  1. 1. Purely from a Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, it is considered inauspicious. 2. This concept is based on the "East Dragon" and especially more towards: the "White Tiger" concept. 3. Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, it is not good to have an "open" mouth somewhat circular or looks like a hungry tiger's mouth. And since this home is facing SW, the water retention pond is considered as at the West side of the home - ie. the "white tiger's domain. 4. Just imagine, a tiger's mouth is always open "hungry" ... 5. Thus in general, even if the home is considered facing a favourable direction under Period 8 : SW, the prime concern here is the external Shapes and Forms Feng Shui - prevails.
  2. I will return to the Far East! While you get lost and go back to Far West! Please!!!
  3. Your question was whether the MRT tracks pose a sha qi or poison arrow: 1. I mentioned that based on the top-view; plus the distance of the MRT tracks to your Block 123; it does not seem to pose any Shapes and Forms issue. 2. The only issue is "noise pollution". And this relates more to do with human factors ... noise to some people especially frequent rumbling noise of trains passing by may not appeal to some people. 3. In addition, two other blocks act more like a "inverted" sub-woofer effect. 4. In addition, in my opinion, there are more curves in our LRT stations than the more gentle curves on our MRT stations. Anonymous wrote: Thanks once again for your prompt reply... pardon me, I don really understand below sentence quoted: 1. In my opinion, between the devil and the deep blue sea; between MRT stations (other than the Circle line); the tracks of the MRT stations are generally quite "straight" especially those elevated lines.... Compare this with the LRT tracks..... Now your question suddenly jump into a totally new topic or area:- Does it has to depends on the tenant 'BA ZHI' also? And for my house, can I install ceiling fan at my living hall? Thank you so much. Ideally, one should not the the fan blade when one stands at the main door looking inwards of the home. It is akin to a blade slicing towards one's body. Of course, one should also consider how suitable a person to a home.
  4. 1. In my opinion, between the devil and the deep blue sea; between MRT stations (other than the Circle line); the tracks of the MRT stations are generally quite "straight" especially those elevated lines.... Compare this with the LRT tracks..... 2. The only good thing is that LRT runs on soft tires Slower speed and less "imposing"...
  5. I have posted the link. And it so happens that your block of flat is also within the Tropica Springs ... Modena:- 1. The track is very close to being parallel to one side of your block. 2. Only pity is the two blocks : 122 and 120 will channel "noise pollution" towards your block. 3. I have personally heard the noise of mrt trains... in a HDB flat that is quite a distance from the MRT track... 4. Sha Qi from the physical track? No! As the track is quite parallel to your Block 123. 5. Noise pollution.... " Hell! YES, YES, YES, YES!"
  6. 1 picture tells a thousand words. 2 or more pictures, several thousand words. Only a few lines of text : I really cannot figure - the situation. I believe, even a whole paragraph does not beat - a picture.
  7. 1. Frankly, in Singapore, majority or literally all the MRT tracks are often running parallel to blocks of flats especially Condos and HDB's (government housing development board flats)and buildings. 2. Even in Simei, two condos have units running parallel to the MRT tracks. For example: Tropica Springs and Modena:- http://www.streetdirectory.com/asia_travel/travel/travel_id_21319/travel_site_1/ 3. In fact, several years back one of my clients had a unit in Tropica Springs parallel to the MRT track. What is more "disturbing" is literally the daily "noise" pollution from the MRT trains. 4. In fact, many HDB flats are buffered by multi-storey car parks. Please refer to the above link. It shows Multistorey car park Block 248 is buffering many HDB flats. 5. Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, so long as the tracks do not curve into or slice towards the apartment blocks and if it runs parallel, there is no poison arrow or sha qi, here. Thus only "noise pollution". 6. I was surpised to find that the Tropica Springs unit was not immune to the sound; the sound from the tracks is pentrating into the units. 7. Even many HDB flats that don't face the MRT tracks but inner e.g. Woodlands Drive 75 area, also get to heard the penetrating sound or noise from running MRT trains. 8. The Metropolitan condo that recently TOP in Redhill area:- http://www.streetdirectory.com/asia_travel/travel/travel_id_5938/travel_site_11443/ A few months back, I was at one of the units facing the MRT track. The developer provided double glazed windows, but still the sound from the daily commute of MRT trains is still irritable. And in this illustration, the MRT tracks is slightly curved "slicing" towards units on the same level as the MRT tracks. Distinctively, this is a knife slicing towards the development. 9. This reminds me of one of the largest Fast Food chain in Singapore (McDonalds). Their HQ is at the 2nd level of Kings Albert Park... When the overhead bridge was completed, it slices towards their head quarters - and it had affected their operations and income. I was tasked to look at the Feng Shui of it. The Anak Bukit Flyover Expressway had affected McDonald's 2nd Storey Operations where the Management staff are at:- http://www.streetdirectory.com/asia_travel/travel/travel_id_4707/travel_site_109741/ These are some of the examples of Shapes and Forms Feng Shui

