Dear Anon, To be honest, some homes or apartments have bad Flying star numbers at the centrepoint of the home, especially under Period 7. Therefore, in general, a toilet is exactly not a major issue for such homes. Instead of placing those mirrors or screens or false wall, in my opinion, it is simply to leave it as it is. And, if possible, try to maximize or enhance qi or neutralise qi in a home in other areas. From a practical point of view, few if any nowadays, place a mirror at the toilet door. And those false walls is often very cumbersome to get in and out of the toilet when there is limited space. And most importantly the toilet if possible should be dry and airy instead of being enclosed most of the time. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Water position is particularly good at SW is the indirect wealth spirit sector. Try to check out this past posting:- Illustration Of A Five Element Enhancer Posted in: Info :: Feng Shui Tips & Guidelines Posted on: Fri, 05 Jul 2002, 11:14 AM In general, the water feature need not look like the above, but do take note that the best water feature MUST not be too small e.g. those minature desktop ones. More importantly, if possible, the water feature must try to have all five elements in it. Please go to that article for more details. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: Understand thatplacing a water feature on the east or southwest corner of the living room is good in 2008. If so, what kind of water feature would you recommend?

Dear Dave, You can try to search for : " Food and Yin and Yang" or Yin and Yang Foods...or foods that are yin and yang... As under the Chinese system as you have mentioned, food can be classified as under Hot (Yang) and Cold (Yin).... In general, chicken and pork should in my opinion, be classified as under "white meat". Nowadays, the main concern is that animals both chicken and pig (pork) may be injected with too much anti-biotics... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Please see attachment: sample illustration, below:- 1.1. A condominium. 1.2. Person A : Best personal elements are 1. Water (Blue, black or grey) 2. Wood (Green or wood tone or brown) 1.3. Person A's Gua: East group person. 2.In this condo, the Person occupies the Master bedroom located at South direction. And this happens to be Person's A's : Excellent direction. 3. Person A's best elements are 1. Water (Blue, black or grey) 2. Wood (Green or wood tone or brown). BUT the combination of Flying star numbers in this bedroom has especially a bad #3 = bad wood element. Thus best to avoid GREEN colour in this bedroom. As this bedroom also has a bad #7 metal, based on his ba zi element: he can use : 1. Water (Blue, black or grey) 2. Wood (Wood tone or brown) colours which match his ba zi. However,asGREEN is also suitable to him BUT, as there is a bad #3 wood, it is bestto avoid GREEN colour. Thus, not only we should review Gua VS Personal Element (Ba Zi) but also Gua VS Personal Element (Ba Zi) VS Flying star elements. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Yes, if your working position is North, then you should be facing North and sitting with your back at South. My Kua Number 1 My best working position is N ( 337.5 to 22.4) Do you mean sitting N at 337.5 to 22.4 facing N with my back at South. 2. You should be facing SE. And sitting with your back against NW Quote: If I base on the sitting position recommended. MyWealth position is SE (Prosperity) If I choose to work on this position.. Do you meansitting on SE facing and facing SE position . 3. Usually, especially the for the Five Yellow, it is advisable for this and Tai Sui location to : not to do anymajor renovations or distrub these two areas, this year. Only recently, from 1980's onwards some Feng Shui practitioners voiced concern "to avoid" sitting facingespecially Tai Sui. But, realistically, this is considered as "nice-to-have" not a must have. Given that many people work at fixed work-stations and don't have the luxury to shift one's desk/or work-top. Some simply can't! However, if one is trying to close a deal say in a meeting room, then if possible try not to sit facing "north" - again - if possible to do so. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Thank you for your detalied illustration. Option B is acceptable in Feng Shui. For Option A, from a Shapes andForms Feng Shui point ofview, althoughyou are "technically" correct to place a "mountain" in the form of the check of drawers -- but, the bed-head is not "resting" onto a proper "wall" or "window" for support. The key issue under Option A is i.e. from a top-view; the bed is literally not supported atit's bed-head. As compared to Option B where, the bed-head is supported by the "building" wall orclose to the window. Thus what is worse off is to have the bed on it's own in the middle of an "island". WarmestRegards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: We would like to place our bed with headboard facing the South East window wall. We have an idea (please see image) to: (A) use some chest of drawers to 'back' our headboard without having to sleep directly under windows or (B) have bed under window, headboard either lower than / covering part of windows. Both ideas, we will cover the window with wooden Venetian blinds with slats upwards. The windows are 3-panel, sliding, only the left-most panel is usually opened. Can the chests of drawers actually act as 'wall' or 'support'?

