29. 3. I have re-attached the site map and amended it in purple. As the stacks should be 28 and 29 and not 26 and 29.
  21. 1. When trying to select a new apartment in a condo; try to remember to avoid selecting units that are "suspect" to be in close proximity to the club house's roofing. 2. Especially if the club house is "rounded" and often, the club house would have trellises that "shoots" out spikes like this recently TOP condominium at Carabelle. 3. The saying goes: "A picture tells a thousand words".. Please go thru the various pictures and illustrations. 4. In this development, I have seen the trellis (acting as spikes) does slice into the open windows of the ground floor apartments. It may be so clear in the picture as the pictures are taken from lower ground upwards. So the whole situation will not be so clear in the picture. 5. The concept "If it cannot be seen, it no longer becomes a threat applies." But for practical reasons, day curtain may be effective. As we are "talking" about the living room balcony. Who in the world always closes the balcony window all the time or draw the day curtains fully? This is not practical. 6. The last resort is to hang a six hollow rod wind chime to deflect the sha qi from an opening e.g. the living room facade. For individual bedrooms, it is more practical to draw down the day curtain whenever possible. 7. The trellis "spikes" definitely will impact on Block 65 stack 29. It will also impact on stack 28. 8. At the other end; as Block 51 is quite a distance away, stacks 01 and 02 will not be attacked by this poison trellis given that it is further away.
  22. Mangosteen is considered an exotictropical fruit that is grown primarily in hot, humid climates of southeast Asia such as Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia,Philippines and Vietnam. Mangosteen has a thick outer skin that isdark purplein colour. Itabout 2 to 3 inches in diameter the size of apeach or small apple. It bears fruits only twic a year. And usually fruit at the same time as the durian. It's flesh is white and sweet. And it is said to be a "cooling" fruit. Many people take mangosteen after taking the heaty durian. The most unique feature of each magosteen is that it has a distinct marking in the form of a petal. And the strangest thing is that the number of petals = to the number of pieces of slices of fruit. If there are 5 petals it definitely means there are 5 slices of the fruit etc... Check out my pictures...
  23. 1. The Petals is one of the sites with good effort on Shapes & Forms Feng Shui. The six blocks are harmoniously blended into not exactly a triangle site. 2. It looks modern yet, its profile looks like the side of an olive or even a rugby ball. Each of the 6 blockssuppose to looklike petals ofthe flower.. that is how the condo was named after. 3. One of the most friendly designs. If one looks at each block closely in relation to the other 5 blocks (total of 6 blocks); there are no sha qi or poison arrows aimed at one another. 4. Another advantage of this type of blocks is that qi can flow easily between all the blocks without creating unnecessary "distrubed wind vortex" within each block and it's neighbours. 5. In addition, because all blocks are spaced well apart, this is an airy condo. 6. If we consider the various stacks (units); they are diverse and have frontage (balcony facing)that nearlyor close toapproximately13 out of a total of 15 Flying Star directions (or mountains). 7. Thus, one interesting point is that other than the Shapes and Forms; there are different "fortunes" for different people based on their fit to the various stacks due to the different qi from the different flying star directions of their individual balcony - facing. Other information: Tenure isFreehold No. of Units: 270 Completed under FlyingStar Period 7: Year2002 Developer: Centrepoint Properties Ltd Types of unit sizes: 2 bedrooms: 94 - 110 sq m 3 bedrooms: 108 - 160 sq m 4 bedrooms: 152 - 203 sq m Penthouse: 255 - 347 sq m
  24. 1. Gardenvisa is located at the former Yeo Hup Seng bottling plant factory. The developer is YHS Dunearn Pte Ltd (Far East Organisation). It was completed under Flying Star Period 8: Year 2006. Unit sizes: 818 - 1,442 sq ft 2. It consists of 318 units in a "fan shaped" design. It consists of a total of 10 storey's high of 6 Towers with 50 percent of mainly larger units facing the pool. 3. Generally, under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, this development has an "aggressive" site plan. At different times, I can envisage it as a different "knife". Sometimes, I see it as a Malay parang type of knife; at other times, it looks like or cannot be mistaken for some type of a "morphed" knife or an object that has several sides of blades or sharp areas. 4. Units at Tower 2 (pool / garden) view - depending on individual stacks - should have good Flying Star numbers. In fact, many of the pool cum garden units, equally have favourable Flying Star numbers since many are South-West facing directions: wealth collection. 5. I know of two owners who are now looking at purchasing landed properties after staying in this condo... (SW facing side). 6. In my opinion, some of the stacks have what is known as "Quantum Leap" in Feng Shui - Good or Aggressive Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, the fan layout is a gentle variant of the horse shoe effect or design - which encapsulate the phoenix and the back support (solid backing - tortise). 7. Despite the odd shaped layout plan, I am too kind to use the word "aggressive" Feng Shui. In fact, it should be elevated to what is known as "BLACK" Feng Shui. Don't get me wrong that it is "dirty" Feng Shui, but sites and developments that are considered BLACK Feng Shui, have the ability to "suck" wealth from the neighbourhood. 8. Just for info; White Feng Shui can be considered as having a building on a plot of land that does not "distrub" or we say neutral to or in harmony with its surroundings. For example, many of the Jurong Town Corporation factories are usually rectangular and flat roof .. and these are considered as Earth Element buildings. 9. Aggressive buildings are like the Gateway East and West :- http://www.streetdirectory.com/asia_travel/travel/travel_id_35094/travel_site_14692/ is considered as BLACK Feng Shui. Try buidling a building just in front of the two blocks and that building will not have good Feng Shui.
  25. Further to what I had mentioned, these are some of the previous resources on the Gateway and on Black and White Feng Shui:- Pictures of the Gateway can be seen in this link:- http://www.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=19&mid=12043&new= More about some Black and White Feng Shui:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=30&mid=23372&new=