  9. Anonymous wrote: We are about to buy a new home. The house is facing SW. The backyard is slopping up away from the house. 1. I hope got what you mentioned correctly. You are saying that the backyard is higher than the house? If so, strictly based purely on Shapes and Forms, it is akin to a mountain (tortise side) at the back of the home - which is generally good. Anonymous wrote: In front of the house on the SW side, there is a 1-acre storm detention pond. Does the storm detention pond pose any harm to the residents of the house? Thanks. 2. Seriously - a picture tells a thousand words. And these two sentences, ain't going to help .. one bit. Chinese saying "catch-no-ball, here"
  10. 1. A water feature that contains all five elements is suppose to create a balance of the five elements in a specific sector. But both in theory and at the same time the optimium consideration for a water feature. 2. However, in the past, a water feature is often used:- 2.1. A water feature with specific number of fishes especially "GOLD" fish : 7 gold-fish and 1 black gold fish is used to disarm bad qi areas that has either #5 or if there is a lamp post facing a window of a home and this is or was used to that effect. 2.2. For wealth: Nowadays, today, especially if the sector is SW (under the current 2004 upto 2023) a water position at SW is suppose to help tap the "indirect-water wealth" location. And more often, it can also be e.g. a 2ft by 2ft or 3or 4 ft vessel with just a water pump to act as a water position. 2.3. A swimming pool: Literally, a swimming pool or most swimming pool does not have all five elements in it. For example, how do you add earth in a swimming pool i.e. mud or sand in a pool? etc.. 3. In many cases, a water position (as mentioned under Para 2.2.) is good enough for a "wealth" location. While certain elements may be needed for an unbalanced sector e.g. Para 2.1. 4. The sample you had shown is perfectly good choice especially for generally the SW sector or it fits the requirements for the sector even if you throw mud or sand or plants in a water feature. It is still a large water feature by any standards.... here, it is the majority = water position that counts. Not how many leaves there are needed or not need in this water position.
  11. You can also find an illustration, here:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-face.htm
  12. 1. You can check out this link:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=23&mid=6723&new= Mole on the upper side of the nose denotes lust and extravagance. Moles on the left side of the nose (middle) indicate a changeable nature. An untrustworthy but lucky person who should be bewares of falls. Moles on the right side of the nose (middle) shows a great traveling urge, an outdoor occupation involve plenty of movement. Mole on the tip of the nose indicates a sincere friend though very outspoken. A mole on the nostrils is a sign of a rover. 2. In the past, a piece of one's hair is used to tie onto the mole. In a few days time, the mole would drop off and later on, it seems that there is no unsightly marks. Nowadays, best to seek professional help e.g. cosmetic surgeon of sorts.
  13. 1. Yes, if the tree is exactly at the front door; it is symbolic of a "butter" knife slicing your main door. 2. Good news or bad news? If the tree is relatively young i.e. not taller than 1 metre, there is some reprieve for the immediate. Wait until it grows taller, thicker than it becomes a real threat! 3. Last resort? One "noisy" option is to hang a wind chime at the frontage - in-front of the main door. Another alternative option is placing a concave mirror above the main door. 4. As you had mentioned, Para 3 need not happen if the tree does not appear, ..there....
  14. This comes under symbolism in Feng Shui. For example, the main entrance door is considered an important item or "entity". Thus, if there is a a water pipe with openings that flow right in front of the door, this is considered as inauspicious. Thus, if one stands at the main door especially looking out and see "symbolically" any water dripping and running "off" that door, this is considered inauspicious. This is similar to a flight of steps leading down to another storey : immediately facing a unit. Here, it symbolises wealth leaking out of the place be it a home / office / factory unit...