Dear Gabi, All of us have taken an examination or examination(s) in our life. And usually we find some teachers teaching us some "techniques" in how to approach certain types of questions. For example, one of the most common type of examinations (school examinations) is: that we are given a time limit i.e. to try to answer 5 questions say out of 10 questions given. Many of our teachers will ask us to allocate a specific time for each of the questions. Thus if we were told to answer this exam paper within 2 1/2 hours and need to (compulsory) answer 5 questions then we should try to allocate 30 minutes each. And the logical way is to try to answer all 5 questions giving each question say no more than 30 minutes. The rationale is simple, here, the key word is try to "MAXIMIZE" our score. No point answering only 4 questions and leaving out the 5th question which totals = 20 marks for that question. Some of us even fail by answering 4 or less questions. Feng Shui is also the same: Try to maximize our "luck" (score). For example, if we find that our "prosperity" is found in the toilet, and because such areas are fixed, most of the time (frankly) we can't do more, here. So, try to maximize your luck by enhancing or neutralising some other sectors, instead. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Gabi H. wrote: in our house we have 2 toilets andd 2 bathrooms in the south east. what can i do to help our prosperity?Thank you for this site.

Dear Anon, If placement of Feng Shui cure(s) is not recommended then, one may consider using air-cleaners such as Hepa cleaners and/or air-cleaners that can produce negative ions. Or already some air-conditioners do have some sort of ion or silver nano technology to kill the germs. We hear "space clearing" and it is good that we constantly keep our home(s) tidy and clean. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: What is your advice for suppressing the negative energies in these 2 sectors if placement of feng shui cure items is not recommended?

Dear Hemant, Frankly, there is no direct relationship between selling say a godown vs Feng Shui. A godown is especially related more with business decisions, then Feng Shui. In the holy trinity of luck: considerations include: things like your office Feng Shui, home Feng Shui.... Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: HEMANT K. wrote: I want to sell one built up godown having north facings, but despite my full effortsI am failed to getany offer, any feng shui tip so as to get earliest funds from the sale of this property. This Godown was earlier used as a store for junk materials viz.. iron scrap, plastic scrap, electric motors, old used machinery, and some of the stock is still lying in the godown.

Dear Anon, Since youintend to do a major renovation, then try to select the latest date. It is good to just see which period is better. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: It is a2 story house that used to be 2separate houses, one donwstairs and oneupstair. The first story (house nr.1) was built in 1956, the second story (house nr.2) in 1981........ andifwebuy the house we would do a mayor renovation in order to conect both houses and transform them in only one house.

Dear anon, Usually, it would be good for an employer to install low height partitions at your workspace (if possible). You have not mentioned whether your work space is an open desk or already have a low height partition. If you already have low height partition, this is fairly acceptable in an office environment where one's desk is directly facing the office door. And no further needed. It is good also that your table is possible, moved slightly instead of direclty facing the office door. In an office environment, we have to understand that often staff cannot control the situation. For info, only: see attachment. Some companies use this type of workstations x 4 or 2 persons. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: Hi Fengshui Master, My current work desk is facing directly towards the office door. Is there any way I can reduce the 'chi' flowing in from the door? Is it harmful? Assuming I cannot change the facing of my desk (sharing the room with colleagues), will it help if there's a partition or bookshelfbetween my desk and the door? Is there any other improvements that I can make?

