  1. Frankly, there is no hard and fast rule; try to get advise from family members or friends when they come over. As even if ask me now, I would be able to undertand the situation. As other factors include the lighting condition etc... Thus seek the advice of people close-by to see if they feel "comfortable" with the present situation.
  2. 1. You are trying to apply the Eight House concept to your bedroom arrangement. 2. Please note that this Eight House concept where I understand that you are a East group person i.e. South, SE etc... is a "nice-to" apply but not a "Must-need-to" apply. 3. First and foremost (unfortunately) as you had mentioned, a bedroom usually have a bedroom door, windows and other openings such an attached toilet. 4. Thus as you had already mentioned, as much as you would like to place your bed against "south" this is where your bedroom door is! 5. Frankly, from your description, it is still hard to figure out the entire bedroom layout. However, as mentioned, one of the most important critera is the Shapes and Forms of the bedroom. 6. Thus, although it is "nice-to" sleep with your bed-head facing a good direction, BUT, the natural layout - based on Shapes and Forms has a higher weightage. Equally if you could sleep 'boarded firepace in the southeast as mentioned by you above, try to do so. 7. One more point is to avoid the legs facing the bedroom door (where possible). This is known as a coffin position.
  3. Usually for such a home often there are at least 3 or more major wealth leaks. One of the most common leaks for such a home is a straight path of qi (chi) from one side of the home's window to another opening. (This opening can also be a window, door or balcony opening. It is best to try to figure out what is the wealth leak, here.
  4. In a very recent forum reply, I mentioned:- 1. Acceptable to have blue roofing with white external walls. (or OK) 2. Grey roofing should also go with white external walls. (or OK) 3. Clay or orange coloured roofing can go with just any colour. This goes with maroon roofing.
  5. 1. Yes, agree. Htng H. wrote: I read somewhere that if the window is far away, it doesn't matter if your main entrance is facing it? 2. Another point is that if the mirror or reflection is very close to the main door, some people may get a "fright" in seeing themselves reflected in a mirror when just opening the door..
  6. This attached picture is than considered inauspicious.
  7. In my opinion, the blue colour or stripes is a non-issue. What we are concerned is the blue colour on or onto the ceiling not the sides of the ceiling wall. Thus, the picture shown is acceptable. We are more concerned with painting the entire ceiling blue. As in the I-ching, blue represents difficult.
  8. These homes are on silts at the fringe of Tanjong Rhu, Singapore 1950's
  9. 1. Qi (or Chi) can be reflected by mirrors or glass. One school of thought is that if that sector is a good sector, you may inadvertently reflect qi OUT of your home. Not so much of reflecting the next block of flats. 2. However, if there is any angles on that block of flat e.g. sharp corner aimed towards your home, then, this is considered inauspicious as one can see "double" the poision arrow.
  10. A common village scene@ Tanjong Katong, inthe early 1930's. There are lots of coconut trees all over Singapore. What is interesting is that can you see the free range chickens & ducks along the fringe of the river? Today, you still can get commercial chickens packaged as "kampong chicken". They are the equivalent of free range chickens in the west. The only difference is that they are always outside roaming as it is. While in the west, free range farming is that at night, the chickens are made to go into a large shelter. There is a chicken rice store along River Valley road, selling kampong chickens. They are thinner, not so oily....
  11. 1. Under the eight house concept, it is:- 1.1. It is nice-to-have the home (apartment) suitable to the breadwinner (usually male person). 1.2. It is also nice to have family members having bedroom in their good sectors. 2. It is called "NICE-to-HAVE" and not a MUST-have. Vicky L. wrote: Hi Me and my husband are both WEST group people and we are looking at stack 25 for Waterfront wave. You mentioned previously that we need to check the 8th house of influence for wealth leak position. How do I know where is that ? Also my 2 kids are EAST group people. Any advice on which rooms will be suitable for them (studies and health) since the house is generally suitable for WEST group people. Thanks 3. For your children, it would be "nice-to-have" their bedrooms located in say @ North, South, SE and/or East. And if possible, their study positions could face these directions. Again, this is nice-to-have not a must have. 4. This Eight House concept is all about NICE-TO-have, and if possible, should be suitable to the breadwinner. 5. Other than that this concept, does not provide any cures. How to? Either one stays in a good sector or not, there is no way to change that. In addition, if one cannot face a good sector (e.g. for study), that's it, simple.