  15. 1. Further to what I had mentioned, simply just look at this attached pdf file: Sample Male person. In the above file, go to Page 4:- This sample persons best sleeping directions are:- Between: North (337.5 to 22.4) = Health South-East (112.5 to 157.4) = Longevity And his Best work or study directions are:- Between: E ast (67.5 to 112.4) = Excellent South (157.5 to 202.4) = Prosperity 2. Essentially, it is good to plot a Flying Star Chart in addition to the Ranking(s) I mentioned in the last recent message. To see which facing direction has a better Flying Star chart - especially for professional Feng Shui - assessment.
  16. 1. Please note that if you are an East group person; North, South, SE and East belongs to your group. 2. Thus SE is or has never "belonged" to the West group. To clarify: NE, NW, West and SW belongs to the West group. 3. Please note that there are so levels of priorities:- 4. If based purely on Flying Star Ranking:- Ranking ====== 1SW facing 2 NE facing 3South 4 East / West or NW or SE depending on the Flying Star Period of construction 5 North 5. Thus, try not to be mistaken that SE = West group. It has and never was nor belong to the West group person??
  17. You can use the following articles as a guide in understanding what is the "facing" and "sitting" director of a home:- Part I = Facing Direction of a home:-http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=15672&new= Part II = Facing Direction of a home:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=15673&new= Anonymous wrote: Does this means that the house should be SE facing house or located in SE sector of a city, etc. Frankly, if one were to look at it from a macro perspective of Feng Shui : your statement above is not wrong. It is considered NICE-to be located in a SE sector of a city. This is still correct. BUT, but, but, but, but... this is not the key essence in the Flying Star Feng Shui were it is used to calculate and thus tap upon the most "yang" qi = mouth of a home. Thus it is much easier to localise it to the micro Feng Shui i.e. SE facing homes. Since both of you belong the East group; generally, South and SE are considered suitable to an East group person.
  18. Honestly, it is difficult to comment on a few simple lines and say for sure which is the facing direction. Swathi C. wrote: dear masters! there is an apartment of period7 construction, with entrance as E2 FACING (gate) but the longer side and the apartment facing falls under N2 FACING.with a distance of 15feet there is another apartment constructed opposite to it.i think this opposite building working as a mountain.my questions: 1)am i right with my guessing. I have write-up explaining what is considered as the "mouth" of the home. One of the main factors under Flying Star is to see where is the most yang qi area. Since you are on the ground, you should the confidence to tell most likely which is the area that gets the most yang qi. The purpose of Flying star Feng Shui is fundamentally to see where qi (could / should / may) come in frequently from one area then the rest. I cannot just based on a few written sentences and say for sure which is the facing direction. Swathi C. wrote: 4)will it be OK to stay there or sell it off? Don't you think that it is too premature to say for sure whether you can or cannot stay, there. What you are asking is like : might as well toss a coin: heads = stay; tails = sell it off? Please that Rome is not built in a day. And proper Feng Shui analysis is serious stuff, U know? Want to build your dream home? The above link, shows somefactors and there are many more to consider whether one should stay or move. BUT it is onlyconsidered only after exhaustive review of your ba zi, the home Flying Star chart and Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. I cannot blameif you want to toss the dice= type of thingy?.
  19. 1. Pleaserefer sample attachment: Sample Male Luck periods.pdf 2. In this example,of the Sample Male: 2006 - 2015 (Age 36 - 45) "Luck against you" 3. However, it generally means that forthe 10 years, luck is generally against the period. But, there is such thing as a person's 5 Yearlyand 6 monthly luck:- Although this is considered an inauspicous period, but not all months are inauspicious. Thus 2010 is an auspicious year for the person. 2011 is fairly a good year also. 1st 6 months of 2014 and 2015 are fairly good years. 20. 1. A proper Ba Zi chart will :- 1.1. Show trends e.g. a person's luck every 10 years. 1.2. A separate chart showing 5 yearly, yearly and even 6 monthly chart. 2. Thus, even if say the next ten years is considered as "wealth luck against" it does not mean that every day, month and year in that10 years is unlucky. It simply means that for say the next 10 years, "heaven" luck is weighted against the person. Swathi C. wrote: dear masters, In the bazi chart list ,you provided "wealth luck against" 1)does it mean that throughout the said period ,one doesnt earn money or one will end up with no bank balance left in his account? 3. Feng Shui is about earth luck. And it is an age old tradition under the Feng Shui assessment for Geomancers to give advice on e.g. bedroom colour schemes to harmonise the person staying in that bedroom with their ba zi. 4. Nowaday, some go too far as wearing only colours suited to their ba zi. It is also common to find people buying cars based on their best ba zi colours. 2)by following colors can one improve his or her luck? 5. Much has been discussed of Feng Shui cures. Some cures are symbolic some are associated with the five elements: e.g. 6 coins tied with red string represents big metal controlled by fire element. 3)like how 5elements are used as cures in flyingstar solutions ,can carrying the elements related products work as personal corrections in bazi solutions?