Dear Linh, Please take note that you should use the conVEX mirror. And not the conCAVE mirror. In this website, under "Photo Tour".. I had several years back included pictures and description of the various mirrors. Briefly, conVEX mirror(s):- 1. Simple convex mirror surrounded by a border e.g. a red plastic border. Usually comes in two sizes, the smallest is approximately 3 to 3.5 inches. 2. Some convex mirrors are found in the middle of a bagua mirror (which has the 8 hex trigrams embeded on it). This can also be used. Nowadays, itcomes usually in yellow background. but the mirror is a polished mirror. 3. Some have a flat mirror. And sometimes surrounded with a fierce chi ling or lion head... 4. In general, some buy mirrors under Para 2, for both deflecting sha qi or poison arrows and also dual purpose of "protecting the home" or safeguarding the home from "evil spirits" - which some feel may attempt to get into the home. 5. In your case, Para 1 is good enough! 6. ConCAVE mirror 7. In general, some use this to "SUCK" wealth. For example, some homes have missing corners e.g. North-West sector. And one way is to use a conCAVE mirror placed strategically to "suck" back the wealth. 7.1 As North West is an important sector, the heaven luck sector and the Head of the house, sometimes a missing corner here, may mean that the head of the house may not feel like returning home. 7.2 Even normal mirrors can be used i.e. for e.g. in Singapore at Howards storage (Howards has many chains in Austrialia), basement of Parkway Parade, they sell mirrors e.g. for "pulling beard" or for shaving.. where one sidehas a flat mirror while the other sidehas a "X2" or"X5" magnification. These mirrors are conCAVE! 8. Be warned! If you happen to stay in an apartment, and if your neighbours door is directly facing yours, and if your neigbhour places a conCAVE mirror above their door aiming at yours, it means or imply that he/she is (whether they are aware or not) trying to suck wealth from your home! Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Linh D. wrote: Dear Cecil, I would like to know whether i should use a concave or convex mirror for angled building post of neighbor's house aims at my house. Yes, for this year, the Five yellow #5 is at south. Thus as you have mentioned any external work will affect your bedroom. It is quite difficult to place metal between your room and the work carried out. For those who live a landed property, the car can be used as a shield. In this form as far back as 1989, I have mentioned that one of the traditional "cures" is(was) the use of the "salt water..." 1. get a glass jar e.g. the size of a jam jar or those similar to the kopitiam clear glass type of glassware. 2. add 6 copper coins (six coins represent big metal. While 7 coins represent small metal.) 3. add 2 to 3teaspoonful of salt 4. add water and stir the contents. 5. have to place it close to the window. Symbolically, other cures include : tie a string of 6 coins and hang it on the curtain rail area (especially for #2). Some other Chinese cures include the placement of a bottle gourd or hulu e.g. at the bedside table.... What actually happens is that the salt water solution will react with the copper coins ... just becareful not to place it too close to the bed. In modern times, try to use air-cleaners especially with Hepa filters and those that can produce negative ions or silver nano.. systems.. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, so long as the frontage or the "head" portion of a house is not "chopped-off" to be re-renovated. For example, for some homes, the owners left the back part of the home intact but started to built a new front of the home. If so, it is still best to demolish the entire home and start from fresh again. Generally without looking into the finer details, how squarish or rectangular or how odd shaped the property is, all these will affect the final outcome as to whether we should "join" back the house. If it is just adding back walls that were previously knocked out, in general, if done properly, it may be acceptable to do so. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: House built in 1904, turned into 2 flats now in 2008 turned back into a house- is this a good or bad house to live in ? If bad what cures do you recommend?

Dear Mr Ang, 1. Strictly based on Flying Star Feng Shui ie. without looking at the interior room layout, suitability based on Eight House and placement: 1.1 As you had mentioned, in terms of sickness issues; the two most "health issue" bedrooms are: Rm2: SW sector, MS9, MS5, BS4 (Equally bad with MS5 fuelled further by MS9) Rm3: W sector, MS5 , WS9 , BS9 (Extremely bad as there are double #9's fuelling MS5! Rm1: In terms of health issues still have the #2 sickness stars. And of course "theft/robbery - loss of wealth" x 2 #7 in the bedroom. Frankly, have to look at the layout. Based strictly on Flying Star Rm1 : health wise can be controlled much more effectively -- without moving metal to constantly destroy stars like #5's. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Ang A. wrote: Dear Cecil, Istay in a3 bedrms HDB but since 2007 I felt that my health is going down hill with pain in back, frozen shoulder and etc. Can you advise which of my 3 rooms are more suitable for me to improve on health ? Rm 1: S sector, MS7 , WS7 , BS2 Rm2: SW sector, MS9, MS5, BS4 Rm3: W sector, MS5 , WS9 , BS9 Based on my limited understanding, it appears that all 3 isn't great in Period 8. My is a period 7 house. Dear All, In Singapore, some clients managed to purchase the fake Chinese ancient coins to be laid before the entire flooring of the home or apartment has been completed. Make sure that the coins are "metallic" e.g. copper coins not plastic. And last year clients purchased it at approximately S$2.50 or 25 cents each... But heard that some clients purchased at S$3.50 for 10 pieces - now (at The Bencoolen) which is diagonal to Sim Lim Square and The Bencoolen is opposite to The Burlington Square and also directly opposite OG Albert complex. See attachment. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Irina, 1. For info, only, unless it is Chinese name (mandarin or even dialect characters); each Chinese character(s) is represented by an element i..e. water, wood, fire, earth or metal. Quote: Irina M. wrote: I have recently started a health & fitness club. The name of the business is Platinum Fitness. 2. If one is a strong earth person, then under the Five elements concept; best elements or colours for such a person are: 2.1 Colours: Metal (White or silver, gold) type of colours Your wealth colour: Wood (Green or brown or wood tone) Neutral colour: Water (Blue, black or grey) 2.2 Since wood is your wealth colour; then I would strongly suggest e.g. your logo be say GREEN in colour ...... wood is represented by something like a tree trunk type of shape ... tall and tin. But if this shape is hard to use e.g. it can also represent "undernurishment" "thin" or fragile, then you can go for a Metal logo: where metal represents circle or oval shape. The other option is that you can also incorporate wavy patterns (Water element the neutral element). Attachment: Shows the recommended number of colours for a company signage and also that the signage should have odd length and even height. All the best, Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear All, Please see attachment. Illustration showing a white quartz tied with red string. Regards, Cecil Lee Quote: Cecil L. wrote: 2. The most common cure for infidelity is to purchase a white quartz crystal or a reddish or purple amethyst stone (the shape and size of a baby boy's penis). Dear Chris, For relationship issues: 1. Especially for a landed property, avoid placing a water feature i.e. when standing inside the home (main entrance) looking out avoid having a water feature on the "right" side of the compound. 2. The most common cure for infidelity is to purchase a white quartz crystal or a reddish or purple amethyst stone (the shape and size of a baby boy's penis). And use an entire red string and wound round the entire stone. Next place it sandwiched below say the box-bed or in-between the bed and the platform support. 3. Usually, another concern is to check where is the SW sector of your home. If possible, keep this sector "bright" or clean or clear space. 4. For those who familiar with Flying star Feng Shui could consider checking where is your #3 (romance) sector in your home: In particular, if there is a WS#3 and if this happens to be the location of a water feature, erh... not too good an idea. If cannot move the water feature, than suggest refer to Para 2, above. You can also enhance this year's star #3 or try to avoid having a water feature, here. Under the Five elements concept: #3 is a wood element. And under the productive cycle, water fuels wood. Thus making it worse off! Under the Five elements concept: Water -