  12. In your case it is still acceptable SO LONG as there is no poison arrow aimed at your main door. For example, if there is a lamp post slicing towards your main door. And you have this reflection in the mirror, then, this is considered like "doubling the bad luck".
  13. 1. The most common consensus amongst Feng Shui practitioners is the location where there is the most "yang" (activity) qi. 2. Thus, it makes sense that most likely, your frontage could be where "all the traffic flows into and out" of the home. Anonymous wrote: Hello, I am new to feng shui and have a question. Can you tell me what is the front door to my house? Is this the actual physical front door that we do not use or is this actually my back door where all the traffic flows into and out of the house? Thank you.
  14. The concern is that the reflection is symbolic of having "two" stoves. And two stoves is considered inauspicious i.e. two wives....
  15. Son, you prefer to stay in Bayshore or THE Bayshore? Naturally, THE sounds superior than just Bayshore! So, I will go for THE Bayshore... seems more high class, rite?
  16. Some Feng Shui practitioners bring a large suitcase full of Feng Shui items and start to charge people inflating their Feng Shui fee.
  17. There are two types of Flying Star analysis:- 1. The most common is the horizontal Flying Star Feng Shui where a home can be classified as belonging to one of the 15 directions or mountains. 2. If I am not mistaken, you mentioned yours is a home and does not seem to have a floor or storey number. 3. Please re-read the objective of that report. If I am not mistaken, the report does mention that it is FOR apartments. The report is meant for analysis using VERTICAL Flying Star. Therefore, there is no relevance to a landed property - if you choose to apply it to a landed property. This is in-correct. Anonymous wrote: Hi, I entered 3310 house number address then the year house was built was 1986 (front door facing SW direction). Then I got the following answer for Interpretation: [4] & [6] depends on star 5 and base star. I don't understand this. Please let me know if this house is right before purchasing or what will happen if the following people with the birthdays plan to live in it: May 1, 1966; May 17, 1966, and September 1, 2000. I would appreciate any help. Thank you. 4. A home has it's own birth chart. And this is plotted and analysed using Flying star Feng Shui. 5. You gave three persons dates of birth. Here, please find out what is the Eight House/ or East-West Group or ba cai Feng Shui. As the birthdates are more relevant here especially to find out how suitable the home is to - breadwinner in particular. Some use ba zi instead of the Eight house Feng Shui. 6. It is good to spent productive time, understanding each concept, first before jumping the gun or making pre-mature evaluation or getting facts mixed up or missing all over.
  18. 1. You can check out this link as to how others may apply their ba zi analysis. And how some maydiffer from this site:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=2&mid=23906&new= As far as we are concerned, we have adopted the best and consistent practises. Even some sites, got it wrong earlier... have revised and followed our methods. 2. I would like to inquire if anyone knows specifically which career element do Retail (Supermarket/Grocery/other Retails chains) falls in? Generally as I am thinking of venturing into the retail line, but unsure of which category to go into (fashion / food / non-food like hardware / cars? ). You can view the general element in which certain industries belong to:- http://www.geomancy.net/talknotes/talknotes.htm Please note that usually it is better to zoom in or focus on what is your exact JOB FUNCION or JOB DESCRIPTION. For example:- 1. If you are doing co-ordination work (can be any industry) or project management or training this is usually considered as wood industry. 2. If you are into sales and marketing, then your major job function is considered as belonging to the Fire element. 3. Customer relations and Human resource belongs to the earth element. 4. Accounting belongs to the metal element. 4.1 Please note that there is NO right or wrong answers! In the past, a butcher is a butcher, a tailor is a tailor, a scholar is a scholar. 4.2 Nowadays, with multi-skilling, even a manager, has only to manage staff but also do hiring, firing, sales, and marketing. Overall, if we see the bigger picture, a manager is responsible for strategic planning and growth, his main job emphasis. And thus, he may be considered as strongly in the "wood element" type of work. 5. Usually to be realistic, one can also examine or break down the element into:- YOUR INDUSTRY e.g. Hospital (WOOD) YOUR MAIN JOB SPECIFICATION e.g. Doctor (WOOD)
  19. Tell me? Tell me? Why this photo is inauspicious? I can't figure out why these two beautiful, healthy and lovely cactus.. aren't good enough for you?
  20. A'nt that bad, here, SON! You get to wear your auspicious colour: RED!