  21. 1. Feng Shui cannot be done by remote-control. For example, if one does not stay in that home; one's earth luck does not come from that home. 2. Like any other investment decisions; if we ourselves have some concerns in a property, do assume that others would so the same; later if one intends to sell it off. 3. For example; Block and unit numbers of apartments does not come under Feng Shui. But for majority of the Chinese; we may be concerned of numbers especially if a unit has #04-44 etc... 4. Many of us are already aware of much of the factors that may be considered as "bad" or poor Feng Shui like: a unit directly facing a road and other neighbouring block's sharp or angular corners of buildings aimed towards our balcony/living room / bedrooms etc... 5. In many condominiums; units even next door to each other have different Feng Shui. So, rather than "speculate" on a whole condo; Feng Shui is very localised: "It depends!"
  22. Further to what I had mentioned for this thread SW sector and a recent one regarding NW sector, also. Please see my comments on the attached illustration.
  23. 1. Please note that this is a free general advice forum. And all those questions with Date of birth provided - have to be ignored. 2. In my opinion, Vastu (Indian art of "Feng Shui") is more of Shapes and Forms. For example, several buildings that were constructed in India based on Vastu are buildings with an "eye" for "perfect" measurements on advice of your Vastu practitioners. 3. Under Feng Shui, both Shapes and Forms and Compass Schools are used widely. 4. For example, in a recent reply, I referred to "The Last Heaven Sequence" Ba Gua Trigram. This is used in Feng Shui. 5. And what is more important is the sector NW. Where if a kitchen especially the stove is at the NW cardinal point:- 5.1. Heaven Luck - luck from heaven is blocked or burned 5.2. NW is associated with the head of the house = Male Bread-winner. 6. Thus, on one hand, 5.1. = No heaven luck. In addition, Kitchen at NW = "Fire at Heaven's gate" extremely bad for the male bread-winner. 7. I attach again The Last Heaven Sequence chart. SW is associated with the Earth. While NW is the Heaven. So based on this interpretation; Fire can be on earth. So no major significance - HERE
  24. Thanks for this link. As the earlier posting was a google map and very unclear. As it only shows a front row of shorter bushes and quite a distance back a row of tall trees - no fence. 1. The wooden fencing in the link you provided is ideal. And an excellent choice - as it need not be "air-tight". The spaced out wood columns do help in circulating qi or air. 2. The tall trees along the wooden fencing is considered "nice" to have and not a must have. 3. Enclosed within the area is a reasonable garden for qi to "collect". 4. One of the main concerns about "T-junction" has more to do with commonsence, that of a car going out of control and ploughing thru a home. 5. Thus the trees are an added advantage as mature - healthy trees are very good at stoping cars - no good for the driver/ passenger but sort of good for the homeowner. But, really how often such things happen! Touch wood! 6. What is seen in the picture - perfectly good choice - from a Feng Shui point of view = Good. Can't have anything else better as even the side of the home facing the T-juction does not have an opening = equally good.
  25. Further to what I had mentioned, please refer to the resources, below:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-pakua.htm Under this link this statement: "On the other hand, "The Later Heaven Sequence" is being used for Feng Shui assessment as it reflects the real life" If you carefully see The Later Heaven Sequence Ba Gua, NW = HEAVEN. And in your home, a stove is now "at the entrance" or blocking Heaven chart. And this heaven chart refers to Heaven Luck and also NW symbolises the Male Head of the house.