Attached, please find a sample: typical Singapore Government Housing Development Board (HDB) apartment plan. Many local Chinese place their altar as shown in the attachment - at or close to the centrepoint (or center palace) of the apartment / flat. Quote: Cecil L. wrote: In the past when Singapore Housing and Development Board (HDB) developed apartments, especially those of the four and five room HDB. One will notice that many Chinese who had placed an alter would place it at this location. Since there is a base # - current prosperity, this altar is symbolic of a "solid object" with mass. In addition, it is in a central palace of the home.

If one looks at every 20 Year Flying Star Chart, the base star (center palace or middle box)for that 20 Year Flying Star Chart is always the "current prosperity" star. For example, under Period 8, you always find the base# as 8. Under Period 7, the base# is 7 , and so on... Frankly, one does not need rocket science to figure out that in a modern home, a large percentage of homes either have a toilet at this or near this location or it may be close to the passage-way. Thus, try to figure it yourself. How many pages one can write about "imprisonment". In the past when Singapore Housing and Development Board (HDB) developed apartments, especially those of the four and five room HDB. One will notice that many Chinese who had placed an alter would place it at this location. Since there is a base # - current prosperity, this altar is symbolic of a "solid object" with mass. In addition, it is in a central palace of the home. Expecially for a business, some clients may be advised to built a storeroom at this central palace to imprison in particular if the sector has particularly bad stars such as a #5 with #7 or even double #5's. Many living in landed property, have taken advantaged of the requirement to build a "bomb or we call household shelter" at this location or close to this location. Again, for a person who e.g stay say in a condo or an apartment, has to depend on the layout of your apartment. "Imprisonment" is a simple enough concept. Thus, it does not take more than a few sentences to elaborate on it. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. Attachment 1: Usually, one has to find out what colours are suitable to the person. Under the attachment 1: Mr ABC has two daughters. He has found out their individual best colours. In addition, if he decides to place both daughters in the same bedroom, then, Mr ABC, has already worked out their combined best colours or simply known as the binding element. 2. Since you know that your home is SW, but you have to determine under Flying star whether your home is a SW1 or SW2 or SW3 home or apartment. Afterwhich.. one has to draw a flying star chart. A sample is as shown, under Attachment 2.

Dear Cah..., I strongly suggest you go and read or re-read some of my other replies.... Clue: 1. Situational approach: No two situations or "flying star charts are" the same.... 2. Yes, try to be more conversant with the "Five Elements Concept".. 3. In a 20 year flying star chart.. there are more than 1 variable.. e.g. MS# WS# and Base #. 4. Sometimes.. when the cure is "very complicated"..... please check out my very recent posting on "Yin / Yang " concept as the higher food chain of the Five Elements concept..... If so: please evaluate what you have said " In flying star concept, we need water to activate water star and we need wall to activate mountain star, is it true ?" ... Instead.. I should be asking you: TRUE or NOT? Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear All, Note: In the attachment, only the "middle" bedroom window is affected by the Sha qi "sharp edge" of the other building. Warmest Regards, Cecil
